How are you getting on @DrS44 ? You must be gearing up to start testing opks?

Update from me - been feeling very 🤢 from 3pm most days and so so tired but its ok - I'm meant to be feeling like this. I have my first midwife app next week too - eek!! And a private scan a week Sunday. I'll be 8 weeks (or 9, depends which app you look at). Not sure if I'll manage to stay up to see in the new year tonight, but I will give it a good go!

Is it normal to have a 3day AF? This is my second time since coming of the pill I’ve only had 3 days of AF - two days heavy and painful then a really light final day. I thought this cycle would’ve lasted longer but by this evening AF is no where to be seen 🤔

I did my last clear blue digital this morning as I had one left over and got my 3+ 🤣 probably would of had a meltdown if it didn’t say that even though I’ve read they not the most accurate! 6 weeks today for me and it’s a week tomorrow until I get my other scan so just praying things work out okay. Xx

@Emmgrem yeah my headache and cramps have stopped after the first day and today is a lot lighter than when it started too. This morning I thought it had finished as it was just dark brown when I wiped but seems to be continuing for now. I’m CD 3 and last month AF had gone after 3 days so I kinda want her to stay a bit longer so it’s more textbook 😂.

I’m going to test this cycle with my premom OPKs but haven’t started temping or doing them yet going to wait a bit longer and start just before FF predicts my fertile window so probably about a week today I’ll start testing

3 dpo today, haven't given it a second thought- had the mother of all distractions- OH proposed yesterday morning!! 🙈🥰 so symptom spotting has temporarily been replaced with wedding spam😂😂
I'd say give me until about 7dpo, the novelty will have worn off and I'll be back to the craziness of it all!! 🙊

@GreenApplesYo that's a brilliant story about how your parents found out! I was really worried about all the Xmas food & drinks if I fell so I've definitely been over indulging as a treat to myself. And because of AF too!

@DrS44 Glad you are feeling more relaxed this cycle. I've either got to try full on with OPKs or not at all and I can't decide!

@Dex1521 AF is rubbish isn't it. I've had no clotting and no headaches this time though which I'm taking as a healthy sign. Crossing my fingers for a textbook cycle this time for both of us!

@Foxl2222 how's your 2ww, any symptom spotting or are you trying to keep chilled?

@DrS44 fingers crossed 🤞 for you this cycle it’s so good you’re relaxed about it I feel a bit more relaxed too after all that squinting I don’t wanna be doing it again so might make it easier for me holding on to POAS until after 10dpo.

I wish I had a light AF this cycle has been a nightmare so heavy and so painful but it’s technically my first one since I was about 13 as I’ve only had a WD bleed so it’s expected

Glad you got back over and we’re able to spend it together! Couldn’t think of anything worse after the year we’ve had

@DrS44 that's exactly what I did this month. Stopped taking any supplements and only tested for peak with opks. Try rd to just go with the flow a bit more. 🤞🤞for you this month.

@Dex1521 @Emmgrem so sorry you didn't get your BFP for Christmas but as ye said at least you have long luteal phases!

I'm on CD 9, had a 4/5 day very light period! Really hoping I ovulate earlier to give me some sort of a chance this month. As a POAS addict I haven't even had the chance to squint at a test and imagine lines with my stupidly short LP. I'm thinking of not taking any tablets at all this month and let my body sort itself out. Likewise I'm only going to test for my OPK peak so I know around when I'll ovulate. Everything else I'm going to take in my stride and if it happens it happens. Feeling even more laid back this month again. Just feel everything happens for a reason and when it's my time and when it's right it will happen!

@Dex1521 no my OH didn't make it over unfortunately but I managed to get back. Spent most of Christmas booking and changing and getting refunds for flights! Nightmare! But we are back together now! Missed him loads 😅

So... I broke the news to my parents today. Almost by accident haha. I was going to wait until after my scan next week. I met up with my Mum and Dad for a picnic (it was bloody cold for a picnic). My Mum had made the sandwiches. They were brie. She gave me one and I was like ooh brie, I love brie thanks! Was about to take a bite and then remembered oh shit I can't eat this! I sort of panicked and couldn't think of an excuse not to eat the sandwich, which was already half way to my mouth. Hahaha my poor Mum, hardly a cute reveal. It sounded so matter of fact 'oh, I can't eat this sandwich because I'm pregnant'. Then I had to keep saying please don't get too excited until we've had the all clear next week. They were pleased though 🙂 really bloody hope this scan is OK now!!

@Emmgrem glad she arrived swiftly for you. Mine was also a day early, not predicted to arrive until tomorrow. 34 days isn’t too bad for a cycle length I think between 25-35days is normal but I know personally I’d rather it be slightly longer than shorter as it’s heart breaking when you’re in the tww and AF shows early.

New cycle started for both of us - as last night was only spotting for me so recorded today as day 1 of AF

AF is here 👏 Day 34- 1 day before prediction.

Weirdly FF removed my crosshairs this morning when I added today's temp dip so I was wondering whether I ever ovulated in the first place. But now that I've confirmed AF it's added them back in 🤷🏻‍♀️ Not sure why..

Feeling grateful for my body today. Long luteal phase, no mood swings or as much pain as last month, no brown CM, and she decided to spare me Xmas day & Boxing Day - but will be over before the new year. Which means new year, new start, new cycle (cycle no.2) 🥳🤞

@Foxl2222 I’ve done it for a few years but thought I’m gonna keep going while ttc so that when I do get pg I’ll be eating a healthy diet and hopefully not out too much extra weight on lol. You can do slimming world whilst pregnant safely so if you’re wanting to join I’d go for it!

Oh @Dex1521 I've been half thinking about starting slimming world too, but then i keep telling myself hopefully I'll be pg soon so be a waste to lose weight 😂 what an excuse! There's probably people looking at me thinking I'm pg when really it's just carbs and chocolate lol

@PowerOfFlowers thank you - can’t wait to get this over with and into a new cycle and I’m definitely a lot more knowledgeable thanks to you girlies but still so much to learn 🤯 haha don’t I’ve eaten so much chocolate recently and actually planned to get back to slimming world healthy eating tomorrow but we will see how long that lasts this next week 😂

@Emmgrem I had cramps and a sharp pain on and off between 7dpo-10dpo (mostly on my left) then nothing after that and then AF just arrived tonight and I feel a bit achy from it. Hopefully she arrives for you soon then we can both get onto a new cycle 💃🏼✨ between coming off the pill and my WD it was 34 days and this second cycle was 27 days so bit of a difference and I hope it levels itself off to 28-30days

@DrS44 how are you? Haven’t heard from you recently - did your OH manage to get back. Hope you’re keeping well x

@Emmgrem I noticed that I had cramps at the beginning of the 2nd week, they then eased off and then came back with a vengeance the day AF made her arrival. I'd then have really bad cramps for two days. But, once I started using a Mooncup, the cramps on the day of AF eased a lot. Hope AF stays away for you, but if it doesn't, then the positiveness is you've had a great LP and a 34 day cycle. I was also 34 days. 🤞🏻 for you

@Dex1521 Gentle hugs to you! Plenty of rest for you next few days. And then... a brand new cycle! You've got so much more knowledge going into this cycle now than you did the last one - it will help you. In the meantime, chocolate is your friend 😀

No sign of AF here and no cramps now either which is weird as all leading up to testing I had pains in my right ovary and cramps 🤷🏻‍♀️ is that normal pms symptoms to start and then go away and come back??
It's been since I was a teenager that I had a natural one so I can't remember!

13dpo today- took a cheapie test this morning just incase but negative so just gotta hold out now, and like you said at least my luteal phase is a decent length! Just a 34+ cycle 🤔

AF has made her arrival 🤣 now to wait this out to get to the good part lol!

Wow that’s amazing I’ve never had a peak over 0.9 and test strip is just about as dark as C line😢 I’m hoping after I get AF this month I’ll be back to normal and get a higher surge as I’ll have had my WD bleed and First AF after the minipill

I actually had a huge surge after this, like 2.57 ratio, so that changed my Ov day to today. Meaning TWW now from tomorrow instead.
This is cycle 3 for me so 🤞 for third time lucky.
Already dreading the symptom spotting..although I have a week off work this week so will be lots of family time to distract from it 😂
I'll keep you updated!
