OPK peak??

@jessi60 oh 5 days is good, mine are normally 5 days and if I count from when it was a proper period and not spotting, that's today but I think I will stop tomorrow! Now onto the OPK, is do from CD10 twice a day (always better in the afternoon) and when they begin to get darker I'd do 3 times a day until you reach your peak!xx

@Char899 AF should depart by tomorrow hopefully! I didn't, my partner said I get so stressed with OPK, why add something else into the mix so didn't order it (yet!) - So, I'm not even doing OPK's this month, I'm just going to make sure we DTD every other day and just try to relax about it until maybe end of January and I'll get thermometer from then and back to the OPK if my cycle isn't normal - I can tell when I ovulate based on the pain in my boobs so I'll know when it's happened & normally CD21 anyway! How are you finding the TWW? It's good you've got our son already so you know what to look out for etc, although I know each pregnancy can be different! FX you get your BFP 🤩

@Rachel93x all good thank you! 5dpo today, so far no symptoms other than being tired but I think I’ll put that down to ds! How are you? Af been and gone now? All ready for this cycle? Did you get a thermometer in the end?

@jessi60 I’d say start doing 1 a day now. How long are your cycles? If it’s 28 days I’d say start doing 2 a day from cd 10ish so you don’t miss anything :) I was doing 3 a day at one point lol

My period lasted 5 days in the end and finished yesterday, think I had 5 day periods pre hormonal contraception of what I can remember. So cycle day 6 today! Been kept busy with work. On a run of night shifts at the minute. Just wondering when to start ovulation testing. Hope your doing ok?

@Bouncytree oh I'm sorry to hear AF has arrived, but positive thinking and onto the next cycle 🤩

I'll start once AF has gone away, probably by about Wednesday, although after the loss last month my period was very light and I feel like I'm being punished this month but I've it to be thankful I'm not getting the cramping!

This is exactly what happens to me, especially this month. I have a mini peak cd 9 then it goes away and shoots up day 14/15 :) best of luck i know its a frustrating waiting game!

@Bouncytree that does definitely sound promising! Certainly got some symptoms there! Keep us updated on your next test! Could you have ovulated a little later perhaps and it’s just not strong enough to show yet? I’m guessing not as you were using opks but you never know!

@jessi60 I was the same aswell, suddenly suffering with period pains I’ve nit had in years. Hopefully it’s just your body getting back into the swing of things and hopefully they’ll start to calm down! Chocolate tea and hot water bottles for you! Definitely don’t envy you on the night shifts :(

@Rachel93x good news about af getting you back on track! yes I’m in the tww for real this time! (Confirmed by a temp rise - finally) 2dpo today. It’s going to be a long wait given I thought I’d started it a week ago!! 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

AF is in fullll swing now, which is good to know my cycle has returned back to normal after last month!

@Bouncytree omg that's certainly a good sign about the metallic taste, hoping you go onto having a BFP and the dreadful AF doesn't show her ugly face! I've read recently people not getting positives till like a week late!? Everything crossed that's the case for you also!

@jessi60 oh no, period pains are the worst! I normally realllllyyyy suffer with them to the point they can make me sick, but this month I haven't had any pains which is kind of really nice! Hopefully it's just this month after 10 years of not having regular! Hope it becomes easier for you! Xx

@Bouncytree yeah it’s a relief just hoping it doesn’t go on too long and I stay on a 28 day cycle 🤞🏼 Think I’ve took it for granted not having periods. Literally have barely had them for 10 years and I’m suffering with back pain. Literally laid here with a hot water bottle 😂 works killing me and I’m back tomorrow morning and then into four night shifts🥺

@Char899 it may be! My cycle was a bit off when I first came off, I wasn't TTC but I remember panicking it was 10 days late 😂

@Rachel93x thank you, seems to be wearing off now. Sure I’ve never had that before. I’m wondering now if maybe I didn’t ovulate the last two cycles since coming off the pill, I feel different this month for some reason!

@Char899 I'm pretty sure I had a pain in my right side this month! I do also get awful trapped wind 🤫

Nhs say this 'Ovulation pain is often normal and just another side effect linked with periods' so nothing to worry about x

@jessi60 do one a day after the end of your period, until day 12 maybe start doing 2 as likely to ovulate about day 14 if you have 28 day cycles xx

@jessi60 I had no idea when I ovulate (still don’t) so I started on cd5 once af had buggered off!

@Rachel93x yeah if you get one ASAP you can use it for this cycle because your supposed to start right at the beginning!

When’s best to start ovulation tests again? Once af stops? See I was doing them daily up to now with not knowing what is going on but take it I don’t have to whilst this is ongoing x

Arghh I have really achy ovaries. Feel like utter rubbish this afternoon. Hope ds stays asleep for a little longer think I need a cuppa and some chocolate before I have to find the energy to DTD later 😂
