I caved in and did a test this afternoon at 11dpo. It was bfn.

I think I'm going to have to accept defeat. It hasn't happened in 3 years already and apparently there is nothing wrong with either myself or DH so I think it's just not meant to be.

I just feel sorry for my DH. The only child I can give him is my stroppy, sullen, miserable pain in the arse DD who's not even biologically his.

I'm going off to lick my wounds. Have a great weekend ladies and @Mariex1989 enjoy the gender reveal! Can't wait to find out!

@Foundmyfeet absolutely! We never got to celebrate our engagement/nieces birth/normal birthdays so think it’s just going to be a big excuse for a bit if a blow out (where I can’t drink 😩😩). Like you say, I think everyone deserves it 🥰.

It started off just as a small gathering of close family and just telling them the gender, to now having family/friends over with catered food, balloon arches and big reveals 😂. But I am looking forward to it. Suppose we’ve not had a proper celebration since lockdown so think everyone deserves it :p xx

Yes we do have a name. I keep suggesting more just in case, but my husband is absolutely set on it. I absolutely love it though, so we are very excited. We are 99% sure she will be Lyra Elizabeth Black xx

@Foundmyfeet I’m feeling positive for you! No reason you can’t fall into that category of first timers! You’ve more willpower than me waiting until af is late before testing! When is the witch due?
The reveal is on Saturday and unfortunately we all have to wait until the reveal! We’re not finding out at the scan and getting a confetti cannon/balloon or something there and will find out with everyone else. Eek I’m hoping I can actually wait and not cave and ask them to tell me there and then. But ofc I’ll let you 2 know soon as ☺️.
Noted the chocolate!! Any excuse 😉.
The next nhs scan is 1st July. Scary how quick it’s going.

@Foundmyfeet exactly!! There's absolutely no reason why you won't fall first time, but I'd be the same in terms of testing once I'm late. I don't think I could go through the 'is that a line, isn't it a line' etc. I have high hopes, and am keeping everything crossed for you!

Yes, I've noticed I've been catching the sun more so topping up on spf! Can't imagine anything worse than being sunburnt and pregnant! I'd feel so worried about the baby 🙈 x

I don't know when I'm going to test. I think the clinic told me I should do it when I'm 6 days late, but can't be sure. I could always email and ask...or just look at the paperwork I have. Either way, I think I will wait until I'm late for my period. I'm secretly hopeful! I have read up on some stats and they say the success rate for IUI is lower than IVF because you rely on a more natural course of action, and sometimes it may take a few go's. But in some cases, it only takes the first try and I don't see why I shouldn't fall into that category...I mean...someone has to, right?! Lol!

@Mariex1989 - have some chocolate before you go for your scan. The sugar rush makes the baby active. I was told that when I went to be induced with DD. Apparently they could only induce me when she was awake...not sure why. So I had chocolate and jumped around to wake her up. When is the next scan again?

@ELBlack - I too loved seeing my belly wiggle. It's such an amazing feeling. Enjoy it now because as she gets bigger, she'll have an elbow in your rib and her foot on your bladder! I remember one morning waking up to DD hiccuping in my belly! It was the cutest thing. And you're more prone to tanning now that you are pregnant so just be careful that you don't burn. But who can resist being in this glorious sunshine after all these weeks of p*ssing rain!

@Mariex1989 I'm actually ok with it! Been really enjoying wearing dresses and sunning myself in the garden 😂

I'm sure they will find it! Unless baby is really uncooperative, but I'm sure you'll find out. I think it's just the fact it all becomes so much more real, I found anyways.

I remember driving to our scan thinking she was a girl, and then freaking out because actually you have no idea and no control. I'd have been over the moon with a boy too, but I would really shocked!

@ELBlack ahah bless you! How you feeling with the heat and bump, is it okay or you getting fed up of it?

Eek I know. I started thinking what if they can’t find out the gender and we’ve invited all our close friends and family around for a reveal party with nothing to reveal 🙈😂. Then today I’ve been really anxious and nervous about finding out the gender, no idea why as I’m really not bothered if it’s a girl or boy. I’ll blame it on the hormones 😂 xx

@Foundmyfeet it's so hard not to overthink, especially when you want it to desperately. When will you test?

Morning @ELBlack, I'm doing ok. It'll be a week tomorrow that I had the IUI. Trying not to overthink every twinge and pull! I'm 6DPO today. Feeling a little bloated but not sure if that's from the procedure or all that delicious Greek food! Lol!
