Anyone else in the dreaded tww?
I'm currently 2DPO. Would be nice to chat to others in the same waiting game to keep us sane!

@Twinkle1989 thank you! The pink FRERs. At most I’m 11dpo (don’t know for sure) so still early. AF due Thursday. I was so sure I could see something but now I can’t :/

Twinkle1989 · 22/11/2020 08:08

@KitQ keeping everything crossed for you!! What tests are you using? xx

KitQ · 22/11/2020 07:29

Tested again this morning and could see the faintest of lines. It definitely looked different to yesterday’s BFN and husband agreed. But now I think I’m probably going mad and I can’t see it. Will have to wait and try again tomorrow.

Twinkle1989 · 22/11/2020 06:37

@Highfalutinlootin sorry - I'm probably rambling

So Clear Blue app said I was 11DPO (with OPK)
My other fertility app said I was 9 days DPO (without OPK) so let's assume 11DPO

I was 12DPO yesterday and got a much stronger FR test and the cheapies were clearly positive too.

AF is due today and literally no sign - thank god! I'm hoping this is a sign that it isn't chemical but I know I'll have to wait a few weeks to be sure.

I tested with FR and cheapies earlier in the week and all negative until Friday at 11DPO and it was strong (that was an evening wee too!) xx

Highfalutinlootin · 21/11/2020 23:41

Well 11 DPO for me and another BFN. I've been using only FRERs so I've pretty much given up hope this cycle and am waiting for AF. This is only my first cycle trying so I can't believe women go through this month after month! So hard.

Highfalutinlootin · 21/11/2020 23:39

@Twinkle1989 what DPO were you when you first tested positive? Can't quite work it out from your posts. Congrats again!

madeinthe80z · 21/11/2020 15:39

Looking good!!
The babyplan ones are the ones I have been using this week..Will be interested to see what a positive looks like on them 🤣

Twinkle1989 · 21/11/2020 15:29

@madeinthe80z ❤️

Femometer cheapies - I've got some 10 ones arriving later - Baby Plan ones.

DP has made me do more tests today 😂 FR is darker I think and now the cheapies are showing - AF due today / tomorrow

The dreaded TWW!
madeinthe80z · 21/11/2020 13:15

I tested 3 times yesterday🙈🙊 😂 I've finally given up now, can pretty much tell AF is round the corner. Haven't even been tempted today!

madeinthe80z · 21/11/2020 13:04

@Twinkle1989 which cheapies were you using? Were they the 10mlu strength ones? (Clutching at straws that my bfn could turn into bfp before AF due on Monday 😂😂)

You have such a strong line on your FRER that I would have said you would have seen a faint positive on one earlier in the week. Some people continue to test until they are happy that the line is getting darker but honestly I wouldn't stress over it, just try and relax and look after yourself 🙂 it is most definitely not a false positive.

Forums such as this are a massive support but they also open your eyes to the world of what can go wrong, which I believe leads to increased anxiety. I had to delete this app when I was about 8 weeks pregnant because I was getting too stressed out! I read once 'you are pregnant today, thats all you need to think about right now' x

Twinkle1989 · 21/11/2020 12:51

@madeinthe80z I tested last night whilst I was running a bath and cleaning the bathroom 😳

I tested the previous day on a cheapie just hoping.

I tested with FR probably last weekend too and then I've done several cheapies in between.

I honestly didn't expect to be pregnant as I haven't had any key symptoms such as sore boobs. I was around somebody smoking yesterday and it nearly made me sick, I felt hot, sweaty and dizzy so really didn't think I had got a bug

I don't know whether to keep testing or what?! DP is worried in case it's a false positive(s) and doesn't want me to break my heart! 😭

madeinthe80z · 21/11/2020 12:34

@Twinkle1989 you must be so excited 😀😀 is this your first?

Do you mind me asking when you tested and your results leading up to your BFP? Your FRER is very strong but I remember you mentioning you tested BFN earlier this week.

madeinthe80z · 21/11/2020 12:25

I stopped very gradually over a couple of months. Once she started nursery full time, she lost interest in all but the feed when she got home and we stopped that just after 12 months.
Breastfeeding could have an impact on your cycles, have you noticed your ovulation day changing? Plenty of people have conceived very easily whilst BF though! 2 of my friends unexpectedly! X

mommyofone2019 · 21/11/2020 12:17

@madeinthe80z no I haven't been on the pill since I stopped to ttc my daughter. After she was born we used condoms as I didn't want to go back on it.
I've ordered some just folic acid tablets as I think the pregnacare are messing up my cycles 🥺
Must try harder next month 😞

Re breastfeeding. My daughters 15 months old and still has the boob. When she wakes, before her nap (once a day) and before bed. Then if she wakes in the night. Do you think this could have an effect on conceiving? How did you stop?

madeinthe80z · 21/11/2020 12:02

Erm, so my boobs decided to leak breast milk this morning!!! Am I so broody my boobs are leaking now?! I stopped breastfeeding almost 4 months ago and never had a leak between then and now!

@mommyofone2019 sorry about AF, so annoying 😒 were you taking any contraceptives before you started TTC?

Twinkle1989 · 21/11/2020 10:44

@mommyofone2019 perhaps knock the pregnancy vitamins on the head for a few cycles and see whether that helps? You could continue to take Folic Acid as recommended? xx

mommyofone2019 · 21/11/2020 10:23

So my last cycle was 32 days, this cycle was 26 days! What the hell is going on 🤷🏻‍♀️
The one before the 32 days was 35 days. Just all over the place atm.

BFN for me this morning. Still very early days but disheartening to see nonetheless.

Twinkle1989 · 21/11/2020 09:36

@mommyofone2019 I'm terrible for symptom spotting and haven't had any tell tale ones - my boobs aren't sore etc. I literally just felt weird, hot, sick and dizzy yesterday so was worried I had picked up a bug. I had a few very mild period cramps but it's AF due tomorrow so assumed it was that.

Feel absolutely fine today - nothing at all.

We DTD every other day just in between the two peaks. The last time I didn't think would have worked because there was a erm...spillage so still used Fertilily but thought it was pointless. Xx

The dreaded TWW!
Twinkle1989 · 21/11/2020 09:31

@mommyofone2019 only pregnacare when I remembered which was rare. I bought 3 boxes months ago and still am in the first box.
DP was taking the men's version sporadically too.

I will now take the pregnancy vitamin.

Procieve is supposed to be good and was my next stop - it's 3 for 2 in Boots - they do a max one for older mums / dads and the reviews are brilliant and say that it increases sperm count? Who knows!

I cut caffeine out completely though for the last 6 weeks xx

mommyofone2019 · 21/11/2020 09:17

@Twinkle1989 I've read it too. I've been about 5 days late so far and now 2 days early!!
Did you take anything?

OP posts:
Twinkle1989 · 21/11/2020 09:14

@mommyofone2019 it's funny you say that - when I started taking them, before TTC, I noticed my periods changed - later, and earlier - in all honesty, I forget to take them regularly so can't say longer term whether it settled down or not. I perhaps took 3/7 days 😳

I'm sure I read somewhere else about it messing with periods

mommyofone2019 · 21/11/2020 09:04

Thanks @Twinkle1989 will look into it.

My cycles have been all over the place the last few months, I'm convinced it's the pregnacare tablets I'm taking.

Can I ask you ladies what tablets/vitamins your're taking?

OP posts:
Twinkle1989 · 21/11/2020 08:24

Ladies, I just wanted to mention the Fertilily cup which I had used this month and I think it's a little different to the mooncup so would suggest trying it rather than the Mooncup.

Fertilily are similar to a moon cup but much smaller, softer and comfortable.

The Fertilily gets inserted like an umbrella so it pushes all the sperm further towards your cervix before you tug on the stem which pops it into position so it may be worth trying instead of a mooncup. Mooncups are inserted differently which wouldn't necessarily push the sperm up - if this makes any sense at all

I used it this month and I'm pregnant ❤️ definitely worth thinking about for £30 xx

mommyofone2019 · 21/11/2020 08:18

Well ladies that's me out for this month. Had cramps last night/this morning and just knew af was on the way.
Went for a wee at like 3am. And there she was 🥺 like wtf!
Af not due until Monday/Tuesday 🤷🏻‍♀️
