Sorry to hear @DrS44 ! It's so frustrating, such a rollercoaster of a time this TTC🙈
I second what everyone else has said, think of the positives and start to look forward to cycle 2! Im currently cycle 2 and I find myself so much less stressed this time round. Trying to just go with the flow (using OPK and tiring OH out with endless dtd these past few days😄) but apart from that I'm just excited to see what happens either way! BFP will be the best thing ever, BFN will mean i don't have to skip the baileys over Xmas😝🥂

Have attached today's OPK - starting to see a little bit of improvement which is good! 🤞 for peak soon xxx

Thanks everyone I really appreciate your comments. Not gonna lie I will probably take today to wallow in self pity, thank you all though, there are definitely a lot of positives I can and will take once I get over myself 🙄😅 xxxx

positivitytree2020 · 24/11/2020 11:13

Awww so sorry to hear that @DrS44! Can definitely relate to your upset! 😢 I was the exact same last cycle, so disheartened when I saw AF! Felt sorry for myself for the entire day, and once it was out of my system I started looking at all the positives! 🤗 means you are into a new cycle so a whole new opportunity again! 😃

Having said this, I will 100% be devastated if I get AF this month! Will be heading into Cycle 4, the worry gets more as the months go by! 😒

@AMS19 I didn’t need to change my temps on FF, I put in this mornings temp and then it recalculated my ovulation itself to be CD15 as expected! 😃👌🏼 That’s 3 days of high temps so looks like I did ovulate! 🙌🏼

My nipples were really sensitive the last 2 days, never had that before. They aren’t too bad today. I’ve had constant mild cramps the last 2 days which makes me nervous, keep checking myself as if AF is there! 😂

Is this normal? I am now starting to wonder did i not ovulate the last 2 cycles? Or else I just didn’t pay much attention to any symptoms the last few times coz I was going with the flow and not tracking properly! 😅

@CardioQueen My OPks were exactly the same last month. They were so low and only a faint line on some of them. But that’s was the same month I had my implant out 🧐

This month has been better for me in terms of lines but still not the best to work things out 😂 X

May94 · 24/11/2020 09:47

@DrS44 ah no, fingers crossed you’re not out yet! If it is AF then try and look forward to the next cycle.

I am so confused! I am 8dpo today but started bleeding on Saturday so that would of been 5dpo. It’s only light but is bright red, had it Saturday, Sunday and then today but not yesterday. Would of thought it is too much for spotting but too light for AF. Temp is still high and had no dip and had no normal signs of AF! So annoying, wish there was something that could just tell you what is happening inside your body 😂

jessi60 · 24/11/2020 09:47

@DrS44 Hey, aw sorry to here that. It is disappointing but I was exactly like you to be fair, although I wasn’t doing Opk in my first month off the implant. But with you being CD 27 I got my period at the same time and it’s good to know things are returning to normal for you with a decent cycle length.
I’ve read a lot in ovulation and listening to podcasts and I think the biggest misconception is people think they have defiantly ovulated based on their LH surge when they may not have at all. So there was always the chance your body was trying to do what it was meant to but didn’t manage fully this first month.
I think the same might have happened to me last month to be honest, as I thought I would be pregnant aswell.

You’ve got this 🥰🥰🥰
Onto to the next month if AF does show fully! 🤞🏼❤️ I’ll be joining you after my dramatic illness 😂😂 Xx

CardioQueen · 24/11/2020 09:45

Oh @DrS44 totally ok to be disappointed. But once you've accepted it, it's really exciting to get AF as it means the start of a new cycle and a new chance to conceive. Agree with all @Ams19 has said, she is wise 🦉

Bells20 · 24/11/2020 09:07

@DrS44 ah I didn't realise you'd already had your withdrawal. totally agree with @AMS19, if this is AF it's great to get it back so quickly, lots of positives to take from it. But at the same time you're definitely allowed to feel upset! It's so hard not to get your hopes up isn't it.

Ams19 · 24/11/2020 08:55

@DrS44 don't be silly it is silly at all.but also important you are given a bit of a reality check 😉😜 xxx

DrS44 · 24/11/2020 08:46

@Ams19 thank you 💛💛💛 sorry it's so silly of me people struggle so much more I should consider myself lucky it's just the initial reaction 💔

Ams19 · 24/11/2020 08:43

@DrS44 there are huge positives to take if it is AF:

  1. this will be your first proper period. Some women wait months for their first proper one off the pill. So to have it so soon is amazing
  2. you ovulated. I didnt ovulate my first cycle off and most women don't for up to 6 months
  3. this is now your first proper cycle and based on the above you stand an amazing chance
  4. if you have a similar length cycle you could fine our your pregnant for Christmas / NYE!!

All in all, as frustrating as it is you are SO lucky! And now it is a fresh start with a new cycle and you have it all to win!!

❤❤

@DrS44 aw I’m so sorry I was so hopeful for you! It’s only your first cycle and I know it’s heart breaking but at least now you can track your cycle more accurately and hopefully get it on the next one 🤞✨ xx

I think I’ll be following in your footsteps though so we will be in this together. I’m 5dpo today xx

DrS44 · 24/11/2020 08:23

@Bells20 ya I had my withdrawal bleed maybe 3 days after I stopped the pill, didn't ovulate til CD27 I'm now 9DPO... I know this cycle was a bonus but you can't help but get over excited 😭 I'll try remain positive but the next few days will be telling x

Bells20 · 24/11/2020 08:21

@DrS44 ah no! Hoping you're not out, keep us updated 🤞🏻. last month was my first month off the pill and my withdrawal bleed started at 9dpo. It was definitely disappointing but I tried to think about how it was good that my body was getting back to 'normal' and it made tracking a bit easier this month.

DrS44 · 24/11/2020 08:11

@Ams19 it's my first haven't had a period yet at all. I was just really hopeful with my OPK surge and I thought I felt ovulation and we DTD loads 😭 I won't lose full hope but it's looking less likely I would say 💔💔💔

Ams19 · 24/11/2020 08:02

Oh no @DrS44 rubbish if that is the case! Fingers crossed it isnt. This is your first or second cycle off the pill?

OP posts:
DrS44 · 24/11/2020 07:46

Morning gals... I think I'm out 😭 just woke up and when I went to the loo I had light bleeding. A lot more than yesterday, still not loads, but I think it must be the start of AF. I still have mild cramping too... seems so early at 9DPO but I suppose my cycle is all over the place.

Not gonna lie, I'm devo, but obviously not meant to be our month 😭😭😭

CardioQueen · 23/11/2020 21:50

@Foxl2222 well I've been testing for 12 days now and still only just moved off 0 🙈 but also my cycles are just so unreliable since coming off pill in July. Last one was 57 days, one before 37 days so really who knows when I'll ovulate. I'm actually a bit fed up of it all today 😂

But @Ams19 had a peak that came out of nowhere so I know hers stayed very low or at 0 too until the surge.

@Dex1521@Emmgrem We are so blessed up north with the house prices aren’t we but I would never be able to do it if lived elsewhere in the country. It’s took me and my partner a while to save up what we have for ours that we are in for. I’ve had a shite time with house buying this year so wish you all the luck in the world with it, the last house we were in for was from January until September this year when the sellers pulled out 😫 Luckily we found another one. needs a little work but have the money aside for a kitchen etc. Don’t think I could cope with a massive mortgage it would give me too much anxiety.
Hate the stress of it all xx

Bells20 · 23/11/2020 21:44

Hi @Foxl2222 welcome! Sounds like you're in the right place for testing early haha we love to POAS over here. Many of us are fairly new off the pill so cycles are a bit messy I think- for me at least! I hopefully ovulated today, my OPK shot up over the weekend so definitely can go from nothing to something quite quickly! I don't know too much about it, I guess it's possible to ovulate earlier than CD10 but I would think unlikely! Are you checking your temperature too?

Wishing you lots of luck!!

Thank you @AMS19 :)
Hey everyone! Sorry I haven’t had a chance to read through the thread but will do when I get into bed, some light bed time reading😅
Basically I’m on 2nd cycle of trying for 1st pregnancy. First cycle was bit of a guessing game, didn’t know what we were doing really. Experienced the standard TWW craziness, symptom spotting and pregnancy testing from 6dpo🙈 anyhow, decided to use OPK this cycle and have attached the results. Seems strange to me that they are so low cos any app or prediction things I’ve looked at, predict my O for tomorrow, have ewcm too, so hoping I’ll get a sudden rise maybe tomorrow. Only started testing CD10 so hopefully I didn’t miss it. Generally my cycles are 27-29 days so relatively regular🤷‍♀️
Anyone on a similar time scale/cycle? Or experienced such low results close to O? Xx

@Emmgrem aw we are lucky we are renting at the moment as first time buyers. My OH is very practical and it would get him out of changing nappies if he decorates around me and our hopefully baby 😂 I’m good at choosing colours and themes and very good at telling him where to put them 🤣

We really want to visit the south coast it was going to be our holiday this year but had to cancel we were going to drive down to longleat and bath and then down to Torquay and a few other towns over the space of three weeks. We were lucky to get money back etc but will definitely try and do it in the future.

Emmgrem · 23/11/2020 20:56

@Dex1521 That sounds sensible doing one thing at a time! We've been trying to sell ours since July and it's only just sold so feels like a long time coming, and now it's uncertain whether the new build will accept us with such a long chain! If it falls through we'll wait until Jan too. So stressful! I don't think I could renovate with a baby either though. But as we all know the body clock doesn't wait for the perfect time 🙄

I would love to live where you do when it comes to house buying. It's £500-600k to get a 4 bed down here (I'm on the south coast) and even most of those need work first! But all our family live here 🤷🏻‍♀️ dreams of retiring to a mansion in the north with lots of land or something 😂

Dex1521 · 23/11/2020 20:27

@Emmgrem we are the same we are looking for a house but going to start looking and making offers in January. I was thinking that too how could we do it with just one salary so we have decided to look for cheaper older houses that could be decorated and done up over time which I love doing anyway. I think we are quiet lucky though living in Darlington as the North east is fairly cheap to get a decent sized 3 or 4 bed for under £150k

Emmgrem · 23/11/2020 20:23

@Dex1521 andv@DrS44 I'm with you guys on the crazy symptom spotting! Makes me feel more normal. Femometer has changed the date it thinks I ovulated now, to a few days ago when I'm pretty sure I didn't as Cm has all dried up and LH showing 0 now at CD17.
So anyway I've got no idea what DPO I am have been having twinges, and felt so sick this morning I nearly had to run off my work meeting video call (upset stomach all morning, don't know if that's a symptom) and a headache today and yesterday which I don't usually get.

Although this might all be because we're waiting to find out if we've been accepted for the house we want and so I'm stressing out about that.
Was imagining how nice it would be to get the house and find out we were pregnant before Xmas, but now I'm slightly panicking thinking how on earth does anyone afford a big mortgage on one salary? 🙈 My workplace only have statutory maternity pay! Shouldn't probably get so ahead of myself but sometimes I wonder whether we can afford both right now 😂
