TTC after miscarriage

Hi, first time posting here so apologies if it's in the wrong spot. I had a missed miscarriage 4th June, and had the MVA procedure the same day. It took 6weeks for AF to show, and since then I've been tracking my cycles. My second one was 50 days long and I got a positive Ovulation test on the CD10 and and now I'm on CD7 of my 3rd cycle and I got a positive Ovulation test yesterday! I'm really worried about having such long cycles with very very early Ovulation. My AF Is also extremely light, only 2 days long both times. I have been on the pill my whole adult life prior to coming off it and getting pregnant straight away so have no idea what my actual cycle looks like. Anyone else experienced this. Really concerned and not sure whether it's the miscarriage or my age.

That must have been so awful for you at that stage, I’m so sorry :( keep positive, you never know.. you could have ovulated and just not know it. When are you due af? .... and thank you.. I’m a nervous wreck at the moment though, can’t stop worrying xxx

Congrats Lara! That’s amazing news on your BFP and your rainbow on it’s way! Glad all the testing paid off!

I did DTD around the tiny bit of EWCM but that was 14 days ago now and I’ve had a negative test this morning so I just think my body tried and failed. The doctor did say it takes much longer because I was so much further into the pregnancy and I need to be patient 😩 but it’s so hard! I always have a nearly 2 year old but when I was expecting a sibling for him and it just gets pulled beneath you it’s just devastating! I just need to be DTD when I see the fertile stuff and go from there. My very first ovulation after MC was 3 days of EWCM and got my usual O pains it was so obvious but that cycle ended with a short luteal phase and my period coming 5 days later 🥺 so even if anything did fertilise it’s not enough time to implant. My gut is saying I’ve not ovulated yet and it’s taking it’s time! Xxx

Sorry for your loss.. it’s horrible isn’t it. Well 4 weeks exactly after my miscarriage I had my first positive pregnancy test, looks like at least one of my million positive ovulation strips was right! So no period in between and I must have ovulated around the 11th? Have you managed to bd this month incase you have ovulated without knowing? I didn’t get any signs of ovulation either but must have happened somewhere!! Good luck :)

Hi Ladies, I’ve never been part of something like this before but I’ve managed to find a thread which looks great and some recent posts too.

I had. MMC at 16 weeks on the 1st Feb. My period came 8 weeks later and now I’m on day 30 of my next cycle and no sign of ovulation. I haven’t been doing opks but I know from my EWCM and I get pain on the particular side I ovulate from. I got a tiny bit of the fertile stuff on my usual O day, day 16 but I think my body tried and failed. TTC after a loss is so tough! so many people I know seem to of got caught quickly afterwards and I’m like how! I can’t even ovulate. It’s so hard when grieving too!

I got peak OPK at 12 days after D&C ... I put it down to HCG still in my system as it was only 12 days after procedure ,and I heard it could take up to 3 weeks to ovulate the longer the pregnancy. I haven’t gotten a peak OPK since... I know I won’t know for sure , but is it possible to ovulate so soon after D&C? I was 14 weeks pregnant at the time

So now for the last three days I’ve had these blazing positive opks.. so that’s over a week of the lines being the same colour and now day three of the line being darker than the control. Miscarriage was 18 days ago and my apps predict I would ovulate around Tuesday so another few days away. I’ve had cramps for a few days but I’m so confused. I never get a long surge it’s over and done with in one night??!!

So after all my positive opks this last week which both lines were the same colour, 16 days after my miscarriage I’ve had this positive which is way darker than the control line.. do u think maybe this is the one??

Well congratulations!! I hope I can be in the same position soon. I’m still getting positive opks and now have a really heavy dull achey feeling down there which could be ovulation, could be period.. I genuinely have no idea??!!

@LaraWilliams Actually no I didn't as I struggle with ovulation tests and forget/can't understand what it says/never saw a line.

Instead we just had sex every day after the miscarriage bleeding stopped. We got a bit bored and moved to every other day and when I got some goo/discharge in my knickers went back to every day for a bit and it seemed to work!

We did the same thing the last time I got pregnant as my ovulation day must be later than I would expect it to be (?).

Either way, not the most scientific from a tracking perspective but seems to be the most effective for us!

I'm pregnant again after a miscarriage in February. I waited until HCG was practically negligible before trying again and I think (?) I conceived around 20/03 but I'm not sure as I haven't had a period between miscarriage and getting pregnant again.

Naturally I'm living in terror every time I wee. Checking for blood, feeling anxious it will happen again. I can't shake myself out of it. Last time I was around 6 weeks ish before MC occurred.

Definitely negative pregnancy test (even if I did try and make myself see something!) so I’m really baffled with the opks

@Emmav2020 hi! No way?! First of all congratulations!!! Secondly sorry about the sickness.. my friend is the same at the mo.. in and out of hospital on drips :( but lastly.. did you keep getting the positive opks? Any other symptoms? Thanks so much for replying xxx

@LaraWilliams heyy i was in your position in jan and im currently 12 weeks pregnant now suffereing terrible sickness day and night, and already been in hospital on a drip. At my dating scan they think i got pregnant a week after my misscarriage so you possibly could be oregnnant again. Xx

Thank you lovely. I havent taken a for a few days no but I did take pregnancy tests last week just to check there was no hcg left over causing the positive opks.. they were negative last week so I’m guessing they still would be. It’s only been 15 days since miscarriage, I don’t think one would show positive anyway?? Xx

@LaraWilliams so sorry to hear of your loss.

Have you tried taking a pregnancy test? The only time I had blazing positive opks (when I wasn't supposed to be ovulating) I was infact pregnant.

Hi ladies, I really hope you don’t mind me joining? I’ve been scrolling through threads to try and find answers. I had a miscarriage 15 days ago at 5 weeks 5 days. Scan confirmed, bled heavy for 3 days, hcg levels were down to below 2 at hospital so no trace left and all pregnancy tests were negative. Was keen to ttc straight away so began taking opks a couple of days later knowing my hcg levels were practically non existent. I have irregular cycles but on average around 35 days. I am currently cd 15 but have been having positive opks for the last 8 days straight.. I’m so confused. My apps guess I should ovulate on Monday or Tuesday next week. I don’t have any hcg in my system but why the constant positive opks? I use the cheapies. Desperate to know when it’s a true positive and try again. My partner lives an hour away at the moment so ttc is hard, anyone know why I would be getting so many positive opks?? Xx
