2DPO - Anyone with me....!

Girls, I’m shaking. I’ve just had my full on period for 6 days. Yet somehow I’ve just got positive pregnancy tests??? What is going on (I only held this wee for an hour)

Not much to report here except I'm going for a private scan on Sunday (I'll be 8+5ish). My NHS scan isn't until 4th Jan. Decided I couldn't wait that long haha!

@Aila1994 I don't know, I've never had a positive that early. Mine normally has a faint line and works its way up. Maybe test again later as I have had a few dodgy ones (if they are the cheap strips)

I've not tested yet, no. Although FF thinks I'm 14 dpo, it isn't sure, so could be 13 dpo. Anyway, I don't want to test without DH so that means Friday night or Sat, not sure which yet. Also don't want to use the test too early because then another one wouldn't arrive until next week, and I would def be potty by then!!

@Aila1994 Oh? That's strange. Maybe take a pregnancy test?? LH tests do pick up hCG and it's strange for it to be that dark after AF.

@HerringGull 14DPO today! Have you tested????

@Pudding01 I’d probably wait? I’ve only been temping a few days but if i only used a one decimal thermometer it wouldn’t really have changed. How long till your new one arrives? You could always use it just so there is something on your chart as a vague baseline??

Thanks for the support girls, just got two more tests (clear blue early detection like the first one I did) will test again with one in The morning to compare, if AF doesn’t get me first!

Hi ladies, does anyone know what your LH should be just after AF? I finished up with AF yesterday so decided to start taking ovulation tests today so I could see a pattern forming. But it’s come up with a blaring positive? Does this mean I'm ovulating really early, or do LH levels just rise during/immediately after AF?

@Pudding01 hmm don't know really. I guess in your shoes I'd probably use it anyway until the new one comes. It will give you a guide at least, although I think it will make your chart a bit jerky it's better than nothing?

@EllyNC291 I set my alarm for 7 every day, and on weekends I just do it and then go back to sleep! Occasionally I do have a bit of a sleepless night, but I think you only need three consecutive hours at some point in the night to get it reasonably accurate by morning. So mostly it's okay. You can tell if you have a dodgy night and your temp is higher one day, but since it's the overall pattern that matters I think it's okay. You can always discard a temp if it seems totally wild?

@HerringGull I'm ok thanks, have been to the doctor and had a blood hcg taken. Just waiting for the result. Hopefully will hear back today or early tomorrow morning and I'll know I bit more then maybe. I just don't really feel very hopeful. My gut is telling me it's just not right x

Is it worth using my thermometer where there's only 1 digit after decimal until I get a new one, or is it pointless?

Girls I’ve also been trying to temp the last 4-5 days and I’m so bad at it! I sleep so badly, always wake up at least once in the night! So I’m fairly sure it’s never accurate and always at a different time!!!

@herringgull orally - I try first thing but i'm only a few days in. I got a Femometer but not the digital one. I also use Glow the app. So I now have two app's monitoring temp and LH Strips and both are giving me different predictions dates ha! Ferometer says ovulation today and Glow says in three days.. That's quite a big difference from a DTD point of view. I'll still be covered but next month I'll almost cover two weeks regardless!

@Cc7750 do you temp orally or somewhere else? I was considering trying vaginally next cycle since this cycle my temps are quite crazy. Not sure if the change is worth the extra faff though. I already nod off again with the thermometer in my mouth and wake up when it falls out and then have to start again... if it was in my vag I would definitely fall asleep! hahaha

@Pudding01 nightmare with thermometer! I have two one with decimal and one without, they both give totally different results (massively). Justified one is one of those cheap gun things!

So I got a faint positive yesterday 🥴 AF due today and I got another faint this morning, wasn’t any darker so I’m not getting too excited, just waiting to see if AF arrives!!!!

@HerringGull thanks for checking in 🙂 I bought a thermometer from amazing and it was one with only 1 number after the decimal. So bought the right one and it didn't work! Not having much luck haha

I failed to get the Christmas tree yesterday as DH got stuck at work and it was 5pm before he got home. Too tricky to be stamping around in the forest in the dark, so we're going today instead hopefully. AF due today or tomorrow so am on tenterhooks :)

Don't worry it's not the case i'll wait to do the deed on just that day but was getting confused to whether it helps predicts when it is coming, which you've confirmed my thinking! It's almost a security blanket to confirm that Ovulation has taken place to get a correct DPO! Thanks ladies

@Cc7750 yup that's correct. Temping is more of a hindsight thing but it helps you understand when and if you do ovulate. Basically, OPKs let's you know when you're ovulating, BBT confirms if you did.

Yep definitely. Temping just confirms that you ovulated yesterday, so too late to DTD then. You could use it to predict ovulation in future cycles, but only if you're regular. I guess you'll need OPKs if you want to predict O in advance. I don't use these though so don't know much about them x
