Hi ladies,

I’m new to this and would really appreciate your help. This is my first month TTC. I’m currently on CD4 so still middle of my period. Just wondering what helped you all conceive in your first month of trying and any tips you have. I have clearblue OPK ready and have been tracking my cycles for a which vary from 27-34 day cycles with 2 random 45 day cycles one of them being my last cycle.

Anyone else TTC this month?

Thanks in advance x

@emilyylouise
I will have a look at them, thanks! I will try and track my cm too.
@Grace185 @BubblesNSnuggles I am rooting for you guys too! Hope you all have great news Grin

BubblesNSnuggles · 20/01/2021 10:55

Morning all! Just been catching up. Congratulations on the BFPs; so excited for you both! Fingers crossed for smooth pregnancies 😆
@emilyylouise I’ve also just got my peak so looks like we will be in the tww together.
As you can tell from the photo, this month isn’t a ‘chill’ month 😂

@Tryingforbaby91 hey! I came off the pill in November too but was only on it about 8 months. No idea if I’m ovulating as I’m not using opks (yet) but I tried to track my cm and I think I did as I had a proper af on 23 Dec so if af doesn’t arrive will test next Thursday / Friday

emilyylouise · 20/01/2021 10:51

@Tryingforbaby91

It was £30 on amazon... but I used the cheaper non digital ones last month and couldn't work them out so the digital is easier as it either shows a O which is low or the smileys are high so much easier to tell! 😊

Tryingforbaby91 · 20/01/2021 10:47

@emilyylouise
Ah right. Is that expensive? Did you try it last month as well?
That's great! I am happy for you! Hopefully, you'll have good news in a couple of weeks :) rooting for you!

emilyylouise · 20/01/2021 10:28

@Tryingforbaby91

I have been using the digital ovulation test from clearblue!
On Monday I got my first flashing smiley which means high fertility and last night I got the static smiley which means I got my peak 😀

Tryingforbaby91 · 20/01/2021 10:26

@emilyylouise
I only had a few random days of spotting, I don't know if that counts for anything 😅 How do you know that you've only ovulated this month since you came off the pill?

emilyylouise · 20/01/2021 10:18

@Tryingforbaby91

Hey! Similar situation over here... I came off the pill in November after 8 years being on it. Had a withdrawal bleed about 4 days later and then I had no period at all in December and it came beginning of jan! I also got all frustrated and stressed as I kept taking tests in December as I thought I was pregnant 🤣
This is my first month since November that I have actually ovulated

Tryingforbaby91 · 20/01/2021 10:14

Can I join?
Me and my OH started trying last month. I came off the mini pill at the beginning of December but still no period, and the few pregnancy tests I've taken were all negative. I've been on the pill for more than 10 years. It's been frustrating not knowing anything about my cycles Sad

Grace185 · 20/01/2021 09:42

@EllisRoses ah mine wasn’t enough to even go onto a liner so yeah that might be a light period. I’d take a test to check, do you know when you ov?

EllisRoses · 20/01/2021 09:22
@EllisRoses hey. I had spotting too a few days ago and my last af was 23 Dec. I’m not counting it as af, it was nothing compared! I’m due Friday so we’ll see how that goes! What’s yours due?
I say it's been regular I just mean it's been between every 4-7 weeks ish. It still varies but I used to only have about 2 periods a year before I had my son. I've not had spotting before, I'm still having to wear a pad so it could be a really light period but just strange that there's no cramps. It'll be so typical if I go back to being all over the place just as we want to ttc again!!

Hoping your AF doesn't turn up!

Congrats to those who have tested positive and good luck to those on TWW!

I have PCOS and after having my son 18 months ago I had since stopping breastfeeding at 12 months become regular for the first time in my life! I had a normal heavy period and cramps on xmas day and then 3 days ago started really lightly bleeding with no cramps. Not sure whether to class it as a period or not but I'm temping and my LH tests arrive today so hopefully I don't have to write this month off

Grace185 · 19/01/2021 22:36

@emilyylouise yay! Fingers crossed for you!!

emilyylouise · 19/01/2021 21:09

I got my peak everyone 😀

Grace185 · 19/01/2021 19:55

@Kittysw I’m onto the banisters and a window sill soon 🙄 I’m still full time but can imagine it’s good for furlough!

Kittysw · 19/01/2021 19:52

@Grace185 Yeh I think painting any wood is just the worst. I always see the finished image in my head and just go for it. I would much rather pay someone to do it for me. Though it's kind of a waste of money given I am furloughed so should just do it myself.

Grace185 · 19/01/2021 19:45

@Kittysw haha I’m the same with the diy! It passes the time but I’m currently painting door frames which is not fun!!

Grace185 · 19/01/2021 19:43

@shannonl26 I haven’t got the boob thing at all but don’t ever have it at any point. I do have a mild stretch/stabbing pain on my left abdo area but I have also started running so that could be it. The main thing was the spotting I had a few days ago and mild cramps that aren’t like my period cramps. We’ll see :)

shannonl26 · 19/01/2021 19:39

@Kittysw oh god that’s got to be up there with one of the worst things ever 😂

@Hallie91 going by my Flo app & positive opk AF is due 21/23, but my normal AF date would be 28th so I am going to try my best to hold off testing until then 😂 but I’m getting more impatient as the days go on so I’ll probably cave & rest over the weekend.

Hallie91 · 19/01/2021 19:25

@Kittysw I'm excited for everyone too. When is everyone due or testing!

I'm due 5th/6th but I'm going to try my best to wait until then to test rather than do it early 🙈 not sure I'll stick to that though!

Kittysw · 19/01/2021 19:15

Looks like this is the new normal with AF then. Though it's heavy I'm pleased they have all been shorter which is soo much better :) I have slept loads today. Don't know why.

I'm so excited to see the outcome for everyone testing soon. I'm occupying myself with sanding down our banister and do I regret even starting it! I feel like I will be here until this time next year still sanding the bloody thing!

shannonl26 · 19/01/2021 18:59

@Kittysw yes when I was on the pill I’d have 5/6 days of fairly light. Since coming off the pill (and many years ago before I started taking it) they would be unbearably heavy/painful & lasting anything upto 10 days. I feel your pain.

@Grace185 exciting times ahead. I’ve done what many ladies do & convinced myself this month isn’t the month, still got waves of nausea & sore boobs, but I forget they’re sore until I knock them or have an itch. If that makes sense 😂😂😂 it’s not a ‘constant’ soreness.

Grace185 · 19/01/2021 18:08

@shannonl26 @Kittysw thanks guys. I’ve ordered some clear blues and frers to arrive next Monday- Wednesday. I think once they turn up I might just do one of af isn’t here as I’ll be late then. Not sure if I can wait until next Friday haha. But I ordered them so I’m not tempted to go buy some at the weekend!

Rmd123 · 19/01/2021 18:06

@RadDarwazeh huge congrats ❤️
