Thanks, oh yeah these are cheapies, I wouldn't be forking out a tenner a go on the digi ones at all!

HappyVibes · 11/12/2020 13:17

Hi @Garman sending you lots of strength as this time is very hard. It can take a while for hormone levels to resume back to pre pregnancy, so the faint positive is a good sign as indicating that your levels are reducing, just need a tiny bit longer. I wouldn’t take into account any OPK results until you have the full negative pregnancy test as the hormones from pregnancy will effect this. I would also recommend using cheapie OPK for the first cycle at least post MC, instead of clearblue digi, as again, hormones can be picked up and a bit thrown off. Sending you strength lovely 💓xxxxx

MSG92 · 11/12/2020 13:07

Hi @Garman I'm not sure about your specific situation but I only took a pregnancy test because my ovulation test was so strong, the pregnancy hormone looks the same as the ovulation hormone to the tests so an ovulation test can sometimes pick up pregnancy (did in my case). Maybe your hcg levels haven't dropped enough yet for a negative result.

Can I ask for some advice from those with a bit more experience of this than me? I miscarried last week at 10 weeks, bleeding and cramping started Sunday, Monday night was the worst of the pain/contractions and lots of bleeding, Wednesday I passed the sac, Friday I had lots of further bleeding after a scan showed there was still one clot left. Been spotting since, still red, on and off though, keep thinking it's stopped and there will be a bit more!

Today I did a pregnancy test and ovulation test, purely because both arrived and because my usual period app says its near my fertile window but isn't taking miscarriage into account obviously. I got a faint positive on both, is it normal to still have a faint positive pregnancy test a week later when I'm 99% sure everything is gone?

The ovulation test had a very faint second line, just want to confirm that this actually means it's negative and ovulation isn't imminent?

Thanks in advance x

@MgW1 congratulations! So lovely to see positive news :)

I'm feeling pretty anxious, I was told to do a pregnancy test today (3 weeks after my MVA procedure ). I'm really nervous it will be positive and I'll need to go back to the hospital. My bleeding only stopped fully the day before yesterday which I'm fairly sure is unusual? And my boobs have still been a little sore, so I'm just worried the procedure didn't fully work.

Emilu89 · 11/12/2020 11:39

@thedaydreambelievers so sorry its rubbish for you! After my mmc surgery the bleeding lasted alot longer than I expected it kept stopping or trialling off and then after 3 days would start again. It lasted for 2 weeks (and i'd already had 3.5 weeks of bleeding prior to that with medical procedure before the surgical) it's draining and like a horrible reminder I really hope it stops soon for you.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 11/12/2020 11:15

1.5 weeks I mean! Surgery was 30th November

TheDaydreamBelievers · 11/12/2020 11:14

My update - still waiting for bleeding to stop 1.5 days after MMC surgery. Thought it had gone away yesterday then ramped back up overnight. Sighhh

Thank you @Sarahdaydreamer1234 @HappyVibes for your responses!

I have had 2 miscarriages in the space of 6 months and I am 100% expecting it to happen for a third time but want to do everything I can to avoid it.

My GP said it was ok to take but didn't say about whether to take during the TWW or wait until I have had a positive. Currently on 7/8 DPO and have taken it for the last two days - but now debating about stopping and waiting until I get a positive. Oh what to do!!

We are trying for a third time but I have done some research on private clinics just encase we decide not to wait for the NHS to refer us.

I think the baby asprin is just another phrase for the 75mg ones as that is what I am taking also.

@RichmondLady1981 / a temp drop may just be a one off, see what it is tomorrow morning. Best of luck!

X

Congratulations @mgw1 what a lovely early Christmas present,, wishing you all the best!
Abit tmi but I've just had my first period since my mmc. I feel quite relieved, but I'm fed up of the amount of blood I've seen over the past 2 months haha! I'm so longing for another baby (I have a DD already who is my world) but I'm really apprehensive about ttc again. I already regret leaving it so long to try and it took a year to fall before the miscarriage. So my plan for now is to not try but not prevent. Then in maybe 3 months time I'll start tracking ovulation and going from there (3 months sounds so far a way I bet I don't stick to this plan haha!)

Sarahdaydreamer1234 · 11/12/2020 09:50

@j785948 I've been prescribed this from my miscarriage clinic along with heparin and progesterone for my next pregnancy but have been advised to only take aspirin after a BFP. I think there is a small risk of aspirin affecting implantation but I think each clinic had different views on this. To be honest out of the 12 months i have taken it 2 months just to see and i did notice my period came a bit sooner than expected and a bit heavier so it definitely does something. I was going to take baby aspirin (75mg) even if they didn't prescribe it from BFP as I've heard it helps so many people.

HappyVibes · 11/12/2020 09:29

@RichmondLady1981 it’s in aim of helping the blood flow through the body and to the uterus...in aim of minimising risk of clots (which is often a cause for reoccurring mc). I’ve just taken usual Aspirin but low dosage, I’m not sure what ‘baby aspirin’ is.

I’ve noticed that my AF is so much of a fresher blood colour this month after taking the aspirin for one month..it’s usually soooo much darker and usually quite a lot of clots too. Interesting. I’ve only just actually put two and two together as I’ve typed this, so thanks @J785948

I will of course. Heck it out on Monday with gynae too but my research was that it’s abso fine even if don’t have APS so I’m not worried about taking it without medical oversight at this stage as it’s such low dosage xxxx

RichmondLady1981 · 11/12/2020 09:23

Slight temp drop for me today at 10dpo. Would expect it to start rising a little by now. Let’s see.

May I ask what the purpose of baby aspirin is?

HappyVibes · 11/12/2020 09:09

Morning @J785948 we have had four losses. Awaiting appt on Monday with gynae for results with bloods and scans etc. I started taking one tablet low dosage aspirin for this past cycle after researching and finding that it can’t do no harm even if don’t have APS xxx

J785948 · 11/12/2020 08:37

Morning all!

For those of you who have unfortunately had more than one miscarriage, have any of you tried taking really low baby asprin once a day?

I have seen lots of women who have tried this after more than one miscarriage and have had success.

X

susiebluebell · 10/12/2020 21:55

And I'm sorry your AF arrived @meganlaura @HappyVibes Spoil yourselves a bit! X

susiebluebell · 10/12/2020 21:54

No apparent reason... Ain't that the truth @Sarahdaydreamer1234 @meganlaura

Sarahdaydreamer1234 · 10/12/2020 20:18

@meganlaura I just wanted to say I understand its so hard not getting pregnant soon after a miscarriage.. And wanted to share that I got my blood scans and test results from the fertility clinic today and everything was fine after ttc for 12 months after our last misscarriage and I asked would the miscarriage have affected anything any they said no.. It just seems to be taking a while for me for no apparent reason.. I know I sometimes wondered if the miscarriage itself could have done something.. I hope your rainbow baby is just around the corner for xx

Beginning of August. I take seven seas vits and my husband is on wellman. I tried Evening primrose as well for first 2 weeks of my cycle. Conception may have occured for you but due to recovering hormones it might not have been right. If you mc 4 months ago then you must be nearly there hun , keep trying. I got really down about it all at times its hard because your head feels ready to move on but your body has other ideas. Also stress cortisol can affect fertility , its a major trauma is a mc and just think , every month your a step closer and a bit longer in your vitamins .... it all helps xx[/quote]
This is such a lovely positive outlook to have ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

RichmondLady1981 · 10/12/2020 18:17

@HappyVibes sorry to hear AF arrived. Think of all the wine and nice stuff you can get involved in over Xmas. 🍷 😘

meganlaura · 10/12/2020 18:17

Congratulations @MgW1 how long has it been since your miscarriage? It's been almost four months since mine. Had cramps last few days, was hoping they were implantation cramps but unfortunately got my period today. Treating myself to a glass of vino and Christmas movie. Urgh why does no one tell you it's this hard to get pregnant when you're a horny teenager?!

MoMof4xx · 10/12/2020 16:42

@MgW1 congratulations. Amazing news x
