Hi ladies,

I’m new to this and would really appreciate your help. This is my first month TTC. I’m currently on CD4 so still middle of my period. Just wondering what helped you all conceive in your first month of trying and any tips you have. I have clearblue OPK ready and have been tracking my cycles for a which vary from 27-34 day cycles with 2 random 45 day cycles one of them being my last cycle.

Anyone else TTC this month?

Thanks in advance x

Welcome @DizSquiz, @Hallie91 and @BubblesNSnuggles. This is a great little group were building here.

Unfortunately I think I'm out this month. Had a little spotting this morning so I think AF is on the way :( My symptoms have been super weird so who knows what that's been about. Ahh well fresh start onto month two hopefully with a little less stressing and a little more success.

Hopefully we will see some more BFP in the coming days and towards the end of the month.

shannonl26 · 17/01/2021 13:40

@Kittysw glad I’m not on my own, I had a iced chocolate drink this morning & I cannot tell you how sick I feel 😂 not sure if it’s the drink or not but holy shit 😂

Welcome @DizSquiz, @Hallie91 & @BubblesNSnuggles I hope your all ok ☺️ It’s a crazy roller coaster journey that’s for sure!

Can’t wait to see some more BFPs ladies. I’m still sticking to my guns & not going to test until end of the month 😂

BubblesNSnuggles · 17/01/2021 10:02

Morning all! Hope you don’t mind me jumping on - it’s our second cycle of trying for baby number 2. CD14 and usually ovulate around CD20 on a 31 day cycle.
Looking forward to sharing the TTC rollercoaster and seeing more BFPs 🤞🏻

Morning all and welcome @Hallie91 and @DizSquiz!

Ahh @PineappleSun I am so so happy for you - do let us know how you get on next few days and weeks - fingers crossed not too much morning sickness etc!

It's a beautiful day today. My hobby (other than googling about fertility...) is gardening and I think it's going to keep me sane this year during TTC - I have literally just come down to check on all my little seedlings I am growing under lamps inside - I coddle them so much, definitely ready to be a human mother not just a plant one 😂 I'm telling myself that if I get pregnant quickly that's wonderful, but if I don't, then at least I can have a full growing/harvesting season as I'm not sure I could do some of the gardening things I usually do when 7+months preggers!

Have a great day all x

Hi! I only joined Mumsnet the start of this month too, it's difficult with the acronyms at first but you'll pick them up along the way!

Welcome @Hallie91 we will keep each other sane with TTC on here!

DizSquiz · 17/01/2021 09:45

@RadDarwazeh

Hiya *@DizSquiz* welcome! How are you this Sunday? Do you wanna tell us a bit about yourself/your cycle? We are very open here haha!
Hi @RadDarwazeh I'm well thank you tired though as only got 4 hours sleep, shouldn't google early pregnancy symptoms before bed Grin How are you all?
DizSquiz · 17/01/2021 09:35

Hi,thank you Smile
I'm 27 yo, CD 15, cycle length varies from 28-37 days with the most usual being 34 days, I'm new to this site so I'm still a little unsure on the acronyms.

Hallie91 · 17/01/2021 09:32

@DizSquiz snap!

Is there room for one more?

We're 30 with 4yo girl but this is our first time TTC this month. I'm only on CD9 and discovered I'm a super impatient person already, so I'm going to be a nightmare 🙈

Eaststreet · 17/01/2021 08:56

@DizSquiz of course, welcome! How are you getting along with it?

RadDarwazeh · 17/01/2021 08:55

DizSquiz · 16/01/2021 23:58

Hi all can I join the club? TTC first time

Kittysw · 16/01/2021 23:22

@shannonl26 I know how you feel with the nausea, hopefully it passes soon. I am on and off now with it.

@2020newbie Sounds like a tough one though I'm sure you will find a way to make it work.

I'm 28 so a little younger than some maybe. I keep finding myself on YouTube in the evening watching pregnancy videos.

shannonl26 · 16/01/2021 22:01

@PineappleSun such an exciting time, happy for you!! 😀

Hope everyone else is doing ok. 9DPO for me & I keep feeling really nauseas all the time & STILL have my achey legs 😂

RadDarwazeh · 16/01/2021 20:38

Had a chat with DH. He is convinced his swimmers are good. I said we would.be very lucky for it to be successful first month. We will see soon!

@2020newbie I hope you find time to dtd. It sounds like a difficult situation. Sending hugs.

PineappleSun · 16/01/2021 19:11

@Eaststreet my testing saga started yesterday, 14 dpo

Eaststreet · 16/01/2021 18:55

@PineappleSun they’re arriving Monday. AF is due Friday I think. So I am thinking I will hold out until Wednesday and then test again Friday if AF hasn’t arrived. Which day did you first test? I’ll be 11DPO on Wednesday

2020newbie · 16/01/2021 18:26

We were going to be starting ttc this month but now dp has had to work away from home and because of lockdown he’s staying away for weekends so it’s looking unlikely this month Sad

PineappleSun · 16/01/2021 17:51

@Eaststreet glad to hear that, no one is more surprised than I am so clearly it can happen to anyone. When are your FRER due to arrive and when will you test?

@FieldView I was starting to go a bit nuts this morning so he told me to stay in bed while he went to get a clearblue, he came back with a test and a lovely bunch of flowers. I think he's very excited, he's the youngest of a big family so he's always wanted his own.

Fingers crossed for all of us!

RadDarwazeh · 16/01/2021 17:47

Yep I'm also early 30s (32) and trying for baby no.1. This is really exciting!

So girls I felt exhausted earlier and slept for three hours just now. And I never ever nap in the day. Hmm.

Eaststreet · 16/01/2021 17:17

@Grace185 I’m the same as you 29 and on cycle 1! Fingers crossed for us !

FieldView · 16/01/2021 17:16

@PineappleSun thanks for sharing your clue info! I don't think the thread had updated when I sent my last message so I missed all the info.

How did your OH take the news? Plans to celebrate?

33 over here (and pushing 34), so good to know it's possible early on in your 30's!

Grace185 · 16/01/2021 16:20

@PineappleSun thanks for that. I’m 29 and on cycle 1 so you never know haha

Eaststreet · 16/01/2021 16:19

@PineappleSun your BFP has spurred me on ! I’m actually feeling more positive that it could happen for me this month too. Probably just being very optimistic but I’ve just ordered some FRER from Amazon. Wasn’t going to test early but what the heck!

PineappleSun · 16/01/2021 16:02

I'm 30 nudging 31 Smile

Grace185 · 16/01/2021 14:43

@PineappleSun thanks for that :) it’s good to know you did it without all the tracking etc. Do you mind saying how old you are?
