It’s that time again, the 6th post-pill thread of ladies who are experiencing the highs and lows (mainly the lows…) of coming off the pill and TTC! Here you’ll find stories of delayed ovulation, crazy long follicular phases, crazy short follicular phases, light AFs, short luteal phases, long luteal phases, confusing temp charts and blindingly white OPKs, to name a few.

Join us, won’t you? We're a lovely bunch and we'd love to help you make sense of post-pill life if we can!

@FlyingGiraffe mmm chocolates and wine sounds amazing! I also had a glass of wine. I had a Thai takeaway. It was very yummy! By the sounds of it you’re only properly on cycle 4 ttc then so fingers crossed it won’t be long for you ☺️ X

@ChinChilly kfc sounds amazing!

@Kay00 I also indulged in a glass of wine. Thanks to the delayed ovulation lol! Good luck with the soy isoflavones. I’d be really interested to know how you find them. Hope they work well for you x

FlyingGiraffe · 08/01/2021 21:06

@ChinChilly I've got the free version, but like looking in the chart gallery in the 'Community' section. You can filter it to show ovulation charts, pregnancy charts etc as well as filtering it further to show those with long cycles, short lps, low temps etc. I think you can only get the 'charts like mine' with the subscription though unfortunately.

@Kay00 Hope you've enjoyed the wine! Wine Mine went down very well! Sounds like the soy isoflavones might be worth a try for you next month. Hope you ovulate soon first though! (and don't run out of opk's in the meantime!)

Kay00 · 08/01/2021 20:51

Haha, thanks ladies... the silver lining of waiting for your Ov to happen is... the Wine! 🍷🍾 Happy Friday! (It has indeed been a long week @flyinggiraffe!)

@flowers222 your chart looks sweet 👌 Soy Isoflavones are 'natures clomid' apparently, they truck the body into producing more Estrogen and LH which should result in a stronger, earlier ovulation. It should only be taken for a few days at the beginning of a cycle (eg. days 3-7) and is only advised for women who have long unpredictable cycles (or it can seriously mess your cycles up).

ChinChilly · 08/01/2021 19:27

Also can you only get the charts like mine thing on FF if you pay the subscription?

ChinChilly · 08/01/2021 19:25

@Cams50 @FlyingGiraffe I’m not doing to well on the diet front....just eaten half of KFC, OH is a bad influence 😂

FlyingGiraffe · 08/01/2021 18:45

Evening! Happy Friday everyone Smile

@Cams50 I'm also failing on the new year health kick front...just had a load of M&S chocolates and a glass of red wine! Haven't been drinking much at all lately, but was craving a glass tonight. It's been a long week! What takeaway have you ordered? I hope you get your peak soon. I had a month like yours last month, after months of short lp's and late ovulations, it happened on CD13 and I also had a 12 day lp! I was wary it might be a one off so I guess I wont get my hopes up for this month!

@TheDaydreamBelievers I've not spoken to you before, but really hope you're doing ok. x

@ChinChilly My lowest has been 36.20 but as others have said, I think it varies...I still like looking up the charts on Fertility Friend and comparing mine though!

@Flowers222 your chart looks great!

I'm CD4 today and AF is almost finished I think and hope! This is cycle 6 for me now. A lot of friends the same age as me had managed to conceive by now...I'm 35 so could go to the doctors and get tests soon but feel like I might give it bit longer, as we had two of those months where we couldn't give it a good go (cystitis and food poisoning will do that for you!) Patiently waiting for CD8 to start dtd every other day...best warn the DH!

Cams50 · 08/01/2021 18:07

@Juno231 thanks I hope it hurries up! I feel like I’ve gone backwards this cycle which is frustrating - long period, delayed ovulation and probably a tiny lp knowing me 😂 the cycle before was amazing - shorter period, earlier ovulation and 12 day lol and I thought my cycles were finally sorting themselves out but nope. I get how you feel about the fertility doctor @Juno231 and @ChinChilly feel like I’m just waiting for the one year mark to get the ball rolling. As I’m cycle 9 I could have had a baby this month if I’d gotten pregnant the first month! Oh well I’m sure it’ll happen for us all when it’s meant to. I’m ordering a takeaway at the moment so the new year health kick isn’t going great 😅

ChinChilly · 08/01/2021 17:06

@TheDaydreamBelievers sorry your still getting positive, must be tough 😔

@Kay00 thankyou! I didn’t really know what to expect and what was normal etc. I saw somewhere that low temps can be linked to thyroid function so made me wonder. Crappy you haven’t ovulated yet hopefully it happens soon.

@Flowers222 thanks, your chart looks good 🤞🏼

@Juno231 I know the feeling, I feel like we’ve been TTC for ages and everyone around me keeps getting pregnant. I feel like I’m just waiting around for the 1 year mark to go back to the doctor 🙄

@Ttcin2021 welcome 🙋🏼‍♀️ I have literally just started temping so can’t be of much help I’m afraid 😂

Juno231 · 08/01/2021 16:37

@Flowers222 that's a lovely clear chart! Fingers crossed for you

@kay00 doesn't hurt to try the iso next cycle - you had great success with the B-complex!

@Cams50 hope your ovulation hurries up too!

I'm bored out of my mind already and am only 4DPO. Been thinking a lot about the fertility assessment next month as well - can't believe I'm still here TTC! My friends have literally fallen pregnant AND had their babies since I started lol.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 08/01/2021 16:35

Thanks all! We will get there I hope!

@Ttcin2021 temps vary woman to woman. One persons low temp will be anothers high. Personally, my routine temp is about 36.27 and high temps about 36.67. The lowest I've seen is 36.01 after MMC

Flowers222 · 08/01/2021 16:18

@ChinChilly 36.18 is perfectly normal! Mine tend to be 36.1-36.2 after AF. Exciting to get you first dot on your chart!

@TheDaydreamBelievers sorry you are still getting positives. Hopefully your tests will go negative ahead of your appointment and you can start trying again quickly! 🤞

Welcome @Ttcin2021

@Kay00 sorry ovulation hasn't happened yet, how frustrating! Not heard of soy iso before, what does it do?

7DPO today, chart islooking good but still not a lot going on symptom wise. Had some sharp twinges earlier for a few minutes which I'm hoping is something good. Trying not to overthink it though as it's still really early 🙈

Cams50 · 08/01/2021 16:15

@Kay00 ugh I feel your pain. I’m CD18 and getting 0 on my OPKs. So frustrating. The latest I’ve ovulated is CD20 so it would want to hurry up. Hope it happens for you soon x

@TheDaydreamBelievers I’m so sorry 😞 it must be awful trying to start afresh with it still lingering like this. Hope it gets sorted for you quickly x

Kay00 · 08/01/2021 16:01

@TheDaydreamBelievers If you're still positive 6 weeks after surgery then you will certainly be glad for the tests, hope it all resolves quickly x

@ChinChilly exciting that you are charting!! Your temp would be considered at the higher end of my temp range in FP Grin so I that counts as normal Grin

@Robyn101 Fingers crossed for you, your chart is looking Ace!

I'm on CD25, still getting negative OPKs... i'm running out, only have a few more days to go. TBH i'm getting sick of peeing on sticks Grin who would have though that would ever happen!! Grin

My regular failed ovulation attempts are making me more and more convinced to try the Soy Iso next cycle,

Juno231 · 08/01/2021 15:15

@Ttcin2021 welcome! Exactly what @TheDaydreamBelievers said!

@thedaydreambelievers I'm so sorry you might have retained product :( I hope it gets resolved quickly so you don't have to delay TTC any further!

Ttcin2021 · 08/01/2021 14:50

@TheDaydreamBelievers thank you that’s really helpful. Natural cycles app asks for my temp each morning..... what does temp normally look like when ovulating? Sorry so new to all this.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 08/01/2021 14:11

@Ttcin2021 yes it is possible to get pregnant right away. Your first period can be a bit delayed coming off ceraztte. Best best is to use temps and OPKs to see when you ovulate. 2 weeks after ovulation you are either pregnant or get a period.

Ttcin2021 · 08/01/2021 13:50

Hi all,
I’m new here and very new to all these terms and measuring etc. Came off cerazette 1st Jan and no bleeding at all..... we are not monitoring massively but I have joined natural cycles. Is it possible to get pregnant before first cycle or is there no point doing any tests until that happens? Any advice appreciated!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 08/01/2021 13:30

Update from me is:

  1. EPU want to see me to do bloods and a scan as my tests are still positives 5 weeks after surgery. However because of their business and my clinics schedules the soonest we could put in an appt is next Thursday! So might well be negative by then 🤣
  1. My temperatures are still all over the place.
  1. In super worried that even after the tests go negative my cycle will go back to the extended length nightmare it was before!
Moocher90 · 08/01/2021 12:01

CD7 today so hopefully will be coming up to my FW. OPKs so far has no second line. Prepared DH for the next 2 weeks of sex every other day 😂 just in case of a later ovulation. Day 3 of spinning too!

ChinChilly · 08/01/2021 11:47

@Juno231 Ahh how many DPO are you? 🤞🏼 for you this cycle!

@MissC07 Ahh thank you, just waiting for AF to feck off now 🙄

@Delilah221 if it is just when you wipe I would probably put it down as spotting? If you need a pad or anything during the day then maybe stick it down as a light bleed. The seven seas tablets are being hailed as a miracle tablet at the moment, just finished my first packet and I’m still not pregnant 😂 but folic acid on its own makes me feel really sick so I’m just going to stick with them for now.

Delilah221 · 08/01/2021 11:40

@ChinChilly - I logged it as light bleed as it was a tad more than spotting and lasted all day. But it's difficult to log as its often only when i go for a wee and it's there when i wipe (TMI but i know that's welcome here haha) So yea no idea with it all!
Haha, yes they are way better value for money and i got them in asda so easier to pick up and i've heard the pregnecare tabs are huge! lol

MissC07 · 08/01/2021 11:40

@ChinChilly Mine was 36.29 today it's been pretty much the same all week.

Juno231 · 08/01/2021 11:38

@ChinChilly woop! perfectly normal temp. My CD7-9 were 0.18 pretty much as well.

Today my temp was 36.69 and I giggled - what an adult!

ChinChilly · 08/01/2021 11:34

@Mol234 Ah that’s good to hear! Thank you

@Delilah221 I use the easy@home ones from amazon I find them easiest to read and you can link them up to the premom app. What did you log it as one the app? I think I would of put it down as spotting obviously dependent on how much of it there is. I’m also take the seven seas TTC, they seem to get good reviews and are friendly on the purse 😂

Delilah221 · 08/01/2021 10:55

@ChinChilly - Nope not tried any ovulation tests yet, but will have a look when i go shopping today, if not I'll order some from amazon. I was reallllly trying not to obsess with it and to just "see what happens" but it's driving me mad! I had another lot of brown discharge yesterday/today and I put it in my app and it's classed this as the start of my new cycle so now i feel it really is all over the place! :(

@firsttimemummy321 - Sorry to hear you feel stuck in limbo right now. Good luck with the next test, hope it's a strong line for you!

@Juno231 - That's interesting to read about all the different suppliments! I'll look into the primrose oil!
I'm current;y taking the seaven seas TTC but not sure if that's helping at all or not at this stage.

How's everyone feeling today ladies?
