I have no idea what is going on here. I am 18DPO according to FF, no sign of AF, temps still up (though albeit with a drop yesterday then right back up to the highest point today). AF is 4 days late if no sign today.

I have had the faintest whisper of line on both CB and FRER, DH can see it but the camera won't pick up the FRER one. I am wary of the CB one as I know they have a reputation. We both think there is a hint of blue in it though.

I guess it could be a CP though would have thought my temp would have dropped and there would be signs of AF by now?

I have had the craziest CM for a week now, loads of it, both white and creamy and globs of jelly (sorry for the TMI). Not at all normal for me before AF. I have also had mild cramps for a week. Random stabby pains in boobs too.

I could cry, I didn't really expect to catch this month and if it was just totally negative tests and AF had arrived that would have been fine but now I feel in limbo.

Google is not my friend. Several says normal hcg levels at 4 weeks can be anything from 5 upwards so I guess it's possible to still have hcg too low to pick up on a 10miu test? FF says a small % of women still don't see a positive test at this stage.

I guess all I can do is wait and if still no AF by the end of the week test again?

It's not helping that it's coming up to Christmas as I don't want to have a drink just in case

Gaaaaaaaah 😩😩😩

CookieMonster3001 · 14/12/2020 10:02

Thank you so much ladies! Honestly this group has been my rock for the last 6 months!

@sunflowersaremyfav93 nope not really!!! I keep staring at the test and not really believing it!

This was our 3rd cycle. This cycle the only difference was that we used conceive plus and I kept socks on my feet throughout the whole TWW. Apart from the fact I am always cold, I watched a youtube video from some fertility woman who said to ensure you keep the bottom half of your body warm as it helps with circulation. I wasn't going to complain, although OH didn't particularly like the fact I kept them on whilst we DTD haha. I ate a full pineapple over the course of 5 days after ovulation because apparently the core helps with implantation and we continued with the evening primrose oil and omega 3 (although I didn't really notice any EWCM at all still).

That's really about it. We did make an effort to DTD more regularly throughout the whole cycle and not sure if that helped.

TheNewMrsW · 14/12/2020 10:01

@CookieMonster3001 that is amazing news! Congrats and that is a great line 12DPO!

CookieMonster3001 · 14/12/2020 09:58

I hasn't really sunk in to be honest. Told OH and he is excited but he is not one to show emotion so he doesn't really know how to act. Hes still a bit caution and has said he will feel better after some time and once I have actually had a missed period but definitely believed the FRER over the one step lol. I am going to wait until Weds/Thurs before confirming with a Digital and then contacting the Dr's (I have NO idea what I am supposed to say?!)

@Curiosity101 according to FF my due date is 25th August. Even saying that feels weird lol

Symptoms this TWW... nothing really. Some mild cramping, but I have had that the other 2 TWWs. I am starting to feel a little queezy. Struggled to brush my teeth this morning without gagging and maybe some random stabby pains in my boobs but that's about it. Still getting cramps and random pinching every now and then (notice it more at night)

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 14/12/2020 09:57

Awwww @CookieMonster3001 I could cry for you, I'm so happy for you!! Has it sunk in? I agree with @Curiosity101 great line for 12DPO! I knew I had a good feeling for you!
So now.. tell us everything you did!!! 😂😂 was this 2nd cycle?

Curiosity101 · 14/12/2020 09:29

@CookieMonster3001 That's such amazing news and personally I'd say that's a fantastic line for 12DPO!!! I'm so excited for you. What's your due date?

CookieMonster3001 · 14/12/2020 09:20

@wrensandrobins ive not showed him yet lol

wrensandrobins · 14/12/2020 09:15

@Curiosity101 yeah sounds like you might be a 5 or so days after me, but you never know! :)

@CookieMonster3001 congratulations that's definitely a positive test! Does he believe you now? 🤣

CookieMonster3001 · 14/12/2020 09:12

12 DPO here and here is my update!! Confirmed now with a FRER. Hoping its dark enough!

Pre-conception, planning and trying!
Curiosity101 · 14/12/2020 09:10

@wrensandrobins I think you're spot on. Fingers crossed for the next few days. I'm CD10 and showing absolutely no signs of anything yet. I normally get EWCM ~4 days before ovulation but not sure what to expect this month. Just playing it by ear. Looks like we probably won't be testing at the same time this month though.

Curiosity101 · 14/12/2020 09:07

@CookieMonster3001 Haha, all good here. Now that I'm comfortable that the risk from my thyroid results is early miscarriage I'm ok with it. Not because I'm ok with the idea of miscarriage, but because by the time that we get into that sort of time my levels should be fine. I have my repeat blood test next Tuesday so I anticipate being on the correct dose before 7DPO. Then at some point over the next couple of weeks after that my thyroid levels should be in the normal range. I may have to push the GP to put me on the correct dose next week (as opposed to slowly increasing it) but we'll see.

wrensandrobins · 14/12/2020 09:03

@Curiosity101 that completely reassures me, I had completely forgotten about the average women ovulating around the 14th day. I am normally a sane rational women, I think TTC brings out the crazy in me 🤣 yes I was on the pill, I came off in July but I was on it for 17 years so I imagine it's going to take some time for things to settle!

My ovulation tests are still very faint so I think 3-4 days is probably right, I have been doing one in the morning and one in the afternoon with cheapies, the afternoon ones are no darker, so I can't imagine I have ovulated and missed it with the strips.

CookieMonster3001 · 14/12/2020 09:00

Good Morning all!

Now that I am back at my computer, I can catch up properly with all the messages!

@olderthanyouthink glad the baby is healthy!! I can imagine how you feel with wanting to be further along, but at least you are half way through the wait! wishing you a happy healthy 12 months and you will have to tell us all about it when you let your family know! My sister didnt tell me about her first pregnancy until 12 weeks but sometimes she says she wishes she told us earlier because she suffered so much with symptoms.

@thenewmrsw so sorry to hear about your BFN. Did AF arrive in the end? Hope you had that glass of wine (or two!)

@curiosity101 sorry to hear about your thyroid results.. how are you feeling now about it? Glad you have decided not to delay and keeping my fingers crossed for you. And now that you have already started taking the medication, its obviously making a difference, albiet slower than you hoped which is positive news as well and as sunflowers said, you are now much more well equipt with knowledge this time around.

@wrenandrobins how did you get on with your OPKs? Mine usually are faint until a day before ovulation and then BAM I get dark lines. I also wouldnt worry about a follicular phase of 13 days. I have ovulated on CD12 for the last 6 months.

@sunflowersaremyfav93 how have you been recently? Hopefully work will be calming down for you in the run up to Christmas. This is defo the month to eat and drink. Im glad you heard back from the gynae and confirmed your suspicions at least you defo know where you stand, and hopefully you will be super preg by the time you get round to possible treatment! Home alone... one of my all time faves!! I hate Elf sorry @curiosity101

Curiosity101 · 14/12/2020 08:52

@wrensandrobins Wowzer. Google really isn't your friend 🙈🙉🤣.

Here: www.google.com/search?q=when+does+average+ovulation+occur&oq=when+is+average+ovulat&aqs=chrome.2.0i457j69i57j0i22i30.5519j0j4&client=ms-android-oneplus&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#sbfbu=1&pi=when%20does%20average%20ovulation%20occur

That should hopefully add to the reassurance. I appreciate that if you're normally a late ovulator that it seems weird. But were you on hormonal birth control? It definitely can take awhile to regulate fully after you come off of it. Not necessarily anything to worry about!

wrensandrobins · 14/12/2020 08:45

@Curiosity101 thank you, I appreciate the reassurance! I started to google and within 5 minutes panicked that I was definitely in Peri-menopause and almost certainly broken

Google is not my friend 🤣

Curiosity101 · 14/12/2020 08:36

@wrensandrobins I see a similar spike in cycle 2 (CD13-14), cycle 3(CD11-12). I couldn't spy anything in cycle 1 that seemed similar though. There's not enough cycle date on there to say for sure, but I have a feeling that you'll ovulate in 3-4 days if that little spike is part of your natural pattern.

Having said that, ovulating on CD13 is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about Smile

wrensandrobins · 14/12/2020 08:17

Bit concerned to see a temp spike this morning, my cycles have been getting progressively shorter but 13 days is definitely too short for a follicular phase

I'm still getting negative ovulation tests too! Very confused! Hopefully it's just a random spike and will come down tomorrow, I slept fine and don't feel poorly.

Curiosity101 · 13/12/2020 12:17

@CookieMonster3001 I feel like the most likely reason for frequently needing to wee and feeling a bit queasy is definitely due to shock/excitement/nerves 😄. I get exactly the same if I'm anxious/excited about something.

It's definitely got a line though and I'm sure it I see pink. Congratulations again ☺️

CookieMonster3001 · 13/12/2020 12:08

@Curiosity101 yeah I tried to hold but I just couldnt so I think I am going to just wait till tomorrow morning and do a frer with fmu. I dont think I will be able to believe it until I see it on a frer or digital. I keep feeling a bit queezy but I have convinced myself its because of the test this morning and not because I might actually pregnant lol

Curiosity101 · 13/12/2020 11:38

@CookieMonster3001 Congratulations! I bet a FRER will confirm that easily. Also it's not so much about how long you hold but how dilute your urine is. If you're drinking a lot of water whilst holding then you'll still have very dilute urine and will risk doing yourself some harm.

Congratulations again!

CookieMonster3001 · 13/12/2020 09:54

@wrensandrobins lol haha ive managed to hold an hour... going to see if i can hold till 11 and then take another cheapy but save the wee

wrensandrobins · 13/12/2020 09:46

@CookieMonster3001 oh no 🤣 i hate holding wee

I can't wait to get pregnant just so I stop holding wee for various different tests 🤣

CookieMonster3001 · 13/12/2020 09:18

I have got a couple of frers in my drawer but sods law ive had to pee 3 times in the last hour so struggling to hold my pee long enough!!
