Anyone else on the TWW and hoping for a Christmas miracle

Hi everyone,

This is our first cycle TTC, and whilst I promised myself I would stay calm and collected, truthfully I am the total opposite. I can't switch off from thinking about it.

It's taken my OH a while to come to terms with trying to start a family. Whilst we have been together since we were 15 (now 27) he always wanted to earn more, to have a bigger house etc but he's come to finally realise that it's never the right time and we just have to go for it. I was so so pleased he was finally ready but promised we would keep it relaxed and calm. If it happens, it happens,

But working from home and not having anything else to do, I just can't switch off from my mind wondering 🙈 wondered if there was anyone else in the same boat who just wants to chat really?

I'm due AF on Christmas Day so it would be such a Christmas miracle if she doesn't come.

@jasmineh - oh that sucks! Typical that your ex-friend didn't want kids and ended up pregnant. Would it be really naughty of me if I secretly wish (for you) that she has a nocturnal baby?! Or that her breast milk leaks when wearing a brightly coloured shirt in the middle of a supermarket?! Wink
In all seriousness, that must've felt like taking a bullet particularly after your MMC. I'm sorry to hear you've also experienced that. It near on killed me when I had mine. Sad
You are right though, our time will come...patience just isn't my strong point and age is not on my side either! I'm 43 this coming Saturday 😖

@Foundmyfeet wow that is a lot of announcements! Breaks my heart as I know how you’ll be feeling. My old best friend who said she didn’t really want children told me she was 7 weeks pregnant a week after I found out about my mmc. Life’s cruel. Now I have to be happy for her when really the jealousy is eating me away!
We just need to all remember that our time will come, hopefully this cycle but if not maybe the next! Baby dust to everyone ❤️🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼✨✨✨

I've been surrounded by pregnancy/birth announcements! It seems like it's happening for everyone except me!
My brother-in-law and his wife had their first baby 2 days before I miscarried in May.
My husbands ex-gf gave birth in July with her new partner which was the month I'd have been due if I'd not had an MMC last year.
2 friends have become grandmothers earlier this year.
My goddaughter gave birth in September.
My neighbour is due in February.
And then only this evening, my friend announced her niece gave birth last week after her first IVF attempt. She thought she told me she was pregnant but I think she was just being mindful and sensitive toward me. But hearing about others happiness and successes does make me feel good and gives me hope.
All I keep doing is buying baby stuff...just not for me!

@ELBlack I’ve noticed that too this last few days, but don’t know if I’m just overthinking.

I had to go for a nap in the middle of the day, was absolutely shattered but think that’s down to a cold I can feel coming on.

When are you thinking of testing?

@DollyMixtureStocking completely understandable. It’s nice to have these chats with people going through the same thing

@Mariex1989 it's mad how much I'm looking into everything!

I'm 7dpo now, and had more sticky white discharge than since my CM but no clue if that's a sign or not. I've also been getting a heavy pressure feeling at the top of my breasts (almost as if my chest, not boobs) but my actual boobs feel completely fine and normal.

The only overwhelming feeling I have is tiredness. I feel tired and drained down to my bones.

Any other ladies having these symptoms?

My cousin announced her pregnancy on the same day I started my period this month Sad I think I find it more frustrating as it happened so easily with my first. I’m beating myself up wondering if I’ve left it too long in between. Each month I delete my fertility apps and the month after I always redownload them! DP hates talking about it as he says it makes sex feel like a process and it puts him off! So I don’t really have anyone to talk about it with xx

Started getting mild AF twinges more now so feel like she’s going to show her ugly head in the next few days Sad

I agree about not having anything else to take your mind off it and thinking about it all the time! I deleted social media as it was getting me down seeing so many pregnancy announcements but it means every time I pick up my phone I’m just going on my fertility apps!

I’m 8 months in TTC (we have a 4 year old who we conceived on the 3rd cycle with very little effort!) and it’s getting more disheartening each month. I’m due on the 27th December so I don’t think I’m going to test unless my period is late x

I’m going to have to go back onto contraception in a few months, which I really don’t want to, but I’m getting married mid 2022!

@Foundmyfeet hi! So sorry to hear about your last 18 months Sad must be so hard but don’t give up!

@hopefully2021 I just DTD either every day or every other day both before and after my ‘fertile window’ (as I’m not exactly sure when it was). Given my partner a break from it now 😂.

@xana99 that sounds very promising! That’s great you have your fertility assessment soon if not through. Did you go through your gp? I’ve been looking into it and don’t exactly know what to do 🙈

Hi, can I join too! Af due 22nd! This month I deleted all apps and didn’t take opks. Think I ovulated on cd12 which would make me 8dpo today. How I’d love to have a rainbow baby for Christmas 💔🌈🤞🏼

Hi all! TTC #1 and so far no luck. We got our fertility tests this year (massively delayed, thanks Covid!) and have a fertility consultation on 22nd. For some reason I'm hopeful this month tho...! Trying hard not to symptom spot but am 9DPO and can't sleep more than 5 hours a night with a weird taste in my mouth... Hmm

1-2 dpo here (I think) got my static smiley Saturday-Sunday only dtd Sunday (early hours so almost Saturday evening I guess haha) af due 24th!

Finger crossed for you all! So happy to find a thread with lots of similar cycles.. let's hope Christmas Day 2020 isn't as bad after all with all the bfp's! Best of luck

@Mariex1989 yep me too, and then decided to cancel the gym membership and do workouts at home, that hasn't happened either haha 🙈

I wasn't going to use OKPs but then I thought I would just pick up the cheapies from wilko, I use one on fri and it was positive so was like ah quick to my OH 😂

I think you're doing the right thing though tbh, if you're trying to be calm, tracking O just stresses us out more and adds more pressure.

@Foundmyfeet your dates sound very similar to mine. Let's hope and wish 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

AF is due Christmas Day. My cycle is normally 26 days but last month it was 30 days and I reckon Mother Nature did that just so AF comes as a Christmas present for me! B@$*#! Lol!Obviously, hoping I get a BFP instead.

I've had a failed IVF, MMC and MC in the last 18 months and I'm trying for baby number 2. DD is 14.

This month I've used the OPK's and got my static smiley face on Friday morning so have been bd-ing according to the SMEP. I'm almost certain I ovulated on Friday/Saturday because my lower back was killing me and had twinges in my pelvic area. I'm now bloated and my boobs are feeling quite full.

Here's hoping we all get our Christmas BFP's and sticky beans! Baby dust to all! Daffodil

@Amyc94 hahah promised myself I’d be back in the gym when they reopened but I’m yet to go back.

I’m the same, if I wasn’t to drink on Christmas everyone would immediately know something was amiss.

I haven’t been tracking or using OPK’s, but now it’s coming to the end of the cycle I wish I would have 🙈
