I stupidly started testing WAYYY too early, at 6dpo, I’m now 8dpo, getting all negatives but having what I feel like are pregnancy symptoms. It’s my first month TTC so I don’t really know what I’m doing. When did everyone get their BFP’s? Please join the thread if you want to chat about the 2 week wait and symptoms

Morning ladies!

I have a couple of pics of a test this morning (but I don't know where everyone is at and don't want to be insensitive!) if it's ok to post I shall do to gather opinions! Xx

JenC95 · 30/10/2020 16:48

Hi loves!

Just jumping on here to keep a little bit sane! I’m 11dpo and AF due Monday/Tuesday. I’ve held of from testing so far but think I might give it a go tomorrow morning with an FRER.
Hope all you girls are okay, loved reading this thread seeing how supportive everyone is, brightens my day! Much baby dust to all of you Smile

Char1803 · 30/10/2020 14:34

@ABD16 you may have just ovulate earlier than you think or implanted fairly early after conception. If you have a strong line I wouldn't worry but I kept testing every day just to make sure I continued getting BFP.

I also found on some tests I still got negatives at 12 & 13dpo!

ABD16 · 30/10/2020 13:31

Thank you @Char1803 for your reply, in a similar boat to me, I'll keep testing and maybe go out and buy the Clear blue test to use closer to AF!

Char1803 · 30/10/2020 13:19

@ABD16 I had v faint bfp 12 dpo, all my tests have been faint since but I also got a BFP on clear blue digital 14dpo. I'm now 16dpo and AF due tomorrow and I'm just praying it doesn't come.

It is a risk for anyone who tests early but I am of the understanding that if you are suffering from a CP you will start showing BFN after having got BFP.

Congrats and fingers crossed for you 🤞🥰

ABD16 · 30/10/2020 12:53

Sorry to jump into this but I've just had my first postive pregnancy test at 11 DPO...using the one step test, which tests for HCG levels greater than 10u/ml. It was a good positive and not a faint line, however my question is AF isn't due until another 5 days, could I still have a chemical pregnancy at this point? It it worth using a different brand of test? Just to point out this is my 1st pregnancy. Appreciate any help for this newbie! Thank you!!

Lornski80 · 30/10/2020 12:27

@Wils85 Thank you. After speaking to the doctor yesterday I feel so confused. I don't understand why she wouldn't have told me to wait out and see how this cycle pans out as it's possible we have been successful seeing as I haven't come on my period yet. I was just told to keep trying after my period :( I'm hoping that doesn't come but did have a negative test this morning xx

Wils85 · 30/10/2020 11:57

Hi @Lornski80 👋🏻 welcome! Sooooo very many questions when it comes to TTC!

I'm no medical expert, but your cycle ends when AF arrives, so if you haven't had your period, I would suggest you're still in the same cycle as when you ovulated. If I'm wrong I'm sure one of the other lovely ladies on this thread will help xxx

Lornski80 · 30/10/2020 11:33

Hi All, I am new to this so not sure how this all works but would like to ask a question please. If a 21 day progesterone blood test shows I have ovulated and I haven't yet got my period am I still in the cycle that has ovulated?? The doctor said I have ovulated but it doesn't mean I will on my next cycle but surely I am still on the cycle I have been tested for?! Please help...

3scompany · 30/10/2020 10:16

@Wils85 thanks lovely.

It's hard isn't it. I like to think of myself as patient in all other aspects but with ttc I'm just insane.

I've been trying not to symptom spot too-but my boobs are so so sore it's hard to ignore it! But then that can be also typical of my af symptoms.

I have IC too (of which I thought I saw a whisper of a line today but disregarded it due to the frer-same FMU) so I'll probably test each day because I'm a little insane.

We had a loss last year too at 8 weeks. And I don't think that's helping my obsessiveness.

Good luck to you and let us know if you test!! Xxx

Wils85 · 30/10/2020 10:08

@cloudydays7 if you're not sure, buy some cheapy OPK test strips and follow the Sperm meets egg plan (search it on Google). You DTD every other day from day 8 and start testing for ovulation from day 10, once you get a +ive OPK you DTD every day for three days and a day off and once more for luck 🍀

We followed the SMEP with our second pregnancy and caught on the second cycle of using it. Fingers crossed it works for us again this time 🤞🏻 I might final be able to experience having a bump and then a baby at the end 😔❤️

AnnaMichalak · 30/10/2020 10:07

@Wils85 you too love!!! ❤️

Wils85 · 30/10/2020 10:03

@AnnaMichalak look after yourself Hun ❤️ xxx

Wils85 · 30/10/2020 09:56

Hi @3scompany I'm due AF on Wednesday too, so we are on the same timeline. Sorry about your BFN 😥 you're not out until you're out though 🤞🏻

I can't bring myself to test yet. I'm trying to be more relaxed this month, not sure I'm managing all that well, though I haven't made a big deal of symptoms to DH or mentioned them to my BFF, perhaps self preservation in case I'm wrong. Haven't had any and out symptoms yet. Seems my PMS symptoms like to make me think I am PG, last month I had nausea tiredness, the works and AF turned up right on cue!

I can't take the disappointment that's tinged with hope when testing early and getting a BFN. DH was going to be away on Tuesday night but he isn't anymore so if I can I might wait until Wednesday morning to test, but watch this space.

I didn't test too early with the last two, always maybe two days or a day before AF was due. So I could test Monday or Sunday I guess... Urgh! At this rate I'll be testing tomorrow 😂 xxx

3scompany · 30/10/2020 09:42

Is anyone starting to test this weekend? I'm due AF on weds (I'm 9dpo) and feeling very negative! I had a bfn on a FRER this morning. And all previous pgs have been detectable from 9dpo. So I think that's adding to the pessimism!

Hope everyone is ok? And we get some lovely BFPs in the group! Xx

AnnaMichalak · 29/10/2020 17:25

@Wils85 thank you hun!!!! Yeah it’s early but still painful! Hopefully we can try again soon ❤️

Wils85 · 29/10/2020 17:23

@AnnaMichalak I am so sorry to hear that lovely, no matter how early it's still tough. Sending you so much love xxx

AnnaMichalak · 29/10/2020 16:41

Hello Ladies!
So bad news for me😭 my Saturday pain and spotting was a early miscarriage or rather implantation failure. Hopefully my body will get back to normal soon. I fell ok. I knew there’s something wrong so prepared myself for bad news.

cloudydays7 · 29/10/2020 14:31

Me again...trying to get my head around my cycle. So my cycle appears to be a 33 day cycle so on the FF and Clue app it is saying my ovulation day is around day 19/20. Does this sound correct?
Hoping to try our first cycle next month 🤞🏻

Char1803 · 29/10/2020 13:07

@AnaTTC2020 don't stress!

I took my first FRER on 9dpo and got a BFN. I didn't test again until 12dpo and got a vvv faint BFP with FRER, tested again the next morning and was even fainter.

So 14dpo (yesterday) tested like a mad woman using different tests and got a bfp on clear blue digital. AF is due in 2 days so keeping my fingers crossed!!

I would say I have found the clear blue (and any other blue dye) to be less obvious lines than other tests!

Dsr87 · 29/10/2020 12:06

@Wils85
Before, my previous 2 were how did that happen......like duh lmao
Now we are trying its a different kettle of fish. my partner will make an amazing dad as he is an amazing step dad to my two.
Thank you, I will look into reading this. I think I need to switch off from myself and get something to take my mind off it a little.
Atm I'm sorting an organising the house. I'm literally re organising to freezers and menu planning to save some £ and dwinddle it down ready to stock up for the Xmas period.
I'm literally gonna go through the fridge and freeze what I can before it goes out of date. its amazing what gets chucked away and I refuse to do it anymore.

Thank you for the well wishes and support xx

Wils85 · 29/10/2020 10:45

@Dsr87 it's a massive learning curve, I'm still learning and I'm 18 months in! Try and stay positive, it gets hard on this journey, but its all we can do.

The best discovery I had at the very beginning was a book called Period by Maisie Hill. It really helped me understand my cycle and what my body does and when. Its worth a read for sure! Xx

Dsr87 · 29/10/2020 09:26

Thank you ladies. Hopefully now I've got a bit more knowledge since I logged everything and my tempatures etc so I can see a pattern moving forward. Thank you, looking forward to cycle 2 xx

Wils85 · 29/10/2020 08:44

Ahhh @Dsr87 sorry to hear that my love. I have everything crossed for you next cycle!

AnnaMichalak · 29/10/2020 08:13

@Dsr87 oh honey! I’m so sorry!!! ❤️
