Anyone else on the TWW and hoping for a Christmas miracle

Hi everyone,

This is our first cycle TTC, and whilst I promised myself I would stay calm and collected, truthfully I am the total opposite. I can't switch off from thinking about it.

It's taken my OH a while to come to terms with trying to start a family. Whilst we have been together since we were 15 (now 27) he always wanted to earn more, to have a bigger house etc but he's come to finally realise that it's never the right time and we just have to go for it. I was so so pleased he was finally ready but promised we would keep it relaxed and calm. If it happens, it happens,

But working from home and not having anything else to do, I just can't switch off from my mind wondering 🙈 wondered if there was anyone else in the same boat who just wants to chat really?

I'm due AF on Christmas Day so it would be such a Christmas miracle if she doesn't come.

@Mariex1989 no they don't, but they knew we were trying and were so excited when I told them last year.

Aww that makes sense! I definitely feel like if AF isn't here in a week (if you can wait that long) you'd get an accurate result x

Yeah they both have babies. The one that said do it ASAP got pregnant super quickly with no issues. The one that said wait a week had to go through IVF so I think she’s just being cautious for me not to get my hopes up x

@Mariex1989 it's actually crazy. Considering when I was in the epu 2 weeks ago I just saw the gestational sac and tiny tiny yolk sac. No wonder I've felt rough 😂

We have a galentines day call at 5 before date night so I'm going to tell them then 😄

Haha awww does your friend who suggested a week have kids? Because I feel like before I'd been through the TWW wait I'd have said the same Hahaha! I say do one Monday 😉 x

@ELBlack eeeeeek loooooooook!!! 😍😍 it’s mad how the little bean will soon be an established baby isn’t it, crazy! Have you told your best friends then?

I told a couple of my close friends last night what’s happening. They could both see it and are more leaning towards positive than negative but I just don’t think so deep down. One said wait a week and test; I was like are you mad I could never wait a full week 😂😂 x

Well done for staying so strong @Mariex1989 really hoping AF doesn't arrive and you get a BFP next week. Totally get why you're stressed and not surprised you're tired.

@Foundmyfeet haha awww! Get some good food and perhaps hair of the dog? Is the DD staying out or do you have to deal with the hangover plus teenager?

I was strong and didn’t go down the PR aisle! Think I’m more stressed about it than I thought, it’s worn me out I can barely keep my eyes open. Just need to either come on or get a clear pos 😩 x

@ELBlack awwww I'm so made up for you! I can only imagine how relieved and excited you feel. Did you get pics?

We had a lovely evening. DH made a delicious meal and we had a lot of quality time without teenage girl hormones flying around the house!

Nah I’ve refrained from testing today. I was telling myself “get your fmu out the way so you can’t be tempted” 🙈. I’m going to do a food shop shortly so I need to stay clear of the PT aisle 😂

@Mariex1989 thanks so much! We are having pancakes to celebrate! Such a weight lifted. EDD is still 27th September but it may change at my 12 week scan next month xx

Morning ladies! Ultrasound went perfectly, baby bean measuring exactly as it should be, dated exactly as I thought and very strong heartbeat of 162bpm. Me and my husband both burst into tears 😂😍 xx

@Mariex1989 oh so you didn't take an early detection test?! I reckon the hcg threshold is quite high in normal digital ones then!! I really want you to get an early one 😂😂

@Foundmyfeet haha yes absolutely no more line ones 🙈 I’ve just bloody realised they have early detection digital ones, kicking myself so hard right now!

The night sounds lovely! Definitely crack open that Shiraz! I will for sure be having some wine tonight, I’m surprised I haven’t already caved.

Had a delivery of a beaut bunch of red roses from the OH which has cheered me up ☺️.

@ELBlack eeek I bet it goes quick anyway! Next thing you know you’ll be cuddling your beautiful baby while I’m still here scrutinising over none existent lines 😂😂

I've thrown mine away, otherwise I'd tear it apart for you hahaha. I think just try relax and as @Foundmyfeet have a wine! Hopefully AF won't arrive.

It's at 9am @Foundmyfeet so I'll keep you updated! I'm really excited, nervous bit excited!

@Mariex1989 No more FRER's for you! Digital only!! These bloody indent lines!!! Sod it...have the wine. It's Sod's law that after a booze up you find yourself pregnant and then you worry about having had the booze up! Lol!

@ELBlack - can't wait for tomorrow! What time is your appointment?

DH is coming back tonight. Was supposed to come back yesterday but hadn't finished the job so stayed an extra night. DD is at my sister's house for the night..she's in our bubble so it's all safe. This means DH and I will be having an early valentines dinner and some good lovin' baby!! Lol! Might crack open some Shiraz!

Maybe, who knows! As they say “not out until AF arrives” 🙈.
I’ve only gone and taken apart my digital (I know I know I really shouldn’t) and now of course I’m over analysing and googling it 😂😂 found an interesting YouTube video of someone who was absolutely not pregnant and she got 2 lines on the bottom strip and none on the hcg detection strip, mine has 3 but I think they all probably do x

@Mariex1989 it honestly had colour you might just be a bit earlier than you think if maybe you ovulated later.

@ELBlack bless you ❤️ I think I dipped it for 20 secs, but I lost count as I was so nervous 😂. Like I’ve had so many indents/evaps in the past but never like these 😩 I’m so glad we have this group to keep me semi sane!
I’m absolutely shattered, was tossing and turning the last couple nights with nerves, so I’m being lazy and binge watching RuPaul today.

Ahhh yeah absolutely need to celebrate first one married! That sounds like a perfect day ☺️.

Cuuuuute, was everyone surprised or did they know you were trying? X

@Mariex1989 I'm not giving up hope yet!! Did you dip the digital long enough? They need to be in for much longer than regular ones.

I'm going to tell my 2 best friends from uni, but that's it. Both sets of parents and siblings know now too.

We don't usually but we are this year! It's our first one as a married couple. We aren't doing anything crazy, just pancakes for breakfast, nice long dog walk and dinner with some alcohol free bubbles 😁 x

@ELBlack don’t be daft it’s fine 😂 if I was looking at them tests from someone else I’d be saying the same. I put them on another thread as well and everyone was saying they could definitely see it. Yeah I’ll wait the weekend out and if no AF I’ll retest.

Yes please do! I’m excited for you eeek! Will you start telling people after the scan or wait?

Not really no, we don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day, but we’re having our date night tonight so will act like it’s for Valentine’s 😂 are you? x

Definitely have a wine! I had a massive gin 9dpo when I had my vv faint line that I thought was an indent 😅

Yes I know! I'm nervous but mainly excited. I'll let you know how it goes!
