Just wondered if anyone else with long cycles has tried these? My cycles can range anywhere from 33-45 days and I've read a lot of positive things about these helping shorten cycles. I've just ordered some to try next cycle if AF ever shows up 🙄

@littlepoppet1 damn! So sorry AF arrived 😔 but its good you are pleased with your shorter cycle. Ard you going to do SI again? If so what days?

@heybabes im do glad you ovulated! Even if it was layer than expected. I have my fingers crossed this is your cycle! 🤞

Your cycle is also giving me hope... that I might ovulate yet. Im CD22 and no ovulation yet. I thought my body was trying around about a week ago, but everything has dried up... no im thinking the SI hasn't done what I hoped it would. Ah well!

@Littlepoppet1 I'm sorry you didn't get your BFP this month but congrats on the 26 day cycle! I can't imagine having one that short so even though not the result you wanted, at least you don't have to wait so long to try again. Are you going to try SI again this cycle?

@Kay00 I did a FRER but it was negative too! I think my body was trying to ovulate and failing, it makes sense.

So I decided to stop doing OPKs as it was just stressing me out and I assumed that unfortunately I was having an anovulatory cycle. However I decided to keep doing temps as I'm more chilled about those, and it was like as soon as I relaxed my temp started to rise! I got a clear rise from CD32, rising each day and above all the temps before and more in the range of my temps last cycle! Yay!

So fingers crossed I did ovulate and I'm now 4DPO. I've started to get cramps and my boobs hurt a bit which makes sense as I wasn't getting any of those symptoms before! This also means this would end up being a 46 day cycle unfortunately which is a bit longer than I usually have (30-40) but could be worse. If I do SI again I'll probably do it earlier and not CD5-9 as that can delay ovulation as it has in my case...

Littlepoppet1 · 11/02/2021 06:00

@Kay00 AF has shown up this morning so onto a new cycle today. It's been 26 days which is the shortest cycle I've ever had so even though I'm disappointed not to be pregnant I'm over the moon to finally have a more normal length cycle! Will def keep taking it going forward.

Have you had any signs of OV yet? I wasn't convinced I had either as my OPK never went really strong positive but I obviously did when I thought I did now AF here.

Hi ladies, how are you getting on? Did AF show @Littlepoppet1 ?

@heybabes is your ovulation any clearer?

I'm CD19 and no ovulation yet Sad I just have this feeling its not going to happen for me (again), even with the Soy Iso.

Forgot to say I tested yesterday and was negative.

Littlepoppet1 · 07/02/2021 06:28

I've woken up with spotting today which I think is me out for this month. I always spot for about 3 days before AF starts. I'm CD23 today and either 10 or 11 DPO. Will see what happens over the next few days. Disappointing if I'm not pregnant but tbh ill be over the moon to have a normal length cycle so trying to see the positives either way.

@heybabes I think you have a clear temperature shift from CD16 onwards but it's odd that you had a +opk on CD20 if you did indeed Ov on CD16. Its possible you haven't ovulated yet and that your body is making several attempts (CD16, CD20 ... and again now if you are still getting strong OPKs)?

Alternatively you could be getting near +opks because you're pregnant. You tested with a cheapy... worth trying a FRER?

Riverskye · 05/02/2021 18:02

@Littlepoppet1 I think I'm going to take 160, 160, 160, 200, 200 on my next cycle. I was a little worried how I'd react to it so took a half dose for the first 3 days this cycle.

heybabes · 05/02/2021 09:58

I still don’t know if I ovulated or not and feeling guilty that I messed with my body and tried out SI if that makes sense? I’m only on cycle 2 of trying and feel like I should have just waited before as I’m worried I’ve now messed my hormones up.

I had crosshairs for CD21 initially as that was my darkest OPK, but my temps haven’t been that high since and today FF removed the crosshairs.

If I take the OPK results out, I have a clear temperature shift on CD16 which would now make me 13DPO.

Thing is I’m still getting near positive OPKs 😫 and have no post-O symptoms except light cramping - usually I have really tender boobs.

I took a HPT test this morning and it was negative so kind of hoping I ovulated earlier rather than not at all, and I can just start again tbh!

@Riverskye I know that feeling, it's so frustrating when you don't ovulate!! Hopefully you either get a surprise ovulation or AF starts soon... so you can try again x

@Littlepoppet1 how exciting!! Please keep us updated! And good luck with the potty training Grin

I'm on CD15, not a lot happening here. I think that my CM has perhaps become a little more watery, but my OPKs yesterday registered as zero and my temps are pretty steady. I really hope these Soy Iso help me ovulate soon!

Littlepoppet1 · 05/02/2021 06:20

@Kay00 I'm either CD8 or 9 today and desperately trying not to symptom spot! I'm leaving it until at least Monday to test which will be either CD11 or 12. I am attempting to potty train my DD this weekend so that should keep me distracted 😂

@riverskye hopefully AF is just round the corner for you then you can get going again! What dosage are you going to try this time?

OP posts:
Riverskye · 05/02/2021 02:33

@Kay00 currently on CD54 and no positive opks. Did have some spotting a couple of days ago so I think AF must be around the corner. If AF does come I'm going to take a bigger dose on days 2-6 again and fingers crossed it works second time!

Kay00 · 05/02/2021 00:05

How is everyone getting on?

Kay00 · 02/02/2021 15:39

@Littlepoppet1 I have a history of missing my peak OPKs Smile. I'm 9 months off the pill, but only on my 7th cycle, only confirmed ovulation 5 times through temp rises and only caught 2 x peak OPKs.

The list time I ovulated was 1st Dec, so its hard to remember whats its like to actually ovulate haha! Grin I really hope Soy helps!

Littlepoppet1 · 02/02/2021 15:06

Sorry to hear that @Toastedsesame, hope you're okay.

I had strong OPKs days 12 and 13 @Kay00 accompanied by lots of watery CM but not egg white and OV pains. I never quite had a positive though unless i missed it so I'm not 100% sure.

OP posts:
Kay00 · 02/02/2021 14:36

@toastedsesame i'm so sorry to hear that Sad. But it sounds like you have taken some positives; Soy did indeed help you ovulate sooner, and you are able to get pregnant. I hope you get your sticky bean in your next cycle xx

I'm CD12 and have started peeing on OPKs. Nothing much of interest yet.

What cycle days did you ovulate after taking Soy?

Toastedsesame · 01/02/2021 21:21

Thanks for that @Moominmiss. I think I'm going to take it tonight. If I don't take it and my ovulation is really late again I'll kick myself.

Moominmiss · 01/02/2021 19:59

@Toastedsesame I was so sorry to read about your loss on your other thread.

So after I miscarried in November I was in a bit of a mess and totally forgot about soy. By the time I remembered it was cd5 and I didn’t want to take it days 5-9 as I’d read it can actually delay ovulation slightly. So I didn’t end up taking it until the next cycle. And that’s when I took it cd2-6.

The amounts I did were 160, 160, 160, 200, 200.

But had I remembered I totally would have taken it on the cycle immediately after.

Toastedsesame · 01/02/2021 19:47

Hi guys, looks like everyone is doing ok. @heybabes looks like a good chart, I'm no expert but I would agree with FF about your ovulation around cd17-20 ?

Sadly I've just had a chemical pregnancy after my first cycle of soy did work and I did ovulate in good time and get pregnant :( so I'm back to square one.

@Moominmiss do you mind if I ask, did you take soy on the cycle after your chemical? I'm torn whether to or not. I'm cd2 today so if I'm going to, I should start today.

Littlepoppet1 · 01/02/2021 16:02

Hopefully you won't have too much longer to wait to find out @heybabes and you get your BFP or AF. Obviously id love a BFP but I'll also be over the moon just to have a 'normal' length cycle! Will give me hope if the soy has worked to shorten them but I'm like you and also deep down worried I haven't ovulated.

OP posts:
Riverskye · 01/02/2021 15:52

@heybabes I've always had long and unpredictable cycles so don't think the soy had much effect x

heybabes · 01/02/2021 14:23

@Littlepoppet1 sounds like you were having similar issues to me! Hope you ovulated though and it was just missing the peak 😊

@sundowners amazing congratulations! Hope this happens to all of us!

@Riverskye are your cycles usually that long or is it just the impact of soy?

I still have no clue when/if I’ve ovulated due to my weird OPKs! I did read somewhere that you should disregard OPKs when taking soy as it messes them up.

Here’s my graph for reference. I posted it on a different site and some people think I ovulated on CD16 and some on CD21. My naturally worrying side of me is panicking that I actually haven’t ovulated at all!

🤦‍♀️

@sundowners thank you xx and congratulations!!

@littlepoppet1 Yey! 🥳🥳 you just need to sit and wait now 🤞🤞🤞

Im CD9 now. I took Soy CD3-7, 100, 150, 150, 200, 200. I had night sweats and tingling nips so I felt like it was doing something. Im just really hoping I ovulate within a normal time frame 🤞

Littlepoppet1 · 30/01/2021 08:45

Definitely worth trying increasing the dosage @Riverskye to see if that helps. I did 2-6, 100, 100, 150, 150, 200 this time.
I am now pretty sure I have ovulated, I think on Thursday so CD13. OPKs gone back to really faint, my CM has changed completely and no where near as much and the gassy bloated feeling I had has completely gone now and I usually feel that way around ov time. Just a case of wait and see now!

sundowners · 29/01/2021 10:46

I used Soy Isoflavones, agnus cactus and acupuncture to all help regulate my cycles last year which were completely all over the place. Together it worked and I'm 21 weeks pg. Good luck all!
