Hi ladies,

I’m new to this and would really appreciate your help. This is my first month TTC. I’m currently on CD4 so still middle of my period. Just wondering what helped you all conceive in your first month of trying and any tips you have. I have clearblue OPK ready and have been tracking my cycles for a which vary from 27-34 day cycles with 2 random 45 day cycles one of them being my last cycle.

Anyone else TTC this month?

Thanks in advance x

@Eaststreet glad I'm not the only one!! DH knows I'm doing a bit of monitoring but doesn't quite know the extent of it. He has children from a previous partner and is a lot more relaxed about this than I am. In other news, we recently got a switch and I've been looking into getting a ringfit - any good?

@Kittysw welcome! We are cycle sisters too - AF due 18th or 19th depending on which app I look at!

@glassacorn welcome to the group 😊 In terms of exercise, I was doing couch to 5k in the run up to Christmas, ended up with a few weeks off over Christmas and went for my first jog/walk of the year on Sunday. Carrying a little extra lockdown/chub than I would like, and I have a very sedentary lifestyle thanks to WFH, but I'm hoping that it just falls off with the stress of TTC

Morning all!
Hope everyone is doing well, any updates ?
The TWW is reall taking its toll and it’s only been 3 days for me! I’m super aware of every little twinge.
Trying to keep busy at work and me and DP have just started a new series which is taking care of the evenings.
@FieldView I am the same! DP has literally no idea at how much research is going on! He still thinks we’re taking the ‘chilled’ approach to the whole thing, which is impossible once you get going. Glad to be able to share our experiences with each other in the group.

RadDarwazeh · 12/01/2021 08:36

@Kittysw we are cycle sisters! Mines due on 19th.

I totally agree with you other girls, I am grateful we can talk so openly! I don't have any symptoms yet. I'm trying not to hold too much weight on symptoms as they're so similar to normal AF! How annoying!

I ordered some FRER with estimated delivery 17th. Perfect, I thought, I won't be tempted to test early. Now they're coming tomorrow instead haha!

Wrt the exercise, I tend not to exercise much anyway but I like walks and ring fit on the Nintendo. And yoga Smile

shannonl26 · 12/01/2021 07:06

@Kittysw welcome! 😀

That does sound promising, I’ve seen on here from 11DPO is best to start testing, but women do get early BFPs before that.

I’m currently 5DPO & I’ve woken up with what feels like AF cramps, just ever so slightly duller & my thighs still ache like mad.

I think I’m just noticing anything & everything whereas before I’d pay no attention mind you 😂

Kittysw · 12/01/2021 01:19

Hi All,

I hope it's okie that I jump onto this thread :)
I love how positive you all are. I am on 9DPO now and super impatient. This is our second month TTC #1 and this TWW is a killer.

I have had a few things which could be symptoms but I am trying not to get my hopes up. Feeling really nauseous for 3/4 days solid but that has subsided now and only getting it every so often. Also really cold feet (don't know if that is a thing) and a few random twinges and cramps.

I think AF is due around the 19th. trying to hold out and not test to early.

FieldView · 11/01/2021 23:14

Ahh this is such a lovely chat! Very lucky to be sharing the experience with a lovely group of women! I haven't really told anyone we're TTC and DH doesn't know quite how much "research" is going on behind the scenes - this group has really helped it not be such a lonely or scary process!!

I'm also loving that the clocking is ticking and some of this group might be just days away from a BFP! I am super excited for whoever it is! 😍

glassacorn · 11/01/2021 23:10

@RadDarwazeh 💕 That's what made me choose this thread - lots of positive outlooks and practical advice! Just feeling lucky to be TTC in 2021 as I can't imagine 10, 20 years ago not being able to have such candid chats about it - like others I am not telling family as the pressure would be 🤯

I'm using Clue and have been (a bit haphazardly) tracking BBT - going to try OPKs this next month, once it begins! I'll take a look at Ovia - only using Clue as I've had it since it launched! 🤷🏼‍♀️😅

Is anyone increasing/adapting their exercise habits as part of their prep? 🏊🏻‍♀️ 🏋🏼‍♀️🚴🏽‍♀️🧘🏻‍♀️🤾🏼‍♀️

Annabelle0852 · 11/01/2021 22:50

@RadDarwazeh Only human indeed! Won't pretend I don't have my moments... wish it was my belly button poking out or whatnot 😂 but I've been an eagerly awaiting Godmother from 4 weeks! She needs to hurry up and come out now!

I just hope it doesn't take us too long to fall so our babes could be close in age 😍 that'd the dream anyway!

RadDarwazeh · 11/01/2021 22:29

@Annabelle0852 I'm so glad you have a positive outlook on your besties pregnancy. That shows you have a such a kind soul while you're also TTC . No bitterness. Just joy. We're all human I know but your words made me smile haha Smile

RadDarwazeh · 11/01/2021 22:27

Hiya @glassacorn nice to have you here. I can wholeheartedly say this chat has made me feel more sane and it's v friendly and open and honest Smile sorry to hear you're a bit frustrated. I find using my Ovia tracking app helps me kinda monitor things. Hope AF comes soon so you can begin the fun again!

glassacorn · 11/01/2021 22:17

Schrödinger's zygote is how I described my feelings to my partner today! 🙈🥴

Hello ladies! New to the forum - wanted to join as think it’ll stop me feeling quite so cuckoo!

Today’s CD40, did a pregnancy test on CD38 as was expecting AF on CD31 (held out as long as I could but too curious) negative - but still no bloody (literally) AF!

First month trying, four months since stopped HC and have had three normal cycles - usually 29/30 day cycles. Hence why I’m feeling a bit frustrated - no clue what’s going on! 🤷🏼‍♀️

Dixie1488 · 11/01/2021 20:23

@Annabelle0852 For sure!

Aww bless. That’s such a great way of looking at it. It is exciting, I can’t wait to meet my niece or nephew in June! First baby of the family. My hope would be that I fall pregnant soon, so our babies can grow up together 😊

Annabelle0852 · 11/01/2021 20:04

@Dixie1488 Ended up with chicken burgers. Better than chicken and veg but no dominoes!

My BFF is pregnant with a "whoopsie" baby. She's about to pop any minute actually. Overjoyed for her and she's loving it. I struggle a little with the "only DTD once and this accidentally happened" but it just fuels me on to get there too and I can't wait to see her bubba when the time comes.

Dixie1488 · 11/01/2021 19:08

@Annabelle0852 Haha! That’s totally acceptable I would say 😂 I tried with mine too, proposed KFC or McDonald’s but he insisted on Chicken and Veg... I was not impressed!

Ah okay, I think telling people does create just added unnecessary pressure. I already put enough pressure on myself!

My younger sister (age 21) fell pregnant last year without trying. She’s pregnant now so i do struggle a bit looking at her grow but of course I am happy for her 😊 If only it was that easy for me!

Annabelle0852 · 11/01/2021 18:55

@Dixie1488 I've been trying to convince the OH to let me have dominoes for dinner but apparently it's taboo to have take out two nights in a row after Indian last night... spoil sport!!

We're not telling anyone we're trying either as it adds a bit of pressure I think. And we also moved to a new area last year so definitely feeling the online support!

Dixie1488 · 11/01/2021 18:50

@PineappleSun Aw I’m in the same position as you. It’s great that we are all in this together 😊

I don’t really want to tell my family as they will only keep asking me if I’m pregnant or not, I don’t think I could deal with that!

Dixie1488 · 11/01/2021 18:48

@Annabelle0852 me too! Haha. I’m currently sat eating my body weight in oreos, wondering if I could be pregnant or whether this is the same old PMS 🤦‍♀️

PineappleSun · 11/01/2021 18:48

Aw thank you girls. I moved to where I live now just over a year ago and with corona and all I haven't made a single friend outside of work so I'm so grateful to have you all to chat to Smile

Annabelle0852 · 11/01/2021 18:07

@PineappleSun Schrodinger's zygote 😂😂😂 love it!

I know what you mean though. I'm convinced this isn't the month for me, got all the usual PMS symptoms now like insatiable hunger and mood swings (poor OH). But all the while I don't know for sure there's a possibility... one that has me occasionally talking to my empty uterus 🙄🤯

RadDarwazeh · 11/01/2021 18:01

Yes @PineappleSun. However we can always try try again! If AF comes it sucks but it's the start of a new cycle. Sending hugs and positivity

PineappleSun · 11/01/2021 17:54

I almost don't want to test, I like the feeling that I could be pregnant even though I'm convinced I'm not. Once I get the BFN it's officially over for this month. Schrodinger's zygote I guess. Anyone else feel like this?

RadDarwazeh · 11/01/2021 17:51

Wait wait wait! It's like the days are dragging now we are waiting, girls! Please give me some hobbies to do/things to watch to distract me. It would be wonderful if someone got a BFP! I love that we are all rooting for each other Smile

Dixie1488 · 11/01/2021 17:30

@Annabelle0852 Yes I think you’re right! I reckon if I did test 11DPO I probably wouldn’t trust the negative 100% anyway and would test again. It’s just so hard waiting isn’t it!

:)

Annabelle0852 · 11/01/2021 17:27

@Dixie1488 personally I'd say wait for 11DPO at least so you don't doubt the result (I.e. fake negative) but some lucky ladies get BFP earlier! Just know you may end up doing another in a couple days anyway if it is neg now!

Dixie1488 · 11/01/2021 17:16

Hi everyone!

I’m looking for some advice :)

I am 9PO and cycle day 28. AF is due on 16th Jan (5days away), although my cycles do vary- 31-37 days usually. As this is our first month I am desperate to test early... what do you guys think? Test or just wait?

Thanks I’m advance!

It’s so great reading all of your posts- great to know we are not on our own hey! :)
