Anyone else TTC over the age of 40? I have a 19 month who was conceived first attempt. TTC #2 since June without success so far. Be good to hear from anyone in the same boat! I’m still bfeeding so wondering if that might be a factor. Plus my age obvs!

Oh that sounds like a tough journey for you. I’ve only been TTC #2 since June so a short time really in comparison. It’s annoying when you know time isn’t on your side. I’m still feeding and hoping that might be what’s preventing me conceiving. Trying to wean my son gradually but it’s not easy! Hope this year is your lucky one!

Hello everyone! Hope it’s ok if I jump on this thread as I’m 41 (42 in April) and have been ttc since August 2017 Confused Had my son Sept 2016 after 8 months of trying and no intervention but this second time is just not happening so far, we’ve had 4 miscarriages (all around 6-8 weeks) and all the tests but it’s just bad luck (and low egg reserve). Anyway, we’ve decided to keep trying until the end of the year so here I am!
Good luck to all of you and I too am taking the CoQ10 along with Zita West’s DHA, vitamin D and folic acid- I’m rattling! Grin

Will do, thanks for the advice!

I’m thinking that’s what I will have to do. I rarely feed during the day but do often through the night as my son is a poor sleeper!

Ubiquinol / CoQ10 600 per day.

Great thanks I will look into it. Congrats on your pregnancy!

What dose did you take? Congrats on your pregnancy!

I had my second at 41. Conceived just as I turned 41. Our first took 18 cycles to conceive, but second was quick. I gave up breastfeeding to conceive my second. Good luck.

Hi OP, yes ubiquinol can be very helpful for us older ladies, but take a high dose. I had my twins at 41 and like you knew I wanted another immediately. Unfortunately I found that I had to stop breastfeeding entirely in order for my cycles to return though. I just turned 43 and am currently 15 weeks pregnant with number 3 😊.

Lots of people say that ubiquinol helps egg quality and is useful to use when a bit older. I figured it can’t hurt anyway! Do some googling and find which brand looks good for you. I get mine from just vitamins. Fingers crossed for 2021 as you say!

Good to hear from you, this is exactly how I am feeling! Blessed to have a lovely wee boy but as soon as he was born I knew I wanted another. Haven’t heard of ubiquinol is it recommended? Yes I was reading about hormones which is why am wondering if me bfeeding might have an impact. I always said I wouldn’t become obsessed but having luckily conceived first try with #1 I didn’t need to. Now am having a harder time second time around and it’s frustrating when it’s all you want! Plus there isn’t much on aT the moment to take your mind off it! Hoping you get your BFP in 2021!

Hi Jen, yes I’m 40 approaching 41 and have been trying for no.2 for about 6 cycles. I have a 3yr old so it feels like forever ago I was pregnant!
Had one CP since trying again and a few cycles that were a bit odd and I wonder if I conceived but hormones weren’t high enough to get a positive test. Been taking ubiquinol for a few months and hoping that helps!
It’s horrible but I’m completely obsessed with it and just want it to happen so much. I feel very lucky to have my little one so I’d never feel sorry for myself if it didn’t happen but I would feel sad.
