Just that really! Interested to know of any positive stories. With TTC you can get yourself into a wormhole of negativity. Just started AF today ready to start TTC cycle 1 when it ends in a few days! Fertile period predicted to be around 8 Jan

Yes I did at age 32. Currently in first cycle of TTC number 2, let's see if we get so lucky again!

firsttimemummy321 · 29/12/2020 08:45

Yes, I was on the combined pill for 12 years. Stopped and it took about 6 weeks to get my period, conceived that next cycle (we were very active so didn't track). Unfortunately we had a very early miscarriage but conceived again the next cycle (positive test 4 weeks after) and he's sat next to me 😍

It does happen but please don't put any pressure on yourself if it doesn't for you, everyone is different and it can take 2 healthy, young people longer. From what I've witnessed with friends is that stress can have a huge impact so as hard as it is try to just enjoy the trying and 🤞🏻 for you 💕

Second cycle both times. We didn't do any ovulation testing or basal temp taking, just DTD every other day.

You will hear more from the people struggling than the people who conceive quickly. Apparently most couples will conceive in 6 months.

Yes, four times, ages 31, 37, 40, 41. Developed hypothyroidism after DC2 though but concieved immediately after levo brought TSH under 2.5.

StopSquirtingBleachOnCaneToads · 29/12/2020 05:14

Yes, both times. I was late 20s.

user1483387154 · 29/12/2020 05:11

Yes aged 39 only off the pill for 3 days when we conceived.

grandmasterstitch · 29/12/2020 04:56

I did. First baby took 18 months so we geared ourselves up for at least a year for number 2 and it happened first time. Before I tested I just had that feeling so I was Googling the odds of conceiving first time and it seems they're pretty low but someone has to! I was so shocked and a bit blindsided by it but thrilled obviously

HaggisBurger · 28/12/2020 16:47

Yes 3 times aged 29, 32 and 35. I know it’s an incredible blessing. Does happen though.

NurseNancyandDoctorDavid · 28/12/2020 16:45

I did with DD2, when I was 37.

FestiveStuffing · 28/12/2020 15:54

Yes, both times.

StacySoloman · 28/12/2020 15:53

Yes, three times - first cycle/first try. One of them was accidental.

Wishingforarainbow7 · 28/12/2020 15:49

I did twice, 1st DD is almost 2, second pregnancy was twins but ended in miscarriage at 11 weeks :(, that was in November. Im on CD5 ttc again so hope it happens 1st time for us again x

strawbmilk · 28/12/2020 15:45

Yep booth times. I was 34 & 36!

MillyJS · 28/12/2020 15:38

I did - aged 32. Quite a surprise! I was tracking my cycles using an app but didn't use ovulation sticks. I was prepared for it to take months (& know how lucky we are it was quick), so it came as quite a shock!

CC2021 · 28/12/2020 15:31

Not me (sorry to jump in, it popped up in active) but my sister did. First cycle both times - in her late twenties and early thirties. I try to remind myself of that every time I feel negative about ttc next year.

firstimemamma · 28/12/2020 15:29

Yes I did. Age 27.

TheWashingMachine · 28/12/2020 15:28

Mid thirties, first time after ruptured ectopic = DC1, first time when we decided to try for DC2 when DC1 was six months old.

HelgaK · 28/12/2020 15:22

Yes, I did.

WalkingMeAway · 28/12/2020 15:20

Yes, for pregnancy 2 and 3

igotosleep · 28/12/2020 14:34

Yes, using ovulation sticks.
I’ve fell pregnant very quickly & easily with my three children. Early to late 20s which I guess is on my side - definitely not all doom & gloom but I don’t mention it much as I feel awful for those who have a hard time trying!

BagFull · 28/12/2020 14:34

Yes - twins too :)

FeloniusGru · 28/12/2020 14:31

Yes, both times. And I have PCOS so was very unexpected! Used OPKs to identify fertile days due to long and irregular cycles but also had sex every other day throughout the rest of the cycle.

Aiguablava · 28/12/2020 11:46

I concived twice first cycle. We weren't teacking any ovulation dates or anything though we took a more relaxed approach and stopped using contraception and were just having sex when we felt like it not because it was the right time to concieve.

Mybobowler · 28/12/2020 11:26

We conceived our DD in the first month, we weren't really trying so it was a bit of a shock! Currently in the first cycle of ttc our second, but I'm not sure we'll be so lucky again!

CinnamonTeaForMe · 28/12/2020 11:16

Yeah my first was the first cycle. Second took over a year! Third was second cycle but sadly miscarried. Now ttc again and on the second cycle. It really does seem to be a total lottery! Good luck!
