Just wondered if anyone else with long cycles has tried these? My cycles can range anywhere from 33-45 days and I've read a lot of positive things about these helping shorten cycles. I've just ordered some to try next cycle if AF ever shows up 🙄

@heybabes congratulations!!! That's fantastic news ☺️ here's hoping its plain sailing for you from here.

I'm currently CD31 and no ovulation yet, don't think its going to happen so I'm planning on calling the doctors to see if maybe they can give me something to make me more regular.

Hi guys, I caved this morning at 13DPO and tested as I really just felt so out or sorts the past few days, I knew something was happening!

It’s a BFP! I’m cautious as my temperature dropped today and I also have quite bad cramps, but just wanted to let you guys know. I’m not sure if it was the soy that did it - I also used fertility lubricant and drank loads of water as I’ve never had any fertile CM before and think this could have helped. But who knows!!

Hope everyone is doing ok!

Heybabes well done for waiting, and good luck for testing over the weekend!

heybabes · 25/03/2021 11:44

@riverskye You should definitely call this week! Also let them know you've been trying since July so they know and will be more likely to give you more help.

I'm 10 DPO today and still haven't tested which is a record for me! I got super excited yesterday evening because I haven't had many PMS symptoms just yet but all afternoon until I went to bed, I had quite intense bubbly, tugging feelings in my uterus area. I got pregnant from one accident when I was at uni (didn't have it) and the only reason I tested was because I had weird pains in my tummy but no period. I also had really achey legs last time, which I had yesterday too. So last night I was like "this is it again!", but I'm not getting my hopes up as they've stopped today and don't want to set myself up for disappointment... :D

My period is due on Sunday/Monday so going to wait until then if it doesn't come. My temperature usually drops 11 DPO so will see what happens then too, if it stays up or not.

@Riverskye it might be worth going, not even for fertility treatments, but there might be an easy fix. My friend was very irregular, with cycles longer than yours, and was given metformin just to stimulate the hormones and regulate the periods

Riverskye · 24/03/2021 17:10

@heybabes I haven’t called the doctor yet about it, I keep umming and ahhing on whether to call or not. I was thinking about waiting until next cycle but that could be 45 days away. I’ve only had 4 periods since I came off BC in July so I might call this week/next week just to see how long I have to wait for fertility treatment if needed.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 24/03/2021 16:56

Well @Riverskye my fingers are massively crossed for this month for you. It must be exhausting to have to have so much sex constantly throughout as well. I'm always very happy to have my period week off 😁

heybabes · 24/03/2021 16:40

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 That's good news! In the past I have had a temp shift the day after the positive OPK, but it can be two days for some.

@Riverskye Fingers crossed it comes soon for you. I'm confident you won't have to wait as long as last time! Sorry if you've already answered this but have you discussed cycles with your GP?

I had a call with mine this month to see if I could have some help as I've been trying since December but have only had two periods. She said I'd have to have tried for 2 years first before going "down the fertility route". However, she did say she would do some tests for me under the guise of the irregularity, as I did have a 70 day cycle last year.

I had my CD21 (7DPO) tests done this month and all came back normal (progesterone was 51). I'm booked into have some more once my period starts too. If they come back abnormal then she said she'd be happy to prescribe me something " just to regulate" :)

Riverskye · 24/03/2021 16:26

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 yeah I had a 70+ day cycle and then before that was 60 ish. I'm not convinced I even ovulate as my opks were always negative. I'm just temping this cycle so I'll be thrilled if I ovulate at all, even if it's super late Grin

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 24/03/2021 16:11

@riverskye, I've just read back through the pages sorry, and seen your last cycle was 71 days. Must be so frustrating to take the soy, and get a suggestion on the app for 42 days. Even though its a lot better, its still a long time to wait xx

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 24/03/2021 16:03

@Riverskye, how come day 42?

Riverskye · 24/03/2021 15:36

Its encouraging to hear some people are having luck with ovulating! Currently on CD28 and no clear sign of ovulation on my chart yet though according to my app it thinks I'll ovulate on CD42 so it'll be interesting to see if I do Smile

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 24/03/2021 15:16

My Flo app has just moved ovulation forward four days to tomorrow. I'm temping, so far my temp has been the same pretty much every morning with no fluctuation, so I'll update you on if anything shows on that over the next few days (1st time temping so I'm not sure when to expect a shift really)

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 24/03/2021 15:15

Hey just thought I'd update, I have just had a positive opk on cycle day 12 or 13 (of a 30 day cycle). Last month I didn't get a positive opk (just flashing smileys), and the month before it was at CD 21. So thanks ladies, looks like it is good so far!

heybabes · 23/03/2021 09:40

@Sperr that sounds really positive! I had my CD21 bloods done yesterday, not sure when I'll get the results - haven't had it before but having some tests done for my irregular cycles. Do have them regularly?

8DPO today. I must say I have a real lack of symptoms at this stage. I do have slightly tender boobs but no cramps or anything yet which is strange as the last two cycles I've had cramps from 4DPO. Had a pang of nausea this morning. Not reading anything into it though! ;)

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 23/03/2021 09:39

@sperr that’s great! Hopefully it’ll be a positive. Good to compare here, because there aren’t really studies of this that I could find !

Sperr · 23/03/2021 09:10

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 if I did ovulate when I think I did I definitely had cramping which h never have! I would definitely say I have a lot more twinging and cramping now as well!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 23/03/2021 08:59

Hi Sperr. That’s brilliant! Smile

Have been googling because my nipples and boobs are tingling at the front still and are firm and I’m getting some minor headaches- both a sign of strong estrogen apparently. So the soy has done something, because I don’t get this usually. I’m on CD11 so haven’t taken the soy in a while

Sperr · 23/03/2021 07:42

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 hey! Thanks for thinking of me. I have ovulated- I just wanted to be 100% sure. I’m 6dpo I think. I have the 21 day blood test on Thursday so I’ll know for sure then! How’re you getting on?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 22/03/2021 09:02

@heybabes I know, I'm not exactly blessed in that department, so its a positive 😁 sure it'll wear off in a day or two though!

Ohh that's interesting re last months test. Yes hold out if you can! If it helps I just imagine I am peeing on money if I get tempted to test too early

heybabes · 22/03/2021 08:40

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 wow that's the first good side effect I've heard of!

My temps have stayed up so think I'm confident in saying I'm now 7DPO! I'm going to try and not test this cycle but will see how long I last.

Also just wanted to say for the sake of this thread, a few days ago I was clearing out rubbish in my room and found the pregnancy test I took at 12DPO last cycle. I disregarded it quite quickly when I took it because I was just like "Bloody great, not pregnant" and chucked it into a basket so I didn't have to look at it. But when I dug it out it had two lines on it. I know it could be an evap or an indent as it's almost a month old... but there are definitely two clear lines. I had a period 2 days after anyway, but just wanted to say that it was my first cycle of soy and could have potentially resulted in a (very short-lived!) pregnancy.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 21/03/2021 13:51

@Sperr has anything happened yet?

I finished the soy, and feeling back to normal. Weird side effect, my boobs seem noticeably bigger and firmer. Having googled it, it does seem to be a thing, so even if they don't work, they won't go to waste 😁

Sperr · 19/03/2021 14:08

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I took them 3-7! My last ovulation was CD22 so it’s only 3 days late at the moment.

@heybabes thanks for replying! I guess I just need to be patient for another week before I start really panicking!

heybabes · 19/03/2021 14:00

@Sperr Welcome! What days did you take the soy?

I took mine last cycle CD5-9 and my ovulation was 11 days later than my previous cycle. I took them CD2-6 this month and my O day was one day later than the non-soy cycle. So no bringing forward for me at all! But mine are so irregular so it's hard to tell what they would have been without soy.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 19/03/2021 13:58

@Sperr what days did you take it?
