@eloiseislost that's a good progression on your line! 😊 I work for the NHS in MH, and our guidance says you're not considered at additional risk from COVID until 26 weeks+, but if you're dealing with anyone who might be violent etc. I'd really recommend telling your line manager/the ward manager early. They'll need to do a risk assessment for you but should still keep the news confidential. Not to lecture you, and you have to make the right choice for you, but this is what I would do!

@DinkBoo glad you've seen a doctor, will be crossing everything for good news from your scan tomorrow! Please let us know how you get on.

@Lori23TTC and @Oilyoilyoilgob will be crossing fingers for your SI and FW and swimmers getting to those eggs! 🤞🙏

eloiseislost · 18/11/2020 16:54

@Lori23TTC Since I've shared so many links with you 🤣 here's one for my favourite spiced rooibos tea:

@Oilyoilyoilgob it’s nice we are both in our fertility week together 🥰 I hope your little swimmers are on their way to the egg now too! I’m only CD13 (normally ovulate on CD18) but last month it happened on 14 so doing it early, I’m having awful cramps today and my OPK looks dark but is in the ‘high’ not peak yet so will do another SI tonight!

If you do have the red raspberry leaf tea you must not drink it after you ovulate...

‘Raspberry leaf balances hormones and helps to prepare the body for ovulation when taken during the follicular phase.’

@eloiseislost oo the rooibos tea sounds nice I’ll have a look into that too!

@DinkBoo hope the appointment goes well so glad you got one!

Thank you everyone who wished a good fertile week 🥰 you guys are so lovely xx

DinkBoo · 18/11/2020 16:35

@eloiseislost I decided to seperate my excitement for you from my longer less cheery post Grin

I think you should feel able to tell someone at work, even though it's early, the first trimester can be awful in terms of worry and how you feel, having to pretend nothing is going on just adds stress on top. Add covid on top when your immune system can be being a knobhead, and you have plenty of reasons to ask for consideration.

eloiseislost · 18/11/2020 16:23

@DinkBoo Sorry, we posted at the same time! It's good that you are getting a scan tomorrow, that should give you answers and I pray it's the answers you want. ❤️

eloiseislost · 18/11/2020 16:21

@DinkBoo I hope your GP appointment went OK! How are you feeling?

DinkBoo · 18/11/2020 16:21

Back from GP. Had an external and internal exam as well as another pregnancy test.

Test was clearly positive again even though it is very far from first thing and I had to squeeze out a sample cause I went before I left home, external exam was fine, but internal exam wasn't as encouraging, so she booked me in to the EPU tomorrow morning for a scan.

If nothing else, this has made dh very clear finally that he really does want kids afterall,(I am holding back the the fuck couldn't you decide this less than 11 years into our relationship when I'm really quote old!!!!! comments - but only just)

DinkBoo · 18/11/2020 16:10

@eloiseislost defintely darker!

eloiseislost · 18/11/2020 13:20

@Oilyoilyoilgob I'm feeling OK, yes! A bit stressed with the covid situation because I'm a key worker and I work in a hospital ward -a mental health ward at that. Obviously I can't tell people this early but also don't want to be exposed to a high risk environment either. 😣

Caved in and peed on an IC this morning after roughly 4 hours of sleep (is insomnia a symptom??) and I think it's getting darker. Top one was Saturday and bottom one today. Still very early days, 15DPO. 🤞🏼

@eloiseislost thank you for the tip! I haven’t had that tea in years but I will grab some. Hope you’re feeling ok 😊

@DinkBoo thank you, I feel better and have been pottering, cleaning and mediation. I wish stress was like exercise I’d be very svelte 😅
I hope you’re feeling ok and the bleeding stops soon, and great news you’ve finally got an appointment! I really hope it goes well and that you’re up and about soon xx

Good luck @Oilyoilyoilgob and @Lori23TTC !

Mumsnet wouldn't let me post yesterday for some reason, I promise I'm not just massively rude.

I hope you're feeling good today @Oilyoilyoilgob make sure you rest and look after yourself too, panic attacks take a lot of energy, in fact I think they count as several days worth of exercise Wink

@eloiseislost I haven't got on to the pregancy boards yet, here feels so much more like home.

I won't let Clue switch me to the pregancy version yet either Blush

Another instant strong positive this morning, but still bleeding. Thought it was lightening off over the last couple of days. GP appointment booked for this afternoon, and amazingly even at my local surgery! (anyone esle live in a town where all the Drs surgeries merged so you soend ages on hold at a central call centre, then can end up with an appointment from your local surgery which is a 10 minute walk, or getting on a(n infrequent) bus to a surrounding village?)

eloiseislost · 18/11/2020 09:12

@Oilyoilyoilgob @MrsKin90 @Lori23TTC Thank you lovely ladies! 💞
Sending lots of baby dust to you all! 🧚🏼‍♀️

In terms of herbal teas, my friend who's due any day now, said that her midwife recommended rooibos tea because it's naturally caffeine free and contains calcium, magnesium and antioxidants. I have been using it for years to make chai lattes at home, worth a shot if you miss a strong tea and don't like herbal and fruity flavours. 🫖

Oilyoilyoilgob · 18/11/2020 08:06

Hi @Lori23TTC what a great update-I hope those swimmers last night are powering to that egg as we speak! I’m currently legs up after si this morning, I’ve been here about an hour now!

The rom com idea sounds lovely, I’ll stick to that but in reality I looked questionable 😅

You’re good on your water and caffeine free teabags. I’ll get them in my next shop to try, I hope they still can give a good builders tea.

Oh bless you on the food, try not to as we all need some niceness. If you have treats at the weekend I think that’s a good balance. We have one takeaway a week and pre lockdown went out for a Saturday or Sunday lunch. We need treats!

I havent read that about the raspberry leaf tea, I’ll have a read. When I got my positives in sept there was all manner of things about herbal teas, put the fear of god in me. I’m going to research more into it for if/when (🤞🏻) a bfp comes again and sticks.

This is my fertile week so we started early with syringing, just to try as much as poss and we’ll carry on throughout the week.

I am sending a massive good luck that your si works for you this month 😊🤞🏻🍀 Xx

@Oilyoilyoilgob I am good thank you I’m currently laying with my legs up after SI 🤣 living the dream. I love that you were out playing I spy with a random outfit - sounds like someone out of a rom com ❤️ It could have been a mix of everything, you have a lot going on and I find ttc just takes over my brain most of the time, it’s hard to escape it. I’m quite good as I drink lots of water but I do beat myself up if I have a bad weekend with food which realistically it’s hard to be good all the time! You need to enjoy your life too! I Love tea too but I only drink decaf now and I like green tea. I’ve been drinking read raspberry leaf tea from CD1 until I ovulate as that is suppose to help to?!
I hope you have a better week and have some time for you, you did 4 inseminations which is fantastic so try and relax in the tww 💙 xxx

Oilyoilyoilgob · 17/11/2020 21:53

Hello @Lori23TTC how are you? I hope you’re ok 😊
Ah he was very good, he refused to let me spiral so we played I spy at 9.30pm on deserted streets with me dressed ‘oddly’ to say the least!
Been looking after myself but we’d only had a very light brunch to save ourselves for takeaway, I wonder did the huge amount of food and the stress just kick it off? Along with dehydration.

I’m really having to give myself a good talking to that ttc means that I HAVE to be healthy including staying hydrated. I love cups of tea but I need to get more water in me!

I’m give a great picture of myself on here don’t I 😁😏 I promise in real life I look fairly normal and mask all this crap very well!

I hope you’re ok and having a good start to your week xx

@Oilyoilyoilgob I’m sorry to hear about your panic attack they are so scary 🙁 sounds like you have a lovely husband tho cheering you up 😊

@eloiseislost @DinkBoo yes please stay it’s lovely having you both on this chat! And nice to hear your updates! Xx

Oilyoilyoilgob · 17/11/2020 20:07

@MrsKin90 thank you 💚 I’ve had a really busy stressful five years, esp the last two. I think the last few weeks caught up but I honestly felt I was having a heart attack and started stripping off in front of telly 🙄 my husband was his awesome self and took me for a walk-I was in pjs, no socks, big winter jacket and brogues 😂😂 but the cool air and counting things did the trick and we played I spy. I had severe adrenal fatigue last year. I’m like an old knackered horse.

It is dominant romance and OMG I talk to the cup too (and my egg) I give everything a pep talk. Best looked after sperm in town.

I’d love some good news, yes please! The same for you too-sending positivity and a hug through the airwaves 💚 xx

@Oilyoilyoilgob sorry to hear about your panic attack. Feels like you've got so much going on bless you. I hope you have some good news/a bfp soon to balance life out a little!! It's a very romantic/dominant thing this SI business 😂 I give the swimmers a pep talk as well 🤷 bit of motivation never hurt anyone!

@eloiseislost bless you. I personally don't mind you hanging around 😊 it'll be lovely for you when you feel ready to graduate though! 🎓🤰

Oilyoilyoilgob · 17/11/2020 18:22

@eloiseislost you’re so lovely ☺️ I’m delighted and praying these two forum beans stay out in their nests! 🤞🏻🥰

Of course please stay, same for @DinkBoo too. Please don’t feel you need to leave, I feel like we are all on similar journeys and it’s SO good to read nice news and updates-don’t go! Xx

@Oilyoilyoilgob Nice to hear from you again! I'm sorry you had a panic attack, but it's completely understandable with what you're going through. I'm glad you're feeling better. 🤗 Well done on the 4x inseminations too!!

Thank you, I'm still in shock and I'm trying to take it one day at a time.
Definitely not ready to graduate to the pregnancy forums, I like it here and I hope it's OK if I stay a bit longer… ☺️

Oilyoilyoilgob · 17/11/2020 13:45

Jesus the romance of it all, not dominance! Although I guess I’m dominant over the syringe so there you go 😅

OP posts:
Oilyoilyoilgob · 17/11/2020 13:45

Hello everyone and thank you for the birthday wishes! I had a lovely relaxed day after having an EPIC panic attack on sat night-thought I was having a heart attack. I’d been fine fri and sat daytime so think it’s weeks of stress catching up with me, I still have one poorly cat and her sister is ok but has cancer and I’m getting fixated.
So Sunday was lovely, I didn’t drink and we’ve done x4 inseminations over the last week.

I had a birthday text off the friend who got pregnant last year on the pill and I felt really weird and jealous. Ttc is turning me mad 😳

So into better news @eloiseislost I’m absolutely delighted to see your posts! Genuinely delighted ☺️ I am so happy to come on here and see some good news.

@MrsKin90 my heart aches for you, all those dreams-I get this completely. All I can say is one by one I hope we all get our wishes 💖

Regarding sperm we keep the little devils warm for around ten mins then I inseminate. They go a nice consistency then. I have mixed and matched my techniques 😂 and sometimes leave the syringe in me for a couple of mins before plunging. Ah the dominance of it all 😅

@DinkBoo wowzers for that test! That line is so dark and super clear. I really hope it sticks!! X

@MrsKin90 @Lori23TTC thank you both for the advice! I think we need to shift some of his lazies! (Great term btw 😂) We actually did a 'practice' last night and will leave a day or two. I am on CD7 and really want to try 3 times this cycle if we can! Xx

DinkBoo · 17/11/2020 11:28

Thank you both Grin

I think the most promising thing is that the test was clearly darker, and the line very visible much more quickly, than the ones the week before.

@eloiseislost I definitely had the urge to pee far more frequently, make sure you keep hydrated. Flowers

eloiseislost · 17/11/2020 11:14

@DinkBoo Thank you lovely, same for you! I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw the photo of your test, looks very good! 😃

@MrsKin90 Part of the reason why I don't test if that I pee so often, I can barely hold it for half an hour! And even in the morning, my pee is almost clear. Apparently that can be an early pregnancy symptom, the kidneys go into overdrive due to the increased blood flow. 🤷🏻‍♀️
