@Dex1521 good luck for this cycle! Think it's a good idea to have a break from Google/mumsnet etc if it's making you more stressed. Google definitely makes it too easy to over think everything.

Here's my scan from today. Waiting on blood results but all fine with the baby so I think the bloods will most likely be fine. Measuring 13+4, seems to have gained 3 days from the 9wk scan haha!

So decided I’m going to have a bit of time away from my phone during this cycle so today marks my first BBT reading of this cycle and later in the day going to start OPKs. Main reason I’m taking a step back is so I don’t become so obsessed with my temps or OPK readings and constantly asking questions which ultimately gets me more worried, and I’m hoping it’ll stop me googling stupid things too, that also get be worried. I feel a lot more relaxed this cycle so think it’s definitely going to help too. Fingers crossed for you all to get your BFP this month too 👶✨

@positivitytree2020 don’t get me started I saw Elle Darby, Mrs hinch and a girl I used to work with all announce them on the same night. It was Mrs hinch’s announcement that sent me over the edge and into a rage - I can’t stand the woman to begin with tbh I don’t even know why I followed her, a friend told me she talked about fertility problems in a book she wrote yet she has fallen pregnant within 18months of having the first one, I’m trying not to judge her but I just feel like she isn’t being honest somewhere and it’s just all for show she also did a big love actually themed announcement over her Instagram story which if it upset me I’m sure 100’s of other women were also upset too, the thread Greenapples shared yesterday was helpful as so many others felt the way I did over it. So I’ve unfollowed them all and it’s helped so much already not seeing constant baby updates.

I’ve also decided my “announcement” (whenever that may be) won’t be going on social media as I know how hurtful it can feel so I’m going to just tell people who should know face to face.

I’m glad you said that about the clearblue so I’m going to stick with ICs I think work better than anything after reading reviews etc and seeing the price of them 😵

Also @Dex1521 I know what you mean about celeb announcements! 😒 I’m in very too minds about it, obviously everyone has a right to announce their news the way they want, but I think announcements over social media are a bit inconsiderate, especially when you’ve such a big following, it could really be a trigger for someone watching! But then again it’s not up to them to be worried about how everyone else feels! 🤷🏼‍♀️
I’d never make an “announcement” having gone through it myself, just tell my close family & friends and leave it at that!

Do you follow Elle Darby? I saw her video and it actually made me so annoyed! 😂 she was talking about how stressful ttc was and how there was so much pressure on her etc etc, and she conceived in Cycle 2 after coming off pill? 😂 and I’m pretty sure it was actually Cycle 1 coz she was counting her first cycle as withdrawal one! I’m heading into Cycle 5? 😂 stuff like that annoys me! Best thing to do is unfollow! 😔

@Dex1521 don’t bother with the CB digital one, I used it the last 2 cycles! First cycle it work perfectly, a few days of flashing smileys and then the static peak smiley, which I also confirmed with the IC opks too!
I used it this cycle again, it gave me a few days of flashing smileys as usual and then got a peak smiley on CD15, but all my IC opks were telling me Low!
So absolute WASTE of money I was raging, cost me €40 and basically gave me wrong results!
I ovulated really late this cycle - somewhere between CD24-CD26 (wasn’t using IC’s after CD20 coz we were staying with family over Xmas and wanted to enjoy, so can’t pinpoint exact day).

But anyways, my point is it was totally wrong! 😢😢

@Emmgrem - yes, we told our parents on Christmas day. Even though it was early, we thought it was nice to share happy news in these very weird times. Plus, we're in London and our family are all up North and we haven't seen them in months 😢 They were very happy for us. I cried. My Mum cried. Hah!
@Dex1521 I just used the easy@home opks and tested at 4pm from day 8 onwards, then 11am and 4pm from day 12 onwards.

7 weeks today! (Or 8, depends which app I look at!!) I feel better but still nap for an hour in the afternoon and still beige city when it comes to food! Early scan next Sunday so hopefully they'll be able to tell me how far along I actually am.

Also meant to ask. Does/did anyone use the clesrblue digital OPK? I was thinking of getting one to use alongside the IC OPKs but I’ve heard stories of women only ever getting a flashing smiley then worrying they’re not ovulating/missed it? Any success stories with them here?

@jessi60 yeah I’ve removed them for now but hopefully I will get my BFP soon and can follow them again haha as I’m dead nosey 🤣

Can’t believe you’re nearly 7weeks! That’s amazing only feels like yesterday you got that BFP! Keep us all updated and hope all goes well for you at the scan

@DrS44 you’re completely right! I’m only starting too and need to remember that. Every month that goes by just feels like a lifetime though but I’m sure it’ll get easier as months go on

@Emmgrem I swear we are cycle sisters 😂 so strange ours both stopped and started. Funny I went on a long dog walk (like 6miles) and when I got home that’s when I realised it had restarted. So maybe it’s to do with exercising that sort of “shakes” the last bit out 😂 I’m starting BBT and OPKs tomorrow for this cycle. I definitely feel a lot more relaxed and have got OH to hide the FRERs I had leftover Incase the psycho comes out again this cycle 😂

@Dex1521 I agree, I think it can be hard to see all these pregnancy announcements all over. But your time will come and it will be so worth it. If it’s getting too much for you, just remove them from your socials, like celebrity’s etc. You don’t want it to effect you too much. Sending you lots of love. You’ve got youth on your side and only on the beginning of your journey 🥰

@Emmgrem Yeah I told my parents purely because I couldn’t get away with not drinking alcohol over Christmas! Would of liked to wait longer but at the same time would like the support of my mam if I was to ever need it. We got a cute like baby elephant toy thing from the white company and it was all gift wrapped lovely from them. And just said I had an early Christmas present for them. She was totally clueless 🤣 and then just burst out crying bless her. She still keeps saying it doesn’t feel real. But then I showed her that scan photo from 5 weeks which is just a blob 😂 and she kept it under the Xmas tree the loon haha. I have my 7 week scan on Thursday so hoping everything is okay🤞🏼

@Bells20 It’s strange feeling fine isn’t it. I feel like a couple of weeks ago I was dead tired but okay at the minute. My boobs are deffo still sore though. I’m doing nightshift at the minute and normally don’t eat much during the night but I’ve been starving on these ones! Xx

Oh and @Dex1521 I forgot to say, what happened to you with AF going away and then coming back randomly, has just happened to me!! CD5 there was nothing and today CD6 I went for a run and came back to AF having properly started up again! Bright red and everything.. so weird.
DH is most annoyed as he was hoping to DTD tonight haha

@AMS19 Sounds like you've been on a horrendous journey but staying positive which is lovely to hear. I don't even know what an MVA procedure is- I've never been into hospital before so the whole idea of the procedure involved whether it's MCs or labour terrifies me slightly. I've never so much as had a blood test in my life! You are so strong and brave to go through this Christmas with this hanging over you, I hope you still managed to enjoy the festivities and had support from your family or at least OH as I can't remember whether you had told them beforehand?
Looking forward to you coming back to join the ride again when you're ready 😘 We need all your wisdom

@Dex1521 Think it's totally normal to feel that way. Mrs Hinch's one got me because I watched it real time as just happened to be scrolling through stories so saw it all unfold and made me teary. I'm happy for her but also like 'oh wow I really want that' and how lovely it must have been to tell people at Xmas!

@Dex1521 I can see what you mean but personally I don't get jealous. Everyone has their own journey and I feel I'm at the very start of mine! I'm a true believer in everything happens for a reason so I try keep that in mind when I feel frustrated.

@GreenApplesYo thanks! Just feel like I never saw pregnancy announcements before ttc and now that we are ttc all I see is Pg announcements all over social media - I saw three last night!! I suppose I’m wanting what they’ve got so it’s really hard not too feel jealous. I’ll take a look at that thread thanks!!

Just popping in quickly to say happy new year! I'm making a conscious effort not to spend so much time on my phone while I'm on leave over Christmas so haven't been checking as regularly but glad to hear people are doing well.

@jessi60 I'm feeling the same as you, generally feel perfectly fine and barely a pregnancy symptom in sight! Can't help but worry about it but reassuring to have seen on various forums that some women just don't get as many symptoms eg nausea and things are still fine!

Does anyone else get annoyed when someone is announcing their pregnancy with baby #2 or 3 and I feel like I can’t even have 1 😡 since starting ttc I can’t help but get unbelievably jealous of it just seems to happen so naturally for some people. I know you never understand someone else’s journey or struggles but I still get so jealous

@PowerOfFlowers that’s good to hear you had a three day AF too but strange thing happened to me today I went about 12hrs from around 4pm last night to about 4pm today I had no AF even when I wiped so I thought it had finished. But this evening it’s back again! Only light but heavy enough to need a pad 😑 no sure what’s happening really

@AMS19 it's so nice to hear from you. Have been thinking of you and hoping you're OK. So sorry it's been such a dragged out process, awful timing just before Xmas. Really hope the next few weeks are straightforward from a physical point of view, and that you have space to mend. @PowerOfFlowers I’m feeling fine thanks. It concerns me a little that I feel okay though! My boobs are still sore. And I swear they won’t stop growing which isn’t ideal cause I have breast implants and did not want them any bigger. Like my zips on my sport bra keep popping open 😂 kind of terrified if they keep on growing!!
My midwife one isn’t until the 14th but should be 8 weeks by then.
