@Potterurotter aww it was so cute it says already enrolled in hogwarts on it and is in newborn size so so tiny xxx

Potterurotter · 12/01/2021 19:20

@mackjm20 your post about the Harry Potter baby gro made me well up!

Curiosity101 · 12/01/2021 18:43

@Potterurotter Welcome 👋

mackjm20 · 12/01/2021 18:36

@sunflowersaremyfav93 lol! Well I am very impressed :) hopefully they arrive early and you can hold your pee :)

@Potterurotter welcome :) good luck on your ttc journey :) you are certainly in the right place such a lovely group :)

Curiosity101 · 12/01/2021 18:31

@sunflowersaremyfav93 It'd probably be best to do it with FMU but if you've not been drinking too much and can comfortably do a 3hr hold then it'll probably be enough.

Potterurotter · 12/01/2021 18:07

Ok if I join please? Having my implant out on Thursday as hoping to get pregnant for the first time - hi all!

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 12/01/2021 18:03

Haha @mackjm20 I'm the worst at these things usually I don't know how I haven't caved. But I did just order some tests on Prime it won't be FMU though by the time they arrive? Will that be an issue? @Curiosity101

OP posts:
mackjm20 · 12/01/2021 17:03

@Curiosity101 I know I was like just incase what once we have finished having babies you ditch me haha! Just incase cheeky bugger lol!

@CookieMonster3001 I have yea each day doing bbt and opk just in case as app still says ovulation wasn’t confirmed by bbt lol! Oh bless you really hope it comes and coincides with the weekend for you :) keeping everything crossed for you!

@sunflowersaremyfav93 you are honestly my inspiration I am 4dpo and ready to test lol I’m a nightmare haha!

Anyone know much about heart rate (like on your Fitbit) confirming ovulation? X

Curiosity101 · 12/01/2021 14:17

@sunflowersaremyfav93 I'm probably not the best influence if I'm being honest. 😅😈

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 12/01/2021 14:08

Ooh thank you @Curiosity101 I think I'm going to order something on prime... I'm close to caving!

Curiosity101 · 12/01/2021 13:58

@sunflowersaremyfav93 The one steps are no where near as sensitive/easy to read as FRER. But they're super cheap so I used them as my preliminary tests and then followed up with a FRER if I thought I saw something.

This is where I bought mine: homehealth-uk.com/product-category/pregnancy-ovulation-tests/pregnancy-test-strips/wide-test-strips/10miuml/

They're on Amazon too though.

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 12/01/2021 13:39

@CookieMonster3001 I hope I'm like this during an actually TWW but I've already thought about stocking up on tests to take on the day when AF is due.
@Curiosity101 ooh are the one step ones good? Do you have a link for them?

Curiosity101 · 12/01/2021 13:17

@CookieMonster3001 Thanks. I think it's finally starting to sink in ☺️.

That sounds like good news on your OPKs. It would put you somewhere over the weekend too hopefully which is what you were hoping for? 🤞🤞🤞

CookieMonster3001 · 12/01/2021 13:17

Dont mind the gassy symptom... 😂😂😂

CookieMonster3001 · 12/01/2021 13:13

@curiosity101 ooo an early scan! I am so excited for you! Blimey that really is a dye stealer of a test!! Looks great!

@wrenandrobins thank you!! How are you getting on? 11 seems like so far away but I am sure it will come in no time!!! I have heard UTI's are quite common in pregnancy, keep up your water intake as much as possible to flush it out if you can and maybe speak to a dr if it gets worse?

@sunflowersaremyfav93 I really hope you find out one way or another soon! I still cant believe you havent caved yet and tested, if you keep this up you will be great at managing the TWW (if you have another one!!!)

@mackjm20 its a pain in the bum isnt it!!! Have you carried on OPK testing just in case?

Stillllll noooo signnnn offff ovulation!!! (I kinda sang that in my head as I typed it - defo going crazy over here!) blank circle again on CB but my IC OPK is getting slightly darker so I am taking that as a positive. I am also getting a few cramps here and there so wondering if its gearing up for the big release? CD16 today and usually ovulate CD12. Although after copious amounts of raiding forums, it seems as thought the majority of people end up ovulating around a week later than normal, so I am hoping I start seeing some action in the next couple of days. Keep your fingers crossed for me ladies!!! I just want to ovulate and be done with it lol. Don't even get me started on my temp chart! I will add a pic shortly for your amusement.

Curiosity101 · 12/01/2021 12:55

@mackjm20 'Just incase'?!?!? 😂🤣😂🤣

@sunflowersaremyfav93 Yeah I see what you mean. I bought the FRERs which were only £6 ish for two. And the OneSteps we're around £5 for about 40 😂🤣.

It could be something or nothing that you have no symptoms. I'd err towards AF being due though. Symptoms are normally caused by progesterone and the drop in progesterone is part of what triggers AF, so no symptoms could imply a progesterone drop. Plus OFC you weren't actively trying.

But having said all that I know I wouldn't have been able to stop myself testing if I were you 😅.

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 12/01/2021 12:47

@Curiosity101 I am sooooo tempted I don't know how I haven't caved either? I keep thinking oh AF will arrive and then I'll be disappointed and have waited £15 on a CB test. Plus I'm actually trying to keep away from the shops, the infection rate where I live is terrible.
I feel absolutely nothing today though which is odd?!

mackjm20 · 12/01/2021 11:25

@Curiosity101 no that makes total sense :) I definitely prefer children at 2+ :) however have been so broody for the last year it’s like 29 hit and ttc has consumed me! Lol

Ah I had the coil it was so good and I never had a period or had to worry about missing pills etc much easier :) Omgosh haha my dh says the same that he will never have one just incase! I’m like just incase what lol! Xx

Curiosity101 · 12/01/2021 11:08

@mackjm20 Oh yes. Unless we have an accidental blessing at some point in the future then that's me done once #2 arrives. I don't make a very good pregnant lady and I much prefer toddlers/children rather than babies. I'm actually not overly broody, I want another child more so than another baby if that makes sense? And I see a future with 2 children, definitely not 3+ 🙈🙉😮.

I'm already planning to hopefully get the copper coil put in shortly after having baby #2 as I don't want to go back on anything hormonal. Tried to convince DH that a vasectomy isn't so scary but he's not having any of it 🤣. It's ironic that he's fine for me to can go through giving birth twice but a vasectomy is way too scary 🙄

mackjm20 · 12/01/2021 11:00

@Curiosity101 I can imagine! Such a mixed bag of emotions bless you! Do you think #2 will defo be it for you? Atleast that’s nice to know you don’t have to feel worried about it again :) sending so much positive energy your way!

@wrensandrobins ah I see! Gosh I didn’t realise that have just checked my local area. Oh wow! Lucky you called early then :) and nice to have your first scan together the same week :)

wrensandrobins · 12/01/2021 10:15

@mackjm20 the BBC reported a few weeks back the government released guidance that the nhs that partners should be able to attend all appointments- but it was only guidance so the trusts don't have to do it!

No that's not a scan, that's my 8 week booking appointment- only at 11 weeks because they are so behind- they book your scan after that appointment!

Curiosity101 · 12/01/2021 09:46

@mackjm20 Haha, thank you, I really hope you're right. ☺️ I'm doing my best to be positive. And I feel so incredibly fortunate to even be in this situation. But equally once this baby is born I'm going to be so glad to never every do this again. My nerves just can't take it 🤣😂.

mackjm20 · 12/01/2021 09:34

@Curiosity101 I would be exactly the same :) oh bless you I am so hoping for you that it’s a smoother journey this time it makes total sense that you are anxious but hoping as they say every pregnancy is different that this one is lots calmer for you :) xx

Curiosity101 · 12/01/2021 09:31

@mackjm20 That's exactly it for me. I want to know this little bean is in the right place and has a strong heartbeat. Nothing is guaranteed of course but those are my two biggest worries. Then it should hopefully be smooth sailing until 20+ weeks when I imagine my anxiety will start kicking back in. My major bleeds with DS started around 24 weeks... So that'll definitely be a trigger point for me.

mackjm20 · 12/01/2021 09:22

@wrensandrobins Will the first appointment at 11 weeks be a scan? Sorry don’t know much about next steps. That’s such a shame that they won’t let partners in! I don’t know why I thought the guidelines had changed to allow an additional one person to every appointment. Bless you oh gosh I can only imagine! That’ll be nice for you to have the private scan with your partner :)

@Curiosity101 Omgosh 13 days from today fingers crossed I would be so excited. My bestie had her early reassurance scan around 8 weeks and although you couldn’t see much she said just hearing the heartbeat helped so much with the anxiety :)
