No sign yet of AF yet @MrsKin90 will hold out until Monday before taking a test 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

MrsKin90 · 16/01/2021 15:11

Thanks both, I sort of feel like I probably ovulated but will know more in the next few days 😊
Hopefully you'll both know you're in your tww soon also!! I feel like the majority of people on this thread should be coming up to their tww now?

@Sydney1986x any news regarding AF? Still have my fingers crossed she doesn't show for you!

Lori23TTC · 16/01/2021 14:29

@eloiseislost thank you for taking the time to show me! Much appreciated but I don’t have the premium (prob the only thing I’ve not invested in with ttc!) ok I will see if I get any kind of change in my RHR - I wear it to bed so that’s good.

@MrsKin90 I think you have ovulated on CD17 but that’s my opinion 🙌 so you are in your TWW... my opk was darker this lunchtime so will SI tonight.. I’m the opposite of you - I’m always cold 🥶! X

eloiseislost · 16/01/2021 13:13

@MrsKin90 If your temps are normally this low, then there's a very good chance you did ovulate sometime between 16/17. Your last 2 temps are higher than the 6 before them, so it looks good! And looks like your SI timing is on point as well! 🙂

MrsKin90 · 16/01/2021 12:29

@eloiseislost 😂 hilarious that you bought it and didn't know! The things we do eh?
My temps are always quite low 😕 they were a bit higher when temping vaginally. 36.36 (very precise I know) is where my temps usually sit around 3/4dpo orally though. When they hit that I'm always happy I've ovulated. I know I've been suffering with mucus-snot-throat for basically my entire cycle, and waking up without any covers. It's funny because I feel quite hot 100% of the time which is why I can sleep without any covers even when it's freezing. I went to the doctor's about it 😳 and asked them to investigate my thyroid, but of course when they take your temperature fully clothed in the middle of the day it's a lot higher and my tests came back normal. I feel like I probably ovulated CD16/17 but honestly my body could be being a dickhead and actually ovulate in ten days 🙄

eloiseislost · 16/01/2021 12:02

@MrsKin90 It's on my to-do list to investigate this further, so I'll keep you up to date!

I didn't know chart duo was a premium feature. As a matter of fact I didn't know I have FF Premium! 😵 Turns out I did pay for it some time in October, another TTC anxiety induced purchase… 🤭

Your temps are quite low, where are they normally after ovulation? It looked like you had a nice dip and rise on CD16-17.

MrsKin90 · 16/01/2021 11:54

@eloiseislost i forget you have an Apple watch! It's interesting that they calculate so differently! I'd be interested in you having another scan to see if weight loss has gotten rid of the cysts? Tell your doctor more than one person is invested in the news to see if it helps? 😂 But yes probably not what they're interested in doing right now.

@Lori23TTC the the/duo graph is only an option on VIP/premium FF 😊 although I didn't know how to do it either so if I ever access the free trial I'll give it a go too! Make sure you wear your Fitbit overnight if you can as that's where it takes the RHR readings from. What happens at ovulation seems to be very individual! My RHR goes up after I ovulate and down with AF, but a lot of people get a big dip in RHR the day of/day after ovulation, and then a rise after that! So either way people seem to get a rise eventually in the tww 😊 lots of things can affect it though - dehydration, lack of sleep, more sleep than usual etc. So it's not the most accurate!!
I'm on CD19 today, here's my crazy BBT graph 🤨🙄 it's almost pointless lol we've been very chill (too chill really) with doing SI this cycle, but I think my spirit needed a break.

@Lori23TTC Sorry, I only sent you have the instructions! Press the Chart Duo button under your chart, set RHR as primary sign and make sure the bbt scale box is unchecked. 🙂

eloiseislost · 16/01/2021 11:14

@Lori23TTC Make sure that the "Use the BBT Scale" checkbox is not checked!

Lori23TTC · 16/01/2021 10:52

@eloiseislost how do you get your RHR to go into your chart in a graph?? That’s really helpful mine just sits as numbers at the bottom. I think you are right skip a day and do the next day - me and hubby do everyday too and hasn’t got us pregnant yet so we are doing every other and maybe an extra one when I get a peak OPK to give the swimmers more time to build up.
@MrsKin90 well I will take that ha I don’t feel particularly fit bit hey ho. So once I ovulate should my RHR go up or down?? Sorry yours hasn’t gone up yet... what day are you on? So frustrating xx

eloiseislost · 16/01/2021 10:16

@MrsKin90 I have an Apple Watch which is not as good at heart rate measurements as Fitbit. And I don't wear it at night, so it waits for me to sit still for a bit to calculate RHR. And that doesn't happen until maybe after lunch!

I have PCOS too; well, they saw cysts in my right ovary 10 years ago on a routine ultrasound (I was living in Greece at the time and it's very common to have an ultrasound along with your smear) and said that it was due to PCOS. But my periods are fairly regular since I lost all that weight 5 years ago so no idea what's happening now. If not for COVID, I might have asked the GP to confirm the diagnosis with ultrasound/hormonal panel but I fear his laughter will deafen me over the phone if I call and ask for these right now. 🤣

MrsKin90 · 16/01/2021 10:06

@eloiseislost bless him, that's weirdly sweet! Well done going for a run! Funny that yours doesn't calculate straight away. Mine calculates within five minutes of me synching it in the morning. Mine stayed the same today, was hoping for a rise as that usually confirms O.
I don't do OPKs. I have PCOS, I drink a lot of water in the day, I don't think I can deal with so many negative tests, even if they're not pregnancy ones 😂

eloiseislost · 16/01/2021 09:29

@MrsKin90 I think you're right, we'll take a break today and do one tomorrow just to be safe! DH will appreciate the break! Though he's very cool about it, I must say, every day after my period is over, he comes to me when he finishes work and asks "Do I get the disc today?" 😅
RHR not calculated yet today, I went for a run shortly after I woke up so it will take a few hours still. If I have already ovulated, it will be lower today. 🤞🏼

I don't remember, are you using OPKs this cycle?

MrsKin90 · 16/01/2021 09:22

@eloiseislost my BBT... Was exactly the same as yesterday 😂
I would say you've either ovulated yesterday or you're going to today. I don't think I'd do another si today and would maybe do a safety one tomorrow just in case? That's just me though and we couldn't do two days in a row let alone 4!! What did your RHR do today?

eloiseislost · 16/01/2021 07:30

@MrsKin90 I beat you to the tantrum, my BBT is trolling me! I thought it would've gone up today and that'll be the 2WW starting but nooooope! I don't know if I can ask DH for another SI tonight, I feel like he's dry after 4 days in a row, 7 total in the space of 10 days. 😫

The Turkey Baster Gang (gobble gobble)
MrsKin90 · 15/01/2021 22:35

@Lori23TTC I thought lower meant fitter?? 😂 I'd be boasting about it if that were my rhr 😁 at least you've also covered your bases if you do ovulate a bit early! 🤞
If I wake up and my BBT is right down again prepare yourselves for a temper tantrum 🤨

Lori23TTC · 15/01/2021 22:19

Oh and I always feel so exhausted around ovulation - I bloat and get tired 😴 I’m really early in my cycle but getting all the symptoms of ovulation today - will SI tomo tho as did it last night xx

Lori23TTC · 15/01/2021 22:18

Funny you mentioned RHR - after you ladies were talking about it a few pages ago I dug my fit bit out and I’ve been doing it this month so far my RHR is 58/59 so be interesting to see if it changes... why is mine so low 🙄 xx

MrsKin90 · 15/01/2021 21:38

Glad it's not just me 😂 my rhr doesn't go up that quickly after O. It goes from 65 to 66/67 and then goes up a point a day until 70 and roughly stays there! Comes down to 63/64 when AF arrives. It's super interesting!

eloiseislost · 15/01/2021 21:03

@MrsKin90 100% on ovulation day (and the day before sometimes) I'm always exhausted. I also get a sharp spike in my resting heart rate, from 65-70 to 80-85 😱 No wonder I'm knackered!

MrsKin90 · 15/01/2021 20:49

@Sydney1986x my fingers are tightly crossed for you that AF does not show! 🤞🤞

@Makingnumber2 I wouldn't worry about suddenly O'ing a bit earlier. I'd do SI today if you can either way as I'd use the rule of always doing it if you see fertile CM just in case!

@Lori23TTC if it makes you feel better I'm doing BBT and still don't think I'll know for sure when I ovulate 😂 sometimes these things are more stress than they're worth and if you're doing SMEP you'll be covered regardless of when you ovulate! 😊

@eloiseislost I hope your BBT goes up tomorrow so you can have a rest from holding your legs in the air! (If you do that!). I'm glad the Tesco one seems okay for you! So much cheaper and like you, the conceive+ gave me a bit of a burny irritated feeling but I've been fine with the Tesco one and it has less of a smell in my opinion and a nicer texture.

Does anyone else feel utterly totally exhausted when they ovulate? I reckon I've probably ovulated already because I'm dead on my feet but might just be wishful thinking!

eloiseislost · 15/01/2021 19:15

@Lori23TTC It's raining BFPs these days! We've had 3 already and we are only 2 weeks into 2021! 🎉💞 Such a hopeful start to the year, I am proper chuffed!

Currently lying down after SI, it should be the last one if my BBT is up tomorrow 🤞🏼
I think I'll keep the cup in for the full 12 hours.
@MrsKin90 you mentioned the Tesco Conception Support lubricant a few pages back, thanks for this! Got them yesterday, much cheaper than Preseed/Conceive+ and they feel great. Conceive+ makes me itchy the next day. 😳

Lori23TTC · 15/01/2021 17:57

@Birchybirch congratulations to you this is amazing! I feel 2021 is going to be better as already we have had 2 positives how exciting! Lovely if you guys stayed with us to give us hope!

@Makingnumber2 we are cycle buddies - I am CD12 and waiting for my peak, I’m not doing bbt as I’m getting up between 4-6 every morning and it would be all over the place anyway and I do feel a lot more relaxed which is good, annoying I won’t know when I ovulate exactly but hey ho I’m just going with the flow! Still doing the SMEP so next one is tomorrow and I’m peeing on sticks which do seem to be getting darker... just going to wait and see. I also always used to ovulate around CD17/18 but the past 4 months or so it’s been 15/16 - no idea why so if I were you I would SI at your next opportunity just in case if you can for peace of mind xx

Makingnumber2 · 15/01/2021 16:35

It is definitely great to have you staying @bigsweetpotato, as someone else said it's so reassuring to have hope that SI can and does work!
I am CD13 today but I have been having so much CM (watery) yday and horrible tummy pains yday I did an OPK which was negative- not a surprise as usually I ov CD17 but I was just feeling so weird yday. More pains today and also some EWCM so think I may be on to ov early this month! Which hasn't happened in like 18 months of tracking so I have no idea whether this could be a good or bad thing?? I haven't done an OPK yet today but will be gobsmacked if it's positive and also annoyed as we have done no SI this cycle and weren't planning on beginning til Sunday. Think we will have to start tonight and through til next Monday which according to the app is end of my FW. I am hoping OPK isn't positive or I will feel I have messed this cycle up and totally missed my chance. Ugh- never a dull moment with TTC is there?! It's just one angst inducing moment after another Grin
Exciting times about your vaccine @eloiseislost and great news you got the Pfizer! My mum had it a few weeks ago as she is NHS nurse and she said her arm was so sore after it for 48 hours, it kept her awake that night! But apart from that, and not being able to stop saying she had had vaccine done Wink no untoward side effects at all! Bet you feel happier about being at work now you've had it done!

Sydney1986x · 15/01/2021 11:29

Congratulations @Birchybirch !!! I am so happy for you and so reassured this method can work... gives me hope!!

@bigsweetpotato yes please stay, I’d love to hear how you are getting on and how your first midwife appt goes!!

I am anxiously awaiting AF still, due tomorrow. Have decided to accept the covid vaccine after weighing everything up.

Hope everyone’s ok and it’s so lovely to have some positive news!! Xx
