Hey @ButterscotchBabe! Continuing our chat here 😁

I loooove that your temps did exactly what mine did too. So good that AF hasn't arrived at CD26!! Happy for you! When your temps increased last month, was it is to a gradual high or did it jump up again and then AF started? Because if this pattern is new, it could mean good news!

Ours definitely look like the beginning of a triphasic chart. My temps last month started dropping at 7DPO, so it still being high at 9DPO is such an achievement for me and no sign of AF either although my vulva feels AF'y in a weird way. My pulse and breathing rate have also continued to shoot up!! If temps don't tell you AF is coming, pulse rate defo will because it always starts falling a few days before AF for me.

I do suspect chemical but no BFP so can't confirm and nothing else changed that cycle so I can't explain it. Hormones were defo the reason I never took the pill, it plays such a big part in changing your reproductive cycle that of course it would have an affect on cycles after you come off them! 45 day cycles sound like a nightmare - especially when TTC too.

I do have a FRER! I'm always so scared to use it though. I always use rubbish ICs which probably aren't the best thing but I will use my FRER with you!

I like predicting what my temps will do with DH. What do you think will happen tomorrow? I think both our temps will go up again 😆

7dpo would be way too early to ovulate so I think it's safe to assume it was a random spike. Did it come back down today or keep going up? My temps go down as slowly as they go up. They've been steadily dropping since AF started and they'll keep dropping for a few more days I think. I've ask DH to keep his sperm fresh by doing his business every other day until we can start DTD, which'll probably be from tomorrow! Or CD8. Or CD10. Or CD12!

That's soo far away! But it's better than nothing. Will you be having investigations done on the same day or it's just an appointment to sit and chat with a consultant? Hopefully they can give you an appointment for 21 days bloods straight after! Will your DP be going too? Might as well check his swimmers!

I actually joked with DH that since I had eggs in abundance that I could probably donate about 100 a month and not make a dent in my reserves but thinking about it seriously, I'm not sure I could! Just the thought that I'd have little unCliche's out there in the world, it's a bit of a tricky one. Would you be able to forget about all the kids that you'd potentially be genetically related to?? I guess it's about how well you can live with yourself after.

Yes, B6 is the one you want for progesterone. And you'd need to take at least 50mg of it for it to make an impact on fertility. You can take up to 200mg but above that, you risk some bad side effects. 100mg is a nice middle for me and apart from turning my pee luminous yellow, it's been fine. What are you taking the B-complex for? Your LP?

Unexplained fertility is even worse because then you can't do anything about it!! I know that's what I'm going to have. It's just my luck!

Yes and no, I need to be available to help partners and customers but for the most part, my job is about learning. So doing anything to further my knowledge is within the scope of the job description. Ah so do you look at receipts, summate everything and then call them up on fraud when the numbers don't add up?

Haha they'll never not be a time when you don't make mistakes with sewing!! Glass blowing is also another one I'd consider!!

Boob pain is probably just down to progesterone, not much I can do about it. I guess I'm just more sensitive to the hormone than others. I don't really take painkillers, but I'm not a medication sort of person anyway. I suffer through it and then it's gone in a week.

The black and white make is just a toile, which is a practice garment, basically. I made it to make sure the pattern would work before I cut into my teal fabric. And last night I cut into it! But I didn't have enough fabric for the top and the skirt! So I had to think on my feet to come up with an alternative design option. So I made a semi-circle skirt instead, which gave me room to cut the top out too. But I cut it out in the wrong position so now I have to make up the waist band with side seams instead of having just one continuous band... See... Mistakes. They happen but you deal with them 😉

Haha after his meeting, he came up and hugged me and said he still loves me 😂😭

Oh no! I'd hate to work in the same room as DH. He's always in meetings and I hate his meeting voice!! It would annoy me so much, so I'm glad we have four separate floors in the house to choose from. there's always somewhere to go to escape him!

We've been without hot water for over a week! The plumber is here now fixing it. Hopefully I can finally get a nice hot shower and no more bucket baths!

Had a weird spike in temp this morning, slept fine, took it same time as normal and haven't drank alcohol since Sunday, so don't know what would cause that 😕. I guess it doesn't really matter in the follicular phase, just thought it was strange! How's your temp doing?

I got a letter from the fertility clinic today and have my first consultation on 3rd March. I'm pleased to have that booked in, shame I've gotta wait 6 weeks though. So I'll be at the end of my next cycle (cycle 8) by the time I speak to them.

I was reading their price list and if you're prepared to give up some of your eggs for donor eggs, you get the IVF practically free. We could really do with not spending the money but I don't know if I could live with someone else having my babies 😕, what do you think?

The pack of B vitamins says to take 2 but I'm only taking 1 as most of them are massively over the RDA, so I'll only be getting 5mg of B6. Is B6 the most important one for fertility?

I don't think your hormones are too far off as your luteal phase is okay but unfortunately some couples end up with 'unexplained infertility', where nothing appears to be wrong but pregnancy just isn't happening. You're not doing anything wrong so don't beat yourself up. Sooner or later you will have a baby, it's just how much it's gonna cost 😂, hopefully nothing!

Haha I'd love to have twins, it's like buy one get one free 😂😂😂

Ooh that sounds interesting, I don't have an Alexa so I don't know much about them, do you get to choose what projects you work on? A lot of my work is assessing grant expenditure claims, so projects will do some work and then claim back the money from us but they need to evidence the work they've done and prove what money they've spent.

Haha yes some people are very talented, as are you! I'd like to try pottery or glass making but as a hobby I think I'll just stick to sewing for now. I've still got so much to learn, I look forward to creating something without making mistakes 😂.

Oh no, that's awful, have you tried taking painkillers? I don't know what would cause such bad boob pain, obviously it's hormones but it's weird that some people get it and some don't.

The black and white contrast looks really cool! It's also quite slimming with the black sides and white in the middle (not that you needed it to be!).

Thanks I'll look for some kraft roll paper 😊.

I don't know about Management, I do quite like things my own way 😂 which you can only do if you're the Manager! I'm not sure how good I would be at handling people though. I think I remember you saying you didn't want to go into Management, as your DH job is much more stressful?

😂😂😂😂😂😂 Omg that's hilarious!! I feel sorry for your DH though 😂😂. Is he still mad? That would have been quite embarrassing!

WFH is mostly okay, we've set up an office but it's quite a small room and we're sat pretty close, so it's awkward if we're both on the phone at the same time!

I've never understood why catwalk designs are so strange but yeh maybe they inspire the latest fashion but a toned down version lol.

I hope they work for you!! My only concern is that yours only has 10mg of B6 but every little helps! I think you and I are pretty much taking the same vitamins now (minus the agnus castus and magnesium/zinc). I actually ordered a multi-mineral from Holland & Barrett because it contained a nice mix of some minerals that help with general health.

I got back the breakdown of DH's SA. 64% of his sperm are progressively motile so they should be getting to where they need. So, unless there isn't enough of them, something is going wrong somewhere and it probably is me! I know I'm physically normal, but hormonally, I can't be sure. I've never taken hormonal contraceptives so I'm not sure where in my lifestyle I'm going wrong to have caused this 😔

There's this thing with IVF where if you don't end up conceiving, you get your money back. I think with a guarantee like that, I wouldn't mind how much I paid, because it would be worth it if I got a baby out of it and if I didn't, then at least I'd get my money back. I'd have to do proper research on clinics that are around. I just chose the nearest one 😂 At the clinic I went to, IVF is £4676 and £5825 when embryo freezing and one year storage is included.

I've only ever heard of clomid, never gonadotropins but just looked into it and it's basically FSH and LH, which I guess makes sense as they are what allows eggs to mature. You may finally get those twins I've been predicting! 😁

I lack motivation with work too. But DH has really started pushing me to do something. I'm pretty self-sufficient with work so I've started working on a project where I programme an Amazon Alexa to communicate information and data about the infrastructure of the network it's on. It's going to involve a bit of coding, but I'm actually looking forward to it. That should keep me occupied in the daytime/afternoon. What sort of things do you do at work?

I think I'm happy with sewing. I would love to learn something like carpentry or pottery. I love people who can create things with their hands. I could watch pottery TV shows for hours. The minds of some people! 🤯 But sewing is the easiest thing to do for now. Are there any hobbies that are a bit "out there" or unique that you'd love to learn?

I've never been someone who suffered from menstrual cramps but I've also noticed a great reduction in pain. I just wish it would extend to my boobs too!!! Sometimes I just want to cry from the pain 😭

Well, how I see it is, everyone has a past and even though things don't work out with an ex, the least we can do for them is be happy when they've moved on and found love in someone else. I have no reason to feel sad or jealous or annoyed that an ex is doing fine without me. The only way I'd feel those things is if I wasn't over them. And if that's the case, then I really should be single!

Haha the pattern did look weird. I stitched it together and with my first attempt I created the toile in the white cotton only. But you can't really see the style lines, plus I didn't like the shape of the curves so I redrafted it and used a contrasting black fabric on the curved areas. I think I like attempt no.2 the best. The shape is much better.

For paper, I just buy cheap kraft rolls. It's the brown rolls you wrap presents with. I iron it flat and I'm good to go. You can get them from anywhere. But as they're so disposable, the cheaper the better. So look in the likes of Wilkos, Poundland, etc.

Yes, a curve for the neckline would be better. You can trace around the existing neckline to create the pattern for it.

Management is a good way to move up the corporate ladder. He should go for it! Would you ever go into management?

WFH is fine. I'm usually upstair in the study or in the bedroom and DH is downstairs in the living room. And the most embarrassing thing happened today! I cringe so much thinking about it. So, I've just recieved the breakdown of DH's SA and I'm so excited, so I'm literally barrelling down the stairs and like the clumsy fool I am, I shout out "told you I'd get your sperm results!!" and DH is in a meeting with the microphone on!!!! The look on his face!! He was pisssssssed! Omg, I felt terrible!! Apparently everyone on the call went quiet 😭😭😭😭😭😭

How are you finding WFH with your DP?

Avant Garde really is a weird one. Not sure what the point is but maybe they inspire mainstream fashion? 🤷‍♀️

B vitamins arrived today! I'm CD7 so hopefully that's early enough to make a difference, I'll have to wait until end of cycle to find out!

That would be cool to see the sperm swimming! But you probably don't need to, I think it's safe to trust their judgement. You don't know that there is a problem with you, your cycle is normal, your tests have come back normal, I think you just need time 🙂.

Yep it looks like the clinic here includes the same things you have listed with medication an additional cost. IVF is £3300, frozen embryo storage £455 per year and £880 for frozen embryo transfer (incase first fresh IVF cycle doesn't work). Yeh it might be worth you shopping around, there's probably a few clinics/hospitals in your area and they'll be loads in London. That was really good how quick you were seen after making contact. I guess it's the same with everything, the more you pay the quicker you get seen. If you want to save money you have to wait. Maybe you could find a middle ground, somewhere a little cheaper but that doesn't keep you waiting for ages like mine. I just typed Fertility and the area in Google, as it's the only one it was pretty easy to find. You could find out if your local NHS hospital treats self funded patients for fertility.

Haha well I could be starting on clomid or gonadotropins within the next couple of months, so I wanted to read about other people's experiences. I'm hoping I can get gonadotropins as they have a higher success rate but they're mainly used before IVF because they make you produce more eggs, so if you have the medication alone, there's a higher chance of multiple pregnancy! Clomid is similar but doesn't produce as many eggs, so you're more likely to just release one.

Well done for finding those charts! That's really interesting and does give hope for short luteal phases!

I completely understand how you're feeling with the lockdown, it's definitely becoming harder the longer it drags on. Is your job keeping you busy? I find I don't have much time to think about TTC during the day. At least fertility treatments have not stopped, so this time isn't being wasted. You're doing everything you can to TTC and now you have a plan of action if you don't conceive by Easter.

Is there maybe a new hobby or skill you could learn to help keep your mind off TTC? Maybe knitting, painting, learning a language, professional courses, baking? Also do you have zoom catch ups with friends? I know it's not the same but it does help you keep connected to people.

I think how much each woman bleeds is going to vary massively, I wouldn't read too much into one figure. My flow is heavy for CD1 and CD2, then light for the following 3/4 days. I use tampons and pads so I don't know what the volume is. It's amazing how my period pain has greatly reduced since taking folic acid with vitamin D, I've had horribly painful periods for years.

Wow that's quite a different approach, I think most people would feel uncomfortable meeting their partners ex's or their ex's partner but it's a good thing that you wouldn't! Yeh it was quite awkward at dance when they were there, we just tried to avoid them 😂.

I have no idea what body parts those patterns are for 😂 but I'm sure it will turn out amazing! You'll have to post a pic when you've made the practice one. Where can I buy a roll of paper? Is there any particular paper you would recommend? At the moment I'm sticking pieces of A4 paper together with selotape 😂. Ah so for future necklines I'll try and cut out a curve!

Yep bit confusing lol, so DP and I both worked there, he left and now has applied for a job there again 😂. I'm not sure what he wants to do long term, he has skills in data but he's also very good with people, so I think he should aim to gain management experience.

How are you and your DH coping with working from home? Have you got a proper office set up or have you had to take over another room?

Aww that's lovely and really cute your Dad had a pic of them as his background! My Mum wasn't too surprised but she'd seen us dancing a lot together, so may have suspected something!

I find it really odd that you see loads outrageous designs on the catwalk, like who actually buys them?!

unCliche · 19/01/2021 11:45

I actually messaged the clinic yesterday asking for a full breakdown of DH's results. I'm tempted to ask for the video recorded from the microscope so I can see them swimming myself! But I suppose with DH's "good quality" swimmers, the problem mostly lies with me! I wish I'd just done the progesterone test and left the blood sitting for a while then repeated it next cycle 😪

😱 £895! We're being ripped off!! This is what the price includes:

  • nurse planning appointment
  • counselling
  • HFEA fee
  • blood tests for HIV, Hep B and Hep C
  • monitoring bloods and ultrasound scans during the treatment cycle
  • 1 review consultation or early pregnancy
scan.

Medication is a separate cost too. Is that the same at your clinic? We might have to shop around if there are cheaper places. The only thing I can't complain about is the turnaround, they've been pretty quick.

Ugh men and their egos! God forbid it's ever their fault. That's why many women suffer with childlessness - because their idiot partner refuses to acknowledge anything could be wrong with him. Also, why are you on the infertility boards?? Tut tut! P.S. If we used fertility treatment, I wouldn't mention anything 🙈.

For what it's worth, if it'll give you some hope, I was searching on FF with my new premium account 🤩 and I was looking at charts of women who conceived with short LPs. It took this woman 12 months to conceive with an 8 day LP. After 7 months this woman found success with a 10 day LP. Hers actually resembles my pattern with a similar min and max temp, coverline and rise and fall. So there's hope for us after all!

You're much more positive about TTC than me. I wish I had your optimism. Being in lockdown just makes everything that more depressing. There's nothing to do and nowhere to go and TTC is the only thing to think about. Last night I drank quite a bit and I was just so sad about everything. Being stuck indoors, having no motivation, conception taking its time. I'm pretty mentally and emotionally strong but this is really starting to take its toll. My life used to be so vibrant! Full of activities and people. Now I barely make it out of bed each day. Mondays turn into Saturdays which turn into bank holidays and there's no difference... Just the same old monotony. Anyway let's sprinkle some positivity onto this thread 🧚‍♀️

Did you search anything in particular to find this clinic? Maybe we need to be looking at NHS clinics too since they're considerably cheaper!

AF is going ok. I've noticed it's gotten much lighter but I did a search on google to find out how much blood should actually be lost during AF and the number was like 80ml or something. My menstrual cup has measurements lines on it and on day 1 I think I lost about 45ml, yesterday about 25ml and today I'd probably lose a little more so what I must have been experiencing before were heavy periods! I used to be able to fill the cup several times a day on CD1 and was very perplexed when I read a woman on here emptied her cup once every 8-12 hours on CD1!! What's your flow like?

Yeah, I'm his first non-Greek lover 😁 I don't think I'd find meeting his exes awkward. I love bringing up his ex girlfriend but just because he hates it. If I met her I definitely wouldn't care that they had a thing before. If I met my exes new girlfriend I'd probably hug her and tell her she's very pretty, because she is! Did your DPs exes still attend dance class even after you guys got together? I think that would definitely be awkward - for them.

The only stitch I need is straight. If I'm sewing button holes, then I'll use that. Zig-zag if a fabric is terribly fraying and that's it really. I started drafting my pattern last night. I'm going to make a toile first to get some practice and see if it'll work. I think I'll adjust the curves a bit, I already don't like it. With your top, what you have is a gaping neckline. It happens. The culprit was having the top and bottom of the neck band the same length. Plus you have stretch fabric which is a pest in it's own right. I do actually like the neckline though, it adds something different to the top 😍

Oh your DP used to work at the same company as you, then left and now he wants to go back? Or has he always been there but he's applying internally? Has he applied at other companies. If he wants to work in IT, London would be his best bet. I know it's much more expensive to live there and commuting would be a nightmare but if he can mostly WFH, it might be fine. Plus the pay will be really good.

My parents looooooove DH. At one point my dad had a photo of him and DH as his phone background image 😂😂 They can see I'm really happy with him 😁 Was your mum surprised when you guys started dating?

Yeah, I'll have quite a bit left over and I can't imagine I'd want to make anything teal again. I'll think of something to add. Avant Garde always sounds like a good idea but the designs are so outrageous that you'd never actually wear them in real life!

The top isn't finished yet but now I've stuck the bias binding to the neck it's made it stick out, whereas before it was flat on my skin. Do you know why it's done this? Do I need to cut the fabric in a circle rather than straight when making bias binding for the neck?

The letter doesn't really tell you anything you didn't already know 😂. Although it's good to have those figures written down. Hopefully you won't need to go back to them but it's good to have a plan, at least you know Easter isn't too far away.

IUI is £895 at the clinic here, £1500 is quite a lot, does that include consultations and medications? I think I would tell people we got help, there's a bit of a stigma around it and I think it should be more openly talked about. Infertility is a medical condition and it should be treated like one, I don't think people should be ashamed to need help to conceive. I read on the infertility board, one lady's husband made her tell her in-laws it was her with the problem, when actually it was him but he was too embarrassed to tell his parents and I think that's sad.

When af arrives I just think about the next fertile period and look forward to doing OPKs, spotting the positive and the EWCM, then looking out for temp rises. All that keeps me going, it gives me something to focus on and something to look forward to. I would encourage you to do the same, just try and think of the next cycle as getting closer to your BFP 😊.

How's your af going? I thought mine had stopped yesterday then today it kinda came back but just light.

Yeh I'm gonna start OPKs a bit later this cycle, probably CD12 as well, I don't ovulate until CD15 or CD17. Hehe cool! I much prefer the look of the premium account and it's handy that it shows the DPO, so you don't have to count the dots! It will be funny if you now get pregnant this cycle 😂.

Yep that's right, they're an NHS clinic that takes NHS patients and self-funded patients. However some staff will have been diverted due to covid so they aren't able to do as many appointments or treatments per day. I did look into some private hospitals in Bristol but they're more expensive, so we'll have to just wait it out.

2 of the women were at dance, one was at a house party and the other was during a Xmas reunion with his old uni friends. So he's only been with you since being in the UK? When did he move here? Haha I don't know if you would like it, it's quite awkward but does depend on the person! I don't think DP would really care, he's quite confident and has high self esteem, so I don't think he would feel threatened by them. He's taller and better looking than them anyway so he wouldnt need to worry 😂😂.

Haha I've used more stitches recently as I've been experimenting with stretch, buttons and embroidery but most of them probably won't be used. Do you use many different stitches or just stick to a few trusty ones?

He hasn't heard back yet about the job, the organisation he's applied for (same place I work), are very slow with recruitment!

Yes my Mum knew DP for years before I did 😂😂, which kinda made it easier when introducing him as BF because she already liked him as a person. Do your parents like your DH?

I just googled Avant Garde, there's some very unique designs! You'll have to find something else to do with the air mesh, as I'm guessing you'll have some leftover if you're not using it for the skirt? Maybe a netted top over the top part of the dress, or netted sleeves.

Hehe yeah! You were right. I started spotting in the evening and I knew it was all over at that point 😂So yeah, that's why I was a bit down. I'm always sad after AF shows up. I guess all I can do is give things more time. I've been researching how to increase sperm count today. I might even work out this evening with DH to get ourselves fit and healthy. 🏋️‍♀️

We'll definitely shrink that gap, even if I have to will my body to ovulate at the same time as yours 😄I probably won't continue checking CM and I'll keep OPKs to a minimum, maybe starting at CD12. I bought FF premium for a year today, I copied you 😁! Cycle 5 with no hope of getting pregnant any time soon, so I might as well.

Mid feb is a whole month away 😱 So from what I understand, they are an NHS clinic that also takes private appointments? And that's why there's a bit of a wait?

DH and I (but mostly I) have decided that if we're not pregnant by Easter, we'll do further checks and maybe start looking into treatment. We'll probably consider IUI first and see if that works for us. Each treatment is £1500, which is ok I think. Obviously, I'd rather make a baby for free but it is what it is. If you conceived with treatment, would you tell people? Or would you just pretend it happened naturally? I'm not sure what I'd do tbh.

Well, apparently Agnus Castus needs 3 months to actually start working and since I'm taking a lower dose it might take even longer. It's probably been the combination of the other vitamins helping the most. I've ordered more vitamins as some are starting to run low.

Haha omg! Did you meet them at dance?? That must have been awkward. I've never met any of DHs exes but they're in Greece. I would love to meet one of his exes though!!! I think it would be hilarious. How do you think your DP would react if he met one of yours?

Oh yeah, I completely get that. I also look for the best that I can afford too! No wonder your sewing machine has about 100 different stitches 😂 Have you used many of them yet?

Oh no, I didn't realise your DP would be out of work! What's going to happen now? Did he get the data architect interview?

It's funny how being at the right place at the right time changes everything! And that means your mum met him first! Did she like him as a BF for you?

That's annoying, sorry the design didn't work out. At least you know for next time 😁 Once you're done, I'd love to see it!! I'm thinking I'll just have the main fabric as the skirt. I was going for avant garde but actually I think simple is better sometimes.

OP posts:
ButterscotchBabe · 17/01/2021 16:17

Ah my prediction of your af starting today was right 😉. Sorry that is has come though, even though you were expecting it, it still feels like a set back every time af arrives ☹️. Is that why you were sad yesterday because you were expecting af?

Haha brilliant seminar!! It seems that watery CM is a sign of estrogen taking over from progesterone, ready to start the next cycle. So at the moment we're 4 days apart but I reckon we can shrink that gap with ovulation 😊.

Nope haven't had a call yet, I re-read the email and it seems they'll ring me when an appointment becomes available, so I might not hear from them for a few weeks ☹️. If I haven't heard by mid Feb then I'll contact them again and chase it.

I think 11 day LP is fine, I've read you need a minimum of 10 days so you should be okay 👍. So the Agnus Castus didn't make any noticeable changes this cycle? Unfortunately the B vitamins haven't arrived yet, which is annoying because they'll probably arrive too late to affect this cycle.

Oh no lol sat-navs can be a nightmare if there are multiple turnings close together, I find they're often a few seconds behind! If I'm driving somewhere for the first time I try and do a test run, so that on the day I know where I'm going but that's not always possible. Haha yeh work relationships either turn out amazing or awful, there's not really a middle ground because if you split up, you can't easily avoid them! My DP has never met my ex's but I've met 4 women he's slept with, one being an ex, the others just casual. I probably gave them evil looks 😂😂.

Nothing in particular but when I decide I want something, I like to get the best quality I can afford. So the sewing machine was quite pricey and we recently bought a printer/scanner that was probably more techy than we really needed. More regular things would be clothes, shoes and make-up although I've spent less on these the past year. That's great to be putting away so much each month, that will definitely help when buying baby stuff! The max we can save is £2000 a month (about half our wages) but that's with only buying essentials. I can't remember if I previously said but DP will be out of work at the end of Jan, so he's stopped saving, so now it's only me putting into the pot.

Aww that's sweet! I'd probably say a similar thing with DP, my 2 previous long term relationships were awful, I knew it wasn't right with them. I got third time lucky! I could have met him years earlier as I knew about the dance classes because my Mum went but I just wasn't interested back then. However I now know he was in a relationship for some of that time, so I think we both met at the right time in our lives 😊.

I've had to chop off the sleeves 😭😭 the material was just completely wrong for the design, so now I'm turning the baggy jumper into a tight sleeveless top! Possibly gonna add some embellishments to make it more blingy!

Oooh the top is cool, I particularly love the back! For the skirt, maybe the air mesh could go on top of the other fabric, rather than underneath it?

🤓 If you look here to the chart on the left 👈, you'll be able to observe my final masterpiece. As you can see, AF was predicted a day prior, with the sudden fall in body temperature on the day of 26. This day also saw some pink spotting, as well as watery CM, indicating an unexpected increase in estrogen 📈. Although this chart did not result in pregnancy ❌, the concluding results shows a body ready to nourish a baby, with stable LP temperatures and a just-about-enough LP. With that being said, I now welcome you to share your comments, observations and questions 🙋‍♀️. Thank you for attending my seminar on unCliche's body.

Haha I guess doing them gives you some control and if you're anything like me, you'll know how hard it is to give up control! Especially when it's something you want to badly! Did you ever get a call back about your first fertility appointment?

My final LP was 11 days. I think it's ok. I would have preferred longer but maybe I'm just an 11 day LP sort of girl. I'm not sure if I've fixed my body or not but my temps being their highest ever can't be a bad thing. I might increase my dose of Agnus Castus up to the recommended 1000mg from today, CD1. How have you been finding the B Vitamins? You bought quite a low dose so I think you won't experience any weird symptoms. I don't feel any different with the vitamins but something seems to be working so I'll keep taking all of mine.

Aww cutee!! I used to take the bus and then when I passed my driving test, I started driving to work. I remember the first day I drove, it took me an hour to do a 10 minute journey because the sat nav took me somewhere wrong!! And I kept taking wrong turnings too! I called DH up crying because I was so lost 😂 I actually dated a guy from work. Worst relationship of my life, and not because we were colleagues. When we broke up, it was really awkward. But eventually we started talking again just before he went back home to Hungary. I used to live near him and sometimes our paths would cross and there were times I'd be with DH, and the ex and DH would give each other such death stares. I kinda wished they'd fought for my honour there and then 🤼‍♂️ 😂

Oh, I am a very scary lady 😉😈

Haha what sort of expensive things do you like?? I'm definitely a huge saver! I used to put aside 50%+ of my salary into savings. I now put in about 45% because I lost my car allowance which was £400 a month after tax 😭😭😭😭😭 But I'm getting a 5% pay rise starting this month so hopefully more can go into savings. Between DH and I, we put aside about £3000 a month, which has really helped with buying a house but we'd probably save a little less going forward as our mortgage is about £300 more than our rent. How much % of your salary do you save?

Yes, I believe in the universe but whether or not the universe is synonymous with God, I don't know, however, I do know that some things are meant to happen. Meeting DH was definitely a result of fate. There were so many weird and familiar things about him that made me, say "hold on a second, maybe I really do need to see where this goes". And I 100% don't regret it! Everything just feels/felt right! Are there any experiences you've had that feels like fate?

Oh that was a quick sewing make! I was too sad to sew yesterday so I stayed in bed for the whole day, way beyond 4:30pm 😁 Here's the design for the teal. I like the top, but not sure of the skirt

Yep still doing BBT and OPK I could never not do them now 😂😂.

Well that's a good sign you haven't spotted yet, hopefully you'll get an extra day on your luteal phase!

Yeh I used to drive to work, DP used to work at the same place a couple of years ago, that was nice because we used to drive to work together and have a coffee break and lunch together! Do you think you'd be able to work with your DH?

😂😂😂😂 Scary! Well I hope he learnt his lesson and doesn't keep trying to put veg on your plate!

Nah I wouldn't want to be a stay at home Mum unless DP was super rich! We'd be poor on only one wage and I like expensive things 😂😂. Also if I didn't earn my own money I'd be dependent on him giving me some of his and I would not like him being in control of what I can buy! That's great that you're quite comfortable financially, if you haven't already, I would recommend having savings, you never know what life can throw at you!

Thank you, I wish I had your confidence! Unfortunately permanent positions do get a lot of applicants but I can only do my best. I believe in fate, I believe what ever happens, happened because it was supposed to. So if I don't get this job, maybe something better is around the corner! Do you believe in fate?

So I pretty much made the top and the stretch fabric was absolutely fine, no issues. The only problem was I intended to make a baggy jumper but it doesn't work with the fabric, this fabric needs a more figure hugging fit. So now I need to cut into it and try and tighten it! Oooh its a secret! Now I'm even more intrigued! Omg you hadn't got out of bed by 16.30?? Brilliant! That's my kinda weekend 😂😂😂

unCliche · 16/01/2021 16:32

Maybe not having the expectation to conceive will actually help you conceive. Will you still track BBT and do OPKs?

I don't think AF will come tomorrow. For the past two cycles I've spotted the day before she arrives and today, I'm blood free, so probably Monday is more likely, unless it starts out of nowhere! But at least the gap between us won't be as big as I thought it would be 💃

Nope, I'm nowhere near brave enough to cycle on the road! Someone would hit me from anger! At least I know I would if it was the other way around 😏 I just think on a bike, you're so exposed and you're surrounded by big, powerful vehicles. It's scary. Did you used to drive into work? Before COVID that is...

See that's what I mean about you being a nicer person!! You do it when he's not looking! I'd make sure he is looking and I'd stare him dead in the eyes as I returned to him what's rightfully his 🥗

I guess the only good thing we have going for us is technology. IVF and the ability to freeze eggs. But unfortunately it seems that that is something reserved for those who can afford it. We're lucky with the NHS but that still has limitations on who can have it and how many times it can be done.

There's been a lot of threads recently about being a stay at home mum. Personally, I love the independence and security having my own job brings. The thought of depending solely on DH makes me feel so uncomfortable - I couldn't do it. Our mortgage is affordable on either of our salaries alone and we could probably live on mine or his, but two salaries is also safer, especially after what we've been through with COVID. If I wasn't working and DH lost his job, then what? Could you give up your job to be a SAHM?

Ah, well that makes it a lot better! I don't know if people regularly search for internal job openings, I know I don't. So you probably won't have a lot of people apply. I think you've got this! 💪

That's a cute pink 👚 I hope it turns out great! Yes, I have a design for the teal but not decided on the skirt bit yet. The naughty and nice I'll keep a secret for now, but I've changed it slightly to the initial design and I need to think of the right fabric for it because the new idea requires at least 3 meters of fabric, which I don't have. I'm still busy moping around, but hopefully I'll get out of bed and start working on the pattern sometime this year! 😂

Oh no! Sorry to see your temp come down ☹️ but I think you can be rest assured your progesterone levels are good. Your temp has been high for a sustained period and your luteal phase is at least 10 days. So there should be nothing preventing a pregnancy 🙂.

I'm kinda stuck until I can get some help with ovulation and improving my progesterone levels, so I'm not expecting to conceive this cycle!

I reckon your af might start tomorrow, so you'd be on CD1 when I'm on CD5, so if I ovulate on CD17 (your CD13) and you on CD15 we'd be 2 days apart, like this cycle. That's my prediction anyway! Of course you're not out until af arrives, could always be an implantation dip!

The council's build lots of cycle lanes here, the problem is arrogant cyclists don't use them! Complete waste of tax payers money! I probably have cycled on a road at some point in my life but I can't remember as I don't cycle very often. I don't even have a bike anymore, do you?

Omelette with stuffing 😱😱😱 omg I don't blame you for not wanting to eat that 😂😂. Haha I have sometimes taken veg off my plate and put it on his when he wasn't looking 😂😂.

The problem is evolution takes thousands of years, whereas women have only started working and having kids later in the past 60 years, so I think we're a long way off. For the first child id probably take 6-9 months off then go back full time but with a second child I'd probably have to reduce hours to part time, depending on the cost of nursery. With two young children nursery costs would double, so I'd have to way up which is better money wise.

Haha thanks but its internal only, so that does cut it down but as it's a national role anyone in the country can apply. I think I'll get an interview, I'm just not sure I'll pass it.

Yes I'm going to start on my next sewing make and going to use stretch material for the first time 😬. It's a medium thickness so hoping to make a jumper out of it. Have you decided what you're going to make with the teal air mesh? Oooh what are the naughty and nice ideas??

Yeaah! The website was down last night. I guess it's fixed now!

My temps definitely made a song and dance about coming down because they reaaaally came down. I can't say I'm surprised tbh! I knew I wouldn't be pregnant. I did an IC test too and BFN so that pretty much concludes this cycle 😅 In fact, I feel AF is on her way. I can feel the claws of her all over my existence.

Oh, also, my resting heart rate and breathing rate went down as well and nothing says AF like everything suddenly plummeting 😂😂

Good news that AF is coming to an end! You'll be living the good live while I'm drowning in red! I'm trying to do the maths to see how we could catch up. So, if AF starts today for me, I will be CD1 while you will be CD4 - Ok not the week that I thought! If I ovulate CD14 and you CD17 then I'll be 0dpo while you'll also be 0dpo!!! So we may be cycle buddies again!!!!!!

I agree, cyclists need to go! Maybe I should start a government petition! Or maybe the government needs to start building more cycle lanes! Have you ever cycled on a main road before?

Ugh, so after Xmas, we had some left overs in the fridge and my husband being the vacuum cleaner he is, decided to mix as much together as possible!! So he made an omelette with leftover stuffing, leftover potato salad and I'm sure many other disgusting things. And he was upset that I wouldn't eat it!! I literally only had to take one sniff of the thing to know it was poison! He begged me to taste it, that it was nice. And my good God it wasn't! I spat it out and made my own food 😂😂😂 I don't really like eating salad leaves, they just don't taste very nice unless they're mixed with other things. I'd probably pick my portion up and put it on his plate instead but I guess you're a nicer person than me!!

That biological clock is a real nuisance. And so many woman get so focussed on work that sometimes when they're finally ready for kids, it's too late! It's just so interesting that a lot of my friends are single or unmarried without kids and we're all in our late 20s. I wonder if we'll evolve to being fertile for longer because no one is having babies young anymore. I think once my kid is born, after my 6 month maternity leave, a phased return will be something I'd seriously consider, where I gradually do more hours as time goes on. How about you?

Oh no. I hope the competition isn't too tough. Maybe I should apply with a terrible application so you can stand out even more! In this climate where loads of people are looking for jobs maybe even a week would be too long. But you employer may just want to hire internally as it'll be cheaper for them to do so anyway so you probably have a better chance than most!

I can't believe how carefree they were with my siblings and how regimented they were with me. It's like parents make all the mistakes with their first born while using them as their practice child and then once the others come along, they feel too guilty to inflict the same torture!

Haha I don't think they were called Britannia Removals. They were a local company - trying to support local businesses and whatnot! 😁

Any plans for your weekend? Maybe I should finally start my next sewing project 😪 It'll probably be the teal garment. I'll leave naughty and nice for another day. I have new ideas for that that I think you might like 😁

I tried to come on Mumsnet last night but the page wouldn't load, it kept saying 'host error', did you get that?

So today is the decider, has your temp come down as predicted or has it stayed it high???

Don't be silly 😂 you have DTD enough to get pregnant! I'm on CD4 and af is light now 🙂. The TWW is based on our ovulation date, so as I tend to ovulate later than you, that might bring our cycles a couple of days closer, like it did this time.

I agree I hate cyclists on the road, they're a danger, forcing cars to go on the other side of the road to get round them. I think they should be banned from the road if there is a cycle path available.

Hahaha what's he cooked that you've refused to eat? Sometimes if there's not enough veg on the plate DP will go to the fridge and grab salad and then try to put it on my plate as well 😱.

Yeh it's unfair that women have a much earlier biological clock than men as it's puts us under a lot of pressure, especially if we want a career as well. Do you think you would go part-time when the kids are young?

Yes lots of people will apply for it as permanent jobs in this organisation are hard to get! It's a bit specialised but lots of people already working here would probably have the skills. Our manager is only keeping the advert live for a week, in the hope that not so many people see it. I haven't submitted my application yet but I'll let you know if I get an interview!

Haha my parents expected obedience from me aswell but less so with each child that came after! First borns definitely get it the hardest!

Ah that's frustrating, I used to work for Britannia removals, they have lots of branches so they've probably got one in your area, might be worth a try. Although I hope they weren't the ones that didn't come back to you 😂.

unCliche · 15/01/2021 20:13

The only way I'd be pregnant is if God himself put a baby in me, and unless my name is Mary, I don't think that that has happened! 😂I don't want to think about testing too much or else I'll get really anxious and won't sleep for 48 hours straight this time 😂14DPO is still the plan as I'll be properly late then. So next Tuesday. Is AF still going on for you? What CD are you on?

No, I wasn't charged for the damage. Just got made fun of 😅they were relaxed about it and that's what insurance is for anyway! Oh roundabout accidents seem so scary. Some people literally fly around them. I had a woman do similar, where she pulled out whilst I was right in front of her! Luckily I was able to avoid her and honked my horn very displeasingly. I mostly hate cyclists on the road!!!!!! They're the worst!

I've enjoyed sharing my TWWs with you 😢A week is such a huge time difference! How will we symptom spot together!!

I'm the same way with sugar! I get so gassy, it's actually disgusting. I'm not a huge snacker so it's mostly controllable!

Haha! You should cook something ridiculously greasy and unhealthy and if he refuses to eat it, tell him to get in the kitchen and cook his own food 😂That being said, I did complain about DH's cooking today but I did eat it all!! The times I've refused to eat his concoctions, I've cooked my own food instead. I think I do the most cooking, but that's because I'm the least busy of the two of us.

Being alone is a legit fear, I completely get it. I think if I was single, that would be one of my fears too. I was reading a post on here today where a 38 year old woman was panicking because her life hadn't turned out how she's planned and she'd achieved nothing she wanted in terms of family, kids, home. I think it's scary! Especially with this very real biological clock that's ticking away!!

Oh well good luck!! Let me know how it goes. Hopefully they call you back for an interview shortly! Do you think a lot of people will apply for the role? Is it quite specialised?

Haha! I was such an obedient kid, doing everything my parents asked from such a young age. That's what I expect from my children (but we may accidentally end up spoiling the last born.) There are literally 0 twins in my family so no chance of that happening here. But genetics are a weird thing, so you may find that you'll be carrying twins very soon!

I emailed one removal company, just to check pricing and availability and they never got back to me. I'll have to enquire from another company!

OP posts:
ButterscotchBabe · 15/01/2021 18:36

Wow your temp!! I would definitely have done a test by now, you're very strong not to, is that because you think you're not pregnant? I wonder if your nausea is related?!

Oh no!! Did your company charge you for the damage? I haven't done anything traumatic but I had a minor crash with a van not long after passing my test which shook me up for a bit. I pulled onto a roundabout when something was coming, completely my fault, I think I thought I could get over in time!

Yeh it's a shame our cycles are slowly getting further apart ☹️.

It could be because you're pregnant and not because of the spice?? I don't have any food intolerances but sugar often makes me gassy and bloated!

No I do all the cooking! But he moans if I make unhealthy meals or meals without veg 😂. Yet he's happy to scoff chocolate, pastries, cookies and scones for snacks! Who does most the cooking in your house?

Haha yeh I'd say in the longer term infertility is also a big fear, as is being alone but on a daily basis it's definitely wasp looking buzzing things that scare me!

I've completed the application and sent it to a more senior colleague to look over, hopefully they'll come back with some helpful advice as one of the capabilities I was not expecting! Deadline is next Friday so sifting will be the week after and interviews will prob be end of Jan 😬.

Hahaha DP and I often talk about all the jobs we'll get them doing, we'll have our own little army 😂😂. Well I guess not a lot you can do if that happens but wouldn't be ideal! Do you have twins in your family? My grandmother's sister had twins so it's possible but probably unlikely as it's not a close enough relation.

Yay!! That's so exciting! Not long now 😁😁. Have you decided when to book removals?

unCliche · 15/01/2021 14:35

Ok that's good! If it was a huge SUV it would have probably taken a bit more time than that. I like that my car is small, it feels like the right size for me. When I was in the States for work in Dec 2019, I was confident I could drive this huge Grand Cherokee. Anyway... I didn't make it 1 meter out of the parking lot before I scratched up the whole side of the car and badly damaged both doors on a bollard that I didn't see because the car was so tall! Luckily the car was insured with my company but I was distraught!! 😂 Needless to say, I'm never driving a big car with the steering on the opposite side in a right-side-of-the-road country ever again!! Have you made any driving mistakes that still traumatise you?

Temp went up to its highest ever! 36.88! Still perplexed as to why but I think maybe the vitamins are actually working. It's been 3 months so maybe that's how long they take to fully work. No spotting yet but I'm not holding my breath. 📉📉📉 down, down, down for sure tomorrow. Once AF starts, you and I will be at least a week apart from each other! 😟

For most of last night and this morning I've been feeling quite nauseous. I'm not sure if I've fully recovered so I'm trying to eat foods that will be light on my stomach. I can't believe how ill I've made myself!! I might have to reconsider spice going forward. Do you have any food intolerances?

I agree! Boring!! Does that mean your DP does most of the cooking? We get take out quite a bit but we can get a bit lazy! 😂 It's always a range of cuisines but I like dominos too, Chinese, Thai and anything familiar.

There must be limits to how high the temps can go though!

Haha, see, I really like the idea of saving the bees but having them buzzing around me would give me a major heart attack! I freak out around wasps too but sometimes bees and wasps look alike so I'm probably just freaking out at everything yellow, black and buzzing. I generally don't like bugs but my biggest fear I'd say is infertility 😂😂😂 What's yours?

Oh that's good! Good luck with the application. You'll be fine! Have you prepared some answers in advance?

I think if I accidentally got pregnant with a third before we adopted, we'd reconsider the adoption. But yes, I'd love to adopt. Even helping just one person in the world goes a long way and I'd love to give a home to someone who doesn't have one. Haha best believe that I'll start having them doing manual labour from the age of 5! What would you do if you had twins twice and then suddenly had 4 kids??

I think my grandma has had one so far, which is something. Glad your brother is over the worst of it but long COVID is a major issue and so I hope he doesn't get it. I've read how bad it is - especially the damage that's done to the lungs. Terrible.

That jacket looks easy enough. Doesn't look like there's much to it. The fabric isn't heavy so your machine should cope ok with it. Use interfacing along the neckline and centre-front but line the whole thing on the inside. It would be neater that way.

The survey for the house came back fine. Every issue mentioned was minor, which is a relief. We've also received the draft contract for our house purchase so I can't imagine it taking any longer before we complete on the purchase!!

Yeh the car is a fairly small, it's a Peugeot 308, only took 2 mins to get it out once the right tools came along!

I think you're 10DPO today, how is your temp? Any spotting or more pink tinges? You still planning on waiting until 14DPO to test?

Hope you're feeling better now and the spices are out your system. We hardly ever get takeaway, if it was up to me we'd get it all the time but DP likes to eat healthily... boring! I love Domino's, fried chicken, chips and Chinese! How about you? What's your favourite takeaway?

Zig-zagging is normal but id much prefer a temp that went up and up! Maybe it shows your hormone balance is quite stable, which is a good thing.

My af was quite heavy the first couple of days but it's a bit less today, hopefully it will be over by next week!

I think tomato plants might be one of the easier veg to grow, so probably best to start with that one. I'm not sure about flowers, they're lovely to look at but I absolutely hate buzzing things, I get very nervous if there's a hornet or wasp nearby, I don't mind bees but they sound the same, so I'm constantly on edge if I'm near them! Do you have any phobias?

Aww thanks that would be nice, some of my colleagues work in our Reading office so I've been there before. I might get to go there again after covid but won't be for a while. Although that is dependent on me keeping my current job, the job advert is out and closes next Friday, so I've gotta put a lot of effort into making it a good application!

Thats very true, thank you for reminding me of the positives! The kids will come soon! Would 2 biological and 1 adopted be the ideal scenario for you? I think I would like 3 but I might change my mind after 2 😂😂. As you're very creative at least one of them will be, maybe all of them! When they're older you could teach them how to sew, get them to make clothes for you, free labour 😂😂.

That's great your Grandma has been vaccinated! Has she had both jabs or just the first one so far? Brother is doing okay, he's feeling better now but still tired. I hope he doesn't end up with long covid but only time will tell.

After telling my Mum I'd make her something next year instead, she came back and has asked if I can make a jacket. The pic she's sent doesn't look too difficult... I would probably use interfacing round the neck and down the front middle edges. The sleeves and bottom of it look like they've been sewn with invisible stitching, is that possible to do on a standard machine?

I have major period anxiety so I would have started feeling paranoid about leaking if I was in your situation! But at least you had someone you could call to sort something out for you. Is the car small?

I agree, it is really strange that I reacted that way to spice but I don't think it was food poisoning either. DH is absolutely fine. I think because I ate spicy food two days in a row without giving my stomach time to recover, it just made me really ill. I slept in until 9:45am but I felt ok enough to work. Do you guys order food in frequently?

I thought zig-zagging was normal. I know a slow rise is normal too but rising steadily over 9 days can't be a good thing?? Last cycle my tests started dropping at 11dpo and I started spotting at 10dpo. Actually, DH and I DTD this evening and when I wiped the tissue may have looked a bit pink tinged but I can't be 100% sure as when I wiped again there was nothing there. And I checked my cervix and nothing there either.

Is your AF heavier than usual? I use a menstrual cup so I can't tell if mine is heavy or not but the length of mine has recently gotten shorter with more spotting.

These are the ones I take as there have 100mg of B6: www.hollandandbarrett.com/shop/product/holland-barrett-mega-b-100-vitamin-b-complex-caplets-60000770?skuid=000772

The tablets are really, really huge! It can make it a bit hard to swallow. Same with the Vit C.💊

They're quite easy to grow! Just water and sunshine. Nothing more! And as they get older you can feed them plant food! Are there any other plants you think you'd like to grow? 🌱 I think one of the first things I do when we move into the new house is plant bee-friendly flowers in the front garden 🐝 And daffodils! I love daffodils! Favourite flower. What are yours?

A house warming party would be great! If you're ever in the area, you're always welcome to visit too! Have you ever been to Reading before?

Well I guess you can look at this way: Before 30, you went through a pandemic with good health, a job, a roof over your head, food in your belly and family and a man who love you! The baby, house and marriage will come 😊 Plus nowadays a lot of career women wait until their 30s before settling down so you're waaaaay ahead of many women in our generation! Hehe I have no other plans tbh! I really think all that is missing are the kids!!🤰🤱👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

I imagine having two biological kids plus an adopted third and at least one of them will be introverted. The rest will be very extroverted and hyperactive and funny and fun. It will be a loud house for sure! They'll be artistic is some way; art, music, writing, dance, craft, etc but also inquisitive about the world and about people. They'll be loving and kind, openminded and giving. Or at least that's the dream 😂😂

My grandma has been vaccinated! I spoke to her today and I'm happy to have heard that. How is your brother doing? Also any news on your job interview?

Yeh we were there for quite a while trying to push it and drive it forwards or backwards out of the ditch! It was cold and started raining so we just sat in car not really knowing what to do. One person did stop to help but they weren't able to. We called a neighbour who was gonna send someone who might be able to help but whilst we were waiting a tow truck happened to drive by, very lucky!

Oh no you poor thing, that sounds awful! I wonder if there was something dodgy in the beef or fish as it seems strange that spice would make you so ill, especially as you're used to it. Sounds more like food poisoning. Is your DH okay? Did you take the day off work?

Your temp is doing great again! It being high can only be a good thing, you don't want it zig-zagging. What cycle day did it start coming down last time? My temp tends to only come down after af has started so I don't get a heads up. Haha af is alright, quite heavy, I got really worried whilst we were stuck out in the country lane because I didn't want my tampon to leak through!

I ordered this one but a pack of 30 as it was only £1, although I've since read reviews and apparently the tablets are massive 😬.

www.hollandandbarrett.com/shop/product/holland-barrett-complete-b-vitamin-b-complex-caplets-60001250

Plants have a history of dying on me 😂 how easy are they to keep?

You don't want to get kidney stones, they're extremely painful so I would agree, best to filter your water. We don't get much limescale here thankfully 😊.

I'm looking forward to going to a restaurant again and catching up with friends in a pub. It would also be nice to go clothes or makeup shopping with no mask and actually be able to touch things without worry! You'll be in your new place by then so you'll have to have a house warming party! 🥳

Nope I haven't achieved what I had planned to before 30, which was to get married, have first child and buy first house! If I still haven't achieved those things in the next decade then something's gone very wrong 😂😂. Do you have any goals to achieve before you're 30? Other than having a baby 😉

Same, I can't wait to do my little girl's hair and dress her up in adorable outfits 😍😍! I have no idea what they will be like as people, me and my brother's are all very different and not like our parents, so I think it's impossible to know. I just hope they grow up to be respectful and have good morals and keep in touch with us when we're old! What do you think your kids will be like?

I have no idea 😂😂 but I've managed to postpone it until next year now!

Omg! Were you guys standing there trying to push it out for ages? In this weather?? I'm surprised no one stopped to help!! Good thing that tow truck went by. What would you have done?? Did you call any towing companies before the guy stopped to help you? Glad you both made it out safe though! Stuck in the mud in the current climate is not where anyone wants to be!

Ughhh! Remind me never to eat spice again. I've never reacted as bad as this to food before in my life. I was feeling very nauseous throughout the night and almost threw up a few times. Then around 3am last night my stomach got really sore and I had to go to the toilet. At this point I felt so sick that whatever was going to come out would probably come out from both ends - simultaneously! So I'm sat on the toilet 💩 trying to hold the vomit back. I empty the bathroom bin onto the floor because I am so close to throwing up but I manage to keep it in. I feel so horrible and unwell and I'm on the toilet for a long while before I finally start feeling better. Then I'm back in bed and I notice bubbling sort of under my ribs and it's continuous and I've been having it a lot today as well. It feels like bubbles of gas bubbling away. But I haven't been gassy and I feel fine today but maybe my body is still reeling from what happened last night 🤢 Horrible, horrible night!

I've also been having a tingly vagina. Like on the inside. But I had it at 4&5DPO as well so it probably means nothing. Boobs still hurt, which is nothing new. So I'm pretty much still symptomless.

My temps are still going up. It's exactly at the same 9dpo temperature as last cycles (36.81) so I'm thinking it'll probably follow a similar pattern where it'll go up tomorrow then start dropping down while AF starts. I just don't understand why it keeps going up and it's not zig-zagging around. Not sure what to make of it. Or what that means for my progesterone levels. How's your AF? Is it at least treating you right? 😁

Awesome! B100-Complex is what I've been taking too. This is my third cycle on it and I think it may have helped although I do have very little faith in my body's ability to be normal so I'm not sure 😣

Haha I don't think it would be wise to send a plant with fruit hanging off it! The postage costs would be higher since tomatoes are heavier than the plants themselves! I oftentimes had to tie branches to bamboo sticks to support them and stop them from snapping under their weight. I think, if you want to give it a go, now would be a great time to buy some seeds and start growing them indoors in time for spring!

I'm jealous of your soft water. The water in Sheffield is soft and so delicious! I do miss it. In Reading, it's hard so we have a filter too. DH doesn't want me to get kidney stones even though I've never had it before and know no one who has 🙄 Do you get limescale in your bathroom? We get terrible limescale here.
Skiing probably won't happen but maybe I will travel to which ever country just for the water!

I think the first place DH and I will go is to a restaurant. Just for a change of scenery. And then, maybe the cinema! It would be nice to see friends too, so could go out to a bar to grab a few drinks! I'd definitely host a large gathering as well! How about you??

Awww you're right! This is your last year in your 20s. That really sucks! You should find some way to celebrate 30. Even if we are still in lockdown. Do you think you've achieved everything you planned for your 20s? I'm not holding my breath for November. The way things are going, we'll probably all still be stuck at home. I just hope I have a baby by then so at least I feel like I've done something with the year!

Haha you are surrounded by boys so I suppose a girl makes sense for you! I don't mind either a boy or a girl. I imagine my girl being really cute and me doing her hair and I imagine my boy being kind and copying everything his dad does 😂 Maybe I will have a girl first based on the theory! Do you ever picture what your kids will be like as people?

😂😂😂 Your mum is brilliant bless her! Did she not realise she asked for the same thing again? Sewing for people is stressful! That's why I'd much rather be selfish and focus on me! 👗

You won't believe what happened earlier, we drove out for a lunchtime walk and along the country lanes a massive tractor sped past and so to quickly avoid it DP had to drive the car into the hedge and we got stuck in a ditch! Luckily about an hour later a tow truck happened to pass us and managed to get us out! Car seems okay but DP got covered in mud 😂.

How are you feeling today? Temp still high?

Any private clinics in Bristol would be more expensive than the NHS one here, so I'll just wait but I did order some Vitamin B complex tablets to try in the meantime!

Haha yes unfortunately the tomato plant would probably end up a squished gooey red mess 😂😂.

That's handy you've found those progesterone levels, so now you have some numbers you can compare with once you do your test. Although shame you've gotta wait until next month now.

Haha we have a water filter so it's not straight from the tap but that probably doesn't change the taste much. It also depends on the water in your area, we have very soft water here so it's a bit nicer. DP corrected me, it wasn't bottled water I drank at the ski resort, it was tap water but because the chalets are in the mountains, the water comes straight from them. So to try some you'd have to go skiing!

Haha yeh before covid we didn't go clubbing very often but we know the places that the 18 year olds go so we avoid them, other clubs cater more for 25+ so we tend to go there. Where's the first place you think you'll go once restrictions are lifted?

No not excited to be turning 30, especially as my last year in my 20s has been robbed from me thanks to covid. Hopefully this will largely be over by next November so you can make the most of yours!

I would love to have girl first, I do want a boy as well but if I had a boy first, I would just worry that I might not be able to have a girl. Yes I have heard of that theory! Some people say it works for them, others say it doesn't. Yes in your case you'd have the female sperm there already waiting from CD12, so they should fertilise the egg first. If they didn't manage to then the male sperm from CD15 would have probably got up there before the egg dies. So if you did get pregnant, it would more likely be a girl, based on that theory.

I know 😂😂 I don't know why she didn't just put them on herself, I don't think my brother had much choice 😂😂. I've gone back and said I can't make what she's asking for, however I can make a T-shirt, blouse or tunic and she's come back and said " I like long sleeves, baggy under the arms and open at the waist to tie" - which is exactly what I just told her I couldn't make 😕. I'm gonna have to say to her, I can't make you what you want at the moment, maybe for Christmas or next birthday. Think I'm just gonna stick to making things for myself, much easier 😂😂.

Ok 2 hour round trip is a bit far! So yeah, the best thing to do is wait 😅But would a weekend appointment convince you to make the journey?

Every other day would probably be our best bet. I'll have him still take vitamins to help increase his numbers but I guess, going forward, I'll assume that his count is still low and DTD accordingly.

Hehe! I'd like to say that the chilli plants are attractive, but there's really nothing special about them so they won't make very good decoration either! Sorry! 😂But tomato plants I do have! I wonder how postable they are! Probably not very 😂😂

I think I'm way past the progesterone testing window. So it would have to be next month or next month + the month after. I haven't been able to find much info on BBT chart and progesterone levels apart from short LPs. I want to see low progesterone charts to compare!

After ovulation, progesterone is produced increasingly from the corpus luteum and the progesterone levels gradually rise from a baseline of 1.5 to 3 ng/mL by the first day after ovulation. Levels then continue to rise until it reaches a peak 7 days after ovulation reaching levels of approximately 10-20 ng/mL

Mine will probably be like just enough, like about 8.5ng/mL.

Woooow that mountain water must have been miraculous for them to change your taste buds because UK tap water isn't the nicest tasting. Any chance I can order a bottled version to experience this magic??
Yes, DH buys his decaf pods online.

I stopped liking clubbing at like 23. I just felt so old! Like being amongst 18 year olds behaving like babies. I couldn't. So I preferred going to bars instead. I only really went to pubs for pub quizzes 🤓Oh nooooo! The big THREE-OH! Are you excited to enter your third decade?

I've never been particular about the sex of my child so it hasn't really crossed my mind. And there's not much control I can have over it anyway so knowing or not knowing won't change anything. Do you have a sex preference for your first born? Have you heard about the theory that female sperms live longer and male sperm are faster? I reckon if I got pregnant this cycle, it could go either way. Maybe they'll be some CD12 sperm left and they'll mostly be girls or the fast, ovulation day sperm could get there first and I'll have a boy!

Haha omg! Good luck making that!! Would you try to find a pattern for it? Omg I can't believe she put your brother in her clothes! 😂😂poor kid! And he didn't bother to put up a fight?? 😂😂
