TTC 2021-lets keep it fun and interesting (sex talk)

So I’m TTC my 3rd I’ve been doing OPK I’m supposed to ovulate on the 18th but my LH isn’t peaking o got of the depo shot (my last shot was in like Jun) and LH surged last month but I didn’t have my first period till this month and now my LH levels are even lower. I’m taking prenatal vitamins I stopped smoking and everything has anyone had luck getting pregnant sooner than later after being on the depo I know it can take up to 9 months rj start ovulating again but my levels peaked last moth but aren’t this month I don’t want to stress myself to the point I make it not happen. But anyone else had these issues? I’ve been watching my CM for over a month now and CP abd it’s been high and soft for weeks. It never came down for the crimson wave like all these things I’ve read said it would. My last child I got of BC and had two periods and was pregnant. All I did with that one was track my period and we just had sex everyday. We are a few years older now so that’s slowed a little since lately my drive is non existent. I don’t get it. Anyone got any good advice or can relate. I’m starting to feel a little defeated I’ve never had to try this hard. It’s my third. Any recommendations or just relatable story’s would be greatly appreciated.

Ah I didn't actually realise people could ovulate as late as CD 17, do you have long cycles? Maybe we aren't dtd frequently for long enough each month tbh. I've never tried OPKs and always been quite chill about TTC, however our circs have suddenly changed and now I really need to be pregnant ASAP and no later than July or we will need to put it on hold for a looong time. As I have had an amazing career opportunity offered to me but because of the training and study programme I need to be pregnant within the next few months to realistically fit a baby in before I would need to begin my full time study. And if I don't, I will need to put it on hold until well after I've finished all the years of training, which would mean a big age gap between DD and no.2 like 8-9yrs+ which is not what we want really but equally I've been applying for this career programme since late 2018 and finally got accepted and it's so competitive I really can't turn it down as may never get the opportunity again and it would really change our financial trajectory for the future massively. So I'm thinking maybe I need to start trying to track ovulation now because I feel like I am now in a rush to concieve. What are the easiest test kits for dummies?!

Hi @glow92 my tests where low at cd12, by cd16 they ramped right up, I got my peak at 17dpo. Xx

Meant to say I'm at CD12... today is the 14th and I get scrambled far too easily!

Hi guys, been lurking here but thought I'd shout up. 2nd cycle TTC#1, I don't think I ovulate on the 1st last month - currently CD14 and predicted to ovulate on Sunday so I'm hoping to ramp up activities! My partner is always up for it but very chill at the same time... sometimes difficult to distract him from PlayStation 🙄.
OPK's read very low at the moment though.

@MeadowHay it's defo good to have a light hearted thread!! See I'm the every night girl, think I was born horny (I'm a red head) lol OH was a 2/3 times a week guy when we met, safe to say I soon changed that lol. I always think some kinky pics and txts through the day spices it up for the evening if your not that great at bring adventurous xx

I'm also due my period around the 25th according to Fertility friend btw @TTCBaby1 so we are roughly in the same place cycle wise. My cycles vary in length from 23-29 days though so who knows exactly.

Hi ladies I am intruiged by this different take on a conception thread we are in cycle 3 of TTC no.2. I'm like PP who said they have a low sex drive and once a week is enough me, I struggle with fatigue too partly because I sleep badly. DH would probs be an 'almost every day' type fella if he could get it poor love . Deffo want to find ways that it doesn't feel like such a chore or a pressure. I'm not v adventurous though must admit DH had the covid jab last week and we did the same @marcella64 .

@Emmav2020 I had 3 before DD who is 9years and 2 before DS 6years. They went to investigate after number 3 but I found out I was pregnant. My first was a missed mc at 12 weeks. I'm already prepping myself for a mc if I do fall pregnant.

I'm 3dpo, not symptom spotting this month just playing it cool lol.
Oh had the Covid vaccine yesterday... he has a dead arm so looks like I'm on top tonight 💪

I’m in my two week wait now, due on period 25th Jan - I don’t think we’ve tried as much as we should have but have been taken my time getting back to reality following the miscarriage in Nov, going to try the no pressure approach and enjoy the ‘trying’ as much as possible 🤞

Omg you guys are way more daring than me! I think we only ever do it in our bed perhaps we'll be wild and do it in the spare room! We do have an almost 3 year old tho, so thats our excuse.

@Emmav2020 😂😂 Best way to be!! I've started vitamin b this month and seven seas. I had 5 miscarriages years ago, looking back I think I had trouble getting them to stick because of my vitamin levels. Got to be worth a go, I'm hoping to be pregnant by Xmas, that would be amazing. How about you, any vitamins or tracking? X

😂 my first was conceived in a travel lodge because me and oh where both still living with parents! Oh the romance! OH always wants for the sex that makes our baby to be meaningful... I think the dirt, bend me over ones are probably better for baby making!

We’ve done it in some strange places when drunk - toilets in a bar, out the back of the main strip on holiday whilst walking home, absolutely no shame!!!

Can u imagine if you conceived in the van and your child asks where they were conceived? Hahaha

I’m on cycle day 16 now so may have had our wack of trying this month, might try and see if we can get one more try for good measure 😆

Also finding it hard keeping it interesting! Usually I have quite a low sex drive so I'm happy with once a week, DH is definitely suspicious now I'm wanting it every 2 days or so.

It doesn't help that our bed has suddenly become really squeaky!! Its like a comedy.

I think we might try some massaging on Thursday, or maybe a bath together with candles etc.

@Emmav2020 Haha I loved the van comment 😆 Would absolutely love a few nights away if it weren’t for lockdown! I’m trying to walk 3 mile everyday to get out and about. We didn’t have any sex at ALL until after my first period, I’m glad as I think I needed that bit time xx
