@MoMof4 and @griff2019 are you havung abdominal scans? I'm looking to book a private one at about 8 weeks just because of last time I'm nervous and would feel better if I can see the bean before 12 weeks scan.

HappyVibes · 15/11/2020 08:54

@Bellabubble so sorry lovely. It’s no an easy experience as is, but you’ve been through the mill with this bless you.

I would be tempted to still ask for a fertility referral and fertility investigations. I too can get pregnant but it’s the recurrent MC that’s being investigated which is giving me a lot of reassurance.

I’m all good thank you @MgW1 I’ve started round two clomid now so fingers crossed it works again for us 😊

Xxxx

MoMof4xx · 15/11/2020 08:50

@griff2019 morning, I completely understand how u feel. I've booked a scan for just after 7 weeks, 1st Dec. With my miscarriage it was a missed miscarriage so all the symptoms and all seemed OK but no heartbeat. I agree that waiting until 7 weeks is best because they will see the fetal pole then and a heartbeat, before... it may be too early. Could end up making u more anxious. Xx

RichmondLady1981 · 15/11/2020 07:59

@griff2019 morning. It’s sensible to go at 7 weeks as they can see so much more at that point. I know it’s so hard but so many more of your questions can be answered at the seven week stage. If you went earlier, you’d end up going back just after 7 weeks to see the heartbeat (sometimes not possible to see as late as 6/6.5 weeks).

Runnergirl1 · 14/11/2020 22:13

@griff2019 I’m with you on this one. It’s awful feeling like this.

@Bellabubble sorry again. It’s such an awful time and to be backwards and forwards with it all. Hope you have lots of support around you and good you have a plan x

MgW1 · 14/11/2020 22:05

@griff2019
I could do with a scan too. I have had nothing but cramps and every period iv had has been heavy. X

griff2019 · 14/11/2020 22:02

@MgW1 just want to check everything is ok after MC in august. Trying to remain positive but because that happened it's just all I think about this time around x

MgW1 · 14/11/2020 22:00

@griff2019
How come you have booked a scan? Sorry if i am a bit behind 🙈 xx

MgW1 · 14/11/2020 21:59

@HappyVibes
How are you doing ? Hope your feeling more positive. Iv had another heavy period and cramps , worrying something not quite right .... google scared me!!! Just want things to get back to normal so we have half a chance at conceiving!! X

griff2019 · 14/11/2020 21:57

Hi everyone, hope you're all doing ok.

I'm just feeling anxious and want a scan right away to check everything. Doctors wouldn't refer me as no reason to, don't like this anxious feeling though, booked a private one for 23rd but they rung and said prefer me to be 7 weeks so now I'm booked for 30th, feel selfish to say but it seems too far away.

Hope you're a ok on this Saturday evening, I'm just watching the voice xx

SS123456 · 14/11/2020 21:48

Thanks @Bellabubble , I'll give them a call on Monday in that case 😊

Bellabubble · 14/11/2020 21:22

@SS123456 They said between 3-5days, I rang up after 4 days and they had the results already :)

@RichmondLady1981 thank you - we’re hoping we can come to a creative solution that shows we are doing gokd reaching (in the current climate) without formal observations - I’ll be annoyed if they decide to come into my classroom and burst my bubble after they left me for a week without my TA or 1:1 (both were ill) because I couldn’t have anyone else from another bubble in woth me as it would compromise safety!

I went for my follow up scan today - no difference (which is what I had expected) but my body is not doing what it needs to do, so the lady is referring me to my local EPU on Monday. She said to go back to my Dr but don’t ask for fertility investigations, as I can fall pregnant, instead get a thyroid, sticky blood and vit b12 check. She said as it’s all bloods the Dr might say go ahead as it doesn’t cost them lots. So that is my plan for Monday - and if the Dr’s won’t, I think I’ll try the medichecks blood test route!

RichmondLady1981 · 14/11/2020 19:43

@daisyorange thanks for your message. Makes me feel better to know I’m not the only one feeling at the end of my tether. Lots of love. Enjoy some treats this weekend. 💋

daisyorange · 14/11/2020 18:24

@RichmondLady1981 I feel you. Natural cycles is now telling me I ovulated 5 days after my peak OPK 🙄! Which means I have no chance and the spotting was possibly OV bleed. Annoying!!!! Feel like we can’t catch a break. Did SMEP for first time and it could have been for nothing since I either 1) didn’t ovulate at all or 2) I did a week later. So I don’t know if I’m 8, 11 or 12 DPO! I give up!!

RichmondLady1981 · 14/11/2020 18:05

10dpo. Just caved and did a FRER! White as a ghost! This seriously is pissing me off now.

Now pass me the wine pls!

Happy Saturday night all x

susiebluebell · 14/11/2020 10:35

@daisyorange Ah hope you feel better soon and that AF either comes asap or stays away for the right reasons!

@HappyVibes No worries about the late reply, I've been off here for a day or so myself. Glad you are working on making a plan of action - it can make such a difference to how we feel about something we have precious little control over! I'm almost halfway through TWW and my plan of action is staying busy with studies, which is easy enough as there's loads to do 😉

Hope everyone has a good weekend! It's bucketing down with rain here in Cornwall!

daisyorange · 14/11/2020 09:59

Hello ladies just marking my place on the new thread.

11 DPO and think AF is on her way. 😢

Feeling a little deflated after such a positive week but trying to get myself back on the positive vibes again.

Hope everyone is ok x

RichmondLady1981 · 14/11/2020 07:51

@Bellabubble yes that’s hard on you guys.

The problem is, inspectors are saying they will still inspect remotely if necessary which is ridiculous.

The main issue for EYFS, distancing in the classroom means you lose so much of the group work, sharing equipment etc... which is the very nature of that cohort. Teachers are having to find completely different strategies to work with the children. Teachers at our school feel that their lessons are mediocre in comparison to usual and that under to current restrictions, there’s so many teaching strategies they can’t use, and it become very much back to the old-fashioned way of teaching standing in front of the classroom talking at the class.

If your senior management team choose to go ahead with the observations for monitoring purposes, they have to accept that the standard won’t be as high as, and because of that, they need to reassure their staff that they are not expecting to see ‘all singing and all dancing’ lessons.

SS123456 · 14/11/2020 07:08

@Bellabubble how long did it take to get your 21 day blood results back? I had mine done on Wednesday but wasn't told how long they take

I wouldn't have thought your results would be distorted during a pregnant cycle as you may not have even implanted by that point

Bellabubble · 13/11/2020 22:02

@RichmondLady1981 We are due observations in the next few weeks, and some people are saying it’s too much stress on too of the recent changes we have made for covid and don’t want them to happen (sadly, we’re RI except for Early Years, so we need evidence of good teaching - I was in charge of EY when we were last inspected, but this is my first year in KS1, so feeling the pressure a bit!)

The head is open to discussions if we have creative solutions to observations - I was thinking maybe questions for the children - see if they can communicate their learning? Observations through IWB sounds stressful for you guys!

RichmondLady1981 · 13/11/2020 21:15

Thank you ladies. Let’s see! 😬

@Bellabubble I’m observing lessons remotely! Not even school and we are still doing it. One was a PGCE observation and the other who were for interviews. Water through the camera of the IWB. Why you ask?

Bellabubble · 13/11/2020 21:06

@RichmondLady1981 oo fingers crossed for you!! So exciting! How is remote teaching going?

Anyone who has had the cd21 blood test, this a random question..but..my results came ba k as normal, but I was one week into the tww at that point, and it was the cycle I was pregnant in. Do you think being 7days “pregnant” (I’m guessing it could potentially not even have implanted at that stage!) would skew the results?

Also - I know theres a couple of teachers on here (I don’t want to fill this thread with work chat) but could I possible DM (or feel free to DM me) about what your schools are doing observations wise during covid, or whether you are doing something different for now? It wiuld be mich appreciated :) xxx

SS123456 · 13/11/2020 20:32

🤞🏻 for you @RichmondLady1981 . AF is due Thursday for me (1st cycle after mc last month) so I'll likely test in the next few days

HappyVibes · 13/11/2020 20:29

Oh my gosh burning nipple is a symptom I had @RichmondLady1981 Good luck! This is a very good sign. Eeeeek 💓

RichmondLady1981 · 13/11/2020 20:27

9/10 DPO today and my nipples feel burny and throbby. They don’t usually. AF due on Monday. Too scared to test!!! 😭. Going to wait.... I think.

Anyone else due to test?
