Just wondered if anyone else with long cycles has tried these? My cycles can range anywhere from 33-45 days and I've read a lot of positive things about these helping shorten cycles. I've just ordered some to try next cycle if AF ever shows up 🙄

@Louisa199 ah thank you! Yes on CD18 now and still just almost positive but not quite...

I’ve added a screenshot of my Premom app - could any of these be positive?!

So weird, all of mine in the last cycle were so faint til the day I got the positive - these are so much darker. Still early though as I got my first positive last time on CD20, was just hoping the soy would bring it forward but perhaps not!

@heybabes tracking LH levels can be really tricky, as for all I know, it can be varied from cycle to cycle. Just keep testing and look for the sharp increase. Have no experience with the soy thing, sorry cannot give any advice.

@mrslauram congratulations!! So lovely to hear your story!

MrsLauraM · 23/01/2021 20:19

@Riverskye I think for you it’s definitely worth considering upping the dosage. Fingers crossed that helps ☺️
@Littlepoppet1 thank you 😘

Littlepoppet1 · 23/01/2021 19:14

Thanks for sharing @MrsLauraM that's really encouraging GK hear! Congratulations on your pregnancy!

@MrsLauraM

Thanks so much for sharing your experience, it's really encouraging ☺️ I had my implant out in the summer and my cycles have been from 34-60 days. This cycle I took 80, 80, 80, 160, 160 on days 2-7, currently on CD42 so doubt it's taken this month but I'll be increasing the amount next time!

MrsLauraM · 23/01/2021 17:48

Came across this and thought I’d share my experience with Soy.
So I had my implant removed on 9th Jan 2020 so we could start trying. I didn’t have a withdrawal bleed and didn’t have my first period until 23rd April. After that, my cycles were around 45/46 days apart. After reading about soy I thought J had nothing to lose and started taking them when my period started in September 2020. I took 120, 160, 160, 200, 200 from days 2-6. I was also taking evening primrose oil to help with CM. I had unmistakable ovulation pains on CD15 and that month my cycle was only 27 days! Obviously I wasn’t pregnant but I was so happy that my cycle seemed to have gone back to ‘normal’.
I decided to take them again the following month at 160, 160, 160, 200, 200 on days 3-7. Again I felt ovulation pain around CD15/16. About 10DPO I noticed that my usual monthly breast soreness was a bit worse than usual and after taking an FRER test, I finally got my BFP! I’m now 11 weeks pregnant ☺️☺️☺️
I can’t obviously say for certain that the soy caused me to fall pregnant but I do believe it helped to regulate my cycles in a way that then allowed me to fall pregnant.
I hope you get your BFP soon! ❤️

Littlepoppet1 · 23/01/2021 11:29

Hope you get a positive soon @heybabes I have had similar on previous cycles, it's frustrating isn't it. Do you have any other OV signs?

Did anyone feel a bit weird after taking Soy? I felt okay when taking it but I've been getting twinges in my overy sort of area, like sharp pains every now and then and also a lot more CM than I usually notice at this time of month. It's not EWCM just noticeably wetter than usual! Sorry for TMI!! Gonna start OPKs on Monday which will be CD10.

I have seen other women on these threads get a fair few days of 'high before their peak, so its probably on its way. But my (pre-soy) body does a very short sharp LH spike (that I often miss) followed by either a failed or weak ovulation.

heybabes · 23/01/2021 09:15

Still no positive OPK yet for me. I’m on CD16 and last time my peak came on CD20, so still time!

What’s weird though is that I’ve had almost positives since CD12. Last time my lines were really faint up until the day before I got my first positive and they got a bit darker.

This time they’re all quite dark just not yet positive... according to Premom I’m at a level which is pre-surge but the surge just isn’t happening!

Has anyone else had this before or is it a soy thing? I’m so scared I won’t ovulate this month!

Kay00 · 23/01/2021 08:54

@littlepoppet1 I hope you get a nice early strong ovulation 😌

@moominmiss why do you think CD2-6 worked better for you than CD3-7??

Kay00 · 23/01/2021 08:38

@cheesebubble oh how exciting! Thanks for letting us know 😄

@toastedsesame good look 🤞🤞🤞 im rooting for you!!

cheesebubble · 22/01/2021 23:06

I just came across this, one of my best friends didn't fall pregnant for 18 months, she took soy for 3 months and fell pregnant with twins, both beautiful - boy & girl!

@Toastedsesame good luck, it's my boy's birthday on Sunday too x

Littlepoppet1 · 22/01/2021 22:50

Thanks @Toastedsesame Let us know how you get on testing on Monday! Hope your son has a brilliant birthday 🎂

Toastedsesame · 22/01/2021 22:46

@Littlepoppet1 I'm quite bloated and my boobs are really sore. That isn't unusual for me really, but I just feel different in some way. Going to wait til Monday to test as its my sons 3rd birthday on Sunday so I don't want to be distracted in any way!

Fingers crossed you get a shorter cycle this time round!

Littlepoppet1 · 22/01/2021 22:40

That's great news @Kay00 I took it days 2-6 and am on CD7 today! Gonna start doing OPK's from Monday I think and see what happens! My last 2 cycles have been 40+ days, the cycles I do ovulate it's usually around about CD18 but I have anovulorory cycles much to frequently for my liking!

Fingers crossed @Toastedsesame How are you feeling? I remember the cycle I caught with DD the only symptom I had was a awful cold! I felt so bad I actually forgot AF was due and then had a blazing positive when I remembered!

Moominmiss · 22/01/2021 22:35

@heybabes so no this hadn’t been my first time using soy, I tried them maybe twice last year sometime, both times taking them on cd3-7. Both times it brought ovulation forward but no bfp.

This was the only cycle I did them on cd2-6, after speaking to a friend of mine who had also taken them on cd2-6 and got her bfp. So did the different days and bam, bfp! Could be coincidence but I think they played a part!

Good luck!

Toastedsesame · 22/01/2021 22:22

I'm cd25, I ovulated on cd18 (temp confirmed, opk confirmed) so I'm 7dpo. Holding out testing at the moment but dare I say it, I do feel different.

Kay00 · 22/01/2021 22:21

Where are you all at with your cycles?

Toastedsesame · 22/01/2021 22:19

Good luck @Kay00 ! I've heard 3-7 is the best all rounder to go for. Let us know how you get on!

Kay00 · 22/01/2021 22:13

Hey ladies. My anovularory cycle is over 🥳🥳 CD1 here. I just need to decide on which days to take Soy. Im thinking CD 3-7... exciting!

heybabes · 20/01/2021 14:58

@Moominmiss ah amazing! Congratulations - was that your first time with soy?

Hopefully that will be me too... still no peak OPKs today but even if it’s a day earlier I’ll be happier to be honest!

Moominmiss · 20/01/2021 14:31

Thank you @Toastedsesame I do recognise your username so I’m sure we’ve crossed paths before! X

Toastedsesame · 20/01/2021 14:28

@heybabes Yay, thats a really good sign! Our cycles are similar, mine is usually 33 days, sometimes 38 randomly. This cycle must be shorter whatever the outcome because I successfully ovulated cd18. We'll see what happens. I feel positive tho!

I'll keep updating here, would be cool to see how we all do!

@Moominmiss Congrats!!! I'm sure we talked on another thread!?

Moominmiss · 20/01/2021 13:47

@heybabes that’s amazing!

I know how exciting it is to finally ovulate early!

I used to ovulate around cd22, but after taking soy this cycle on days 2-6 I ovulated on cd14! I use opk’s and temp so I had confirmation of ovulation.

Then to top things off I actually got my bfp at 8dpo!
