Hey *@ButterscotchBabe*! Continuing our chat here 😁 I loooove that your temps did exactly what mine did too. So good that AF hasn't arrived at CD26!! Happy for you! When your temps increased last month, was it is to a gradual high or did it jump up again and then AF started? Because if this pattern is new, it could mean good news! Ours definitely look like the beginning of a triphasic chart. My temps last month started dropping at 7DPO, so it still being high at 9DPO is such an achievement for me and no sign of AF either although my vulva feels AF'y in a weird way. My pulse and breathing rate have also continued to shoot up!! If temps don't tell you AF is coming, pulse rate defo will because it always starts falling a few days before AF for me. I do suspect chemical but no BFP so can't confirm and nothing else changed that cycle so I can't explain it. Hormones were defo the reason I never took the pill, it plays such a big part in changing your reproductive cycle that of course it would have an affect on cycles after you come off them! 45 day cycles sound like a nightmare - especially when TTC too. I do have a FRER! I'm always so scared to use it though. I always use rubbish ICs which probably aren't the best thing but I will use my FRER with you! I like predicting what my temps will do with DH. What do you think will happen tomorrow? I think both our temps will go up again 😆

Looks like ovulation is gonna happen tomorrow or Friday, this is the furthest apart our cycles have been!

I wonder if your luteal phase will be shorter this month with the lower temps? Do you think you'll continue taking the SI? Unless you get a BFP of course!

I find it strange when people say they "accidentally" got pregnant. Did he trip and accidentally fall into your vagina 😂😂😂

How are you feeling for 9DPO? Had many symptoms other than leaky nipples?? I'm not sure if sweat can come out of the nipples, I sometimes get sweat under my boobs but never out of the actual nipple. Another theory is a phantom pregnancy - when you want to be pregnant so much, occasionally your body can start believing it is pregnant and presents symptoms. I still reckon it was caused by the SI. Not sure what I would do, probably spend ages googling 😂😂.

So from initial appointment to consultation is 11 weeks, slightly quicker than the average so that's good. The tube checking is generally quicker and they'll be able to tell you the results on the day, then you'll probably have to wait a while for the next consultation.

I'm so annoyed with my fertility clinic yet again. When they cancelled my consultation, I asked them to post us the SA results, which they said they would. Yesterday they called me saying they've set me up on a portal (My Care) where I can access the results. So they emailed me the link, I logged in and it's a hospital account for me, not DP. Therefore I can only see my test results, not his!! Bloody pointless, they must have known that 🤦🤦🤦. DP then created an account and there were no test results on there 🙄. It's so frustrating, this whole process is gonna age me a lot, they just seem really incompetent!!

I feed the bunnies hay, nuggets (pellets) and veggies, they love kale and broccoli! Aww he looks so cute and helpless in the box, I bet you were able to get lots of kisses and cuddles whilst he was zonked out! Thanks for the warning, or I might have thought they were dead if they react the same! Not sure how we'll separate the hutch, maybe one of them will have to sleep somewhere else. How long did it take for them to recover from the anesthetic?

Lol you may have to call an ambulance because a bus or taxi driver probably wouldn't be too keen to take you 😂😂. Your DH has at least 9 months to learn!

I just did a search on Etsy for one of my cards, using words that fit the card exactly, there were 123 results and my listing wasn't there! I'm paying for ads so my listing should have been at the top of that search but it wasn't there at all 😡. I've contacted them to ask why. Thanks for the ideas! I'll definitely make Christmas cards well in advance. Giving people the option to submit their own design is a cool idea, I'll have to work out how to do that!

My MOH and 2 x bridesmaids have said yes 😀😀, the 3rd bridesmaid didn't receive her parcel because she wasn't in. So I'm hoping they've left a message and she'll go pick it up. I sent it first class signed for, so that it didn't get left anywhere.

So I've now booked make up, just waiting on a supplier to come back to me regarding hair 😀. Next step is wedding dress shopping 😊👰👗

Yay! Welcome EWCM! AF will probably arrive for me by the time you ovulate! I'm due on Fri/Sat and it's feeling pretty likely that it'll come. Aw one year trying in one months time 😔 it's going to suck. My cousin told me that a friend of hers who got married some time after me is now accidentally pregnant and she's so annoyed that she is. I wish I was accidentally pregnant.

My temps are still low compared to previous months but it is increasing slowly. It'll probably start falling soon. I feel like my RHR is like a foreshadowing of what my temps will do and since it has started to fall, my temps will probably follow suit in the next few days.

😂 I don't even know how to get started with procuring weed! The leaky nipples have stopped now. So random! I've had months with lower temps and sorer boobs and I've never lactated! My hormones coupled with the vaccine must be going crazy! I'm still convinced that yesterday's incident was sweat because since then, nothing else has come out. But at least I know my nipples work! What would you do if you woke up one day to leaky nipples?? 😂

Weeks to 3rd Aug:
• Initial appointment - 18th May: 11 weeks
• Blood test - 9th June: 7 weeks
• Follow up appointment - 18th June: 6 weeks

So I'd say things have moved pretty quickly. Hopefully tests and scans are just as fast. Maybe instead of IVF, they'll fund medication that can help.

There's two versions. One has a normal sensor that opens whenever something/someone approaches it. There's a more expensive one that has a microchip reader and will only open for specific pets. I got the normal sensor one, but I'll have to place it somewhere with low foot traffic so we don't wear out the battery.

How are your boys with food? Do you feed them just hay and veg? Have you fed them pellets? After they're neutered they may not eat a lot. I remember I literally had to hand feed grey rabbit individual stalks of hay. But once they recover it'll be fine. I still remember when I brought them back from the vets, white rabbit was out cold. I actually thought he was dead because he wouldn't respond to me touching him. So definitely expect them to still feel the effects of the anaesthesia straight after! And keep them away from each other so they don't fight and tear stitches. My boys couldn't live outside because of all the germs and infections they could contract so I literally had white rabbit living inside a cardboard box and grey rabbit slept in the carrier. Luckily your hutch is indoors!

I wonder how a taxi driver would feel transporting a pregnant woman to hospital while her waters are breaking 😂😂

10 clicks is pretty good! Definitely keep promoting yourself online and offline. Next time someone needs to buy a card, offer your services. Advertise heavily around holidays (Xmas, Easter) and Valentine's, Mother's and Father's Day. Also think about events like baby showers and christenings, new job, get well soon, graduation etc. Maybe give people the option to submit designs that you can cut out with your machine to make their 3D card. Definitely lots of audiences you can cater to.

Finally in the fertile stage 😂 OPK still very negative, so ovulation will probably be on Thursday. It will officially be a year for us in August!

Your estrogen must be very high as it's keeping your temp down and I reckon that's why your boobs are leaking! Just did a quick Google search on high estrogen and leaking nipples...

"Galactorrhea is a milky discharge from both nipples, when a woman is not breastfeeding. This is often due to an increase in the hormone prolactin, which produces milk. Galactorrhea may occur if you take sedatives or marijuana. Or it can be caused by high doses of estrogen."

Assuming you don't smoke weed 😂😂, if you don't take the SI next cycle, I reckon the leaky nipples will stop 😂.

That's great you've got a consultation on 3rd Aug 😀, how many weeks did that take from first contacting the GP?

Ooh that's cool, how does the bowl know Aski is approaching? Does it open when it senses something is nearby or does it only open for Aski?

Oh no that's awful about the fly eggs! Interestingly, when I was cutting broccoli yesterday, I found two dead maggots inside the broccoli heads! I've never noticed that before on food. Maybe there is an abundance of flies at the moment 🤢. Was your food organic? Our broccoli was, which is probably why the fly eggs weren't killed.

DP said the role is getting a bit better, he was on a call and noticed other staff at his level being more difficult about taking on work. So I think that's where it stems from. As he's new, they want to make sure he doesn't act like the existing staff they have!

Omg yeh I didn't think of that, you won't be able to drive yourself and you don't wanna get on public transport when you're in labour 😂😂.

Aww that's nice your guests contributed to your first house 😊. I'm undecided whether to say it's for IVF, I think people will be more happy to contribute if they know it's for a baby, than if we say it's for a honeymoon 😂.

Sent off the bridesmaid/MOH proposal gifts today 😬😬, sent them 1st class, so hopefully they'll receive them tomorrow or Wednesday. Hopefully they'll say yes! Then I can get booking hair and make-up, I already have suppliers lined up 😂.

I've just received a referral letter from my GP to speak to the fertility team. It'll be a virtual appointment on 3rd August, which I think is brilliant! Maybe I can have my tubes checked soon after!

Also the case of the leaky nipple has gotten really peculiar 😂 I was out in the garden and my top felt wet where my nipples are (not the areolas but the actual nipples themselves) And I looked and there were wet patches around both nipples. I was like wtf! So squeezed them and nothing came out. So now I'm thinking maybe it's sweat, but do nipples sweat??? Please tell me nipples can sweat because I'm not believing that I'm actually lactating right now!!!

I had some ovulation pain this cycle but not as bad as last cycle. It's just a strange cycle overall tbh. My temps are still pretty low and completely different to last cycle's chart. That's a shame that you may ovulate a bit later. The further away ovulation is for you, the greater the distance we are from each other 😔 When will it officially be a year since you started trying? We started trying in Oct 2020.

😭😭😭 There's always something new that my body surprises me with! It could be higher estrogen, hence why my boobs are sore earlier in my cycle and my temps are low. I miss the innocence of our random symptom generator but none of the potential symptoms ever mean anything for us 😔

We've booked accommodation for when we come to visit you! We'll arrive on the Thursday evening after work, then we'll spend the Friday exploring the city and meet up with you for lunch or dinner. Then Saturday is your party, then Sunday we leave! I'll need to have someone come in and feed the pets on the Friday and/or Saturday.

We've bought a bowl that has an automatic lid for Aski's food so when she approaches, it uncovers her food. We've had four instances of flies laying eggs in her/our food! Twice in the last two days!!!!! It's disgusting! I've never ever had a fly egg-laying experience before but it seems we have very fertile flies in this area. We've only had one instance where the eggs hatched and we had maggots in our food bin 🤢🤢🤢 Whenever I dispose of the egg-infested food, I mix it in with bleach so the eggs don't hatch 🤢🤢🤢 Not sure else what to do about the flies?????

If your DP is thinking of not staying too long at his job, then he should start job hunting now. If it's difficult to get a job, then it might be worthwhile to start looking early. The only issue is how it would look on his CV if he isn't there for long.

I think DH can drive with a Greek license. I haven't really checked the rules, but I'd hate to have to wait for him to pass his UK test before driving. I tell him quite regularly that he needs to start driving, especially when he expects me to chauffeur him around. I can just imagine me driving myself to hospital while in labour because my husband can't/won't drive 😡

I guess with these platforms, everything is about making money. And if you want to make money, then you have to spend money. It's really not fair, but unless you have good marketing, I'm sure it'll be difficult to get visibility of your products. I'm rooting for you either way!! I hope you start getting clicks! Aww! You definitely don't want to be feeling ugly on your wedding day! But you probably weren't used to yourself with makeup like that so you perceived yourself as ugly but you probably weren't!! The trial will help in that case. Even if you don't do a pre-wedding photoshoot, still take photos of yourself so you have something to look back at during the wedding planning phase.

No, they wouldn't have told anyone. As far as anyone knows, we're probably just waiting and enjoying married life. I guess people would be more concerned if we'd been married 5 years and nothing had happened.

We asked for contributions towards our first house so didn't receive any gifts (thankfully). You don't have to specify it's for IVF if you feel uncomfortable doing so. You can keep it vague and ask for contributions towards starting a life together as a family/married couple - I think that can mean many things and leaves it open to interpretation. Good luck!

No fertile CM for me yet, so I think ovulation is going to be a bit later this month, I'll start OPKs today. Yeh I think with your temp rising, creamy CM and sore boobs, you've definitely ovulated. Did you experience as much ovulation pain as you did last month? I remember it was particularly bad for you last cycle.

Oh wow I've never had fluid come out my nipples so I don't know what would cause that! Possibly a reaction from high estrogen with the SI?

Yeh DP isn't happy with this treatment, if they don't calm it down then he'll start looking for another job. Problem is, it's an employers market at the moment.

Does he need a UK licence or can he use his Greek one? Sounds like he might need pushing a bit more! Maybe you could look up some driving instructors and find out prices, if you keep the raising the issue I'm sure he'll give in!

Haha that's so funny, who knew so much drama went on in cat world! I thought they just roam around minding their own business but they've all got their own characters, likes/dislikes and friendship groups 😂😂.

I saw your vid on Insta with you grooming white rabbit, very cute 😍. Yes rabbit hairs get everywhere, including the eyes! As we have them inside I'm also finding their bedding is getting everywhere, it attaches to us and then gets walked round the house! Means lots more hoovering 😕.

I've started using Etsy Ads and I've seen my products appear in searches, whereas before then my products did not appear. So I think that's a hidden cost of selling with Etsy, if you don't pay to be advertised, no-one will see your listings. You do only pay per click though, you don't pay just to appear in the search. I was thinking of setting up a Facebook and Insta page but maybe I'll wait until I've got more products.

Yes I'll definitely do a make-up trial, I'm feeling nervous about it though because I've only had my make-up done once before, many years ago and I hated it, it was the ugliest I'd ever seen myself look 😱😭. That's a great idea to link it with your pre wedding photoshoot! I might try and do the same, if we have one.

Glad the BBQ well and you didn't have any awkward questions! Do you think your Mum and sisters will have told other family members?

For our wedding, instead of having a gift list, we're thinking of asking for contributions towards IVF. That does mean telling everyone which I'm a bit nervous about but it's what we need money for, as we only get one free go on the NHS. What do you think people will think of that?

Temp still rising. I've added manual crosshairs as FF hasn't been able to detect ovulation yet. It's probably safe to assume I've ovulated. My boobs started hurting yesterday, much earlier than last cycle! And the weirdest thing is happening! I was touching my boobs last night to feel how sore they were and they felt weird so I had a look at them to see what was going on and my left nipple was wet. So I squeezed it and more clear fluid came out 🙈🙈🙈 So weird. I wonder if I have high prolactin or if the luteal phase can cause such a phenomenon. Or maybe the vaccine did something to my pituitary gland. Or maybe I have a tumour! I thought maybe it was in my head but I squeezed again this morning and more came out 🙈🙈 Am I dying? So cringe and TMI 😂

Oh dear, I hate being micromanaged. I'd end up rebelling against the company 😂 But that isn't healthy at all! How can they justify calling employees multiple times a day to check up on them. And daily update emails??? That's a task you give to an intern/apprentice/graduate. Not an experienced employee! I'd feel very insulted if that was ever asked of me. What does your DP think of this treatment?

DH has a Greek license but hasn't bothered driving in the UK. He wants to take driving lessons first but hasn't been very proactive about it and covid hasn't helped matters either. I've even offered to take him to a quiet area where I can supervise but he's refused. I'd probably be like you when he starts driving and have him drive everywhere - I'll call it payback!

Omg 😱😱 If a random cat walked into my home and sprayed, I would fight it 😂 But since Aski is Miss Popular, I can see her bringing home one of her friends and having a house party 😪 It's so funny that cats have cats they do/don't like. Next door we have a black cat, he's quite big but he's tolerant towards Aski, but there's another black cat in the neighbourhood and if our neighbour's cat sees him, he chases him away. They're like enemies! And yet, he's ok with Aski being on his territory 😂😂😂 Aski does have a female cat she doesn't like. This cat was on our land, rubbing her scent glands all over our property and we were hold Aski back as she was growling!! That cat was taking the piss though. I chased it away 😂😂 #TeamAski. So much drama.

Ouch, sounds like their hormones have kicked in and they're battling it out for dominance. Just watch them because rabbits can fight to the death. Definitely separate them if you need to. I separated mine until they were neutered, then I let them fight it out supervised. I gave my rabbits a good groom yesterday. Their fur is shedding lots so they looked really scruffy. I hate rabbit fur though! It's soo light and fluffy and gets everywhere (including inside my eyes!) I have a handheld vacuum cleaner and lint roller just for their fur. I also clipped their claws.

Oh that's interesting to know! Hopefully Reading is a very fertile area and not many women need fertility assistance so that things can move quickly 🤞

Great to see your temp slowly rising, fingers crossed it went up again today and that confirms ovulation 👍. Not much going on with me, no EWCM yet, will probably start OPKs tomorrow.

Lol yeh DP only fainted soon after the vaccine, he's been fine since. His job is going okay thanks, they're very micro managey, they give him daily tasks and call him several times throughout the day and then he has to email an update at the end of the day, of what's he's done! I hope the longer he's there, they'll start to trust him and back off.

I don't think the 12 week gap is compulsory, they have a gap of that size to ensure more people got their 1st jab. You're not supposed to have it too soon though, I think from 8 weeks is the best. I'm hoping to get it a bit earlier, as you have more protection after both doses.

Yay I'm really excited to meet you! Thank you for coming to my birthday, we'll come to you next time 😊. Does your DH want to learn to drive? DP drives most the time, I don't really like driving, I would hate for him not to drive!

Thats handy there was already a dog flap! Just watch out for other cats wandering in! There's a massive, new build housing estate near us and people are regularly reporting random cats entering their homes, spraying and eating their food!

Rabbits are still grumpy, they both hate being picked up so it's difficult to cuddle them! 2 more weeks until we can get them neutered! Poor grey rabbit keep losing fur because white rabbit constantly chases him to hump him, but he digs his teeth into grey rabbits fur, so when grey rabbit tries to run away, white rabbit hangs on with his teeth 🤦.

I don't call or email the clinic that often 😂, I rang them 4 times when I wanted my AMH results but since then I hadn't contacted them until recently about the MRI. DP previously worked at the NHS and he said everything moves in 12 weeks phases, they do it on purpose to keep everyone moving through the system at the same pace. It maybe worth searching for 'Reading NHS fertility clinic' on here and see if anyone has posted about it. I found someone on another group who is at the same clinic as me, so I often check what they're saying!

I've made the bridesmaids cards (not the MOH one yet), they're nice but not good enough to sell, I'll send you a picture. I've made a pink heart canvas but I can't sell it because the glue is visible on one of the hearts. Our house is gonna end up full with my artwork fails 😂😂. Might try and give it away at the party!

The most recent wedding things I've done are booked the cake baker and booked accommodation for me the night before. I've also found a make-up artist who's quite cheap but their portfolio is really good, so I might pay for hair and make-up for the bridesmaids.

Have you got much planned for the weekend? Weather is looking rubbish here tomorrow 😕, more crafts it is then! 😂

Temp went up a bit today. If it drops tomorrow then I guess I probably didn't ovulate. And if it continues going up then maybe I did. The vaccine definitely had an impact but I don't know how yet. OPKs are still -ve and CM is still creamy. All signs generally point to ovulation - even my RHR is going up and up. You're CD10 today so not much is happening with you at the moment I'm guessing?

DH has felt fine since his vaccine. No other symptoms for him either. Surprising all 3 of you had the Pfizer vaccine but DH didn't ever really feel unwell - just tired. Is your DP done with his fainting 😂 how's his job going? He must be properly settled in now?

Oh I thought the 12 week gap between vaccines was compulsory but you can get it earlier? We have drop in sessions here too so might be worth getting the 2nd one over and done with.

Eeeek!! So exciting we're finally meeting! I'll discuss with DH tonight the hotel situation and come up with a plan. I've asked him to take the 23rd off so we can travel down together. It's so annoying he doesn't drive because all the responsibility falls on me and I won't get a break. But we'll probably stop somewhere midway and relax a little. The train costs around £60 for an off-peak return within one month so looks like it will be cheaper driving.

Haha! Well whatever she was thinking, she was definitely enjoying it 🐟 She's been having lots of fun outdoors. We have a dog flap that was here when we moved in and we've finally taught her how to use it! So she has her freedom and uses her time outside to explore and meet up with the other neighbourhood cats. What are your rabbits behaving like? Are they still really fussy about being picked up and touched? It's cute you got them used to the harness though. My boys are dwarf rabbits, so if anything, the harness was kind of loose on them, they're just useless at existing, that's all.

Haha! How often do you call the clinic?? Do you send emails as well? Is 12 weeks the norm for referrals or can it happen faster? I'd be interested to find out what the NHS infertility services in Reading are like. I might do some research. Maybe something out there will mention how fast/slow they are.

So awkward. No one needs to know we're trying for a baby! But alas, sometimes work has to know. But what does the person on the receiving end even say in response. It's just an awkward conversation for both people.

I'd definitely like to pay for anything you make! You're a business woman now. You need to make your money! If you'd like to brainstorm new ideas, feel free to reach out. I'll also be keeping an eye out for the bridesmaids proposal cards. Will you use them for your bridesmaids too?

That's strange your temp hasn't gone up, I wonder what's going on?! Keep DTD and using OPKs just incase you get a peak again. Since you took SI, I would have thought you'll definitely ovulate. If your CM is creamy then you probably have ovulated, fingers crossed your temp will rise tomorrow and things will make sense!

That's great you haven't had many symptoms other than a painful arm 😊. How has your DH felt since having his? I had mild flu symptoms but it only lasted a couple of days. My 2nd vaccine is booked for 28th August but lots of places are now doing drop in sessions, so I could get it earlier. I'm not expecting to be pregnant before then 😂.

Yay we're now Facebook friends 😊, haha I didn't even know I had that setting on! The plan is to start at 3pm for my birthday but I was thinking you could arrive earlier, maybe around 1 or 2pm and then that gives us a chance to chat before others turn up? Will you be getting the train?

Haha Aski was probably thinking "that's a strange looking fish" 😂. How has she been since you let her outside? Has her wound recovered from the op? I can't wait to get the bunnies neutered, they're becoming quite difficult!

Literally no idea when the MRI is gonna happen, whenever I call the fertility clinic they always have a shitty attitude, as if my call is wasting their time... They probably think it is! Yeh it will be 12 weeks until your first consultation, the tube checking normally happens a bit quicker but then it will be another 12 weeks before the next consultation. Very frustrating but infertility is massively underfunded ☹️.

Haha yeh I think that's the most embarrassing part about telling people, is admitting you've been having unprotected sex 😱. Even though most people would expect that in a marriage or long term relationship, it still feels weird 😂😂.

Haven't decided on a country for the honeymoon yet, I think we're going to book the time off work but not book the holiday until much nearer the time. Then hopefully we'll be able to grab a deal!

Oh wow I'm surprised they acted like that, maybe they thought you were trying to strangle them 😂😂. Could the harness have been on too tight? Ours hate having the harness put on but once we've wrestled with them and got it on, they love it. They're quite happy taking us for a walk 😂.

9 months is a nice gap, just long enough to comfortably plan everything but not too long to wait!

I don't think I've ovulated. By temps have failed to rise. It might end up being an anovulatory cycle or I might ovulate later or I've already ovulated but it's a super slow rise. I've had temp dip on CD2 in my October cycles so it's just a case of waiting to see what happens over the next few days. My CM is creamy so I could have potentially ovulated but I'll keep doing OPKs and DTD anyway.

For some reason, my arm randomly stopped hurting through the night. Yesterday, the pain was excruciating but today it's like nothing happened. Maybe my body is done fighting off the vaccine. I haven't had any symptoms at all. Not even a fever. My temps barely rose the day after the vaccine and doesn't seem to want to rise at all either. When's your second dose booked for? Mines in September but if I end up pregnant I might reschedule it to the 2nd trimester.

Not sure why but they were there and I thought, why not. One of my fish oil tablets fell on the floor and I caught Aski licking it 😂 Luckily it isn't bad for her, it's actually good for her health but that's the last time she's having it!

I definitely get how stressful it must make you feel having to wait on the NHS. And they haven't given you any indication of time scales or as to how long you could be waiting? Either way, I hope you get a letter through your door in the next few days telling you your appointment is next week 😊 If my first appointment is 12 weeks away that'll be annoying as I really want to have my tubes checked on the NHS. Privately it's about £500 😱

It just feels weird and awkward telling my boss I'm trying for a baby, which means he'll know I've been having sex and it hasn't worked! 😱😱🙈 If I need any days off, I'll just go to the PA and she'll sort it out. That being said, I do need to tell them that I won't be taking time off in July.

That's a shame - a Greek holiday would have been lovely but at least you have a honeymoon to look forward to instead. What country are you thinking of honeymooning in?

Not cool! Very naughty!! We've tried them on a harness/lead maybe a year ago and they hated it. They almost had a heart attack. White rabbits eyes completely bulged out of his head and grey rabbit struggled to hop and was scared shitless. So we haven't tried again in case they actually die this time. Are yours ok with it?

I've seen people charging loads for paper flowers so you could definitely make a lot of money from it. I can't wait to see what else you come up with! I'll have to check into your shop regularly. Maybe I'll order something one day 😁

How are you feeling today? My arm was very painful for about 3 days but it's been fine since. Apparently symptoms are worse after the 2nd dose 😬.

I have to try and not think about the situation with the fertility clinic or I get very stressed. I'm worried I'll be waiting a long time for this MRI and my treatment can't move forward without it 😭😭. Yes I think you're right about the MRI being used much more widely, which is probably the reason for the delay. Things generally work in 12 week cycles, so you'll probably get an appointment 12 weeks after you were referred.

DP manages the condition with daily medication but he still aches most days and is rubbish in the mornings, until he's 'warmed up' 😂😂. Hopefully new treatments will come out in time.

Yes after the lady boss goes back to her substantive post, then my previous male boss will return to being my line manager. He's a nice guy so I'm sure he'll appear understanding but he probably won't quite get it. Even though the PA has said you don't have to tell him, it might be easier to, if during treatment your feeling unwell or need additional scans/time off.

Nope we won't be joining my Dad on the holiday next August as it's too close to our honeymoon and also I'm not very happy that my Dad rearranged it, making it more expensive, without speaking to us.

On Friday it will be exactly a year until our wedding! Our venue got affected on Monday by flash flooding, so really hoping this doesn't happen next year!

Oh strange AF! But at least it's over now. I had my vaccine this morning. I was given Moderna. My arm hurts 😭 But apart from my arm, I feel fine but maybe the symptoms will kick in tomorrow. I'll let you know if my AF is different too.

I did call abc today and I've cancelled the appointment. It's so funny because I feel like the universe really doesn't want me to do IVF. This is the second time I've cancelled an appointment. I hope I'll be ok waiting three months but you're right, IVF is just a phone call away. I'm trying to be optimistic but I can't help but feel there must be an issue with me that's stopping us from getting pregnant. I already know I have a short LP and low progesterone but would they stop me from getting a BFP altogether...? If I had some chemicals then there would be a course of action but right now, I'm just stabbing in the dark. I'm also assuming I have PCOS because why not...

Looks like you ended up having your appointment cancelled anyway. It's probably for the best. But 2 months is a long time to wait with no idea when you'll hear anything back! The best thing you can do is chase! I suppose you got an HSG booked in quickly because it's a very specific procedure but an MRI is quite general and used for many reasons for many types of people. That's my fear with the NHS. I've been referred to a specialist but I haven't heard anything back and don't expect to for months!

I have no idea if/when I ovulated!! I had ovulation pain yesterday evening in my right ovary and nothing today. OPKs were still dark yesterday but I couldn't tell if any of them were as dark as the control line. Today it's properly -ve. But my temp this morning dipped??? So I must have ovulated in the early hours and that's an ovulation dip? Or I ovulated from the other side? Or I haven't ovulated at all! My CM is confusing me. It's milky watery so I'm thinking maybe I have? I'll see what my temps do over the next few days. Haha I'll probably have finished my cycle by the time you enter your FW!

No, the PA wouldn't tell my boss. She even told me if I didn't feel comfortable telling my boss that I didn't need to say anything. It sucks when you have a good boss and they leave! Will your old boss come back or will they hire someone else? Good bosses are so hard to come by so I hope you get someone who'll have your back and support you.

I didn't pay for the dresses. I paid for the makeup artist, the hotel and their hair accessories. They paid for everything else. The night before the wedding, I booked a suite for all of use to stay in together, so it was nice. The beds were huge! There was space for three people in one bed 😂 I slept like a baby.

Wooow you've never cried during your TTC journey! You're such a strong woman. That's sad that you couldn't show negative emotions. I used to be like that but that's because I was constantly chasing after happiness but I soon came to realise that being happy all the time isn't sustainable and it's ok to feel negative emotions. Hahahaa they're so cheeky! He spent quite a while chasing them! I was in the shower so had no idea what was going on. Apparently, the grey rabbit had gone into the neighbours garden and when DH called his name, he came running back! So he knew he was going to get in trouble plus he must know his name and just ignores us!!!! I'm surprised they weren't eaten by something because we have loads of birds of prey flying over our house and a few neighbourhood cats. I'm thinking about lining the inside edges of their enclosure with wire meshing so they can't dig round the edges. Or better yet - put them on concrete and then their grass-munching days over.

DP was not happy with us keeping the consultation on Monday with no MRI results, so I called the clinic to chase it up, who have said 'its on order, we'll cancel your consultation and rebook when you've had the MRI'. It's been "on order" for the past 2 months! 🤬🤬🤬 I'm so angry, the NHS is clearly in an awful state at the moment 😭.

Did you decide to call ABC today and delay the IVF? Do you think you'll be okay to wait another 3 months? In the big scheme of things, 3 months isn't long and it's worth giving it another shot with the improved sperm 😊. At least you know IVF is only a phone call away 😊.

We have our next consultation on Monday 5th July but I still haven't had the MRI, so there's not going to be much to discuss. I emailed them 2 weeks ago advising I needed the MRI booked asap but they haven't responded. I'm gonna keep the consultation so we can find out the SA results but the consultant will probably be annoyed because it's kinda a wasted appointment. Not my fault though, I did tell them!

Do you think your ovulating today? Have you had any ovulation pain yet? You're almost in your TWW and I'm not even fertile yet 😭. FF has been okay for me, I don't recall it being down.

That's great your children wouldn't get the sickle cell disease 🙂. DP's condition is an autoimmune disease, like Asthma, Crohn's or Diabetes, so unfortunately they haven't yet discovered what gene causes it, so they wouldn't be able to select embryos without it.

I tried going vegetarian for a short time many years ago but like you, I missed meat too much! Don't think I could live without bacon and southern fried chicken 😋😂. What's your favourite food?

Do you think the PA might tell your boss? Could be easier because then you don't have to have that conversation! My male boss has temporarily moved to the next manager position up, so he's basically my grandparent manager and now a woman is directly managing me. She's lovely so I wouldn't mind telling her but she's only in the team temporarily, so by the time I have IVF, she'll probably have gone ☹️.

I'm not sure what the correct etiquette is, with regards to what the bride should pay for. I think I'm gonna offer to pay for the dresses and getting their hair done. They'll have to get their own shoes and accommodation.

By Christmas most people should be vaccinated, so hopefully international travel would be able to resume, or at least to some countries. The Greece birthday idea is unfortunately no longer going ahead. It was supposed to be in May this year but my Dad rescheduled his booking for August next year, without speaking to me or my brother. My brother was pretty annoyed because he already had a booking for that holiday (we hadn't yet booked), and so he cancelled his booking and lost his deposit. He didn't want to reschedule to next August because it's a more expensive time of year.

I don't cry very often, the only times I've cried have been when DP has shouted at me during an argument. When I was a child, I wasn't allowed to show any negative emotions or appear angry/unhappy, so I always struggle when someone shouts at me.

It's strange how some blood tests are painless and others really hurt!

Omg I can't believe the rabbits escaped 😱😂. How long did it take your DH to catch them? They were probably thinking "woohoo freedom!" 😂😂 I worry about our rabbits digging a hole and escaping, there's lots of things round here that would eat them 😕.

Looool I forgot to tell you! The rabbits escaped the other day. They dug a tunnel out and DH had to chase them around the garden. He managed to catch them but now I've locked them inside their hutch and their freedom to run around in their enclosure has been revoked! Actions have consequences!

Hey, how are you today? Is your AF still going? I'm guessing most of your pain has gone. It might be a something to report as a side effect of the vaccine as lots of women have reported similar. Yeah, I'm really pleased with his SA and he's feeling really hopeful. He wants us to postpone the IVF for 3 months, which I'm thinking of agreeing to. I'll maybe call abc tomorrow and schedule my treatment consultation for August/September. I might as well give DH a chance to show off his new and improved swimmers 😁

I started doing OPKs on CD11 but yesterday (CD13) I was out visiting friends in Banbury so I could only test before we left and after we returned (at like 2am). OPK in the morning was -ve but OPK in night time was +ve so I have no idea if it was the beginning or the end of my surge. I'll have to test loads today but I feel when I ovulate anyway so will update FF accordingly. Is FF down for you today?

Luckily, the sickle cell gene is recessive, so DH would also need to be carrier for our kids to inherit the actual disease. Fortunately, he isn't, so the worst our kids can be are carriers, like me. It doesn't come with symptoms but it does mean that some of my red blood cells are sickle shaped so my haemoglobin results can be a bit abnormal at times. I'm guessing your DP's condition is a dominant gene so it could get passed on whether you have it or not? The HFEA form you fill in for IVF asks about any genetic conditions so they may need you to get your embryos tested so only healthy embryos get transferred.

Haha so she's not vegetarian - just chickenatarian or whatever the actual name for it is (if it exists). Would you ever consider going vegetarian? I've tried but I like meat too much!

Yes, a different coloured bouquet for the maid of honour is a good idea. All my bridesmaids wore different dresses in the same colour but my maid of honour chose a dress that was a slightly different material and embellished it with a belt. Maybe you can also consider the same dress in a different colour for her? I made personalised hangers for my bridesmaids too, with their names, role and a little pink bow.

Yes, DH's family have been trying to visit but their flights keep getting cancelled so we're hoping to have them over at Christmas. Hopefully Greece gets added to the Green List soon so we can visit them. DH misses them loads and I feel very sad for him. How about your birthday holiday to Greece? Will you reschedule?

Definitely agree about feeling bad for high street shops. The council needs to make parking free. In my area, the centre has free parking and it makes shopping so easy but in Reading town, there's so many car parks but all quite expensive! I've tried to stop shopping on Amazon and actually travel to the shops that sell the items I need, unless they're pretty niche.

I don't think I'd want a baby with me during my honeymoon. All the focus would be on the baby and we'd be less free to do what we wanted. I think it would be best to leave them with my parents. You'll probably be able to have a honeymoon straight away because you'd either be very early on in pregnancy or just about to start the IVF process!

Ommmmmggg!!! 😱😱 Sounds like a very, very painful mistake! 💉 when I got my bloods drawn on Thursday, the nurse doing it was moving the needle around in my arm and I'm sure she hit a nerve because my arm has felt weird since then! It's the most painful blood test I've had.

Wooow! You're CD6 and I'm CD14. Can't believe how far we are from each other. This must be the furthest we've ever been apart 😔

I would imagine the lower your BMI the higher the risk of OHSS, same with most medications, the lower your weight, the more they affect you. Do you save the conversations on a laptop or something? Otherwise surely they would take up lots of phone memory??

Omg make sure your DH doesn't inject you with the mixing needle! I've read horror stories on the infertility boards of this happening! The mixing needle is bigger than the injecting needle 😱.

What cycle day are you on now? You must be in your fertile period? I think you're about 8 days ahead of me!

DH's count has more than doubled and his motility is great! Only thing is his morphology has gone from 4% to 3%. I feel like with those numbers, it should happen naturally but now I'm worried there's something wrong with me and that's why it hasn't happened. We'll still probably go ahead with IVF but at least he now has loads of fast swimming sperm to choose from.

I'm currently sat in a restaurant at St. Paul's, London, waiting for DH's SA at 2:30pm. I also called in super early this morning to see if we could squeeze in our blood tests (HIV, Hep C, etc) as we were in London and we'd need it done before we started treatment. They said yes, so two birds one stone!

I was meant to have a blood test to check my iron levels but never went. I'm a sickle cell carrier (I just have the trait, not the full blown disease) so anaemia is something that's possible. However, because it's a blood disorder, I'm not even sure there would be anything I could do about it! I'll just be cold for the rest of my life 😱 were you raised vegetarian by your mum??

Haha I always record conversations that have crucial information in it. I just didn't want to miss anything but also wanted to play it back to DH so he had all the info too. It's mostly for my own benefit and nothing legal related. I have no idea if there's a link between OHSS and BMI?? Maybe the lower your BMI the better you respond to medication (I know it's the other way around for BMI > 30) so they have to be careful not to over stimulate my ovaries. Haha she's a lovely lady and is very thorough with her words but I guess it means nothing gets lost or misunderstood along the way. I'll send you the recording I took 😂😂😂 transcribing it all would take forever!

I got a bit emotional yesterday. So I asked the department PA to book in leave for medical reasons. She told me I didn't need to book leave if it was medical but that I had to confirm that it was medical first so that she could put it in the calendar. I ended up telling her I was having IVF and she said that if I needed any extra time off to recover that I should let her know. And my heart broke because I couldn't believe I was actually having IVF. But, I'll be keeping my annual leave! Yay!

😱 No refunds for covid 😱 no credit card payments 😱 Wow! I can't believe that. That's not fair at all. There's so much uncertainty right now but they expect you to take take all the risk. At least getting 50% back would be a fair compromise. Terrible! The dresses are lovely and perfect for a summer wedding! Will your maid of honor and DP wear something different?

Semi-rural is defo better. We have loads of greenery here and a huge field just round the corner but with a very busy town not too far away. I haven't really been into Reading that frequently. I usually drive to where I need to go and I haven't had a reason to go into town at all. DH likes taking long walks into town. It's about a 30 minute walk, which isn't too bad, but I wouldn't do it everyday. Do you go into your closest town/city regularly?

You've never seen your DP cry? I've seen DH cry but he is a cry baby 😂 you never know, seeing his beautiful future wife walking down the aisle might be the thing that sets him off. Gosh! I haven't even thought about a honeymoon. We'd have to take the baby with us or leave them with my parents 😱 I wonder if life with a baby will mean it'll never happen!

DH feels confident and says he understand what he needs to do after watching the vids. We shall see about that! I hope he doesn't inject me wrong. There's one medication that needs to be mixed and has two separate needles - one for mixing and one for injecting. I'll probably do that bit myself and just get DH to inject me.

We're going to start leaving for the clinic now. DH will be relieving himself while I get my bloods done then he'll get his bloods done too 😁

Those graphs are interesting and it's good that at your level, there aren't any negative impacts. In fact the 2-2.5 level has the best results! If you think you might be anemic, try eating more red meat. I eat lean steak and a beef burger once or twice a week. My Mum doesn't eat any red meat and she's anemic.

My Mum's been against vaccines for a while, she believes that they cause autism, even though the Doctor that made those claims has been struck off and discredited. So when it kicked off with Covid, she was ready to lap up every anti-vax claim out there. She now spreads a lot of misinformation on Facebook, it really annoys me but she's too far gone, I don't have the energy to battle with her anymore.

Take medical leave if you can, save your annual leave for when you can do something fun! I think people are traveling less in general now, now that there's more homeworking, so hopefully the trains will remain relatively quiet.

Annoyingly most suppliers want you to pay by bank transfer (so you don't get credit card protection) and the T&C's are written to protect them, not the customer. But I have no choice, everywhere is the same. Our venue has brilliant payment terms but everything else is pretty standard and doesn't allow refunds for covid. The attached pics are the kind of dresswear I'm thinking for the bridesmaids and groomsmen 😊.

Do you think if your parents moved to Durham, you might move there? Lol yes the beaches here are often cold and very windy! I don't like pebbled beaches because they hurt your feet and I don't like sandy beaches because you end up bringing the sand home, it gets everywhere! I also don't like deep water as I'm not very good at swimming. So UK beaches aren't for me 😂😂

New builds are awful, such poor build quality and often built on flood plains. It's shocking that developers are able to get away with building such crap and charge a premium for it! Ah poo! Sorry AF showed up. I was quite hopeful too. I would have loved for you to get your BFP this cycle and I get mine next cycle, then we could be pregnancy buddies 😔 Maybe the stars will align and we'll both end up pregnant next cycle ✨ But we'll absolutely need to time it better the second time round, I'd hate to move onto the pregnancy boards and leave you behind, but of course I'll stay right here on this thread until we both have our babies. I decided to look into a study on TSH and IVF and the attached graphs show good stats so I'm a little less concerned now. You have a really good TSH level! I think if you didn't have the fluid in your tubes, you'd get pregnant really easily! I think I might suffer from hypothyroidism because I'm always cold or maybe I'm just anaemic. I think you can take iodine supplements to help with thyroid levels, but I'm too close to IVF to try anything new so I'll leave it. I'm only taking folic acid and Vit D now. I've also had my last can of cider, so no more alcohol going forward.

Yes, when I spoke to the consultant I asked about OHSS and she said, and I quote her words exactly (because I recorded the conversation), "absolutely, these are polycystic ovaries [...] but it wouldn't matter even though you had 10 on each ovary. I am not going to give you a huge amount of medication to begin with. We're going to take it slowly. What we have to remember is that you're 28. You're young. What we also have to remember is your BMI is 22.8. We have to be mindful of that. We have to be mindful that you have got good ovarian reserve [...] so we're going to start you on a small dose, we're only going to start you on 112.5 of the medication. If for any reason when we scan you on day 5 and we haven't got good stimulation, then of course, we can increase it. But we will not start you on huge amounts and then just go, 'Oh, what are we going to do now?'" If you'd like, I can send you the whole conversation, it's pretty long 😂

Oh dear, how did your mum get sucked in? Was it through Facebook? There is so much misinformation flying around, it can be hard to separate fact from fiction. I'm now torn between taking annual leave or medical leave. But I have so many days left that maybe it wouldn't even matter. I'll be driving to my scans in Oxford and DH will attend the first one to confirm his identity. Getting public transport through London for EC and ET will be tricky! I hope my full ovaries won't be too uncomfortable. When I went for my TSH blood test on Friday, there were lots of seats on the train and on the tube, so I hope it remains like that. Yeah, you're right about hospitals and being difficult. It's still so unfair that women can't get moral support when going through something so difficult. Maybe by the time you start IVF, the rules would have changed.

Are there any clauses in contracts you've signed about refunds due to covid? It would suck to lose it all, especially when business would be quite reluctant to give it back. Have you thought about what your bridal party would wear?

Agreed. I'd also want to stay close to family so highly doubt I'd ever leave the South. My mum worked in Durham for a while and now she's thinking about buying a small house and moving there with my dad. I'm surprised you don't like beaches. I imagine this idyllic setting, with surfers and sea life and lots of fun, but I suppose with UK weather, it's gloomy and windy 90% of the time 😂 We have that here too in Reading, there's always one major construction work or another happening. A lot of new builds were built on marshy, sewer land 🤢 I'm guessing you'll be looking in a more rural location then?

We had some Greek guests drop out of the wedding last minute because of covid so we ended up with about 250 people, which is still a lot! Only a small fraction were mine and DH's friends, the rest were family and friends of family! 90 is a reasonable number, I wish ours was that small and intimate.

Haha! I got sent a consultation guide and it had the instruction videos to the injections linked, so I watched them. Now I have to get DH to watch it at least 5 times so he 100% knows what to do. Injections will start on CD2, I guess to make sure that AF has properly started.
