8 days late, BFN, no sign of AF

Hi, I’m a bit late commenting on this but I thought I’d share my experience I was 14 days late before my last period, I did a test at 5 and 10 days late which were negative and I eventually came on but a lot lighter than I usually am. I had a telephone appointment with a nurse and she basically told me it was nothing to worry about. Fast forward a month and my current period was 17 days late but I was reluctant to do a test due to the previous month and just having a late period I assumed it was a hormone issue. I was getting breast pain and feeling constantly hungry so I decided to take a test after work last week and turns out I’m pregnant! I’m not sure why the period before was late but here we are i had an appointment with doctor and he thinks I’m approximately 9 weeks x

Just wanted to update, my period finally arrived today. I think it was my cycles still trying to regulate after my MC in March. I have crohn's disease, and my docs told me that could have been responsible for the false faint positives.

Honestly I'm a bit relieved I'm not pregnant as I started my Masters degree in September and dont really want to give birth at least until I've finished. If I was pg this time, my EDD would have been June which would be far to close to my final deadlines! Going to let my cycles get back to normal, both of us are going to get our mental health sorted and get back to trying in the new year so my EDD is defo after I graduate 🙂

@KatyKey - Oh sorry to hear that, do you know if you have had a cycle without ovulation before? Did AF ever arrive?

I think with tests the digital ones are the way to go or I will drive myself mad about whether there is a line or not! lol.

Got my blood tests back, and they're negative. They said it could be a chemical or it could be an anovulatory cycle

Oh guys I'm in the same boat. Now 3 days late on a reliable 26 day cycle. BFN yesterday and today with FMU. I've had intermittent cramping and haven't felt all round great. By last DC was 15 years ago and I'm trying to remember what I felt like back then.

I just want some certainty!!

@KatyKey would you let me know how your bloods go? I’ve had a very faint line like yours on the little pink dye test but then nothing on a FRER and I’m now two days late! Xx

I called my GP this morning and managed to get booked in for beta HCG blood tests tomorrow. He was concerned it might be another MMC, so he wanted to get my betas checked asap

Following writing in here, on Friday I had the most horrific cramps, I felt so sick and had to lay down in a ball for a few hours, then suddenly the pain subsided all together and then I bled heavily on Saturday, since then, have been feeling much better!

I have been reading a few things, basically I think I had an incredibly light / late period. A lot of the early pregnancy symptoms are the same as period symptoms! So it is very confusing. I do find it very odd that I still have nausea and tinnitus; things I have never really experienced before. But maybe we are just far more in tune with our bodies during this process and notice slight changes / symptoms more than we normally would... Oh well, we can all try again next month eh...

@KatyKey hmm, maybe wait another few days and see how you feel. I have never been pregnant before but a few days ago I could have sworn I was and 2 tests have been negative. I think assume you aren't and then you'll only be pleasantly surprised if you are ?! Good luck xx

Decided to do another as I'd been testing at about 10-11am all week and first one was done at 6 today. Faintest glint of a line, but I'm not hopeful as I would've thought FRER would be more obvious by now 🤔

Saying that my nausea is back with a bang today! 🤔

I think mine may be a chemical 😔 all my symptoms stopped yesterday and now this morning BFNs. Absolutely nothing on a FRER...

Oh gosh 2 weeks late... Why do our bodies do this to us!! Just took another test, negative. Am now five days late, spotting has stopped. It's just bizarre! I feel nauseous (unless I'm eating!), ears are ringing constantly, so sleepy and going to the loo alot more than usual. Something just feels different. Ho hum!

Hi Ladies... I have just found this thread and so reassuring to see I am not alone! Blimey I never thought I would be driven so mad by TTC! @KatyKey I definitely see a faint line there!

I am now 4 days late... am on day 2 of some spotting. I have a short cycle, so the spotting started 13 DPO. I assumed it was a slightly late AF but there's barely anything there and pantyliners are clean. I have never missed AF before and this is not a usual AF for me as I am quite heavy day 3/4.

I took a cheap amazon test this morning, BFN. I feel quite sick, am really tired, and have a headache / ringing ears for a few days (very odd!). From what I can tell, if it is implantation spotting then a test would not be positive for another 5 days or so, so I guess i just have to wait.

Just doesn't seem normal that even though AF is now 4 days late the test is still negative?

I am keeping everything crossed for you all. I am so grateful I haven't been furloughed or I think I would be losing my mind !! Just wish I could know either way.

Tested with a pink dye ic this morning and still very faint 🤔

I'm also 6 days late and tested with a blue dye this morning, could have sworn I seen a faint line but I've had awful indents with blue dyes in the past! The wait is awful isn't it!

Decided to go for a digital just to see and got the book error 🤦‍♀️ looks like I will just have to test in 2 days when more tests arrive 😂

I'm now 6 days late, I threw up yesterday and I'm so nauseous today. Did a CB test this morning and a Femometer one yesterday both came back with the faintest squinter lines. Not really sure what to think! This is the CB one but I had to tweak it a bit to get it to show on photos. The line is blue but its pencil thin!!

@Praying4aRainbow I also had on off mild cramping!!! I still do now 🥰 I kept thinking my period was coming but it was pregnancy cramping. I normally only cramp on my first day so it was strange that it wasn't arriving ❤️ fingers crossed for you ❤️

I'd like to join please, currently 3 days late, no symptoms really, feel a little more tired than usual today but that's it. Had some very light cramping on and off for the last 2 days, tested today and bfn, that comment gives me a little bit hope @kirsty0028 congratulations on your bfp 😊

I just found out I was pregnant on Friday and I was 6 days late and got the faintest line ever followed by a positive cb digital. I had tested 2 days before and gotten a bfn like completely blank! Don't lose hope!
