Hi everyone 👋🏼

Just logged back into my account and seen these messages, sorry I’m late to the party! How are you all?

My little boy turned 2 on Tuesday 🥺 can’t believe how fast time has gone! He’s an absolute character and certainly keeps me on my toes!!

We’ve been trying for baby no.2 for some time now, and I fell pregnant late December however sadly experienced my first miscarriage around 7 weeks. It was utterly heartbreaking and my empathy for those who have been through that has grown even more. After this I found it very hard to move forward, cried a hell of a lot and wasn’t sure how I’d feel about trying again. We decided to move away from ovulation strips and give it some time before we started to “try” again.. however yesterday I did a test as I was 4 days late and I’m pregnant 🙈 My emotions are mixed, I’m SO happy to be pregnant but still sad for what could have been and also anxious about how things will go this time round..

Anyway, hope everyone is well and I’ll check in soon to see if anyone responds ❤️

@Rose2108 so nice to hear from you and that you are doing well! I've never heard of pp gallstones either, sounds awful!

My daughter Gracie is a little over 17 months now and so very worth all the tracking and waiting and worrying. She has much more energy than I do but we're having fun. Hope everyone else that may check in is doing well. Would love to hear any updates and how you have been!

All good with me, well except for the fact I have post partum gallstones, wtf! Didn't even know that was a thing. It's horrific. But my son who is now 15 months old is wonderfully bonkers. Worth all the stressing about trying to get pregnant lol. Xxx

Had a lovely time away last week at a Lodge! Just what was needed!!

I've my private scan booked in for the 17th October so will update you all again then!

I'm feeling ok thanks - very tired and splitting sore heads at night but all seemingly 'normal' symptoms!!xx

I went to my GP in July to see what I could do after TTC for a year and they basically said nothing until March 2022 as the miscarriage 'resets' the clock.

So I went for private testing in august and she confirmed everything looked good, to try to relax and go enjoy myself..... however it kind of done the opposite as I thought if everything's ok why hasn't it happened!! Then when AF arrived that month it really hit me hard (I actually called in 'sick' to work as I couldn't get out my bed I was soo upset!!

But hopefully this is my time - I don't know why but I'm still in disbelief and I don't think until I have my private scan I'll fully relax and start to properly enjoy/be happy xxx

What good news @Lynne425!! I'm so happy for you, especially getting that positive on what would have been your due date. Have you been feeling okay?

I was thinking of all of you ladies yesterday actually, wondering how everyone is doing. 💕

Yes I tested again on Saturday and then today (see attached) and the line progressions looking good!!

It's our wedding anniversary tomorrow so off on a mini break for a few days!! Looks like it's gonna be a good wee celebration week for us xx

Oh Lynne! I am so so happy for you, what wonderful news. I can't even imagine how hard the last year has been for you. When my tests looked like that I was told "A line is a line!". Have you tested again - is it any clearer? Just seems like maybe it was meant to be :)

Just thought I'd update you all

On what should have been my due date today I was feeling a bit 😔 but also not feeling myself!

However as I am 10dpo decided to take a test and look what I've found 🌈✨

I know it's far too early to get mega excited and my hopes up but just to say after 15 months TTC and a miscarriage - anything is possible xx

@8LPS oops said that wrong, the scan is between 7 and 8 weeks (if I start from first day of last period)!

@8LPS haha yeah I don’t think they quite get the stress and worry of it do they! And you’re right, being a PWP sometimes makes it harder 😩 thanks I will try my best. Aww yay that’s amazing, ours should be between 6 and 7 weeks so I’m hoping we will see one too 🤞🏼 I would’ve done the same with the second scan, so pleased everything was okay 💕 aww bless!!

Hey @AKcheer sorry to hear you’re finding things difficult at the moment 😔 I know it’s not nice to hear from those who have their BFP but I honestly know how you feel and it’s so difficult. But you’re time will definitely come and it’s good that you’re gonna get more looked into, that will help to give you answers or at least make you feel like you’re taking some control. Sending virtual hugs x

Hey All

So AF showed her ugly face again this month 😣 so called and booked an appointment with the GP as that's been a year of TTC, however I don't know if they'll count the miscarriage in January or not 🤷🏻‍♀️

I've also booked in a private fertility check to make sure all is ok as since January my periods have been soo light - like last 3 days top and not a lot of bleeding on my pads just really bleed when I'm at the toilet (sorry all for TMI)

So hopefully get some answers this month 🤞🏻🤞🏻 xx

Morning everyone, thanks for your messages of support. It definitely was scary times and obviously getting the vaccine has been a confusing time when pregnant! But just trying to do what is right and look after myself! Yes I am coming up to 27 weeks this week, so third trimester on the horizon, have no idea where the time has gone to be honest and we are very disorganized! Ha. Must get cracking.

Hey @AKcheer ☺️ it's great news that everything seems to be well but I totally relate to how disheartening this all is. I really do just feel like it's luck more than anything, my friend fell pregnant with her first in month one off the pill, and has been trying for her second for 18 months! It's so hard but I know you'll get there, I want it for you so much x

@BumbleB1 congratulations!!! How exciting for you. I'm so pleased! Yes genuinely the pregnancy forums aren't going to add any positivity to your journey at all. Just stay away, start buying some books or watching some YouTube videos on the development of your baby at each week. Take it slow and don't get wrapped up in the "what if" which you can't control! I never look at forums now! I'm too busy trying to get my ankles to deflate 😂

Lovely to hear your doing well too @8LPS! Time will fly honestly, you'll be in your 20 week scan before you know it.

One of my closest friends has just found out it won't happen naturally for her. It's so heartbreaking. I'm trying to be supportive but I know you just don't want to be around pregnant people when TTC! I couldn't stand it!

@BumbleB1 you’ll be absolutely fine 🙂 haha my husband said the same thing to me as well!!! lol I swear men just have an in-built positivity gene in them or something 😂 being PWPs we know exactly what we should be doing but if anything, knowing all the techniques makes it so much harder lol! 🙈 take it easy and try to rest up (although I’m sure your energy levels aren’t feeling so different right now, but trust me lol they will in the next few weeks!).

I’m getting on ok thank you, just over 11 weeks now! 🥰 I also needed reassurance so we had a 6 week scan and we were lucky enough to see a heartbeat (we were told it may be too early to see one). We weren’t going to have another scan until the 12 week scan that the NHS provide, but last weekend I started bleeding and panic mode kicked in - obviously started thinking the worst! Called the ‘early pregnancy unit’ and they said it sounds normal (something to do with the placenta). But we wanted peace of mind, so we got another private scan and everything was fine thankfully - just a little blood clot which the radiographer couldn’t really explain, except the fact that the clot was nowhere near the baby or the placenta so everything is fine. Silver lining is that we got to see the baby looking like an actual baby this time and it was kicking around and it was fist pumping! It’s gonna be a raver 🥰😂

@jules5232 thank you so much!! 🥰 yeah I’m definitely a bit of a worrier so I’ll try to stay away from it, I have looked at a couple of threads around booking a private scan but even they were all talking about MCs so I quickly came off them 😬 did you book any private scans? I’ve already caved and booked one for some reassurance!

@8LPS aw thank you!! 😘 Yeah I’m going to try and stay away from them as much as I can until things feel a bit more certain. I’m trying to stay positive but sometimes say things to my partner about preparing for bad news and he says I shouldn’t think that way (I know he’s right!). Thank you, I’m definitely making use of relaxation and breathing techniques! How are you getting on? What scans have you had so far? I’ve just booked a private scan for some reassurance.

Personally, I’ve stayed away from joining in on the pregnancy forums because I worried a lot in the early stages of my pregnancy. I was absolutely convinced that something was going to happen to didn’t feel attached to my baby for a good few weeks 🥺 Just remember that it’s natural to worry to a degree, especially this early on - and after you’ve been waiting so long for this! But also remember that this is what you’ve been waiting for, so enjoy/embrace the pregnancy, and do what you can to relax your mind and body 🙂 congrats again!
