First month TTC

Hi girls,
Hope you're all well.
I had my COVID jab yesterday so I'm going to pause trying for 3 months until I get my second jab.

Will stick around though to hopefully see some more BFPs!

Hello, everyone I'm new here. I've just turned 35, ttc my first baby. Stopped taking my pill 10 months ago, but my partner wasn't ready to officially try until this cycle. Regardless I've been tracking, attempting to seduce him at the right time (unfortunately he has a low sex drive) and it's been 6 cycles where the timing worked, so this is the 7th cycle

We've dtd day 8,11,12,13 and will 14,15 and poss 16 if he has the energy. My cycles are 26-30 days, but generally always the egg white discharge is day 13-14, so ovulation should be day 14-16.

I just know, that now our dtd has increased from 2ce in the fertile window to every day it's going to be even more disappointing if we don't conceive...

I've been googling several days a week for months, but now we're officially trying it's all I can think about. I'm laying awake till 1am googling..

@FieldView No way! My 41 year old friend had a baby last year and also has a 4 year old, she had no problem at all. I think we hear a lot of conversation driven around ‘older’ women struggling to conceive, but there’s also a lot who do quite easily! Hopefully it will be for you!

@FieldView and @Eaststreet sending you lots of positive vibes ladies! A glass or two of wine will definitely help. New cycle, new start, new opportunity to get that BFP!

Ahhh @Eaststreet I'm right there with you! I really cross yesterday and drowned my sorrows in chips and biscuits 😂

It didn't help that in a quick chat my DH was having with the GP about the vaccine, the GP said the odds are really against us due to our age, and we should be prepared for it to take 18-24 months. I know he's the expert but I think he's wrong!

@Eaststreet I've read that some women don't get a BFP until after a week or two of missed AF. When is your AF due?

The Femometer app that predicted ovulation for me on the 15th was wrong. It actually happened yesterday so I'm 1 DPO today and so the TWW begins! We're having work done to the house so only DTD once in the window. So don't have high hopes for this month, we'll see what happens :)

@FieldView AF turned up last night , nearly cried and had some wine. Feeling a bit better now. I’m finding the whole thing so draining this month. Hopefully can get back into a positive mind set.

yess literally every waking second 😂! I’m even dreaming about it.

Is it me or does ttc take up almost every thought? I day dream about it! As it’s my first month I don’t know whether to do ovulation tests or not. Im so excited about it all but also really scared of a 4th section. So nice to be in a group where we can chat about it x

14DPO for me today and AF has arrived right on time.

I’m 13dpo today , no BFP and no AF.
I had the tiniest bit of spotting (pinky colour) yesterday and the day before. Nothing since.
What do people think? I’m thinking I’m out but still hanging onto a tiny bit of hope.

I've had EWCM since Monday evening, been doing OPKs and not had a peak or even a high, and this morning my temp spiked

@greenfrogs1 My GP told me you don't have to wait to TTC after the first jab, it's personal choice. He told me that if I were to fall pregnant between first and second just don't have the second jab. Now I am pregnant I will not be having it but I planned to have it whilst TTC.

He said the initial NHS guidance was not to TTC after having the vaccine but this has now changed.

Please can I join? I’m 39 and a mum to three 12, 10 and 7. I have a new partner and we want a baby together. I’m nervous as all mine were c sections so scared of a fourth section. This is my first cycle trying to conceive. I’m on day 3. I got pregnant the first month trying every time with my three but who knows what will happen now I’m older and a new man. He has a Dd 7 from his previous relationship. So excited for all your BFP’s! X

Girls I'm in a bit of a predicament.

I've been sent an invite to book my COVID vaccine (I double checked with my GP and it's not a scam).

From what I understand I will need to stop TTC between the first and second jab. However does anyone know if you can then start TTC straight away after the second jab?

I may post this in a few other TTC threads too as there must be others in the same boat 🤔

I’m 11dpo today. I was going to test today but obviously now it won’t be the first wee of the day, does anyone know how much this matters?
I don’t want to waste a test if it really should be in the morning. Should I just wait until tomorrow ?

Thank you @FieldView I worked it out wrong so just checked and I was 10 DPO, today I am 12 DPO and took a FRER to check line progression and it is darker so I am happy for now although still worrying like mad, but trying to relax!
I was testing anyway but I was getting BFNs, so I was prepared to be out this month but my boobs just started feeling so sore which I don’t get, and I had AF like cramps and implantation spotting. I’m not even due on my AF until 19th so still early days I’m soo hoping for little bean to stay put! But yeah I did feel different xx
