@Sallyjo27 oh sorry lovely I didn’t see the bit where you said you were already on meds. If you’ve already had the ultrasound/transvaginal scan & all the blood work, and all being clear...I am really unsure what else testing wise there would be to request. Perhaps book another appt and ask about any alternate medications that may be supportive, or perhaps an increase in any of the current meds, I’m not sure lovely. Please keep me updated. We too have had four losses, it’s very hard to stay optimistic but we will keep being strong and determined to get to our end goal won’t we. Sending you lots of hope and strong wishes lovely lady💫💓

Just catching up, sorry to hear sad news :(

So I am 9dpo (going by clear blue peak) I'm super duper hormonal, so grumpy! I've been having crazy dreams and I'm also cramping n a but uncomfortable tonight like my period might come!
I'm feeling like this is the longest tww ever as my periods were always bang on 28 days but since this is the first one since my mc i'm not sure when it will arrive.

I'm just gutted to be back in this position of waiting every month :(

MgW1 · 18/12/2020 21:52

@Sallyjo27
Yes there must be , I hope they get to the bottom of it soon for you. I have had 2 recurrent now so far now but I do have 2 children. Anxious to try again just yet , taking a bit of a break xx

Sallyjo27 · 18/12/2020 21:46

@HappyVibes @MgW1 I was taking 75mg of aspirin and 2x400mg of cyclogest and 5mg of folic acid- (due to my bmi too) day but that obviously didn’t work this time, (although I’ve heard 100s of success stories from taking them)
I had a sort of d&c last time and the hospital sent the wrong “tissue” off. Ridiculous I know! So I haven’t got much faith in my local hospital. I’m going to book another appointment with my private consultant for after Christmas and ask for more tests. Getting fed up with being told everything is normal from the tests when clearly it’s not after 4 miscarriages there must be a reason xxx

MgW1 · 18/12/2020 20:55

@Sallyjo27
I missed that your under a specialist. Im really sorry that it has happened again for you. I hope this doesnt sound cold but do you think there would be an option for you to have a d&c so they can then analyse the pregnancy to see what has happened ? Other than that I can't think of any other tests, iv heard that they prescribe aspirin and hormone medication or metformin with recurrent losses but dont know where your at with that , take care of yourself xxx

HappyVibes · 18/12/2020 20:22

@Sallyjo27 so sorry to hear this lovely, bless you so much 💓We too have had all our tests etc and all came back well, however because of the reoccurring losses, the gynaecologist was very forthcoming with the suggestion of aspirin 150mg per day (even though my blood were fine and not clotting), progesterone pessaries until week 13 of next pregnancy & also a significantly higher dosage of folic acid (5mg)! She was amazing and we are so completely reassured. Hopefully this supports you with your medical appointments and moving forward as this was NHS & I didn’t ask for it, she was forthcoming with this info xxxx

Hopingformyrainbow · 18/12/2020 18:52

@TheDaydreamBelievers could you tag me in the thread/ point me towards it. I’m a complete newbie and can’t seem to find it! X

MgW1 · 18/12/2020 18:51

@Sallyjo27
I am sorry to hear you have had a loss , have you been referred to a specialist now ? It must be so frustrating and stressful for you both. Did you watch the miscarriage documentary on channel 5 with Natasha Koplinski? Its worth a watch xxx

Sallyjo27 · 18/12/2020 18:39

@MgW1 no this is my 4th now. I’ve had a scan of my ovaries and womb and it was all fine. I’ve had an AMH blood test too and that’s come back fine as well. I’m 28 x

MgW1 · 18/12/2020 18:21

@Sallyjo27
Have you had 2 miscarriages ? I have had too and I am having a pelvic scan to check for fibroids and cysts etc... i had a scan with first mc bit only to check for a heart beat so I am having it all looked at now to make sure everything is ok. How old are you? X

flyinghigh101 · 18/12/2020 18:20

AF arrived today- my first since my MC. Back to work also so all happening! Feeling mixed emotions. Glad it's here and my body is doing what it should. Sad because this shouldn't be happening and I should be 12 weeks pregnant. Slightly relieved we didn't conceive when we were trying/not trying/but actually trying straight after the MC without a period first. I think I would have felt like a naughty school girl going against what the doctor said. 😂

Hopefulmummie · 18/12/2020 18:01

Hope every one is good today. Finally got my negative 2 weeks after miscarriage. Not sure if I've ovulated yet or when I will be so will probably just ttc on the next cycle

TheDaydreamBelievers · 18/12/2020 17:37

@Hopingformyrainbow I dont have any experience but lots of ladies on another thread I'm on have been talking about this - might be worth making a thread about it on the conception board as im sure there would be a lot of knowledgeable and interested people

Hopingformyrainbow · 18/12/2020 14:02

@susiebluebell thank you again for your suggestions. I feel atm like I can’t do much. I just spend lots of time in bed. I’m just full of fear that this is going to happen again.

I’ve called my hospital and asked the endocrinologist if she can give me a call to try and allay my worries about this being due to my thyroid problem. Does anyone have any experience of getting pregnant with subclinical hypothyroidism? I was assured that the treatment I was/am on would be enough to ensure it wouldn’t cause problems but I can’t help but assume that it did.

Sallyjo27 · 18/12/2020 13:59

Hi ladies how are you all? Unfortunately I’m back on the thread. I had a private scan today should of been 7w6d and found I’ve had another missed miscarriage. Baby’s heartbeat stopped at 6w3d. I’m going to the EPU Monday and will be ringing my clinic to make another appointment to see my consultant. Does anyone have any suggestions for tests I can ask for? I’ve had blood clotting, thyroid all come back fine. My husbands sperm analysis was normal too x

PumpkinEverything · 18/12/2020 13:48

So sorry for how your day is going @Garman 😔 that’s not fun to find out. Hopefully the bleeding from the pills is manageable and the next few weeks pass quickly for you.

susiebluebell · 18/12/2020 12:12

Sorry my first message was supposed to be @Garman don't know what happened there! 😄 I hope you can get the ball rolling with pills etc and childcare, I know you were hoping to get this over with xx

susiebluebell · 18/12/2020 12:08

Oh rubbish @VP91x

@Lozmagill Hi and welcome! I think there are ladies on here around your age and a couple who I know have at least started looking at IVF. Hope you can get some answers! X

@Hopingformyrainbow I agree with the other amazing advice, grieving will take the time it takes, but in times of grief (eg losing my dad, having the mc) it's made a world of difference to get out and walk every day, especially if you're working from home. You and DH will know when it's the right time to start TTC again. The only advice I have is to have a proper walk every day, and to let yourself grieve while also maintaining normality around you. It does get easier I promise Xx

Garman · 18/12/2020 11:10

Was back in for follow up scan that I thought would say incomplete miscarriage from 3 weeks ago was gone and done, and I could move on. Instead they said it's still incomplete because the endometrial lining is 2mm thicker than it should be. So I have to take the pills I thought I had avoided taking 2 weeks ago because I stupidly took the advice of the sonographer that day, who said if I had a lot of bleeding over the following few days I likely wouldn't need it, and I had loads of bleeding.

Have to take the pills tomorrow now when I get my mum to travel 3 hours to mind my dc and go back in January for a scan. Explaining to them that I don't have childcare for these things as my DH is working every day except the 25th and we've no support from his family who are local and can't just come in for a scan immediately after Christmas easily fell on deaf ears. So gutted and angry that it's not all over and will drag into next year, and that clearly any attempt at ttc this month has been pointless.

MSG92 · 18/12/2020 08:00

@Hopingformyrainbow I can't imagine what you've been through, you are one tough cookie for getting through it. I hope you and DH allow yourself time to grieve and to just be together, look after yourselves, that sounds like the most important thing right now. As time goes on you will start to feel better, not because you've forgotten what's happened but you'll become more at peace with it all, and that will allow you to move on properly. Take care both of you and enjoy some time together relaxing.

MgW1 · 17/12/2020 23:23

@Hopingformyrainbow
I think your body has been through so much stress, defo good idea to give yourself a month or 2 to heal. Its best for the next pregnancy as well, you obviously dont have trouble conceiving, I have every faith you will get your 🌈❤🙏 xx

PumpkinEverything · 17/12/2020 21:26

So sorry to hear that @Hopingformyrainbow 😔 I have tried to get out for a walk and fresh air everyday, and tried to do a few bits around the house to distract me. Don’t try to push yourself if you aren’t ready. It took us two days to decorate for Christmas because my heart wasn’t in it, and a lot of the time I was just sitting staring into space, but you’ll get through this! Just let yourself process it all and cry if you need to.

@bez91 funny I have been wondering if I have or am going to ovulate. I’ve had some one sided pain that I’ve felt during ovulation before, and a bit of spotting today. No EWCM though I normally do get. I feel like it’s too soon though so I’m trying not to think too much,

Hopingformyrainbow · 17/12/2020 21:25

@MgW1 thank you for trying to calm me. My acupuncture is £45 per session. I am uncertain if my TSH has settled yet - I’m waiting for bloods to be ran to check. X

MgW1 · 17/12/2020 21:21

@bez91
It probably isnt , you have probably just been unlucky.... 3rd time lucky 🤞🏻 xx

TheDaydreamBelievers · 17/12/2020 21:15

@bez91, like you I havent yet decided. We havent DTD at all yet actually. Will definitely wait until after negative tests though
