@justwanttobemum I actually find the temping the least stressful part of tracking. My body is used to waking up, popping the thermometer in my mouth then heading back off to sleep. Opks are much more stressful 😆

@ChinChilly I know a lot of couples are statistically likely to conceive within six months but the way I say it is that as we’ve all come off the pill it’s more than likely going to take our bodies longer to sort themselves out so we can’t fit within that time frame. That’s what I’m telling myself anyway 💁🏼‍♀️😂 one cycle isn’t great but it is something I guess! I better start saving just in case lol.

@justwanttobemum I felt the exact same way as you. I wanted to not overthink or stress so avoided temping for like 5 months but I think it’s helped me stress less as it takes out the guessing and wondering have I ovulated or not. You quickly get used to doing it. I haven’t tried the clear blue opks or monitor though no sorry. I think some of the other ladies have!

@ACNass your line is definitely as dark as the control and positive, ive never had one that dark 😞 since coming off the pill I have had very regular cycles 28/29 days so I've not been bothered with long or irregular cycles so I kind of assumed that was a positive sign that I was back to normal. Stupid me. @Juno231 and everyone else thanks for advice, I have thought about temping but it wasn't really a route I wanted to go down as I don't want to obsess and do it every day and it looks really confusing but maybe I will have to. Think next month I might try clear blue opks or buy that fertility monitor thing - anyone tried these?

@Cams50 I just had a look for where I live just out of interest it’s only one cycle here and the surrounding areas! Yeah it’s hard to get into and maintain that mindframe. I saw a post on another thread and one woman said she would be really concerned if she hadn’t conceived by 6 months of trying, that set me off worrying because I’ve been off the pill over 6 months now 😞

@Cams50 I’m the same some days I think it will happen when it’s meant to happen then other times I can’t stop thinking about why it’s not happening and there must be something wrong with me. WOW that seems super unfair about the IVF 😞

@ChinChilly thank you! Some days I feel absolutely fine about it all but others I get super worried I’ll never conceive and overthink everything. I need to calm myself as stress doesn’t help lol. It’s all so difficult. Anyway just went down a googling rabbit hole so I need to snap out of it 😂

So I hope we won’t need it but I’ve just been doing some googling about IVF and my NHS trust doesn’t offer any IVF on the NHS 😖 It just seems so unfair that it differs across trusts. The trust 5 minutes down the road offers two cycles worth! Anyway I’m being negative. Hopefully it won’t come to that 🤞🏻

@ACNass @justwanttobemum It is possible your missing you’re peak or you’re not ovulating yet, I don’t think I ovulated the first few cycles off the pill. Also I use the premom app to read OPKS and sometimes I don’t think it reads them very well it all depends on the lighting. If the line is as darker or darker than the control line the your there!

@Kay00 I fell you! CD19 here and I had a bit of a temp rise this morning so not the drop before the LH surge I was hoping for 😒

@acnass welcome! Its very possible you are just missing your peak... I have missed mine in 3 out of 5 cycles so far and im fast running out of OPKs ... so will probably miss it this cycle too 😆 im pretty sure im ovulating though because I get a temp shift in the second part of my cycle.

Cd 26 here... still no ovulation 😑

I wonder could the Agnus castus delay ovulation? I’m taking it to lengthen my lp but maybe it’s lengthening everything 🤷🏼‍♀️

@justwanttobemum and @ACNass I agree with @Juno231 about the temping. I felt exactly like you both. I wasn’t sure if I was ovulating or not. I think it can take a few cycles coming off the pill for ovulation and normal cycles to return but I feel so much more confidant that I’m ovulating since I’ve started temping. The temp rise confirms the OPKs.

@justwanttobemum I have a very similar story to you! I came off the pill august 2020. My OPKs are never a blazing positive and I always question if they even match the control. I also never notice an ewcm. This is a picture of probably my strongest positive OPK. I do get lower abdomen pains which I assume are ovulation pains but I can't be 100% certain because of my OPK results

Can anyone please help I am getting so stressed and upset with this. Came off pill sept 2020 tracked ovulation with opks dec and jan and I get stronger lines but have never had a peak and now freaking out thinking I don’t ovulate. it was similar last month too but I didn’t have the Premom app to take photos so my strongest lines are about cd15 just after when my apps say I’ll ovulate on cd14. I’ve never noticed any ewcm but yesterday I did have some cramps/twinges esp on lower left side a bit like period pains so I thought could be ov pains? Can I still be ovulating if these are my darkest lines?

@flyinggiraffe, those Clearblue advanced OPKs are quite appealing as I tend to get my strongest OPKs around 11am (my first urination after 4-6am), then its all down hill from there... no matter how much I hold on and how little I drink 😂

@elsie2021 I think DTD every other day is a good plan ... its what I'm aiming for this month 🤞🤞🤞

@Elsie2021 sounds like you’ve got DTD covered! My FW always falls over OH night shifts which is annoying!

@FlyingGiraffe I’ve spent far too long looking at charts now 😂😂 I tend to use normal OPKs with FMU to be honest anyway then do another one later on in the day. I’m just addicted to POAS! I’m not ordering any OPKs until closer to FW otherwise I’ll be pissing on them by CD7 just for something to do 😂

@Cams50 That's what I figure too. Now my cycles are settling to something resembling 'normal' I feel happy to keep trying a bit longer. Glad the takeaway was good!

@Kay00 I'm sure you probably are already, but are you testing after holding for a few hours/not drinking too much? Mine are so much clearer if I do that. I bought the Clearblue advanced opk's though last month cos you use them first thing in the morning so I thought it'd be better than dehydrating myself!

CD15 and i am pretty sure my CM is getting more watery so we DTD again tonight.

OPK was low today though so if it’s low tomorrow we’ll have tomorrow off. If it’s high we’ll do it again!

My plan was to DTD every other day and then every day once signs of O. What do you all tend to try and do?

I have looked into it and don’t think DTD every day should be a problem for DH sperm count but I don’t want to wear us both out before we even get to O!

@flyinggiraffe im so over OPKs right now... I have peed on 3 x sticks a day for about 10 days and nothing 😑😑😑 my body is giving me a soft high open cervix and fertile CM... but no LH surge 🤷‍♀️
