Anyone else on the TWW and hoping for a Christmas miracle

Hi everyone,

This is our first cycle TTC, and whilst I promised myself I would stay calm and collected, truthfully I am the total opposite. I can't switch off from thinking about it.

It's taken my OH a while to come to terms with trying to start a family. Whilst we have been together since we were 15 (now 27) he always wanted to earn more, to have a bigger house etc but he's come to finally realise that it's never the right time and we just have to go for it. I was so so pleased he was finally ready but promised we would keep it relaxed and calm. If it happens, it happens,

But working from home and not having anything else to do, I just can't switch off from my mind wondering 🙈 wondered if there was anyone else in the same boat who just wants to chat really?

I'm due AF on Christmas Day so it would be such a Christmas miracle if she doesn't come.

@Mariex1989 haha yes that is very true! I'm going to my in-laws who don't know we are TTC and if I say I'm not having a drink they will be like 🤔🤔🤔 what the hell is wrong with you 😂

Haha same, I'm like OMG I'm getting out of breath walking up the stairs.. wait, there's no difference, that's normal 🙈 must get back into exercise!

@Amyc94 haha it’s so frustrating isn’t it! Last month I was adamant that I was having loads of symptoms but clearly was just imagining it. It would be so nice to surprise him on Christmas Day, but on the plus side at least we can drink if they’re BFN’s!!

@ELBlack completely agree. Could have always been having these “symptoms” just haven’t noticed, but you never know!

I’ve been taking the conceive plus capsules this month. I’ve tried them before and when I take them my cycles are shorter, so going off the past I’d be due on Friday but think I’ll try hold off testing.

Keep getting mild AF like twinges and really short of breath. Not sure if this is a symptom or just all the pre Christmas food I’ve been inhaling 🙈

ELBlack · 14/12/2020 20:43

@Amyc94 @Mariex1989 I've never paid attention before, so it could all be completely normal for me at this time in my cycle, but just never noticed before. I can take a test from next Wednesday, but I think I might save it until Christmas eve because I'd rather a better line for peace of mind, than wondering am I, aren't I.

Good luck to you both!

@Mariex1989 @ELBlack

I think my mind is just playing tricks on me and I'm finding symptoms in anything 🙈 I have dull aches but I get them after ovulation anyway

I think I'm going to test mid week next week. I know I will be disappointed if it's a BFN but my partner is having to work Christmas Day so I would love to try and know before the morning so I could surprise him before he goes to work. Maybe all just wishful thinking but I can't stop 🙈

What about you guys?

@IndigoJam oh I'm so sorry 😔

@MaryJaxx hope you're we :) it's my first time on here and using opks too. How did you find it?

Keep us updated!

@Mariex1989 of course! How are you finding everything? It's such a crazy process isn't it, it's not actually as easy as you think when you're younger 🙈

@justwanttobemum eeek fingers crossed!
Have you been trying for long?

@Mariex1989 it's so hard!! I keep getting twinges, and I'm soooo tired, bad sleeping and waking up from 5 (which is probably why I'm tired). When I went for a private scan for pelvic exam, they said I ovulated from my right side recently and I keep feeling like I'm getting twinges there, but I'm sure I'm just making it up because I know that's where I ovulated from! X

Mariex1989 · 14/12/2020 19:26

@ELBlack I’m also WFH it’s so hard to think of anything else isn’t it.

Does anyone have any symptoms? Can’t help but symptom spot but think I’m just making things up in my mind 🙈.

When’s everyone thinking of testing?

ELBlack · 14/12/2020 18:40

Hello, I'm 6dpo and first month ttc. I had my coil removed beginning of November and didn't get a period since. I went for a pelvic scan last Saturday to check what was going on after 2.5 years no period and she said recent ovulation which times in with my surge. Really hoping for a Christmas miracle, but not sure when to test as not even sure when I'm due on. Also WFH and trying to stay calm and collected but it's taking over my mind!

justwanttobemum · 14/12/2020 18:16

Hey I am also due on 24th/25th and praying for a Christmas miracle! Good luck, hoping to see loads of BFPs on here over the next week and a half 🤞🏻🙏🏻

Mariex1989 · 14/12/2020 18:12

Hi girls!
Is it ok if I join 😊?

I’m due AF anytime between 18th - Christmas Day too (slightly irregular cycles).

Trying for our first and have been off contraception for almost a year so would be a huge Christmas miracle.

Best of luck to you all trying for your BFP’s!! Xxx

MaryJaxx · 14/12/2020 17:58

Hi ladies, I'm 5dpo and AF due 24th so also hoping for a Christmas miracle!!

18months of no contraception and just seeing what happens... First month of being on mumsnet, tracking CM and using OPKs. First baby!

Fingers crossed for you all 💕

IndigoJam · 14/12/2020 17:22

@Amyc94 i had a miscarriage in July so this is my first time trying since then. I fell quite quickly early in the year. I'm not expecting it to be as quick this time.dont think I'm that lucky!

Amyc94 · 14/12/2020 17:07

@IndigoJam isn't it! 🙈 there's nothing else to do, I'm having a clear out and deep clean of a room a day this week to try and keep my mind occupied. How many cycles of trying for your 2nd are you on?
Fingers crossed for Xmas day for you! 🤞🏻

@ApplePie86 amazing that you covered all bases this month👏🏼 I have everything crossed for you!

I'm on what feels like my gazillionth cycle and also due around Christmas, I think a few days before. I covered all bases this month with DTD for 10 days street before and during ovulation so this one will be a killer if I don't get a Christmas BFP!

IndigoJam · 14/12/2020 16:56

@Amyc94 hey, I'm due on Xmas day too. Like you said its hard when you work from home not to think about it. I'm trying for my 2nd.
