@AKcheer I am just so sad / frustrated for you. Just seems you are doing everything right! Totally normal to have a wobble when she arrives. I think the internet can be a dangerous place and I would probably be inclined to believe the GP as they have no reason to lie? But perhaps you can get a follow up appt and talk through the info you have found? I totally get that powerless feeling! It is so hard.

@KerryW87 Haha that is so funny, apparently I am going to ovulate on valentines day Grin. I need to have a word with myself because I haven't worn makeup for about two weeks and am in a tracksuit for a third day! Whoops. Don't worry people, I still wash daily haha. Re the cycle mess, yes I do agree weirdly when I felt like I figured out I ovulate so late, something kind of clicked and I felt very relaxed. It explained alot. Felt like I was starting from day one again!

@JLP256 I am with you on that, on my wedding day my FIL said on the dancefloor "now go and make me some grandchildren!" - I felt like slapping him in the face! I was 27!! He has also done really cringe things like made birthday wishes and blown out candles and then said a comment about how his wish is to "do with my son and daughter in law". Bore off old man!! (I do actually really like him but this vexes me !!)

So it was my hubs birthday last weekend. I bought him a Darts board and we played darts in the garage and listened to music and had a few drinks! We also met up with a couple and us girls went off for a long walk and the boys did too. In the evening we did an online escape room with friends too! It was good fun - it's called the panic room.

Guys I had my first official TTC cry last night hahaha - it was like a film!! I was out walking, it started raining, and one of my friends text me to say she was PG (12 weeks with a scan pic). What pushed me over the edge was she said "we only did it once that month so when I was late just assumed it was going to arrive" - I think the tears were more rage then sadness??!!? Anyway I stood under a tree out of the rain and text her back with lots of well wishes and congratulations, whilst having a little cry. Feel better today but man was I miserable last night!!

KerryW87 · 29/01/2021 07:20

@AKcheer Aww I'm so sorry, I really feel for you ❤️ Trust me, after losing wee J I've had more wee mini breakdowns than I'd like to count, it's totally natural to feel overwhelmed with it all and frustrated when something you want so badly isn't working out :( It's good to get it all out and have a good cry sometimes, then just do whatever helps you feel better about it all - getting clarification on the bloods will help, and then rant away any time on here and try to focus on the birthday celebrations! 💕

Haha, I'm trying my best to chill my mind out this month, take a more positive approach and bring back what it used to be like in the pre-TTC days...with the help of the ASOS sale 😂 Definitely, get looking online! That'd count as a birthday present for your husband as well, haha! xx

AKcheer · 28/01/2021 22:50

Hey guys god I’ve been a mess today! I’ve had a mini breakdown and couldn’t stop crying but hopefully I’ve cried it out. Going to also call gp in morning re bloods. Will update you guys!

@jules5232 thank you. It’s just hard the first day. Oh gosh you’re spotting. When are you due AF? I always think spotting is weird because I’ve seen a few people spot before period and period never comes because they are pregnant. Do you usually spot?
I think the day 21. She said I’m normal absolutely fine and it was 26.7 but google tells me I should be over 30!?

Ooh that’s such a good idea. I think I might organise that and we can all have a drink and have a laugh! Thank you!!

@KerryW87 I know! I actually remember in the summer going to the park...having a picnic. Having some drinks and getting some sun! Now it’s too cold and always bloody snowing!!!
Love you’re pic of your sexy garms!! I think I may need to invest in a corset after watching bridgerton or at least I might go on Ann summers and see what I can find! Thanks for the inspiration!!

@KerryW87 you're right, it definitely is. This is also the first time I have felt a little like maybe this is all hopeless after 12 months, though could be the AF roller coaster playing tricks on me. I'm going to take your advice and have some wine and online shop.

KerryW87 · 28/01/2021 15:53

Side note: If this works for this cycle I'll be sure to send the ASOS link 😂😂

KerryW87 · 28/01/2021 15:11

@JLP256 You're so right - at least before we'd plan days/nights out or go meet friends. Literally nothing else to do bar google pregnancy symptoms and track cycle days 😂🙃 Here's hoping we're all pregnant soon and then at least we can...Google weekly pregnancy developments instead? Change things up a bit 😂

KerryW87 · 28/01/2021 15:09

Aw @jules5232 I'm sorry :( It is so much harder to take when your hopes have been raised! Same advice goes for you that I gave to @AKcheer - wine/takeaway/a wee gift to yourself through the wonder of online shopping! 💕

@AKcheer Good idea, hope you get through to them ok this afternoon! Let us know how you get on :)

It's so tricky to plan during lockdown isn't it? Yeah, a wee FaceTime catch up and drinks with his favourite people could be a shout! Shame it's bloody January otherwise a cute wee picnic/bbq somewhere with some wine and treats could be nice! You'd need your waterproofs and hats and scarves though if the weather where you are is anywhere like here 😂😩

jules5232 · 28/01/2021 14:31

@AKcheer I'm sorry AF started today and you arent feeling great! I'm right there with you, just started spotting this morning, letting myself just have a day. In 12 months I havent had a month where I really thought that this was it but this month I did. What a letdown. Which of the tests are you thinking might be off?

Do you have some friends or family that might have a virtual game night on his birthday? We did that a couple times through lockdown and it was really nice and felt somewhat like a party.

AKcheer · 28/01/2021 12:48

I’m a ring the gp I think everyone. Waiting for them to reopen after lunch. I’m so anxious so need this sorted also I’m very hormonal damn my period!!

@KerryW87 hahaha I like your idea of online shopping I say casually as Gucci sends an email 😂😂 perfect timing!

@JLP256 fingers crossed for you girl!! Here’s to hoping you get a positive and the TWW doesn’t drag.

Guys it’s hubby’s bday next weekend. Any idea on what I can do that’s nice in current conditions? I’ve ordered a cake :) but what else can I do? Throughout lockdown we’ve done the whole romantic meals etc!!

OP posts:
JLP256 · 28/01/2021 11:59

Agreed @KerryW87 TTC is rubbish during lockdown, I feel like if it was ‘normal’ times I’d have way more to distract myself rather than checking my Clue app 100 times a day!! So sick of the same walks 😂

JLP256 · 28/01/2021 11:57

Hey guys, @AKcheer sorry you have been feeling anxious and that AF has come :( I always feel the same way the first few days of my cycle. Hope you feel better soon! Make sure you take some time to rest and treat yourself if you can! That does sound confusing about your results - can you go back to your GP to clarify?

Agree with what everyone has been saying about social media, especially about pregnancy announcements...I’ve set myself screen time limits generally but also specific Insta/FB ones and it really helps! During lockdown I’ve been mindlessly scrolling so much.

Also, on in-laws, it’s funny you should mention that @Rose2108...my father in law lately keeps ‘jokingly’ asking DH when we’re having kids. He thinks he’s being funny
but it’s so awkward!

I’m about 5DPO now and this TWW is dragging...normally I wait until AF is due to test but this month I’m feeling so impatient!!

KerryW87 · 28/01/2021 11:56

@Rose2108 Ah I would be tense about that too if that were me, does seem a bit odd that she'd be so nosey about your friend - also that's so shit if she's made digs and comments towards you :( It's no one's bloody business why you don't have children and if people took even a millisecond to consider that there could be a very sensitive reason as to why a couple might not have children then maybe they'd keep their mouths shut!

It is a total graft, isn't it :( Although, maybe that could be looked at as a good thing? Obviously not good that those months have passed, but that if it was timed wrong for all those months then it means there's less need to worry just now and chances are you're just well within the normal timeframe?

@AKcheer Aww I'm so sorry :( That is always the worst day, isn't it? Be good to yourself today, a wee takeaway later or order yourself something entirely unnecessary online? 😂 It's shit, but this next cycle could be the one!

Oh really? Oh man, that is totally confusing then! :( Can you phone your GP and ask about it? I'd be inclined to believe the NHS over an online source but I know fine well if it was me then I'd be worrying too, definitely try and ask about it to put your mind at ease! 💕

I honestly think TTC is WAY worse during this lockdown, we have nothing to plan or look forward to...it's grim! I'm going a wee walk after lunch and I'm happy to get out but also sick to the back teeth of going for a walk! 😂

AKcheer · 28/01/2021 11:09

Hey guys how are you? I’m feeling really stressed and anxious today. AF has come this morning :( and also I’ve been researching my figure for day 21 test which doc said was 26.7 and said it was normal but on the internet when I’ve searched it doesn’t look like it is normal? I’m so confused now.

@KerryW87 yeah think he’s going to call docs today but I’m so confused about my results now too. Oh hopefully you can have a nice romantic anniversary at home!! It’s different but is there anything special you can do? Oh god I know how you feel re social media. I don’t c much on Facebook but my Instagram was full so in Dec I just set myself a 5 min limit to go on which has worked wonders for me!!

@Rose2108 that’s really awks about it your MIL. It’s hard because when we get to a certain age, everyone wants to know but what are we meant to say? It must be so awkward for you. I know I just need something to look forward to as well :(

OP posts:
Rose2108 · 28/01/2021 09:29

@AKcheer sorry you had a bad day. I am finding it so hard to distract myself when I have a bad day or feel down. I am just over this lockdown! I want to book a holiday (even if I cancel it) so that I have something to look forward to lol!

Rose2108 · 28/01/2021 09:27

@KerryW87 - Ah pregnancies everywhere! I have one group of friends where they ALL have kids except for me, and one group where none of us have kids... strange dynamics! And have very diff relationships with them both. I think removing yourself from it all is a good idea, I am only on instagram.

My best friend is about to give birth and my MIL has been quite.... nosy about it? Like asking when she is due, wanting to make her a blanket, asking if they were trying for a while. Part of me thinks she is just being nice but another part of me wants to scream "we are trying woman leave us alone" !!! They have no grandchildren and are heading to the 70's. But I am so over the digs and comments we have had since we got married 4 years ago.

That is good to know re the men's sample. I had no idea what to expect and not sure how my husband would feel about it. To be honest I now know that for about 5 or 6 cycles (before temping and OV sticks) we got it totally wrong! I assumed I ovulated around CD14. So we have really only been properly trying for about 4 cycles and even then I am not convinced we have really found the "fertile window". It's bleak.

KerryW87 · 28/01/2021 08:34

@AKcheer Haha oh god, YES I have. You ok?

How you feeling? Hoping AF doesn't arrive today or tomorrow for you 🤞 but if it does then you're right, one month closer! 💕 Oh is he? Good idea, seems simple enough through the NHS! They just give you a kit to take home and a number to phone the hospital with and they give you a timeframe to have it "produced" and dropped off to them! Hoping all is good with his since your bloods came back fine too!

Yeah ok, thanks! Cycle day 7, this weekend is our anniversary and the first year we won't be able to go out anywhere but hoping to have a nice wee night in anyway so looking forward to that! Came off all social media after two more pregnancy announcements in one day - Im now the only woman of child-bearing age at work who isn't either pregnant or given birth in the past four months so I'm just trying to reduce the reminders where I can 😂🙈 So happy for them all, it's just a lot, you know? So I feel better for doing that!

jules5232 · 27/01/2021 22:05

@AKcheer Haha. Actually yes! I've been having an entire week like that, though I suspect hormones may have something to do with my ability to handle them

AKcheer · 27/01/2021 21:54

Had the most awful day at work. Does anyone ever have a day when you just want to punch someone through the screen!?

Thanks @jules5232 :)

@KerryW87 it sucks doesn’t it. It’s just a waiting game now. Due tomorrow or Friday but getting those cramps now so I’m guessing tomorrow maybe. Just want it to come so I can start a new cycle!! Yes nearer to my month hopefully!! How are you??

Hubby said he’s probably going to get a semen analysis done to check sperm and going to call docs

OP posts:
KerryW87 · 26/01/2021 18:54

@AKcheer Bless you, I've been there and it's totally heart-wrenching when you have a day like that 😢 Definitely seems to happen round about testing/waiting for AF! I'm glad you're feeling a bit better today and that is brilliant your bloods are normal! 💕 Even more of a sign that it really is one month closer until it's your turn! :)

@Rose2108 Aw I'm sorry AF arrived :( I absolutely get you on the CB monitors, I used them the very first month we were trying, November 2019 and waiting for that stupid static smiley stressed me out so much that I binned it 😂 I really hope agnus castus or the other things you've looked into helps lengthen your luteal phase, might be just what you need and that'll be it! 💕 Bloods sound very confusing, here's hoping someone can clarify that for you!

Positive vibes for us all for this cycle! 🤞🤞

jules5232 · 26/01/2021 18:16

@AKcheer that's great news that your bloodwork came back normal!

AKcheer · 26/01/2021 17:34

Hi everyone I got my bloods back and day 21 was also normal too!

Hey @Rose2108 thank you. I didn’t test again today I’m a wait for AF lol. I don’t even know why I did yesterday how stupid. Ahhh yeah it would be better if you could extend that a little bit. Hopefully next month it will be longer. Good idea - I like it. You’re taking the relaxed approach!! Maybe I will also do that as well you know it might be better and a lot easier to be honest. Yes please visit us girlies on this page!!
I’m sticking to my exercising, walking and yoga too! I think I had a bad day but I’ve picked myself back up :)

That’s so weird re bloods. All I know is day 3 is one and then day 21 or 7 days before period is another one. Hahahhaa oh god!! Can you believe that!! Could have had a baby by that time! Oh we have to see the humour in it!!

OP posts:
JLP256 · 26/01/2021 13:18

Hey ladies. Sorry to hear about the BFNs/AF arrivals this week, it can be so so disappointing :(. Hope everyone is feeling ok! Just wanted to agree as well that this group has been so helpful to me so I’m so glad you’re all here and that we can rant to each other :).

@Rose2108 I know the feeling, the day after DH and I decided to TTC my sister told me she was 5 weeks pregnant, and now she is ready to give birth! Mad how quickly the time goes. Hopefully it will be our turns very soon :)💕

Rose2108 · 26/01/2021 10:13

Morning Ladies. Oh @AKcheer, I am so sorry you got a BFN. AF arrived for me this morning, so my last cycle was 30 days. It was only 1 week between ovulation and AF which isn't good, definitely need to try and work on that because a fertilised egg needs some days to cosy up in there before AF starts! I am hoping to bring it back a week or so but will be interesting to see what things month will bring. Not doing those CB tests again because they just frustrate me so much! Just gunna work on the basis I could ovulate any time between CD 16 - 24! I am sending you positive vibes; keep being your positive self and exercising and looking after yourself! You have no reason to think there is anything wrong with you. Aside from this group I am going to keep away from forums and google searching everything for the next cycle, the internet cannot answer my questions!

@KerryW87 I need this little group! To vent / for advice / to overshare lol. Thanks to you all for the support. OMG that is so funny re the sample!! Good luck to your husband! I don't think I could take the pressure haha.

@jules5232 that's crap, can't believe your friends are so unsupportive. It's amazing though how I have so many friends who have kids and none of them have ever spoken about TTC; probably why I thought I could come off the pill and get PG on day one.. I have opened up to one friends and she is very supportive, she has been amazing to be fair. HSG will be good!

So I picked up my bloods paperwork and I am so confused, one of them says "can be done same day" and one says "day 21 of 28". One is for "Gold Top" and one "Purple EDTA". I tried to call this morning to find out if this "can be done same day" is what I should use for the day 3 or whether they are both to be done on 21st? ... So annoying, couldn't get through to the reception but will try again later. Dr's in/around London are just so over worked and it is always quite chaotic when I go...

I am going into my 9th cycle now.... I could have made the baby and popped it out in this time!

Positive vibes girls! xx

AKcheer · 26/01/2021 08:49

Thanks @KerryW87 so nice to see that you care!! Why do we even do it to ourselves? I was just so sad yesterday and I even dreamt of me crying saying all I want is a baby. God yesterday and my sleep was awful. It’s safe to say I haven’t tested today and won’t. Il wait for AF and then be on my Merry way for next month.
I really hope so!! I hope we all get there so soon. I can just tell how much we will all appreciate it ❤️❤️
Omg - this sounds like a planned operation and oh the pressure hahaha!! Hopefully he can get it to the hospital soon and they can analyse it and it doesn’t take too long. I’m hoping the home tests were wrong and his sperm is fine!! Keep us updated!!

@jules5232 just don’t know why I put myself through it lol. What an idiot. Oh wow never heard of that before. Sounds good!! I wonder if it’s painful.

OP posts:
jules5232 · 25/01/2021 19:45

@AKcheer I was so tempted to test yesterday but never made it off the couch to buy some. An hsg is apparently a procedure where they send in dye and look to see if the fallopian tubes are blocked for some reason. The doc said that sometimes the test is enough to "clear out the lines" and helps conceive for a couple months if nothing is wrong structurally!
