Your SA comment made me giggle too @8LPS 😂 hope you both get good news with your results, I’m sure you will do. It’s definitely “normal” that for some people it takes a longer time, and at the moment there’s no reason to believe otherwise. The TWW is the worst but sometimes I think it’s better to convince yourself it hasn’t happened this month because you almost prepare for it and start thinking ahead for next time, and if we’re wrong then it’s a nice surprise!

Currently 4DPO, already decided this isn’t the month for me because I still haven’t started BBT tracking so don’t really know if/when I’ve ovulated.. I will start soon though! Keep us updated on any symptoms ☺️

Thanks for letting me know about your bloods. I’m feeling content at the moment that there’s no need to investigate further but if it doesn’t happen in the next couple of months then I’ll speak to my GP again. I don’t see the harm in having it checked out, and then it might be a case of my partner having some further analysis too!!

Ovulation has supposedly been and gone recently so I’m now in the dreaded TWW @Rose2108! I say supposedly because I still haven’t started BBT tracking so don’t actually know for sure when it is 🙈 your predicament with telling parents is probably something a lot of couples go through, I can see both sides but hopefully you manage to come to a compromise where you both feel happy! Thank you for explaining your medication and the reason for your blood test.. I think it’s something I’ll look into in the next couple of months if we’re still not successful. How are you feeling? Hopefully you hear from the maternity unit soon but if not I think giving them a call on Friday is a good plan!

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but what contraception were you ladies using prior to TTC? I was taking the combined pill which I stopped 9 months ago, 3 months before TTC. Has anyone heard about problems with taking longer to conceive because of it? I was taking them for about 8 years.. Might be something else to discuss with my GP!

JLP256 · 09/03/2021 12:19

Hey, how is everyone? Anyone nearing ovulation/AF (or hopefully BFP :))?

@KerryW87 it’s not ridiculous at all, I can’t imagine how difficult that would be to go through. It’s completely understandable that you want to make sure he’s remembered and I’m sure your family feel the same. Hope you’re feeling ok today! Also I love the skateboarding pic, what a lovely way to spend time with your son :)

@Rose2108 agree that’s a tricky one with telling people, especially parents, I think DH and I would have similar arguments to be honest! I think only do what you are comfortable with at this stage but I know it’s a tough balance! Any word from maternity unit?

So I’m on CD31, cycles normally 28/29 days but I didn’t really pick up ovulation as usual this month. I’m thinking either it happened late so AF is due later this week or I didn’t ovulate which I think is a thing?! So either way I’m waiting patiently (ish)...

KerryW87 · 08/03/2021 14:48

@Rose2108 Ahh it's such a tough one! I can totally see why you want to tell your parents - I would be stressed too if I saw them regularly and couldn't say anything! I also get why you don't see the same urgency to tell his parents since you don't see them often! However, I do see why he'd be so excited to tell his parents? I know it's not ideal to tell people before you feel relaxed and excited...hopefully you can both come to an agreement! It's nice that he's so excited though and probably just wants to share it with close family? My partner was DYING to tell all his friends last year, he could barely cope so we did tell both sets of parents otherwise I think he would've exploded 😂

I'm 8dpo just now but feel the same as I always do so sure I'll be onto cycle 9 😂

After J's due date passed in December and counselling finished I've been feeling loads better but I had a bit of a down morning 🙈 It's been almost a whole year since J ever existed, and I just felt this panic that everyone in his family is going to forget about him. I know it's ridiculous - they never met him and we have one and soon to be two new babies in the family, I can't expect people to think of a baby they never met and life does go on. I think I just can't believe we're almost a whole year on already, time just flies past. Think I'll order nice flowers to take to his memorial tree next month and then just...try and snap out of it 😂

@8LPS Ahh that's great you've both had your tests done then! So good to just get some clarity on where you are and if there's anything you can try! Fingers crossed everything will be perfectly normal as I'm sure it will be! 🤞 Yeah, for now just keep trying unsupported and if still not pregnant by July they'll refer us to a fertility clinic. Fingers crossed it doesn't get to that point!

@AKcheer It is THE BEST finally being able to make plans, isn't it? 😂🎉 Glad the calendar is busying up! Hope you had a good weekend! xx

Rose2108 · 08/03/2021 10:26

Morning Ladies. How are we all? Anyone's ovulation on the horizon!?

Still nothing from maternity unit, I'll probably call up on Friday just to confirm the process if I have still not heard anything, as I will be over 6 weeks then (hopefully!).

We're already starting to disagree on things LOL. I am at the point where I need to tell my parents. I see them basically every day for walks and talk to them daily too. As I am feeling quite unwell and have a lot of normal anxieties the pregnancy is on my mind a lot, and I have to stop myself from saying things when I am with them. However, husband says if we tell them, we have to tell his parents too. We rarely speak to his parents who live quite far away. I like them a lot but just feel I would like to share this news after 12 weeks when we are v. excited and not cautious and nervous, as we are now. He doesn't see my view on it at all. Maybe I am being unreasonable; but I feel like telling them because he doesn't want them to feel left out is silly! It will be a case of saying "It's really early, please don't tell anyone, we have a way to go before we can get excited", and I just don't want it to be like that. Hey ho.

That's exciting @Lynne425, I am hoping your cycles will be back to normal soon.

@KerryW87 love the pic! You look like a pro! And delighted your bloods were normal too.

@AKcheer We have quite a few things cropping up too! Have been invited for a week away in October and had to turn it down... ! Its lovely to have things to look forward to isn't it.

@BumbleB1 due to my short luteal phase, I was taking a vitamin B complex (which has folic acid in it) and vitamin C. I also took agnus castus to help regulate my cycles as my ovulation was all over the place. Lastly, I had been taking Omega 3 for ages. I've now stopped taking everything and just switched to the pregacare pregnancy supplements :)

My GP suggested the bloods as I had called them in June last year re a really bad 12 day AF, and Sept re a late AF with a BFN. I spoke to them again in Jan re my late ovulation, and they suggested I go get the bloods done. They knew we had been TTC for 9 months.

@8LPS haha that made me chuckle re the SA! I am good thanks, how are you getting on? You are right that it has not sunk in yet really! Lazy days are definitely needed every now and then. Saturday was manic with cleaning and DIY so yesterday all we achieved was a walk and a roast dinner! The rest of it was spent on the sofa! I also cut his hair which was... interesting lol.

Now that I have told 2 friends it is a bit easier, and I haven't found myself heading to the forums, as I have been able to ask them questions instead.

The conceive plus we used was the fertility lube, not the tablets :) If it makes you feel better, I am 31, a little overweight, with bonkers ovulation and hormones. My husband is 36, he has just given up smoking in 2021 but drinks at the weekend still (he said lockdown is too bleak without beer). We both eat really well but also love to indulge!! Definitely not specimens of health but we got there!!

8LPS · 07/03/2021 18:08

Heyyy everyone, sorry I've been away for a little while! I've been procrastinating lol! I hope you are all ok? What's everyone been up to this weekend?
I had my second bloods appointment on Thursday and hubby gave in his SA on the same day! I asked him to be gentle with the cup, and asked him if he bought the cup a dinner and a movie before he violated it :'D LOL Unfortunately he has to wait 10 days for the result! Re. My bloods, if I haven't heard anything within a week, that means everything is ok. But I was advised to call in a week anyway. I will keep you posted.

@BumbleB1 – I'm ok thank you, how are you?? I'm currently 10DPO, but I haven't noticed anything unusual unfortunately so I don't think it's happening this month again :( If AF comes, then it'll be one whole year that we've been trying. Getting so impatient and frustrated with it all now! But I'm just tryyyying to stay realistic that this is normal, and just trying to keep my mind occupied. Whereabouts are you in your cycle?
Don't be silly, it's ok to ask questions! I feel the same, feel like I'm lost every time I reply to everyone haha!
I had my bloods taken to investigate due to not conceiving yet! I think I remember you saying that you have been trying for 6 cycles now? Do you think you'd want to get bloods done? That's kind of annoying that your GP said that to you because there are other girls on this forum who have had their bloods done well within one year. I stayed away from going to the GP until about a month ago because I thought they'd turn me away, but I wish I 'd got the ball rolling sooner after seeing that the other girls here had done it sooner rather than later. I wonder if you could persuade your GP to let you do it?

@Rose2108 – How are you? Aw so glad you had a nice day off the other week! I was off last Mon and Tue, and because I had spent all day Sat and Sun cleaning the house, I was a right slob couch potato on the Mon and Tue :D
So it sounds like reality hasn't really hit yet? Yeah I can imagine that when you tell more people and actually have the main appointments it'll feel more “official”! :)
Oh dear, I can totally see why you didn't want to hang around in those other pregnancy forums! :( it's not the most reassuring/encouraging thing you want to see all the time! Maybe you could start your own pregnancy chat that specifies NO MC talk! And of course you can talk to us as well! Oh that's a really beautiful idea to tell them on Mother's Day! :) How's hubby feeling about it all??
Thank you about the ago thing...me and hubby just always thought that we don't want to be “old” parent, and we were probably being really naïve but we didn't expect it to take more than a year. Wow having a first at 42 is amazing given that there's more potential complications etc!
I've started taking Conceive Plus probably about 3 weeks ago. They're so expensive, but those amazing reviews made me do it haha! Is that what made you get them as well?
Murder Mystery sounds so great!!! I think I might look into that – and if it's for charity as well then even better!
YES it is bloody freezing! The hot water bottle is glued to me at all times haha! I need sun!

@KerryW87 – Bless you, it's full steam ahead! How are you getting on?? I'm so glad everything came back normal! Is there a next step that the Dr has given you, or is the plan to keep trying without their support for now?

@Akcheer – Glad you're doing well, I'm ok too thank you, trying to stay occupied! Now that I've been off those Seven Seas tablets for about 3 weeks, I can definitely say for sure that those annoying, awful symptoms I was having were 100% down to the tablets. Conceive Plus has made me feel back to myself again – yay!
OMG I will take on this Chinese belief if it means I feel a little better! I'm 10DPO and if AF comes, then it'll officially be one whole year since we started trying! Thank you for your positive words, I'm so glad that we have each other to rant to! It's hard to stay positive, and I feel like I'm seeing so many pregnant people all over social media, and I'm getting sick of it cus I want it to be my turn too!
Go you with your social calendar! What kind of things have you arranged? I haven't arranged anything yet cus I'm nervous it'll all fall through! I'm getting antsy for things to get back to normal, just can't wait!

BumbleB1 · 07/03/2021 15:57

The weather has been cold here too but definitely getting better, nice to see the sun make an appearance every now and then! Here’s to brighter and warmer days to come ☀️🤞🏼

Great to hear your bloods have come back all fine @Rose2108. Yes worth giving things a go isn’t it, what vitamins were you taking? I’ve been taking seven seas folic acid but no idea if they’ve made a difference! Fermometer seems to be a favourite so I looked into it, doesn’t seem to be much different to the app I use currently so will probably stick with this one for now but thank you, it’s good to know there are other recommended options. Hahah yes that’s literally what I’m planning to do, I usually wake briefly when my partner goes to work so will do it then and have a bit more of a sleep before I have to get up myself!

@KerryW87 aw yeah that’s so lovely isn’t it! Hopefully we’ll all be celebrating one by one, and will be nice to hear of all the positive stories and advice everyone can share 🥰 that’s exactly it, I’m trying to have a much calmer approach this month, it will be what it will be and will happen for me when it’s my time! And each BFN is a step closer to my time 😊 great to hear your bloods are all good as well!

Can I ask if those who have had blood tests did so because there was a particular reason/symptom or if it was just investigating due to not conceiving yet? I’m wondering if it’s something I should be talking about with my GP? Last time I mentioned it he said they wouldn’t really investigate unless we had been TTC for a year?

Yes definitely spreading positivity to this group for more BFPs @AKcheer! Our time will come and hopefully very soon 💞 how exciting that you’ve got some plans to look forward to! I can’t wait for life to get back to “normal”, and it’s looking like there’s a light at the end of the tunnel.. finally!!

Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend xx

AKcheer · 06/03/2021 18:17

How’s everyone!!
@KerryW87 it’s always good when it goes quick in the TWW!! Yeah seen one! Offered and waiting - several other people have offered too so it’s another waiting game hahaha! That’s so much fun going out skateboarding with your son!! That’s so nice!! I’m so glad to hear your bloods are normal!!! So everything’s ok so hopefully this month is your month!! It will happen ❤️❤️

Yeah @BumbleB1 I think everyone has been trying for a similar amount of time!! Hopefully we will get way more bfps! I just hope this is a lucky month for us! I’m sure our time will come soon!!

@Rose2108 it is is bloody freezing! Even today. Just went outside and did some skipping...it’s so cold!!! Ahhh that’s good!! Glad your docs have given you some reassurance you’ve done the right thing! Why does this stuff get complicated lol
Yeah it’s nice and handy!! aww that will be nice!! Greece will be beautiful and hopefully you can go!!! And a wales staycation will be really good too!!! Ahhh that will be exciting ❤️❤️❤️ You will need to keep us updated!

@Lynne425 that’s good news!! How are you!!

So guys my social calendar for April, may, June is getting so crazy!! It’s so exciting!

Happy Friday, everyone!

@Rose2108 You're right, it is FREEZING! We're in March...outraged at the lack of spring weather 😂 Ahh that's great your bloods came back normal...even better though that you didn't even really need to know since you got your positive! 💕🎉 Glad you're keeping ok too!

Haha yeah, it's the LAST thing I thought I'd be taking up in my thirties but if I'm honest it's fantastic! I'm still pretty crap 😂 but enjoy trying to brave big ramps etc...my son made me do this one and I was actually so touched about how happy he was and cheering me on when I did it! Don't have many years left where he wants to hang out with me so I'll take it 😂💕

@BumbleB1 Totally! Keeps me going on down days knowing I have the girls on this thread to vent to with no judgment! Hopefully before long we'll all be graduating from venting to celebrating! 🤞💕 Aw I'm sorry, it totally sucks when it doesn't work out but it's totally true to think of it as being one step closer to the month it does work!

So re. my bloods....all came back normal! 😄 So relieved and makes me feel a bit more positive that it's just been bad luck the past 7 cycles and it'll happen at some point! 🤞

Lynne425 · 04/03/2021 20:15

Hey Ladies

Yeah I'm freezing today too @Rose2108 but it was only 3 degrees out so maybe something to do with it lol

Well I'm having cramping on my left hand side tonight two weeks after my procedure which I'm hoping is a good sign that it's possible ovulation 🤞🏻🤞🏻 so hopefully I'm on the right road!!Xx

Rose2108 · 04/03/2021 14:18

Gals... Is anyone else absolutely FREEZING?!! I live in a really old house but the heating is on... I have actually moved my wfh setup so I can sit next to a radiator! I have a hot water bottle on the go and a blanket!! Lol.

As an update from me, I realised I never got my blood test results from my day 21 bloods. So I phoned up and spoke to a really nice lady who said a DR had checked the results and they were all "as expected, no action". So I basically told her I had a positive test and wasn't sure what to do. She said what I had done so far (contacting my hospital) was correct as they will now contact the GP to get my medical history and contact details.

Ah yes @Lynne425 I remember the wedding now, and her pregnancy! Thank you so much for the info. I have filled in the form online so I think I will wait until I get to six weeks (next week), and then call the maternity unit if I haven't heard back.

@jules5232 Thanks for that, I think I will book a private one at around 10 weeks so that my husband can come, as he isn't allowed at the 12 weeks where I am (at the moment anyway). I am glad you are feeling good, weird re food aversion! I have the opposite haha, but I am a few weeks behind. It is mad how different everyone's symptoms are. I have told a few friends now, waiting a few more weeks before I tell family. I stayed away from Dr Google all day yesterday and feel so much better today!

@KerryW87 Hey lovely, back to the chaos ! Lol. I am doing well thank you. Hope the pineapple works for you!! I am keeping everything crossed for you! Do you think you got the peak this month? Also can I just say the skateboard thing is sooo sweet. I bet your son loved that. Let us know re bloods, feeling very optimistic for you though!!

@AKcheer That's so good you have a holiday home in the family! I am supposed to be going to Greece early June but I doubt it will happen. If it was safe / allowed we would defo go, but just unsure. I think we might book a little break to Wales in September to visit friends as its a nice drive, and so beautiful! I am feeling much better today, less anxious, more relaxed! And will defo keep you posted, going to book a scan in five weeks time which feels like an eternity... House hunting sounds fun!! And getting back into the the zone with your exercising!

@BumbleB1 - So true, I think when you struggle to TTC, you feel a bit helpless and will do anything to help. It might well be we would have conceived without it, who knows? But worth a try! I was rattling the amount of vitamins I was taking!

Re BBT, I used the app called femometer. Lots of people said they didn't like it, but I preferred it to fertility friend. I just used to literally wake up and pop it straight under my tongue even if I was half asleep. Then just update the app and sometimes... go back to sleep! lol x

BumbleB1 · 04/03/2021 09:56

Might have to look into the chocolate tasting @Rose2108 it sounds right up my street 🤤 And I’ll definitely be organising the murder mystery, thanks. Aw bless! I think my grandpa would’ve liked that as well if he was still around!

Thanks for letting us know about the lube, might be another thing to look into. Isn’t it funny (or annoying?🤔) how there are all of these things we try to do to fall pregnant, like laying still or with our legs in the air, different positions, pineapple etc. and yet for some people it happens by mistake!!! How are you feeling at the moment? Do you think you’ll book a private scan? I know I wasn’t in the position to be thinking about it last month but I did also think about what I would do if I had a BFP and decided I would want to tell my parents on Mother’s Day, yes it’s a bit early but like you say it would be nice to have their support from that point onwards either way, I think go for it 😍

Hi @KerryW87 It has been so helpful already, and it’s lovely to see how you girls are supporting each other! Haha I know what you mean, even just reading some of this thread made me think “phew, it’s not just me then!” 🤣 I’m doing okay thank you, last month I had the disappointing BPN but I’m looking ahead and trying to stay positive and calm! How are you? Hope the TWW goes quickly, and that you enjoy the pineapple lol!

Looks like a lot of us have been trying for a similar amount of time @JLP256 which is nice ☺️ I’m on cycle 6 now. I might look online and see if there are any more tips with tracking BBT because it seems like it can be quite difficult.. If I find anything I’ll let you know!

KerryW87 · 04/03/2021 08:03

@AKcheer Haha I know! Honestly feels like the days are zooming past me which is a good thing for the TWW but not great at catching up on this 😂 Ohh exciting! Have you seen any potential ones? I envy your motivation for exercise! 💪

I do love cycling and also (don't laugh) after I lost wee J last year I started letting my son teach me to skateboard as a wee bonding thing for us/thing to keep my mind busy so we do go out and skate a few times a week haha...but not exactly as effective as gyms and weights! 😂

@jules5232 Glad to hear you're doing ok! Minus the hating most foods...I was like that year and it was a total pain! Hopefully it eases off the further along you get! How many weeks are you now?

I finally get my blood results this afternoon guys, hoping for good news 🤞🤞

AKcheer · 03/03/2021 22:37

Lol I forgot to go onto page 2 everyone!!! How is everyone!?

@Rose2108 I’ve got some conceive plus lube so I will try that!! Thanks! I only lay for 15 mins so il double it!!! When are you going to get a scan? Do you think you’ll get an early one and how you feeling?
Aww that’s a bit disheartening that the pregnancy forums were overwhelmed with mmc. You need to stay zen right now! I mean don’t leave us!! Keep talking to us haha!! And you can advise us when hopefully this month we all get positive news!!!

Haha @KerryW87 exactly like me! I been so busy but I’ve caught up over the past couple days!!! How you doing?

I hope I haven’t missed anything guys!!!

OP posts:
AKcheer · 02/03/2021 20:37

Hey everyone!! Omg I’m catching up so there will probably be 2 posts from me!! I haven’t come on this for a few days I been so busy!! So weekend was busy and were house hunting for a new house which is exciting and was just sorting Mother’s Day presents out etc! I’ve also started a proper fitness routine as gyms are opening soon and tbh I slowed some of my fitness down because of TTC but I’m back on it now :) it makes me feel good!! So back to weights and skipping!! Woo

How’s everyone doing?

Oh man @Lynne425 hopefully it takes the sooner rather than latter to get AF back to normal. I know what you mean, but just take it easy and whenever you’re ready ❤️

@Rose2108 Awww yeah. It will be amazing when you do tell everyone though! So how you feeling about holidays abroad? Technically from June 17th I think we can go abroad...I don’t think I’m going to book anything. Think we will do UK breaks maybe and then city breaks if we can and not travel too far in Europe! My uncle has a villa in Spain and my mom dad are planning to go after all this so I might fly out for a few days but we will see! I bet it was so nice to see those words “pregnant” ahhh what an amazing feeling! I have an escape room online on Friday...hope my team win!

@JLP256 me too! And AF has gone now woo!! I’m just going to stick to UK breaks and maybe in sept/Oct look for city breaks in Europe to be honest! I’m just glad we can go out and about have some stuff booked for when lockdown eases!!

@8LPS hey girl! I’m good thanks how are you? I know thank god it came, it was normal and it’s gone LOL! Now I can focus on my fertile window hahahaha and start this journey AGAIN!!! Ohh ive seen those tablets too!! I think I’m going to give another go to the seven seas as I have one pack left and then see what happens!!! If they are weird this month then I might swap onto conceive plus too :)
don’t feel like that!! You’re still young and it will happen! I think we panic I mean I know we do but we have to take it easy. We can’t put a target and a date on this stuff! 33 is also young!!! I saw some Chinese thing on tok tok it randomly came up and the Chinese don’t believe in decreasing infertility in 30s so let’s just follow that LOL
We will absolutely get there - it’s a long journey for us (not as long as other though) but we are getting closer!! I’m ok I’m back into my fitness routine and just feel so busy right now!!

Going to check next page in a little bit guys then will reply lol

JLP256 · 02/03/2021 18:54

@BumbleB1 hey! I’m on cycle 9 now TTC #1. I tracked BBT for a month, it stressed me out a bit haha but this month I think I missed ovulation with OPKs so I might pick it back up next time just to confirm dates!

@KerryW87 welcome back! Gosh sounds like a hectic time, hope you’re ok! I really need to get on the pineapple train.

@Rose2108 it’s understandable that you’d feel anxious. Hopefully you’ll feel better once you have dates for appointments etc! Did you get anywhere with the doc this morning?

jules5232 · 02/03/2021 13:44

@KerryW87 lol that pineapple core is awful but I still think it helped! You have so much going on. Getting back in the groove will hopefully make the TWW fly this month! I have been feeling good so far, I could sleep all day and hate most foods but otherwise I feel the same as always. Makes it very hard to believe it's real.

@Rose2108 I think having us wait 12 weeks for a visit to ask all of our questions seems unreasonable. I was the exact same way and it still doesnt really feel like it's real even though I have seen it on the ultrasound. It makes for a lot of anxiety. When I called my situation may have been different because they also said to wait until around 12 weeks, but then I had a lot more spotting and heavy cramping on one side. They got me in for a scan to make sure everything implanted correctly. I think Lynne's suggestion to try your local maternity ward sounds like a good idea, but also if you need some reassurance to help with any anxious thoughts then maybe try to book a private scan. I would have booked one if I didn't have any issues. I also tried out one of the pregnancy boards and understood when I read your comment. I went on one a couple times but the personal stories and mentioning mmcs with each post made me so anxious that I won't go back. I know it's always a possibility but it was making me expect the worst which isnt helpful. I did tell a couple friends immediately though since I knew I would want them to know about any loss, and it helps to have someone to message or call when I need to chat.

KerryW87 · 02/03/2021 12:36

@Lynne425 @Rose2108 @AKcheer @8lps @jules5232 I have been MIA for ages (back to work plus extra shifts, uni and homeschooling my two..lord have MERCY how did I ever cope pre-lockdown? 😂😂) and don't even know where to start catching up on all that I've missed! So just checking in to say hi and how are you all? :) @Rose2108 Hope you're keeping ok too!

@BumbleB1 Hi! Glad you've joined this thread, it's really been such a help to have these girls to talk to during the ups and downs of TTC 💕 Makes you feel less crazy too! 😂 How are you?

I'm now 1DPO so off to Aldi after work for a pineapple 😂🤞 xx

Lynne425 · 02/03/2021 10:49

@Rose2108 also I had to call my local maternity unit to set up my pregnancy appointments etc.

They took some details and asked me to download an app on my phone. I then got a email with my passcode and then I answered a big and very personal questionnaire.

After that a local midwife called me (around the 4/5 week mark) to book me all in and arranged for blood tests etc.

So my advice is call your local maternity ward and ask your questions and what to do next there 💕💕 xx

Lynne425 · 02/03/2021 10:44

Morning @Rose2108

Yeah I booked a private scan at what should have been 7 weeks as my sister was supposed to get married the following weekend and I wanted to be able to tell my sisters/mum why I wasn't going to be drinking! The wedding ended up being postponed anyway!

However it was obviously booked for a reason at least I managed to get things going without waiting until the 12 week scan to find out!xx

OMG sorry the essay, make a cuppa first !

Morning Ladies,

@Lynne425 Lol, I do that sometimes, and read my messages back and think I just said the same thing! Our minds in TTC are all over the shop, it is such a rollercoaster isn't it. Can I ask, you early scan, was that 6 weeks? Did you book it privately?

@JLP256 Thank you :) how are you?

@8LPS Thanks! I had a lovely day off on Friday, just nice to break up the routine of WFH life. I do that with my phone too, or end up on instagram!

I don't know tbh. I feel quite odd, like it isn't happening? The fact we haven't barely told anyone, and I haven't been able to speak to a Dr or anything, I don't know what I expected really but just feels odd now that your body takes over and you have no clue what is (or isn't?!) going on in there... I have to tell myself millions of people have babies all the time and I found out really early so bound to take some time for things to happen....

I briefly went over to the pregnancy forum on here and I don't think I will do that again. I do understand it is good to share experiences but every post I read seems to be people saying "I have 3 MC's before this", or "just had a MMC" or something. I know it is real and you have to be aware of it but just makes me feel like something is bound to go wrong. As you say, best to be present in the moment and try to be positive! It's a bit cliche but my current thinking is to tell my mum and dad on mothers day, I will be 6 weeks by then. And if I had a loss after that I would tell them anyway. Probably keep it under wraps until then.

Also, try not to worry about your age, I know it is easier said than done but more and more people are having kids in their 30's. A lady at work just had her first and she's 42. You still have alot of time. I will hopefully be having a second when I am about 33/34!

@jules5232 - Can I ask, did you have a private Dr? I called yesterday and the women on reception was so unhelpful and said "You need to register the pregnancy online" - Had no idea what she meant or where! And haven't told any friends who live near me! I managed to figure it out online (have to register through closest hospital), but I want to talk to a GP to ask some Qs re medication I have taken and also my low iron. Just feels weird that a little plastic test says positive and then that's it? You just sit and wait for 12 weeks?! When I did the online form it said "someone will be in touch, this may take up to six weeks" ... I will be 11 weeks then!! The whole thing is making me feel a bit anxious, I just want to talk to someone for reassurance. Trying to phone this morning but have been on hold for 20 mins...

The choc tasting was lovely ladies! It was hotel choc and they sent a box to the house and then did a zoom session! @BumbleB1 We did the macmillan murder mystery, it was good fun! And have done the horse racing night too with my grandad bless him!

The one thing I think I forgot to mention ladies is that we used conceive plus this cycle, the fertility lube. Not the ones you insert into you but just the tube of lube. We just used a really small amount when we DTD the day before and after peak ovulation. Who knows if it made a diff, but it's the first time we used it, plus pinpointing ovulation with sticks and bbt. And also, seems obvious, but laying still for half an hour afterwards. xx

Hi girls, hope you all had a lovely weekend. The weather around here was so lovely ☀️

Thank you for introducing me @Rose2108, it’s great to hear about all of your experiences and advice. Congratulations to those who have had BFP! Aww I would’ve been the same, I guess it’s hard to know when the right time is but imagine how amazing it will be when you do!

Zoom chocolate tasting sounds fab, how did it go? I did an online escape room through Macmillan and it was better than I expected, some of it was quite difficult too and I like a challenge! Would definitely recommend. They also do quiz nights and murder mystery which we’re going to try next.

@AKcheer that’s a great attitude to have! Yeah I’ve heard this, so frustrating though but just got to accept it and keep trying. Aw that’s how I’m starting to feel, it’s like everyone around me are having babies (some of them not even planned!) and I’m like when’s my turn!! Yes keeping my fingers crossed for all of us 🤞🏼🥰 okay thank you, will look into it.

Hey @Lynne425 I’m new to group and have tried my best to catch up.. just wanted to say I’m so sorry to read about what you went through 😔 it sounds like you’ve been doing really well and are in a good place at the moment though 💗 Sending you positive vibes for the next part of your journey.

Hi @JLP256 👋🏼 Yes thank you, glad to have found a lovely group to join. Not yet, my thermometer hasn’t arrived 🙄 but hopefully it will this week! Have you tried it? How are you? Where are you on your TTC journey?

@8LPS hey, thanks! Haven’t started yet as my thermometer hasn’t arrived 🤦🏻‍♀️ But will hopefully start at some point this week. Ah yeah it sounds like you have to be quite precise on when you do it, will see how I get on!! Thank you very much! How are you? How are you getting on with TTC? I read that you’re in your TWW, I hope you get the news you want!

Sorry if I’m asking lots of questions, I get lost with who is who and it’s so nice to hear what stage everyone is at!

Good morning all, I hope you’re all well acc has a lovely weekend? ♥️

@BumbleB1- welcome to the crew! How are you getting on so far with taking BBT? I tend to forget until I’ve moved around and by then it’s too late, which isn’t helpful! 🤦‍♀️ you’ve said it’s your fertile week this week, so good luck!!

@Rose2108- oh bless! Yeah I can understand why you’re having those thoughts, it must be difficult to just go with the flow since you’ve been TTC for a while now.. but staying in the present can help so much! Did you have a nice day off the other day? I’ve got today and tomorrow off and it feels great to have an extended weekend! Haha I’m the same when it comes to WFH 🙈 I have to put my phone on the other end of the room so that I don’t keep picking it up! 😁
Haha that’s so funny! I barely wouldn’t have been able to keep it from my Mum either! 😂 do you know when you might tell? Or how you do it?
How was the team chocolate tasting?? 😋 🤤

@AKcheer- hey how are you doing? It must feel so weird that you’ve actually been wanting AF to come this month!
I really don’t know of it’s the tablets you know.. I haven’t been taking the Seven Seas tablets for nearly a week now, and usually by now (currently in my TWW) I would’ve been suffering with all sorts of symptoms. The only symptom I’ve had is boob ache. I’ve been taking Conceive Plus tablets since Friday and touch wood haven’t experienced any weird symptoms so far (apart from weird coloured wee 😂).
I’m ok thank you, in my TWW and trying to stay active and busy! It might be a psychological thing, but since stopping those tablets I haven’t had my usual “ooh I just felt something in my stomach, maybe I’m pregnant!!!” symptom spotting kind of thoughts and I’m really loving it. I woke up this morning feeling really worried about how it’s about to be an entire year since we started trying and I’m just feeling like I’ll probably be 40 before I have my first kid - not that there’s anything wrong with that of course! But I’m going to be 33 in July and I’m shitting myself that I’m getting older and therefore my chances of conceiving naturally are slowly diminishing because I’m getting older 🥺
How are you feeling now?

JLP256 · 27/02/2021 21:53

@Rose2108 massive congratulations on your digital BFP, must be amazing to see it in writing! So excited for you 💕

@Lynne425 really glad the procedure went ok and hope AF comes soon for you 😊

@BumbleB1 welcome! Hope you’re ok. Have you started with the BBT tracking yet?

@AKcheer glad your normal AF arrived and you can focus on your next cycle. I’ve not got any holiday plans but hoping to at least have a UK break over the summer. Would love some proper sun though! Have you got anything booked?

Hope everyone is well and has been enjoying some nicer weather x

Lynne425 · 27/02/2021 12:43

🙈🙈 just read that message back and realised I wrote happened like 3/4 times - think I'm needing to go out a nice long walk. My head is mush lol x
