Hello!

My DP and I have been TTC for 7 months now - had one chemical loss 3 months ago and no luck since.
We are PRAYING for a Christmas baby miracle. That would be incredible 🌈 👶 is anybody else also hoping for a Christmas surprise? ❤️
Would love to follow each others journeys!

I got my positive OPK on Friday 11th so we have DTD as much as possible to cover ourselves..
Fingers crossed!

Quick update. It was definitely a false positive. Cruel really when the only thing I wanted for Christmas after 4 losses was to be Pregnant. I took another test yesterday and it was stark blazing negative. Couldn't have been anymore negative if it had tried. Now we'll just have to wait and see what next year brings. If it brings us our Rainbow we'll be over the moon. If it doesn't well it just wasn't meant to be for us. Learnt my lesson though not to get morrisons pregnancy tests ever again!

I'm going to catch up on the thread his evening but just needed to tell someone (not telling other half yet) that I tested today I think 10dpo and was the whitest BFN not even a glimmer of hope 😔 I know it's early but it felt like a kick in the teeth I've had so many symptoms this month and had such high hopes from using the clear blue advanced for the first month...

Fingers crossed still I suppose... lots of love to you all ❤️ so glad this community is here for support ❤️

throughmylens · 18/12/2020 15:33

@EggnogAndAMincepie I can definitely see a line! Smile

treesall · 17/12/2020 22:20

That looks positive to me @EggnogAndAMincepie !

EggnogAndAMincepie · 17/12/2020 16:56

Think I've finally managed to post a picture!! This is the Morrisons test. Definitely positive because the lines pale pink. The clear and simple ones I did were stark negative. Apparently the morrisons ones are more sensitive but if I'm Pregnant which I doubt I am I'll be further on than I thought so surely both would be positive if I am. Don't get paid till New Year's Eve so I'll have to wait till then before I can get some more to retest again. I have a sharp pain in my left side feels like I have a sharp stone jabbing me from the inside out and lots of watery discharge but that's normal during ovulation week for me only I can't possibly be ovulating yet if I've only just missed my period

Wouldn't let me post a picture

EggnogAndAMincepie · 16/12/2020 22:55

@Hmmm22 definitely more than 14dpo. Me and my OH are long distance and at the moment are only seeing each other when he comes over with work. Annoying thing is I usually always track on my Ovia app when we DTD but for some reason I've not tracked anything since July. I'm thinking it must've just been a faulty test or something cos I had a period last month and October but missed this month and given the last time we saw each other my OH wasn't feeling great so we gave that night a miss it's definitely not from last month.
@miracleatchristmas thank you. I think with the 2 negative tests I'm going with not pregnant. Especially after reading the reviews of the Morrisons pregnancy tests and a lot of people said they'd also got false positives on them. Don't understand how one box with 2 tests inside can have different results. Took one of them back in September I think which was negative and I came on my period literally about 2 hours after taking it. Put the sealed pack and the box in my draw and the one I did yesterday the positive line came up even before the dye had finished drying. It was pretty prominent at first but got fainter once it dried. It looks great on the photo but it's definitely pink in person.

treesall · 16/12/2020 20:43

@Hmmm22 I think I'm 12dpo. Pls cross your fingers for me!!

Hmmm22 · 16/12/2020 20:02

@Angelbabies4 I think I started testing that early as I felt like I needed to be doing something haha! Feeling more relaxed about it this time around as I know I've done all I can!

I had a weird sensation yesterday night but it's not been there much today. Just some pain on my right hand side but I had that last cycle! Also been getting hot flashes in my face which is so unlike me! How have you felt this evening?

@miracleatchristmas I feel like the YouTube videos make me sooo impatient haha! They are absolutely addictive though. Have you had any symptoms this month?

@EggnogAndAMincepie and @treesall how many dpo are you both? Fingers crossed you get that BFP over the next couple of days! Xx

treesall · 16/12/2020 18:29

Hi all.

Hoping for a Christmas rainbow here too.

Got a barely-there shadow on a cheap test this morning which disappeared once the test dried. Did a frer which showed a feint line. However I've done some cheap tests since (after holding a few hours) and suspect it may have been a chemical which has already gone wrong as they are totally, completely negative. I hope I'm wrong but time is going to drag until I can test with fmu tomorrow!

miracleatchristmas · 16/12/2020 18:29

@EggnogAndAMincepie oh no! Sorry to hear that 😩 perhaps try again in the morning, with FMU? ❤️

EggnogAndAMincepie · 16/12/2020 18:19

I thought I'd got mine, but it looks like I got a false positive because the other 2 tests I took were negative

miracleatchristmas · 16/12/2020 16:01

Hi all! 👋
Sorry for having disappeared the last few days 🙈 been so busy with work!
Glad that everyone's doing okay!

I'm 7DPO today (roughly, I think...) and really trying to stay positive..

I've been so calm about the TWW this month, but had a crazy thought today that I should POAS.. so took an internet cheapie and of COURSE it was negative 🙃😩

Trying to remain optimistic. I've never tested this early, but was scrolling through YouTube this afternoon and saw loads of videos of people getting their BFP this soon so think I was a bit influenced 🙈😅

Thanks hun @Hmmm22 I've had 4 miscarriages, and I've got a 3 year old girl. It's horrible to go through but I'm just grateful for what I've got tbh

Lol 5dpo is early isn't it. Best to wait it out & let the hormones rise. It's a nicer feeling when you get a dark line rather than squinting to see if it's there or not lol

I've had a really busy day today, so not had a chance to sit down n think about the itching lol after I posted on Mumsnet last night, I got up n had a shower cuz I thought this isn't going to let me sleep today. So felt better after it

Have you got anymore symptoms?xx

Hmmm22 · 16/12/2020 12:52

@Angelbabies4 oh wow 7dpo is early isn't it!! I'm so sorry for your loss, I can't even imagine what it feels like to go through that!

Are you still feeling all itchy today?? It could be hormones!

Well, I stupidly started testing at about 5dpo last cycle as I literally couldn't help myself, even though I knew I was being ridiculous. I just thought oh well what harm will it do haha. But this cycle I'm being more rational and I don't plan on testing until Sunday which will be 10dpo! Xx

Angelbabies4 · 16/12/2020 04:29

@Hmmm22 oooo sounds promising. Let's hope little bean is getting snug in there

With my last pregnancy I got a bfp at 7dpo which I would have thought was too early but the only reason I tested was because I usually hate sour cream pringles n the smell puts me off but I actually sat & enjoyed eating them which was really weird so thought let's test, n lo n behold there was a second line but with my luck I miscarried a few weeks later 🤦🏻‍♀️

This time I want to hold out till I notice something weird again & atm what's weird is being awake at this time which I normally never do. & my body feels so itchy, especially my belly button. 🤦🏻‍♀️🙁 Feels horrible. I want to sleep but can't get comfortable

Oh dear, how long has this post become lol sorry. But yeah I'll wait it out till AT LEAST 10dpo 🙊

How about you hun x

Hmmm22 · 15/12/2020 18:21

@Angelbabies4 so frustrating isn't it!

I'm about 5 dpo too. Yesterday I was having a weird cramping type pain that felt like it was in a V shape starting at the top of each hips if that makes any sense, and then today I had a pinching type feeling in what I imagine to be my uterus, but that went after a couple of minutes.

However, I had some pretty strange symptoms last month which made me suspect I was pregnant so I don't even know what to think at this point haha! Trying not to symptom spot, but you can't ignore how your body is feeling haha!

When do you plan on testing? Xx

Angelbabies4 · 15/12/2020 18:08

@Hmmm22 ahhh wouldn't that just be great?!
I absolutely hate that pregnancy symptoms & pms symptoms are exactly the same, like whyyy?!

I think I'm 4/5dpo. Had horrible cramps yesterday on left side of stomach and also my lower back was quite sore. I feel like my nipples are really sensitive n painful to touch. I've had this for a few days now so I assume it's the progesterone after ovulation 🤦🏻‍♀️
Again, whhyyy?!

How about you? X

Hmmm22 · 15/12/2020 17:53

How is everyone feeling? Wish there was a way for our body to give us an official yes or no during the TWW! Xx

Hmmm22 · 14/12/2020 10:58

@miracleatchristmas oh man that sucks, what bad timing!! I felt like the whole time we was focusing on dtd at the right time and then it being the weekend I didn't really think about how long away testing is!

AF is due Christmas Eve, but to avoid Christmas disappointment I think I'll test a little earlier and test on the 20th or 21st. Your peak OPK was the day after mine so we are on very similar timescales! SmileXx

miracleatchristmas · 14/12/2020 09:51

@Hmmm22 oh I feel your pain! I'm feeling the same. Was told yesterday by the NHS testing app that I'm required to self isolate for 10 days so going to find this extremely hard 😭🤣 not sure when I'll test really. I'm hoping I'll be able to hold out until 22nd! Xx

OP posts:
Hmmm22 · 14/12/2020 09:44

@miracleatchristmas I thought I was finding the two week wait ok, and now that it's Monday and I'm back at work I'm realising that it was probably feeling ok because it was the weekend and I was somewhat distracted!

When do you think you'll test? X

miracleatchristmas · 13/12/2020 21:44

I'm also in my TWW currently. I got my peak Tuesday just gone so not entirely sure when I'd have actually ovulated.

I’ve had 3 losses this year and we had one final try as we intend to take a break from TTC in the new year as it’s consuming me.

Period due 16 December and absolutely no symptoms, not even a twinge. So not hopeful but it’s the end of an era x
