@Emmgrem you're right and tbh I feel like if you were having an LH surge it would happen regardless of whether you'd had a green tea or not lol I just repeat advice I see others give I don't actually know anything 😂😂 I feel like you're having real bad luck with premom, I know they're expensive but maybe the CB ones would work better for you! Hopefully you won't need them though as hoping for a BFP for you of course!

@jessi60 9 weeks is probably a great time for a scan! I would have preferred to have had mine closer to 7/8 weeks but was so keen for a pre Christmas one. Just hoping it's late enough to catch a heartbeat for little one!

jessi60 · 16/12/2020 17:54

@Emmgrem I had the Wilko ovulation tests and used them for a couple of weeks and they were crap. They were little ones like the ones you have, not very wide and then the lines were always smudged so I bought the easy at home ones and they are a lot clearer and easier to read. Feel like the pre mom app works well with them.

I don’t know what went on that month to be honest🤣 On Cd 14 i had a high at 0.73 and then went it back down and the CD 20 I had one an in was 1.06 which is marked as the peak. So I’m assuming the second one was right. All very confusing! Xx

Emmgrem · 16/12/2020 17:21

@Bells20 yes tbf my afternoon pee is much more diluted. But there's no way I couldn't have a drink all afternoon 😬🤷🏻‍♀️ I swear I don't drink loads. One glass with breakfast, one with lunch, maybe 1 green tea during the day and 1 glass with dinner. That's literally all I drink! Always been told I need to drink more and all of a sudden it's like 'drink less, dehydrate yourself' 😂😂
Remind me why you shouldn't use FMU with OPKs? That would be so much easier!

And this is why I can't trust premom and cheapies... just took 3 photos one after the next and got 3 completely different results 🙈 definitely looks low though, but that initial reading got my hopes up that there might still be a chance this month. Still getting watery/EWCM and convincing myself I'm still feeling twinges down there so who knows..
@jessi60 it sounds like you ovulated quite late in the end after your body trying a good few times in the month?

Omg hearing your stories of how to tell people on Xmas day is giving me all the feels!! I can't wait to hear how it goes. I did envisage telling DH on Xmas morning with a wrapped up pregnancy test if I fell the first month. I know a friend who put it in a Xmas cracker on Xmas day and filmed her family's reaction - it was so cute! 🥰

I totally didn't realise how they date your pregnancy based on your last CD1 of AF. I always used to worry about that if I ever got pg on the pill as I never had AF and took them back to back. Little did I know how unlikely it probably was to get pg just from missing one judging by this 😂

Okay so the date I’ve picked makes me 9 weeks from the date of my last period. Hope it’s right! 😂Thanks for helping @AMS19 xx

AMS19 · 16/12/2020 15:26

@jessi60 they will go off the first day of your last period right up until your 12 week scan. They won't change it no matter what you tell them! Even if a private scan dated you differently! So it will be 8-10 weeks form the first day of your last period/withdrawal bleed. If you haven't had a period/withdrawal bleed then it is a different ball game!

jessi60 · 16/12/2020 15:23

I’ve just booked an appointment in. She said they do it between 8-10 weeks, I have no idea how to work out how far along I am though 😂 because it’s six weeks tomorrow since my last period. But then my test only said 1-2 weeks which I know is conception so you add another two weeks. Confusing! X

jessi60 · 16/12/2020 15:09

Ah okay thanks. Yeah I’ll ring get an appointment though. I might pay for an early scan but might wait until I’m about ten weeks cause I don’t know if they will see much at 6 weeks. Heard too many people worrying afterwards and then it all been okay xx

Bells20 · 16/12/2020 14:50

Hi @jessi60 I'll be 6+3, I did the same as @PowerOfFlowers and @GreenApplesYo. Got my booking appointment through a couple of days after self referring to the hospital. Mine is at 9 weeks so hopefully get my 12wk scan date soon after that.

GreenApplesYo · 16/12/2020 13:59

@jessi60 you'd probably have a booking in appointment first where they ask you loads of questions about your medication, living arrangements etc and also take blood and urine samples, weigh you etc. Mine was about an hour, but very straightforward. I got my 12wk scan date through the post a few days after my booking in. Is that what you meant? 🙂

PowerOfFlowers · 16/12/2020 13:56

I've just booked an 8 week scan for the 10th January too! We're going to hold off telling parents until after it, so we can make sure it's all ok.
@jessi60 - i phoned my GP on Monday to inform them I'm pregnant and then they asked which hospital I'd like to go with, and to then fill in a form on that hospital's maternity website. Waiting to hear back now 😀

jessi60 · 16/12/2020 13:45

@Bells20 How many weeks will you be when you have your scan?

When you refer to a midwife do you just wait until your 12 week scan or do you have to have some appointment beforehand? Xx

jessi60 · 16/12/2020 12:31

@DrS44 I’m confused myself to be honest cause I kept delaying my period on the app so it’s mucked the cycle up. I think my peak was CD 20 and had me down to ovulate CD 21. But I didn’t get my positive test until CD 39.
But I don’t know if that ovulation date was actually right as I had a peak earlier aswell 🤷🏻‍♀️ X

Dex1521 · 16/12/2020 10:54

Another update from me (surprise surprise) just went to the loo in work and when I wiped the second wipe had the tiniest amount of EWCM I would’ve missed it if I wasn’t knicker checking 24/7 but I was able to stretch it quiet far between fingers

Can you get it after ovulation? I’m only 1dpo today though so maybe it’s just leftovers that’s dropped out? If that makes sense 🤣

PowerOfFlowers · 16/12/2020 10:51

Awww that will be lovely @Bells20 ☺️
I'm originally from Wales and we were meant to go to my parents this year for Christmas, but we're staying in London now as it's too risky. I think if we were at my parents, I would have had to tell them as I do like a drink, and they would know straightaway 😂

Bells20 · 16/12/2020 10:48

My family are also big drinkers at Christmas, i'm just hoping I can get presents out of the way before the first drinks get brought out haha. I've got some little chocolates that spell out 'I can't wait to meet you' and I'm gonna put a picture of my early scan in there too and wrap it up for my parents. Really felt like tempting fate when I bought them so just hoping my scan next week does go well otherwise I'll have a fair bit of chocolate to eat!

It'll make me so happy to see a few more BFPs by the end of the year! Fingers crossed for you all!!

Dex1521 · 16/12/2020 10:04

I’m hoping to test around NYE or the 30th don’t want to do it too early so going to wait until around 14dpo I think we’ll I’ll try 😂

DrS44 · 16/12/2020 09:37

@jessi60 ooohhh! I thought you ovulated like CD21?! Fab thank you xxx

jessi60 · 16/12/2020 09:25

@DrS44 Yeah I had three negative tests. I did it on CD 27 a day before my period was due and it was negative but I think I ovulated on my second peak of that month and then I did it CD 37 which was still negative. And then got my positive on CD 39 so like 14 dpo? X

DrS44 · 16/12/2020 09:06

@AMS19 yeah exactly I would be spotted straight away! And as much as I'll probably tell my mam anyway I don't think I'd like to tell my extended family until it's confirmed 🥰 so I think the 26/27th is the most likely time I'll test 🌟xxxxx

PowerOfFlowers · 16/12/2020 08:24

Hello! 4.30am wake up over here 🙋🏻‍♀️ Fell back asleep around 6.30 though. I felt queasy early this morning, fine now.
We're not going to find out either @AMS19 😀 I feel like it's one of the only times you get a big surprise in life, but also, we don't care what it is as long as it's healthy and arrives safely 🤞🏻

AMS19 · 16/12/2020 08:19

@DrS44 awww yeah boxing day sounds perfect then 🙂 my family are such big drinkers i would have to test annoyingly as our Christmas's are drinking from 8am 😂😂

OP posts:
DrS44 · 16/12/2020 07:56

Oh and fab @AMS19 I'll keep an eye out for that line 🥰

DrS44 · 16/12/2020 07:56

@AMS19 hmmmmmm might ruin Christmas if it's negative though 🤣🤣 I'll have a think! We are going to the place we are getting married the day after so I feel like doing it there would be better anyways as we will be on our own and have the time and space to digest everything! Otherwise Christmas Day I'll either have to sit with my family all day (and I'll be seeing my aunts etc too) and try lie or try be happy when I'm raging 😅 I'll just drink a lot less than I would normally 🤣👏🏻🙌🏼 xxxx

AMS19 · 16/12/2020 07:46

@DrS44 when it is confirmed you'll get solid red lines like this.

Yeay just take a break from tempting and enjoy yourself. If j were you I would test Christmas day morning. If you'll be 12DPO and test with a FRER it will be like 98% accurate! I mean, look at @jessi60 there will always be a chance even with a BFN you could still be pregnant.

I would not take too many pictures of the same test while uploading to the premom app, just keep the quality one and focus on the trends of the LH progression.
