@Twinkle1989 xxxx

Twinkle1989 · 14/11/2020 18:26

Great news @AlisonWhite !
It does take a while - I didn't get AF for about 3 months when I stopped the pill!

Now the fun begins...and the shitty 2WW 😜 xx

AlisonWhite · 14/11/2020 17:26

Hello ladies, I hope you are all doing well. I find it hard to keep up with all the messages between work and my little phone screen but want to be part of your journey’s with you!
Today my LH strips went up to 200% for the first time after me coming off the pill 6 weeks ago. Yay! We dtd this afternoon to celebrate haha. At last I feel like my journey can begin... however long it may be.
Lots of love to everyone x

EllyNC · 13/11/2020 20:36

@unCliche haha get yourself some home mags and then if the weathers shit you can drink tea and cosy up and plan your new house 😍😍😍 🤞🏻 For us all!!

unCliche · 13/11/2020 19:21

It's my bday at the end of the month so it'll be an amazing bday present! I don't even think I'd mind spending my bday in lockdown if I got a BFP!
@EllyNC it only takes one sperm and you never know, your other half may have super sperm that can reach the egg before it's too late Grin I really do hope you manage to catch the egg!

I can literally spend all day looking at different tones of white paint. Haha!

EllyNC · 13/11/2020 19:09

@unCliche house things are an amazing distraction!!! You must be so excited!

EllyNC · 13/11/2020 19:09

Would be such a lovely Christmas present wouldn’t it!! ☺️ I’m not convinced we’ve got the timings right for this month so don’t think I’ll be symptom spotting so much etc, just gonna assume it hasn’t happened then it will be lovely if somehow it has 😂😂

unCliche · 13/11/2020 19:07

Absolutely! A nice little Xmas surprise. I don't think it matters if OPKs do or don't work because they don't confirm ovulation anyway and as long as you're checking other signs you should be fine. I check CM, temp and use OPKs so between those three methods, you should be able to get a good idea of when you're fertile.

Twinkle1989 · 13/11/2020 17:40

@unCliche I thought I had left it the 5 mins - as I check them once the CB has the result on - which I thought was 5 min 😳 I think this month has been up and down but I think @GreenApplesYo was like this on the cycle that resulted in a pregnancy ❤️ keeping everything crossed! It would be the best Christmas (in the shitty year) ever for us if we are lucky ❤️ xx

unCliche · 13/11/2020 16:46

That's awesome! If you ovulate tomorrow then we'll be around a similar DPO, Twinkle is a little ahead of us but we should mostly be testing around the same time then!
I'm feeling OK. I've been planning for the new house. We'll hopefully complete by February. I've been looking at tiles, carpets, paint colours, curtains etc. So there's a lot to keep me distracted. How about you? Anything planned to keep you occupied?

EllyNC · 13/11/2020 16:38

@unCliche yeah I do, sometimes the line is darker than other times but never as dark as the control! Maybe I just miss it 🤷🏼‍♀️ According to flo I ovulate tomorrow so hoping even if I ovulated a bit early (I’m a bit irregular so don’t really trust flo) We might have caught it 🥴 now I know we aren’t taking a break I feel more chilled about it all ☺️☺️ How are you feeling? Got some distractions lined up for the TWW?

unCliche · 13/11/2020 15:51

Oops the waiting 5 mins comment was for @EllyNC!

unCliche · 13/11/2020 15:48

Hey @EllyNC! Glad to hear you'll be TTC this cycle! Hopefully you were able to DTD at least once before ovulation came around.

@Twinkle1989 do you wait for at least 5 minute before checking the test line? I find that in the first 2 minutes, the line is really light, then starts to darken gradually to its final colour.

I got my +OPK yesterday alongside 4 days of EWCM. Probably ovulating today so I'm at 0DPO and just starting my TWW again.

EllyNC · 13/11/2020 11:10

@Cc7750 same here! Though I don’t think I have ever gotten a positive Opk ever so feel I should stop as it just stresses me out haha

Cc7750 · 13/11/2020 09:38

Good luck @Twinkle1989, all fingers and toes crossed for you. I’m back in the fun stage of weeing on a LH stick every morning, the joys!

EllyNC · 12/11/2020 22:48

@Twinkle1989 aww bless you! I found distraction was the best technique for the Tww when I was trying to get pregnant first time round!! Getting out of the house and away from google haha!! Fingers crossed for you!!
I’m doing good thanks, we’ve decided not to take a break from ttc after all so I’m here with you- but probably out this month as not sure how many fertile days I’ve got left! We’ll see!! Trying to just be chilled about it 🤣

Twinkle1989 · 12/11/2020 22:08

@EllyNC all good here - I'm 3DPO now so hoping and praying and trying to stop being a dick and getting myself in a flap!
How are you doing? xx

EllyNC · 12/11/2020 20:34

How are you all doing?? X

AKC88 · 09/11/2020 19:12

@Cc7750 haha yes A* for you.

@Twinkle1989 yeah it can get clinical, my hubby was always good at providing the goods when needed lol but it definitely wasn't always the most desired thing, especially mid week we aren't our finest lol. I'm good thank you, just tired and lots of toilet trips! My dogs have started to sense it I think, they never leave my side!

@HerringGull no sympathies required, I knew what I was getting myself in for haha! My first I didn't know I was pregnant until 10 weeks so I must not have been that bad, I remember being quite tired with my 2nd but apart from that I did get off lightly, I've never had morning sickness. Boobs are my main problem, they are sooo painful, ordered a load of new bras today in the quest for comfort lol!

HerringGull · 09/11/2020 16:15

@AKC88 oh my sympathies. Couldn't stay up past 8pm for almost the whole first trimester last time, such a nightmare! How were you with your previous pregs - did you emerge after 12 weeks feeling like a human again or are you one of those poor souls who suffers the whole way through?
@unCliche that's not long at all! Think it's good to have something else on the go as well (not just TTC) to keep your mind busy. Moving house will def do that for you!
@Cc7750 yep, fertile week!
@Twinkle1989 I think we've probably all spread out now as we'll all have different length cycles. Think these '2dpo' type threads only work the first month, then everyone's all over the place Grin Am sticking around though 'cos you're a pretty nice bunch :)

Twinkle1989 · 09/11/2020 14:59

I am in the midlands and it's pissed down for days ☹️ but makes staying in better 🤨

CB is now saying (of of last night) I am in Peak - which would fall correct so I'm less panicked but poor DP isn't getting a break 😭 it makes DTD quite clinical doesn't it?! Especially when you're not in the mood yet it's now or wait another month!

Then it will be the dreading 2WW - I'm guessing we will all be around the same time for those still TTC?

How are you doing @AKC88 ? xx

Cc7750 · 09/11/2020 13:29

I’m trying to keep up with all the short hand.. it’s like a quiz.. do FW = fertile week?! (If I’m wrong I still get A for effort ha)

I am Sussex and I have no rain yet, it’s the rain and wind that dulls the day.. Vitamin D supplements for winter, the fake sun tablet!

AKC88 · 09/11/2020 12:05

Morning All,

Been a bit MIA this weekend, exhaustion has completely kicked in, can't keep my eyes open after 8pm!!

How are you getting on @Twinkle1989? As the other girls have said...if in doubt just keep DTD!!!

@Cc7750 we had quite a nice weekend weather wise here too in Worcestershire but the rain is back today in full force!

@EllyNC bless you. Is covid putting you off? or is there more to your decision to take a break? only share if you want to BTW).

@HerringGull Enjoy it while you can, there isn't much post BFP DTD going on here haha!

@unCliche definitely a good decision, it's a marathon not a sprint lol. We saved most of our DTD last month for FW.

unCliche · 08/11/2020 13:46

Hey @Twinkle1989, you can't go wrong if you DTD every other day but I do understand needing to have control and knowing what and when things are happening in your body.
Ah poo, sucks you won't be TTC @EllyNC. Do you think you'd start again after lockdown is over?
@Cc7750 at least AF came and went quickly. Obviously no AF and a BFP would be better, but small blessings! Mine have been getting shorter too - 3 days! I'm in the South East and haven't gotten out of bed to look at the weather Grin
Welcome back @HerringGull and thank you! We've told them we want to complete by 1st Feb but hopefully earlier if we can. It's tenanted so we're both chain free. I'm on CD10 and I've only DTD once so far but I'm not making the mistake of starting early like I did last month and then exhausting ourselves!

HerringGull · 08/11/2020 11:43

Sorry I've been quiet... busy week! Delighted that you got your house @unCliche! It looks amazing, not like it needs any work at all. Do you know when you're actually moving in?
@AKC88 and @GreenApplesYo it sounds like everything's ticking along nicely 😊
I'm on CD8 so the most boring days are over thankfully. On to my favourite bit 😁
