I'm sure we can all agree that there are a lot of reasons to not TTC right now... but I'm almost 32 and DH and I would like 2 children so really need to get a shuffle on with the first...

Justifying myself aside, I just really needed to get my excitement out somewhere where people will understand!

I've got my conception vitamins and some myo-isotol to hopefully help regulate my irregular cycles. My copper coil is coming out in April... then its all systems go!

Anyone else starting TTC in 2021? I'm a bit excited Grin

Ah yes sorry, forgot about the copper one!
Good luck!

Thanx @katewitch ( I was therealmrsclaus) name change fail this morning! I will look into Flo, i never tracked my cycles with last pregnancies but I will be 36 in May and I'm thinking it may not be so easy this time. I changed to decaff last month it was hard!! I lived off it!!

katewitch · 01/01/2021 12:31

Mine is a copper coil so no hormones to regulate thankfully, you're completely right though Smile

My main issue to I've always had irregular cycles so doing what I can to even them out over the next few months...

Have you considered taking your coil out sooner and using condoms for a few months whilst your body regulates itself? I would always suggest coming off contraception a good few months before you are wanting to start ttc if you have a clear plan and its possible 🙂

katewitch · 01/01/2021 11:42

I'm currently taking:

• Pregnacare Conception
• Myo-Inositol
• Vitamin D
• Iron Supplements

...I'm surprised I don't rattle Grin

So glad to say hi to you all!

And glad I'm not the only one waiting til around April, I'm hoping that will go quickly Grin

I can't recommend Flo highly enough for anyone wanting to track their cycles @therealmrsclaus, you can also flip it into "Pregnancy Mode" once you get your BFP...

Really wanting to get on the healthy eating and gentle exercise bandwagon as of today as I'm a bit sugar addicted at the moment... this is great motivation though Smile

Also switched to decaff coffee (I am a total coffee fiend) as of today which feels real...

Hi all! Me and DH also starting TTC this month! Had the coil out in September and I've been taking folic acid and vitamin D since as well as tracking ovulation using the clear blue connected just to get an idea of cycles. AF ended yesterday and the clear blue app says to start testing tomorrow! Eek! I assume that soon after AF I'll get a few days of low fertility and based on previous cycles I'm expecting ovulation to happen next weekend!

Morning all!

Nice to see there's a few of us Smile so today is CD1 as I expected 🙄 stopped taking my pill last week after an unexpected discussion with DH about how if we're going to have one more then this is the year we need to do it! So took my last pill and hoping it'll happen soon 🤞🏻

I already have one DC who will be 3 in April. Was very lucky in that it only took 6 weeks to fall pregnant then, hoping it'll happen quickly again this time but who knows 🤷‍♀️ I'm obviously a few years older and a stone heavier.

So my plan from now is to eat healthily and start doing some gentle exercise every day (I figure anything I can lose now is just a bonus). Also going to jump on DH as soon as my period stops to get the ball rolling Grin

We will start ttc in April I need a few months to get healthy and I'm hoping things will be moving toward normal by that time. Not sure if I should start tracking ovulation yet I've never tracked it before was thinking of maybe ordering some ovulation test strips.I can't wait Grin

2021 is also the start of our TTC journey!

I’m so excited and want to start trying now but DH wants to wait for the vaccine for me first (I’m in the extremely vulnerable) so hopefully won’t be too long. I’m hoping by May we can start trying properly.

Can’t wait to start and share this journey with you all Flowers

Tomorrow will be CD1 for me - first cycle, trying to conceive DC2 Grin

I'm off to bed now but just want to say 'hi 👋🏻' and mark my place. Will check back in the morning!

Hi yes we are going to ttc no 2 this year! I have a son already who will be 3 in May. We are going to start trying in March/April time. I came off the pill last month just so I can start tracking my cycle (was on cerezette so stopped my periods completely)

So excited to start trying in a few months!

katewitch · 31/12/2020 22:15

Hi!

I'm using Flo which I've used to track my (very irregular) cycles for years Smile

I used it for my now 6 year old DS back in 2014 and it worked well! This will be DH's first DC and we can't wait but agreed on April so April it will be...

April cannot come soon enough, I'm dying to get started but will be spending the next few months taking my supplements and exercising and whatnot to be as ready as possible because I'm normally very lazy

Hi @katewitch

It's very exciting to get started! We have just started, on cycle two but not been off of the pill very long (so cycles may be a bit out).

How will you be tracking cycles?
