Hi everyone 🙂

Sorry about the BFNs @EllyNC291 and @HerringGull, such a shame.

@HerringGull building a house sounds so exciting! Has the ruin got some land with it to? Does it have a nice view? I quite fancy building a house/restoring a property.

Lazy day for me - went for a walk this morning then slept on the sofa for 2hrs and had a dream I got a toilet seat stuck round my chest haha

HerringGull · 01/11/2020 15:42

Do you think you'll go see the house you've seen on rightmove? Can you do that now England's in lockdown again?

HerringGull · 01/11/2020 15:41

@EllyNC thank you. Sure I'll sleep like a baby!
@unCliche we are sort of building the house bit by bit. Housing is so expensive here that even though that even with average-good salaries (for here) we had to buy a ruin and basically build it from scratch. We kept the stone walls but the rest we are building ourselves. Learning many new skills! Haha. Love a bit of trial and error... 😁

EllyNC · 01/11/2020 15:15

@unCliche yup defo wishful thinking haha- I have really unreliable cycles so not sure but due around Tuesday/Wednesday. We’ll see I guess.
Scouting Rightmove is my favourite pastime haha!! It’s addictive!!
Defo a good weekend to spend in bed!
Hope you and @HerringGull sleep better tonight- Insomnia is the worst!!

unCliche · 01/11/2020 13:33

Oops forgot to tag @HerringGull

unCliche · 01/11/2020 13:32

Thanks lovely, I'm the same way, when I have so many ideas floating around in my head, I really struggle to switch off. We recently offered on a house but have now withdrawn our offer and we're looking for somewhere a little cheaper so we can put down a 15% deposit. I've seen a place I really like on Rightmove and I can't stop thinking about all the things I'd do to it. And I just kept going back and looking at the floor plan throughout the night and I just couldn't stop thinking about it and I'm back at it again this afternoon, hehe. What sort of building work are you doing?

Yeah the weather is miserable down here too although not as wet as yesterday. Might get some food shopping in before lockdown happens and everything is gone again.

HerringGull · 01/11/2020 13:19

@unCliche weird, so was I! I feel asleep at 4am too, so frustrating when you're tired and can't sleep. Got lots of stuff going round in my head (we're building at the moment) and I keep thinking of good ideas/problems in the middle of the night! If you have to spend a weekend in bed though, this is the one to do it on - so soggy and windy. Hope you sleep better tonight x

unCliche · 01/11/2020 12:33

I'm on my period and I'm still getting low down twinges @EllyNC wishful thinking eh? But if AF hasn't shown up, you're still properly in for a chance! And you know your own body. When are you due on?
I'm spending this weekend in my bed. Had a terrible night's sleep. Was still awake at 4am! My brain just wouldn't settle down. I've started taking loads of new vitamins so maybe they've just given me lots of energy that I don't need or want at 4 in the morning!

EllyNC · 01/11/2020 12:27

Aww @unCliche thank you! I’ll keep an eye on here and hope to see lots of bfp while I’m waiting!!! I still keep getting low down twinges that I’m sure I don’t normally get. Probably imagining them 🤣
How’s everyone spending the last sun pre lockdown?

unCliche · 01/11/2020 12:10

Also @EllyNC we'll still be here for you if you ever feel like joining us again! Good luck with everything!!

unCliche · 01/11/2020 12:03

Morning ladies, hope you're all doing well today. Sorry there hasn't been a BFP, that absolutely sucks! I'm still holding out hope that AF doesn't show up for you @HerringGull and @EllyNC. Sending lots of virtual hugs ❤️

@AKC88 your temps look really promising!! When will you test?

HerringGull · 01/11/2020 11:59

sorry to hear that @EllyNC 🙁 i guess you're in the same boat then, just waiting to see if AF shows. What a shame you have to take a break from TTC, but I guess life gets in the way sometimes xx

AlisonWhite · 01/11/2020 11:07

Thank you xx

EllyNC · 01/11/2020 10:39

@AKC88 fx for implantation for you!! Any cramps etc??

EllyNC · 01/11/2020 10:39

@AlisonWhite welcome!! Good luck :)

EllyNC · 01/11/2020 10:38

@HerringGull I’m sorry ☹️ BFN for me too this morning ... feeling really bummed tbh, hard to shake isn’t it. I think I’m 12-14dpo too And had a bfp about 11dpo With my son so fairly sure I’m out. we have to take a break from ttc for a bit so that sucks.

HerringGull · 01/11/2020 10:28

Hi @AlisonWhite - welcome!
There are loads and loads of acronyms, I don't know them all. It would probably be handy to start a new thread asking that question (unless anyone's done it before, have you Googled?) cos it's so confusing when you start eh! Good luck with your TTC journey 😊

HerringGull · 01/11/2020 10:25

BFN this morning girls, with CB digi. Hmm! Bit confused as cervix still high and soft and temps up. Am not positive when I O'd but reckon I'm 13dpo at absolute minimum. Will do another test in a couple of days if still no AF 😊
@AKC88 that does look good! Fingers crossed!
How's everyone's weekend going?

GreenApplesYo · 01/11/2020 10:22

Hi again @AlisonWhite. So we have:

DTD = have sex (do the deed)
OPK = ovulation predictor kit. The sticks you wee on
BBT = basal body temperature
DP = darling partner (or DC for child etc)
FRER = first response early result pregnancy test
AF = "auntie flo" = period

That's all I can think of for now 🙂

GreenApplesYo · 01/11/2020 10:18

Oooh @AKC88 that's looking good! Together with the spotting I'd say it's definitely a good sign? Hope those temps stay up 🙂

Good luck @HerringGull x

AKC88 · 01/11/2020 09:49

Morning girls!

Happy testing day @HerringGull, I have everything crossed for you! How are you feeling?

I'm quietly hoping it's implantation, the timing would be right- had a temp dip yesterday too that's back up again today. No more spotting either just that one wipe Confused

2DPO - Anyone with me....!
AlisonWhite · 31/10/2020 22:59

Hi everyone, I am so new to this. Have just finished pill and have a LH strip kit but I can’t follow this forum convo as I have no idea what most of the acronyms stand for lol! Does anyone have the patience to list the lingo for me? Xxxxxx

HerringGull · 31/10/2020 21:27

@EllyNC definitely will! Bit scary now it's tomorrow... eek

@GreenApplesYo yeah I think it's a problem anywhere rural and pretty. I've heard about the issues in the Lake District, and Cornwall and more. Such a shame that the folk who grow up are forced to leave, cos young folk and young families are so important to places. It'll not change though unless there are laws made, and it's a tricky thing to legislate on I think. Shame you had to leave the Highlands but sounds like it's worked out anyway 😊 Totally agree about being young and free not being all it's cracked up to be. Give me marriage and nights in any day 😂

GreenApplesYo · 31/10/2020 19:18

@HerringGull ha I was going to mention the housing issue but didn't want to overstep the mark - it's a real problem here in the Lake District as well. Every other house is a holiday home or a second home. Wages are rubbish as it's all tourism jobs, and there are very few housing schemes for local people. Makes it difficult for young people to stay in the area. I'd say it was even more extreme in NW Scotland though as you're so remote - at least the Lake D is surrounded by the rest of Cumbria which is much cheaper (if poor and run down in places).

I didn't live in Ullapool for the whole time, I was simplifying quite a bit 🙂 I also worked near Lochinver. Then further south for a couple of years. My ex bf and I ran a business together for a while, we ended up breaking up eventually, which is why I moved. My 20s were a bit messy really! Quite glad to be all grown up and in my 30s haha (no offence to any 20-somethings of course!)

EllyNC · 31/10/2020 19:18

@HerringGull good luck to you too!! Keep us posted!!
