Been trying for another for a few years with losses. Hoping this is my year as I've extended my cut off so many times and if it doesn't happen this year I really need to move on with my life.

Anyone want to join me?

I'm torn about the vaccine too, I should be getting it next month but then shouldn't ttc until June. I'll be 41 in October and it's a race against time to get pregnant before the cysts on my working ovary damage it beyond repair, but I need to have the vaccine for my health and for the sake of DS.

Tiletiletile1 · 07/02/2021 10:10

How is everyone doing this month?

Good question about vaccine and TTC. I am not due to get one any earlier than the norm for my age group, but it did occur to me that if I do get pregnant, I’ll miss the chance to get one in April / May (which is when I think the 40 group gets it?). Frustrating but I think I’d rather get pregnant at this point as it’s been so long! Confused

@Elllicam

Hi all, I’ll be 40 in July and we’ve been TTC for a year with two losses. *@courtrai* I got my first vaccine at the beginning of July.
Thanks - it's was difficult to decide and I think I'd like to not have taken it but I can't risk getting poorly.
Elllicam · 01/02/2021 22:22

That was meant to say January

Elllicam · 01/02/2021 22:22

Can I ask what people's views are on COVID vaccine and TTC? I work in NHS and after whooping cough as an infant and several bouts of pneumonia I have today had my first dose. They asked repeatedly about TTC but given my risk factors it was advised. Would be grateful to know others opinions

courtrai · 29/01/2021 08:10

I'm so glad others are in the same boat as me (42 TTC 10m but nothing at all happening). I wish all of you the very best. Currently in TWW but again I'm not hopeful.

Splodgetastic · 28/01/2021 21:53

I’m in. 43 TTC #1 for feels like years (it is years, too scared of IVF too).

Remembermee · 28/01/2021 21:43

Yes me. I’m 41 and we’re ttc first child. We have fertility issues though. Dh is on injections which have helped his swimmers. But he can’t come when we dtd so we’re trying home insemination.
Misread the ovulating test though and told him I was at peak fertility on Sunday. So we tried sun and Monday. Then again yesterday. Then I realised I’d misread it and it was high fertility not peak. It’s peak now but dh can’t produce anything now!
We can pay for ivf but it scares the hell out of me.

Meme69 · 28/01/2021 21:26

@Fishergirl I could have written you post. I'm 42 have had 1 MMC last February and 5 other losses. AF due on Sunday. Good luck all

kalidasa · 28/01/2021 21:05

Hello. I'm 40 and ttc no 3, we have boys who have just turned 8 and 6. I had v complicated pregnancies and it took ages to persuade DH to consider another. Hoping we've not left it too late. Third month trying, pretty sure I had a false start / early loss in month 1 but my dad had a heart attack and I had to rush up to them so didn't test at the time. AF due this weekend so waiting to see if it turns up.

FutureMum · 28/01/2021 20:52

Joining this thread. 43 and 3/4 and TTC number 3. DC2 was born when I was in my 40s, but we haven’t been lucky yet with DC3.

Tiletiletile1 · 27/01/2021 22:13

I took a month off for my own mental health - this “am i?” “Am I not?” Was making me crazy! It was refreshing to know AF was coming and not dread it. Will try again this month though, DH has been taking his vitamins religiously for a couple of months now. I think it has to be three in total to make a difference?

I’ve been taking ubiquinol too - I didn’t know it lengthened your cycle? Mine isn’t long though - between 26 and 28 days.

believingitmighthaooen · 27/01/2021 14:26

Hi sorry for not updating sooner. How are you all? I had a really long cycle af didn't come until day 42 and I had done a few tests so knew I wasn't pg so just very frustrating! I've been taking ubiquinol and last time I had a long cycle too so I might stop for this month and see what happens. Haven't got time to wait so long between cycles!

I’d love to join please? I’m coming up for 42 have two dc from previous relationships (16 & 15) and dp has two (14 & 13) but we would love one together. He has low motility but managed to have the other two ok, e had one loss two years ago but nothing since. I am now cd36 no flo amd no sign, but have dizziness and nausea and bfn yesterday! Also last month flo was light but went on for a lot longer than usual. I’m panicking there’s something wrong with me Confused

Pinkywoo · 04/01/2021 09:15

I know that feeling @Changechangychange, we had to put off ttc until after my surgery (which kept getting cancelled Angry) so I was 39 by the time I had DS. It's excruciating knowing you could be running out of time but there's nothing you can do about it Flowers

2020canfuckitself · 03/01/2021 21:43

Me please. I'm 38 with 3 kids but I'm really struggling this time. I've been trying for a year and I feel like time is running out for me

timeforanother1 · 03/01/2021 21:20

@Idreamof2more this is AMAZING congratulations!
Lovely to see.

Both dp and I are about 2 stone heavier since we last ttc and are not fit/ active like we used to be... time for things to change!

Janefx40 · 03/01/2021 20:52

Thanks @Fishergirl

Idreamof2more · 03/01/2021 20:11

@Janefx40 thank you 😊

Changechangychange · 03/01/2021 19:58

Can I join? Almost 42, TTC DC2 for two years but found out in summer I have Ashermans - I’ve been waiting for surgery since September but due to Covid it hasn’t happened, and I can feel my fertility slipping away Sad

Fishergirl · 03/01/2021 19:50

@Janefx40 I bought some from Amazon. They're Nu U Nutrition 4000iu softgels. I took 2 a day for a couple of weeks and now just take 1 a day.

Janefx40 · 03/01/2021 19:18

@Idreamof2more congratulations - what a lovely start to 2021.

@Fishergirl can I ask where you get your D3? I think I should probably start taking that.

@Tiletiletile1 I know what you mean about "half-implementing" it starts with an egg! It's hard to do it all. Am going to re-read in the next few days and check what else I should be doing!

Idreamof2more · 03/01/2021 17:54

@Pinkywoo @Fishergirl thank you ladies 💓💓

Tiletiletile1 · 03/01/2021 17:37

I’m 40 and I’ll join you! Been TTC for 2 years and just discovered DH has a low sperm count (2million). I keep telling myself to move on... but can’t!

Have read “it starts with the egg” and half implemented it.
