Welcome @elsimo & sorry to hear of your story. It seems that you yourself have a beautiful success story re post MC 💓There have been soooo many BFPs lately in this thread which gives so so much hope for us all. Good luck 💫

susiebluebell · 26/11/2020 08:05

Good morning @elsimo and welcome! I'm so sorry for your loss 💕 I'm still waiting for my BFP (hopefully not too far off) but what has really helped me accept the mc is finding out that it most often happens because there's something wrong with the baby. So even though it's heartbreaking, in some ways it's nature protecting both of us from more suffering.

I'm sure like me you are wanting to hear from all the ladies who have got their BFPs and there have been so many recently 😁 Just something I have been thinking a lot about over the past few weeks. Welcome again! X

Hi there everyone,

New to this forum and looking for some hope.
So I had a mc in 2016 and fell pregnant quickly after and had my little girl in 2017.
We have been trying for a second for over a year and finally fell pregnant with twins which stopped growing at 6 weeks which we found out at 8 weeks. I had surgical managment yesterday.
We have had all the fertility tests and there was no issue with me or my partner.
The only thing thats keeping me going is the thought of trying again and hoping that I am super fertile following this and it doesn’t take me another year to conceive!!
Any positive stories/tips?

Jessicapebbles · 25/11/2020 22:40

Thank you all for your lovely comments!! Xx

RichmondLady1981 · 25/11/2020 22:30

@Bellabubble you’re amazing. People will take so much strength from what you’re saying on this forum. You’re so right... you know you’re fertile and now you’re surrounded by lots of great people who can support you through this. You’re so lucky to have such great doctors- take full advantage. I’m so glad you’re past the op stage and no longer terrified of an anaesthetic- I felt exactly the same and now I’m nowhere near as scared.

I’m now back at work! that two weeks went super fast! Having a full month of hormone tests/bloods done so hopefully results back before Xmas. Just to check all is right. Would be nice peace of mind in time for the NY.

Fertile window next week so let’s see what this month brings. Hope your cycle settles and your body gets back to doing it’s thing very soon. Take it easy x

MSG92 · 25/11/2020 22:13

@chloedancer897 I'm so sorry you feel this way, when you say you aren't going to try, does that mean your not going to not try? As in you'll carry on DTD but as and when you want to and not because it's the right time in your cycle? You never know, things happen when you least expect them! I think it's great though, that you've decided to close this chapter and enjoy what you have. Beat of luck for the future x

chloedancer897 · 25/11/2020 21:21

Hey all, just thought I'd quickly pop on and say hi again since I've been MIA. AF appeared two bloody days early today so that was a great surprise. I also rang my consultant in a state last week begging to go on clomid but he wouldn't prescribe it because he said I don't need it. I'm pretty much done trying now anyway as it's completely taking it out of me mentally. Talked with DH today and he said it's a bit late in our lives to start again anyway with our youngest being 8 in 2 weeks and he feels like we have everything we need already. I don't agree but I think he's just done with the stress of it all and wants to move on.

I keep popping on every time I get a notification to see the lovely BFPs and this month was (shamefully) the first month I've been genuinely happy and not a bit jealous of anyone who got their positive test. I'm always happy for you guys but I'm usually horribly jealous. I think I've come to terms with the fact that this door is closed for me. Good luck to everyone in their TWW. Can't wait to see more BFPs under the tree!❤️

Furbsies · 25/11/2020 20:55

@msg92 hey thanks for asking. I have pcos in both ovaries and have a few intramural and subserosal fibroids. Nothing that should prevent me from conceiving apart from pcos. So here's hoping it works out
I am so sorry about covid. Its 7 months down the line for me and I only just started smelling some strong smells last month.

RichmondLady1981 · 25/11/2020 20:43

@HappyVibes hello! I’ve heard lots of people saying they take aspirin. Why is that? What does it do?

susiebluebell · 25/11/2020 20:16
@susiebluebell I completely understand that! That was my reason too! You might be able to find some that aren’t too expensive - mine was £79, but my friends went somewhere that were doing a Monday deal for £20! I chose the lasy I went to becaushe had previously been a midwife and still kept up with her training. My EPAC were a but funny at first about me using a private but then saw her name and realised they used to work with her, so they took it a bit more seriously!
Thank you, that's encouraging. Fingers and toes crossed for the weekend when we test, and then if all is good, looking into scans as early as possible! No naivety this time around...

@Jessicapebbles Wonderful progression, it looks so good! Congratulations and wishing you all the best with it xx

Mommybear05 · 25/11/2020 20:10

@Bellabubble thank you. And I’m really sorry to come back here and see that you are going through mc again! Big hugs! I really hope that your cycle settles back down so you can try again as I’ve read the thread and you seem so keen to try again straight away. But I know wouldn’t take away any of the heartache. You seem so strong with your second mc. I’m now pg after my first mc in March and you just never know what will happen but reading of your strength gives me strength.
Ps can’t believe they’re doing observations at your school! We’re not having any at the moment xxx

HappyVibes · 25/11/2020 18:57

Good evening ladies,

For those who have taken aspirin...what dosage have you taken, how many DPO & for how long?

Thank you xxx

MSG92 · 25/11/2020 17:50

@MoMof4xx ah that's awesome!! Yes, that's when it got really bad, I went to the bathroom about 5 or 6 times yesterday morning thinking I was about to throw up, the bands have helped today, still felt sick but didn't run to the toilet gagging! Yup, sore boobs but unfortunately for me no increase in size! I was hoping mine 2oild get bigger and stay bigger haha.
I haven't booked one... I keep going to then thinking no I'll wait for 12 weeks, I want to clear my debts etc before baby arrives so every little helps!

Runnergirl1 · 25/11/2020 17:43

@Jessicapebbles congratulations, that’s progressed well x

MoMof4xx · 25/11/2020 17:32

@Jessicapebbles congratulations:) x
@MSG92 im 6w4days today too. I found the nausea hit at 6 weeks exactly. What about u? Mints help me and eating little and often. Struggling with the heavy boobs atm, must have gone up a cup size..ouch.
Have u booked an early scan? I've got my 7w1 day scan on Sunday. Booked it privately. Terrified as I approach this time as I had a missed miscarriage around this time earlier this year. Will feel better once I see the babies heartbeat x

MSG92 · 25/11/2020 15:12

@Jessicapebbles congratulations!!!!!! Amazing news. A few BFP's on here lately, let's hope they keep going.

@HappyVibes I hope your TWW goes quickly, it's the worse time isn't it! I'd rather know straight away if it worked or not.

I'm nearly recovered from covid, still no smell, everything tastes a bit weird but don't feel unwell anymore. Haven't not made it to 6 weeks 4 days before this nausea thing is new to me but OMG it's horrid! I can't believe how sick I feel. I'm wearing travel bands now from first thing in the morning until evening which help a bit, I'm a bit concerned as I'm supposed to go on a trip with my mum and sister next week but I get travel sick anyway, with pregnancy as well I think it might become actual vomit! But I don't want to tell anyone yet, anyone got any advice? I feel like I might be sick from the moment I wake until about 12pm then it's nausea the rest of the day.

@Furbsies have you spoken with your Gp yet following your scan?

HappyVibes · 25/11/2020 14:21

Awww beautiful @Jessicapebbles Congratulations lovely. Wishing you a strong and health nine months lovely 💓💫

Jessicapebbles · 25/11/2020 13:52

Well that confirms it! Very early days but keeping everything crossed that this baby stays 💕
Baby dust to everyone!!

Bellabubble · 25/11/2020 12:17

@RichmondLady1981 thank you! I’m feeling surprisingly ok! I think I had the time between scans to make peace with what had happened - and then with my fear of the general anaesthetic, now that is out the way I kind of feel like I’m resdy to try again. It sounds weird but it has given me hope that I can conceive, and if my next bfp isn’t great news again - at least we get offered tests! I also had an amazing Dr - he is an obgyn over here from Kenya to learn more about minimal access surgery so he can take it back to Kenya with him - but he took me through every process, from discussing my options, to doing my pre-op, to doing the actual op. His level of care was outstanding - and he told me to call EPAC when I fall pregnant again so he can monitor me closely (I think obgyn’s in Africa are more like those in USA and oversee the whole birth a bit more, I googled him after and he has helped deliver 1000s of babies with no mother or baby mortalities) So I hope I fall pregnant before he has to go back to Kenya - because he is the sort if person pregnant women need fighting their corners! He knew how nervous I was and made sure the whole team knew - compared to my friend who had hers a few weeks ago at a different hospital, I feel like I was looked after so much more! Work wise, my head gave me to today - then tomorrow as PPA so can take from home if needed, but I do feel ok so don’t know what to do really. Getting back to normal is always best for my mind!

Sorry - such a long rambling reply!! How are you though? Are you in your second week of remote teaching?

HappyVibes · 25/11/2020 11:32

@SS123456 that’s exciting that you have the fertility clinic appointment - it’s nice to have another avenue so close so that you’re not feeling stagnant.

We are similar as we have our appt with consultant in a few weeks to discuss our results and what they mean, and how to help going forward.

The limbo stage - enjoy all your cosy comforts in that stage that you perhaps don’t do in FW or TWW. Xxx

SS123456 · 25/11/2020 11:24

Fingers crossed for you BFP @HappyVibes 😁🤞🏻

I am due to ovulate in around 10 days so just in the limbo period at the moment. We have a virtual open evening for a fertility clinic booked for tomorrow so that is getting my through at the moment. 15 months of ttc and a mc last month is taking its toll now 😔

HappyVibes · 25/11/2020 11:10

Good morning lovely ladies,

How is everyone doing this month in their cycles? Just wondering where everyone is up to in their cycle?

I have just got my peak so soon to be entering the lovely TWW. Feeling very blaze and a bit numb to it all now after all the emotional rollercoasters, I think I’ve just finally got to the level of ahhhh it is what it is. This is our last cycle where we could get a BFP before our EDD from our MMC, which would seriously help us emotionally for the EDD...fingers crossed.

Have we any testers soon?

Have I got any TWW buddies this cycle? I’ll be entering probably Friday into mine.

💓💫

Pugprincess · 25/11/2020 10:33

@susiebluebell no problem I hope you can get something sorted. Definitely ask your gp what services they offer where you are incase it’s different if you can’t find anything on google. Xx

@Tink20058 hi how are you getting on!? I’m now 19+4! 20 week scan looming for Monday! Been feeling movements since 15 weeks! Getting big now. Xx

susiebluebell · 25/11/2020 10:22

@Jessicapebbles There's a faint line there alright! Test again in a couple of days. Congratulations 😍
