@Birchybirch it makes me feel better that you've never done one 😊 I always bang on about how AF is life's negative pregnancy test. Although a missing one isn't always a positive one 🙄 I like the idea of a buy one get on free sale 😂 We want two, preferably one of each two years apart, but being that life doesn't work that way and this has been a massive *** (fill in as you see fit) I'd be chuffed with twins 😂

@Oilyoilyoilgob "sperminated" makes me equal parts laugh my ass of and feel a bit queasy 🤣
I'm so sorry your cat is struggling ☹️ we honestly love our cat so much, so I absolutely understand how much you must be feeling and worrying. Try not to worry before you need to - life is hard enough without preempting the shit it brings!! I hope you both have a lovely evening off of sperminating!

P.S. decaf teabags are awful 😝 but you do get used to them... You'd be better off with fruit tea in my opinion!!

Oilyoilyoilgob · 24/11/2020 18:25

I’m laughing at your comments 🙊 yes he’s tired and we’re not doing it tonight. Although it’s that much of a habit it’ll be a bit weird skipping it 😅 absolutely sperminated now so it’s in the hands of the universe.
Ah I’m so glad other people get pissed off, irrationally or not! Yes it’s awful but ppl who have loads of kids etc and I’d be more than happy with one. I realise I sound like veruca salt too!

Awww @MrsKin90 thinking of you whichever you choose. Look after yourself and be gentle on yourself 💚

Hi @Bizawit nice to hear a success story! Wishing you the very best of luck for baby number 2 😍

I bought some decaf tea bags to slowly wean myself from the tea addiction, hope they’re not weak and crap. Been worrying so much about lady 2 cat, slipped disc is not good and I’m dreading she might have to be put to sleep. I’d REALLY love to be on a warm island getting massages and drinking a cocktail now 😴🍹 xx

@Bizawit welcome! That's fantastic to hear SI has been successful 1st time around! I too always welcome any tips!

@Lori23TTC ooh I think EPO may be my next purchase then! I'll have more of a read up on it whilst I'm in my 2WW.

@MrsKin90 I've never done a pregnancy test. I came close in my 1st cycle, but I just figure AF will let me know either way.

We've always said we'd only really want one... Unless of course we end up with twins or whatever. I once heard that, as you get older, your body can have a "two for one sale", where it decides to throw out more than one egg in it's hope that it has more of a chance if getting one fertilised, so...that's something...! X

MrsKin90 · 24/11/2020 17:52

@primrosechill yes I was going to test tomorrow but actually I don't want to. If it's negative I'll actually be a bit devastated. I've gotten really carried away in my head today 😬I might give my period a week to turn up.

How many children do people actually want ideally? Or is that too heartbreaking a question??

primrosechill · 24/11/2020 17:37

Hi @Lori23TTC out of interest, why do you only take them until you ovulate?

Lori23TTC · 24/11/2020 17:15

Oh I also take EP tablets on CD1 through to when I ovulate and I have tons off EW now for days! X

Lori23TTC · 24/11/2020 17:14

Hey lovelies I’m just catching up with all the comments!!

Welcome to the newbies - so nice to hear success stories!

@MrsKin90 this sounds really positive I have my fingers crossed for you!

@Oilyoilyoilgob wow your husband is amazing! My hubby can do 6 days in a row but that’s pretty much his limit! And he says he feels sore after the 6 days!

I also get those jealousy feels when you hear people miss treating children ect it just seems like how does the universe get away with that?! And some people have like 6 kids lol I just want 1 and it’s not happening, some people are so lucky!

Xx

primrosechill · 24/11/2020 16:18

Hello @Bizawit - always super excited to hear success stories on here. Any tips and tricks that you can share with us as a veteran? Haha.

@Birchybirch that's interesting - I noticed this cycle that I've had less ewcd too and I also have just started taking the 7 seas. Also, if anything, they actually made me ovulate earlier. I haven't made the connection here before but maaaaaybe there is something here??

@MrsKin90 really hope you've broken the curse and that the tests won't jinx it this time ha - are you testing tomorrow? x

MrsKin90 · 24/11/2020 14:12

People seem to rate evening primrose oil as well for increasing EWCM 😊 sorry you don't have a clear answer to your OPK situation @Birchybirch hopefully someone more familiar with them can help!

@Bizawit welcome!! How exciting to have you with us 😊

Bizawit · 24/11/2020 13:50

Hi all, can I join? I’m onto cycle #4 of trying to conceive baby #2. Baby #1 (17 months) was a self insemination success story and hoping for more luck this time around 🤞🏻

Birchybirch · 24/11/2020 13:48

@MrsKin90 ah yeah I read somewhere else grapefruit juice. I've added the query/concern to my little notepad I have on my phone, just incase we need to seek medical advice in the new year.

Annoyingly, although my CB test has a solid smiley, the cheapies are showing nothing again. I keep recording the results, and we keep DTD, so we'll just have to see I guess x

MrsKin90 · 24/11/2020 13:39

Hi @Birchybirch I take those! Hmm I can't say I have noticed a CM difference but I've been taking them for over a year so who can remember 😆 I do know they help my LP be longer as the few months I went without it was only 11/12 and when I take it is 14+.
I know some women find they ovulate later than usual on them though. Different brands seem to work for different people.
I have a glass of grapefruit juice everyday and since I started doing that don't usually have an issue with EWCM. I know that's not much help sorry 😆

Birchybirch · 24/11/2020 13:32

Hi all, hope you're all OK!

Sorry to change the subject slightly, but does anyone take 7 seas ttc vitamins? If so, have they affected you in any way?

I used to get ewcm every month, but realise I haven't for a few months now...around the same amount of time I've been taking these vitamins... It might just be coincidence... My CB opk came back with a solid smiley today, so looks like my hormones for ovulation are all there. Just wondering if the vitamins are "drying me out" for want of a better phrase.

Has anyone else experienced this? I've found one forum with about two or three women on it who have experienced similar, but not sure if it's just a coincidence x

MrsKin90 · 24/11/2020 13:25

I went and bought a test 😬 even though it isn't early I got an early response one. I got clearblue which I know isn't as good as FRER but having taken FRER a couple of times I feel destined to get my BFP on a different brand 😂
So I'll fully expect my period in the morning 🤦

MrsKin90 · 24/11/2020 11:52

@primrosechill I'm more of a 🐔 than a Saint I assure you! Other than my last cycle where my period went missing, I always always get AF as soon as I decide to test or buy a test. It feels very superstitious but that's part of the reason I can't test early... Or at all! 😬 I feel like every time I think about buying a test I start cramping.

@Oilyoilyoilgob hahaha thank you 😊 they're good eggs these men. Bless them. I get really mad too thinking about all these people lucky enough to have children who clearly don't deserve to have the privilege!

Oilyoilyoilgob · 24/11/2020 09:59

@MrsKin90 awww you are so cute, it made me teary thinking of you teary which is weird because I don’t know what you look like, but I’ve made up faces for you all 🤭😅 I’m keeping everything crossed that it’s your month.
They are good our men aren’t they? It makes me sad I didn’t stay pregnant and I feel bad for my husband. I mean last night his look of ‘oh shit ANOTHER pot to do’ I felt bad for him but tbf there was a good amount last night from him 😂

@primrosechill I totally get it. The jealousy, the anger, the sadness. Then I hate myself for it because it’s not generally who I am as a person.
I read a couple of awful stories in the paper about child abuse and thought why the fuck do these people have kids, same when I hear someone shouting at their kids. Not just normal telling off, but where you can tell there’s an actual unpleasantness behind it. Horrible fuckers. Then I get thoughts of these people have kids and here we are struggling, which I know does me absolutely no good.
Part of me does quite thrive on getting the rage every once in a while though, it’s hard to keep happy thoughts 100% of the time 😂 xx

“He’s come so far” 🤣🤣🤣 @Oilyoilyoilgob I’m DEAD.

Thank you both for being so lovely. Oily, the math/probability game is just so off on this isn’t it - I get jealous of people all the time. I keep telling myself I won’t let it affect me and then another pregnancy announcement drops and I want to punch something.

@MrsKin90 totally hear you about the Hollywood stop-in-the-street eyes-wide-open frantically-count-on-your-fingers-the-days-since-your-last-period moment that we will probably never have. I just keep telling myself that once I have a sticky bean, I will no longer care how I got there but for now I do mourn the loss of spontaneity in it all.

14DPO! I said it before and I’ll say it again - you’re a SAINT for not testing yet. I so hope that AF stays the fuck away! xxx

MrsKin90 · 24/11/2020 09:20

Oh bless him @Oilyoilyoilgob, it's really lovely that he's so invested 😊 it's made me go all teary eyed thinking about these men and what they're willing to put themselves through (and us too of course as it's not bloody easy!). When I think about how much my hubby wants a baby I always have a blubbery cry 😂 he's stopped mentioning it now.

Oilyoilyoilgob · 24/11/2020 08:26

@MrsKin90 I know I know! But he wanted to do last night, he said he’s come this far (no pun intended 😜) and he’s not giving up now!

Awww bless you, a big squeeze sent your way too. I love hearing about your daydreams though, I can tell you want this so much and that is absolutely beautiful ☺️

Big hugs xx

MrsKin90 · 24/11/2020 07:49

@Oilyoilyoilgob your poor husband 😂you've definitely covered all bases! Now just a waiting game for you 🤞🤞

@primrosechill I was weirdly having exactly the same thoughts yesterday and feeling very angry about it. I don't want to be obsessed and know when my period is due, I'd love to just wake up one day like 'oh.. when WAS my last period?' and take a test and have that be that! Like @Oilyoilyoilgob I absolutely get that ache. It's heartbreaking.
I kept day dreaming about getting a poppyseed out of the cupboard and showing it to my hubby and saying "this is how big our baby is right now" and I started to cry whilst doing the washing up 😳.

14dpo today. 😬 My RHR has gone up one and my BBT is still high 🙏🤞🙏🤞🙏🤞. Usually resting heart rate starts coming down at 12dpo, and my BBT comes down on 14dpo. Tbf I haven't taken it since 7dpo 😂 so no idea where it would have been yesterday compared to today but last time I took it, it was 36.55 and today 36.67. I woke up with cramps though so aware it could go either way. Annoyingly excited though! 😆

Oilyoilyoilgob · 24/11/2020 07:25

Awww @primrosechill I want to give you a big hug, sending you a big squeeze and I feel for you 😓

I totally get you, I really do. I ache to have a child and teach them things like my mum and dad did. About love and family, animals and the stars. Pass it on. Really love them so much that they’ll know forever they are so, so loved.

Had a wobble last night SI getting riled up some people have sex once and get pregnant. I know it’s a totally unfair thought but pissed off last night and got irrationally annoyed at my friend who got pg last year while being on antibiotics and saying she never wanted kids. All my own issues but they reared their head while I had the syringe in me ☹️

Lots of love to you xx

I'm torturing myself tonight watching a lot of these "telling my husband I'm pregnant" vlogs. Does anyone else get sad sometimes/often, thinking "I wish I could just ACCIDENTALLY get pregnant and have the whole spontaneous thing without going through all this TTC bollocks?" (totally a rhetorical question btw - I know a lot of us do).

Anyway... feeling weirdly emotional out of nowhere after doing quite well the past few weeks. Just really really want to be a mum, hah... it's such an overpowering feeling sometimes when you realise it's in your bones and that you have so much of you to give to this unborn creature. Hoping it happens soon. Sending lots of love to you all.

Oilyoilyoilgob · 23/11/2020 22:58

Sorry @MrsKin90 I missed your update! Fantastic news on no spotting, that’s great and good to hear the hormones seem on an even path ☺️

@primrosechill I don’t know if they are blue or just none existent 😂 but he did it, his testicles need a rest now 😅
I hope you get sorted on your ovulation date but hopefully doing another SI or two will make you relaxed that either date is covered 😊

I’m cd24 and I’m usually starting period on cd34 so let’s see xx

OP posts:
Oilyoilyoilgob · 23/11/2020 22:41

@MrsKin90 yes 😮😳😭 partly because I had my period start date as Sat 31/10 and husband thought I started Thur 29/10.
Then my period tracker and premom have different ovulation days.
So we started early just in case and here we are, I’ll admit I just wanted to go to bed after dinner and an hour of tv tonight, but just in case that second peak is correct we’d have covered for it!

Your last emoji is how my husband feels 😴😴😂

Had a mix of some with orgasm some without, some 20/25 mins and other times laying down longer so fingers crossed.

How are you feeling? Hope you’re ok xx

@MrsKin90 femometer app doesn't seem to let you disagree with it 😂 bloody AI! (Intelligence, not Insemination lol) But your comment about you disagreeing with it a lot really tickled me. Keeping fingers, toes, legs and hair crossed for you that your body is behaving differently this cycle for a reason!! Not long till Weds now.

@Oilyoilyoilgob yes the temp has gone up now and technically it's meant to dip right before ovulation and raise straight after but as you can see mine loves zigzagging a bit 😂 we are about to do one more SI tonight though I'm fairly sure I am way past O now - the question is whether it happened on Sat or even before that! And seriously - you did 13 consecutive days?! Your parter's balls must be blue by now, no? 😂😂😂 That is dedication!!
