Welcome to the 🐧 huddle. This a safe place to give and receive support for everyone who has experienced the loss(es) of a pregnancy or baby. Pregnancy and child loss is one of the most difficult things we can experience and it can also be the most lonely time too. So many of us have found much comfort from other lovely ladies on this thread, together we're rooting for lots of BFP's! Let 2020 end on a positive note x

Hi @Mumlili9 the treatment hasn't worked so far sadly. I'm on my 5th cycle and doing ovulation induction with letrozole this time. I've go a scan next week and hopefully will trigger ovulation. He did put me on baby aspirin while ttc but I've decided to stop that as I'm wondering if it's affecting implantation.
We've also got our nhs ivf consultation in early April, so will be starting that next if no luck this month.
How are you? How's your husband getting on with his recovery?

Sending you love @kim80 ❤️

Hope everyone is OK xx

Mumlili9 · 17/03/2021 04:58

Hello ladies how are you all.

@kim80 how are you hun x
@venusstarr how the treatment working

VenusStarr · 10/03/2021 17:36

I'm glad you were treated with care and compassion today @kim80 ❤️ it sounds like a physically and emotionally draining day, I hope you are able to rest at home now. It's a difficult decision to stop and not one you've taken lightly, I'm glad you'll still be here. Sending you lots of love Flowers xxx

I'm nearing the end of my first cycle with predisolone added and I've got a horrendous uti, so on antibiotics as well now. Not feeling hopeful for this month, so we're moving onto medicated cycles next month. Hope everyone is well xx

kim80 · 10/03/2021 17:07

Hi @kiki275 we have no other hospital around here so that would have to be ipswich. I have just got back from having the manual vacuum aspiration done awake and I have to say the doctor and nurse were amazing with me especially as my partner was not allowed in either. It's the best treatment I have had there. He even sneaked me in for an unofficial scan after to put my mind at rest that he had got everything after my last procedure being a fail.

I am not going to be trying anymore I can not put myself through the heartache any more. The consultant offered to do tests but I just can't bring myself to go through it.

The Nurse did say to me today that she really feels for women at the moment going through all this I covid as the treatment and rules is so strict and not allowing women partners there for support is hard.

@mumlili9 we can only hope that the complaints we put in make a slight difference on the next women who goes through what we have.

I appreciate all you lovely ladies support and wish you all the best and that you all gain your rainbow babies that you all deserve.

I never realised how much support you can get from people that you have never met.

I will remain on here to see all your success stories as I know there are more to come.

Thank you 😊

Mumlili9 · 08/03/2021 20:11

@kim80 im sorry you had to deal with this woman on top of the horrible feelings that come with loss. You would think they would have more compassion, but I too found with all 9 of my losses that its just matter of fact with them. I too made complaints but nothing ever came of them.
Hope your procedure goes as well as it can do, virtual hand hold coming your way x

Kiki275 · 08/03/2021 20:10

@kim80 I do hope they take your complaints seriously, if only to prevent other mums going through the same thing. Do you have another accessible hospital, perhaps in another trust you could use instead for future pregnancy, or would you need to rely on and put your faith in the same place?x

Thanks @VenusStarr, yes I was back to work today as work for a school so that was nice to actually have normality. Hope your well. X

kim80 · 08/03/2021 18:07

Hi @kiki275 yes I contacted pals. I have had two miscarriages now in 6 months and both times the epu has failed me. My first one the erpc wasn't complete at even though he told me he got everything out when I went for a scan two weeks later with heavy bleeding they informed me that I was actually still carrying a majority of it and had to have it done again.

So this time with the sonographer not willing to listen to anything I said and making me feel like I was actually going mental I was not willing to leave it. I know they will come back with well at the time it was viable viable but 2 weeks behind in growth lol I have to laugh if not I think I would loose my cool.

I am aware nothing could have prevented this and I am at ease that it was nothing I did wrong.

I just feel in such hard times twice I have now had negative dealings with epu and know how it's made me feel. I'm a strong minded person so I would hate to think how it would make someone who is anxious feel. 😟 it's not OK.

VenusStarr · 08/03/2021 17:18

I am so sorry @kim80 ❤️ I hope they can get you in quickly. None of the options are ones we'd want to choose. I'm glad you feel able to raise a complaint and that it helped you feel a bit better - I wanted to with my epu in my recent loss but struggled to. Hopefully they will take on board your comments. Sending you lots of love.

Hope everyone else is doing OK xx

Kiki275 · 08/03/2021 17:11

@kim80 it's absolutely awful that this ordeal is being dragged out for you. Have you contacted PALS regarding the complaint?x

Thank you ladies. I have waited a week now and nothing has happened so I am booked in to discuss the mva so I'm hoping by the weekend it will be done. I couldn't face the tablets and after the two erpcs this seems like the best option for me.

I really appreciate all your kind words.

I have lodged a complaint against the sonographer but I am unsure they will listen but it has made me feel better.

Hope you are all well.xxx

Slinks8113 · 05/03/2021 12:00

Mumlili9 · 04/03/2021 15:09

@kim80 im so sorry to hear this. Sending you hugs. I can only hope that the physical loss goes as smoothly as possible for you. I agree you should complain about your treatment. The more that complain could bring about a change in how they manage miscarriage. Again im so sorry for your loss, were here if you want to talk , rant or just need reassuring xx

Kiki275 · 03/03/2021 09:05

@kim80 I'm so sorry to hear this and even more so about the treatment you are receiving. Do whatever is best for you, don't allow them to bully you because of mistakes they made. Will you lodge a complaint when you feel able to?x

Oh @kim80 I am so sorry, this is awful. I've been thinking about you ❤️ I have miscarried naturally twice at home, if you want to chat about it, let me know. Don't feel forced into anything. Sending you lots of love xxx

kim80 · 03/03/2021 08:52

Well ladies it's not good news for me and is as I thought. I have had a rough week arguing with my local hospital because they would not listen to my dates at the scan and kept telling me I was wrong I knew I wasn't I know my body. Booked a private scan yesterday to be told no heartbeat 😭😭 by her measurements she feels that when he scanned me the week before it was probably like that then which has caused me even more anger.

I am waiting for the hisptial to call me today as they wont take the word of the private scan and will have to go back for it. But I have decided that after the harsh time I had with the surgical I think I am going to see if they will let me ride this out and wait for it to happen naturally.

Thank you for all your support through all this I really appreciate all of you. Xxx

🥰 Lovely @Kiki275 I've just bought some daffodils for the living room

Kiki275 · 27/02/2021 13:53

I saw my first daffodil the other day outside nursery. Just a mini narcissi but pushing through nonetheless. They're definitely bringing me hope.x

Thank you @Kiki275 ❤️ just when I think it's hopeless, something pops up to remind me there is hope.

I hope you're well ☺️ xx

Kiki275 · 27/02/2021 09:42

@VenusStarr that's lovely your orchid is blooming again. It's a proper little survivor that one.
Keeping everything crossed for you this TTC cycle. You know far more now than you did previously and knowledge is power.xx

Thinking of you @kim80 ❤️

I'm very sorry to hear this @Mumlili9, it's so, so hard. Sending you a big hug x

Thanks for the earlier messages @InDreamland

I saw my specialist this week and have now got steroids added into my plan, so we're going to start ttc properly again. I'm still not entirely hopeful after all this time (we've hit 3.5 years ttc now 😢) but the plan is a natural cycle this month with the steroids and then we'll move onto medicated cycles for 3 months, then review.

I don't know if anyone remembers my little orchid, but during my last pregnancy most of the flowers died (and dh ended up taking the last couple off, I got a bit obsessed). Anyway, in the last few weeks, a brand new shoot popped up and its already got a couple of tiny buds on it. So, I do feel like hope is returning, but I'm cautious as I've been here many times before. I just don't want to be stuck anymore.

Lots of love xx

InDreamland · 24/02/2021 18:02

@Mumlili9 FlowersFlowersFlowers I'm hoping you get a surprise pregnancy that works out to be the one that sticks and is your rainbow you can take home. Sending hugs x

Kiki275 · 24/02/2021 15:41

Oh @Mumlili9 I'm so sorry to hear this. The signs were so promising ☹️. I do wish you every hope for the future xx

@kim80 fx its not as you fear, ((( hugs)))

Well its a bfn again. I quit , its obvious that its just not ment for me. Take care ladies

kim80 · 24/02/2021 13:07

Thanks ladies I have kinda accepted that this is not going to end well. I am disappointed with the epu that they are not willing to listen to me at all about my dates. The 6 weeks take me to exactly when I ovulated so I know its impossible.

Really appreciate all your support ladies thank you.
