Thank you @mommyofone2019 that's really reassuring.
Im actually not sure what to do at this point. I'm going to keep testing until this Saturday which is when AF would've been due, but I don't know at what point I should get the doctor involved given all the recent tests I've been having etc. I'm guessing I should wait until I pass the weekend and keep hold of a positive test?
Nosebleed again!
I'll take every nosebleed they want to throw at me!!!!

mommyofone2019 · 28/12/2020 19:08

@TheOrangeMonster I got a bfp with my daughter on 10DPO but I'm sure if I would have tested the day before it would have been positive too. And then on 16th December when I was 9DPO I got a bfp with baby no2!
Still very early days, I'm only 5 weeks & 2 days xx

TheOrangeMonster · 28/12/2020 19:00

@AnxiousAnnie86 it's a boots "early result" test so that's probably why, but I do need to get a FRER. Omg twins! 🤦‍♀️ that really would be amazing as it isn't in my family at all!

AnxiousAnnie86 · 28/12/2020 18:55

@TheOrangeMonster also, I know it's not what you wanted to hear but it was the same for us! We didn't try in the one month we fell! After 18 months.! Ironic isn't it 😂

OP posts:
AnxiousAnnie86 · 28/12/2020 18:51

@TheOrangeMonster there is no denying that!!! That's a really really strong line 9dpo on a boots own test!!!! Could be twins!! Wouldn't that be typical 🤣

TheOrangeMonster · 28/12/2020 18:16

Thank you everyone, it means so much.
@Blossom428 I don't have any more tests, just that one left over from an old pack (in date, thank goodness!) and it's too late and snowy to go out and get more now. I know, the cycle we gave up was the cycle we got a BfP, how ironic!
@mommyofone2019 is that with your first? I keep worrying that an early positive means it'll be a chemical but I need to stop worrying, the odds are in my favour I think (I hope).
@bwfcchick88 I will test again every day until AF is due I think - I hope I'll get more lines and getting stronger.
By the way, after 5 mins that line got pretty strong, I took a pic then (attached)
Sorry about the blur, hand was shaking.

Blossom428 · 28/12/2020 18:01

Yes I Had that zap feeling too... very sudden sharp then went.
You should get a frer if you can... have you got any?
I really hope it does stick for you!! Shows how being a little more relaxed knowing you had further tests coming up could have possibly helped!!
My fingers and toes are crossed for you- keep positive!! x

AnxiousAnnie86 · 28/12/2020 18:01

@TheOrangeMonster oh my gosh!!!! Congratulations! Definitely a positive!!! Test again!!!!!! X

OP posts:
mommyofone2019 · 28/12/2020 17:33

@TheOrangeMonster I had my positive at 9DPO. And I used a frer in the afternoon! If you have some I would defo test again using one x x

bwfcchick88 · 28/12/2020 17:30

@TheOrangeMonster Omg!! I had the same thing last month- if I were you I would give it a few days and test again but I reckon that is a positive!! Fingers crossed massively for you!!

bwfcchick88 · 28/12/2020 17:25

@TheOrangeMonster Omg I think that is a positive as well!! Fingers crossed massively for you!!

TTCagainHOPEFUL · 28/12/2020 16:41

@TheOrangeMonster congratulations!!!

TheOrangeMonster · 28/12/2020 16:40

I literally can't believe it: I'm pretty convinced it's going to be a chemical or the test is dodgy or something. Should I go out and get more or wait until tomorrow and see? I never test this early - I was just standing in the kitchen reading a recipe book and my gums started to bleed again and I just had a feeling - and last night I had a pinch - a big zap like an electric drill, right in my uterus, and all night I was sweating and dreaming ridiculous sex dreams....
My DH is wandering around with his mouth open. Neither of us can believe it.

Eek - omg, please pray for this to stick for me, I truly believed I'd end up having to have IVF....
Hell, I'd better cancel my next test at the hospital! Or do I leave it in case it doesn't stick? 😩

Blossom428 · 28/12/2020 16:34

Omg @TheOrangeMonster !!! That's amazing! So so happy for you!!

TheOrangeMonster · 28/12/2020 16:11

@mommyofone2019 I've never had one before!
Today I had a nosebleed and my gums started bleeding and I just thought it was bizarre.....
I'm scared it won't stick now 😱

mommyofone2019 · 28/12/2020 16:07

@TheOrangeMonster that looks like a positive to me!!!!

TheOrangeMonster · 28/12/2020 16:05

I'm shaking. I'm shaking and I can barely hold my phone to take a photo. I'm not imagining this am I? I'm only 9dpo! I had weird symptoms and so I peed on an early stick mid afternoon after having drunk loads today and this came up after 3 mins. (It says 6 mins on the pack). I'm not imagining it am I? Shit. I can't take my hand off my mouth.

@WaitingForEgg

I just got my period. Was so hoping for an extra Christmas present this year. 😥 back to the drawing board

The only saving grace is my periods do seem to have regulated again now

So sorry to hear that.. glad they've regulated though x
bwfcchick88 · 20/12/2020 16:06
@bwfcchick88 “dark year” is totally right, my goodness what a struggle it’s been.
This morning my husband started coughing so he’s gone to get a Covid test 🤦‍♀️
We have no idea where he would’ve got even a cold from as he hasn’t been out of the house in a week! Fingers crossed it’s just a nothing.
We just reorganised our whole Christmas because of yesterday’s changes - God help us if he’s somehow managed to get Covid whilst walking past someone in the street last weekend or something!
They don’t prepare you for the negativity, do they? All these online resources about TTC, they should make a point that it’s normal to experience real anger and jealousy if someone else announces their pregnancy and that it doesn’t make you a terrible person. That’s the thing for me - I get this anger and then I immediately feel so awful because it’s not fair on the person who got pregnant (I mean obviously I don’t go around yelling at pregnant women or anything but it doesn’t make it any easier!)
I might put in a call to the GP tomorrow just to check if they’ve had any news, that can’t hurt.
Well, no idea if I’ve I’d or not but I’m guessing I have, and we DTD two days before, day before and day of, this time ‘cause we wanted to, so come on date, we’ve ticked all of your boxes this cycle, “not trying”, not tracking or charting, not particularly caring AND sex on all the best days etc etc.....
🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Anyway, I hope you have a good Christmas in whatever form it is taking!

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear you've had to rearrange things. Fortunately we are only doing a present drop-off, so not changing much for us, but it is a pain when things have to be changed last minute. I really hope it happens for you this Christmas, and have a good one ☺🎄

Peony20 · 20/12/2020 15:17

Aww sorry to hear @WaitingForEgg 😒. Same here hoping for that special present but think AF is on the way 🙁 xx

O’d and fate, not “I’d” and “date”.
@bwfcchick88 good idea - always best to try out before dismissing!

I’m ok, yesterday I was bored and so I peed on an old digital OPK (I can’t believe the reader still works!) And for the first time literally ever, got a solid smiley face. I have never ever had one of those before, not even a flashing. Always the circle, so I showed it to DH and we DTD because we joked it might be a “sign”. Still waiting for test results after 19 days, may phone GP next week but they’ve got a lot on their plate so I feel guilty about nagging them, especially at this time of year.
“Giving up” has made me feel a lot better, I’m definitely getting less angry when other people get pregnant and although general stress levels haven’t improved that much (thanks, age of Covid) I’m caring less, which is a good thing!
Probably ovulating today if it didn’t happen overnight - maybe we’ll get a Christmas present, but I doubt it.
It’s the thought of pigs in blankets that’s keeping me going this week.
Massive fingers crossed you get your wish! I know what you mean about feeling less angry, we've just started using the Clearblue digital OPK and I got flashing smilies and a solid one, so I know I ovulate now, which has calmed me down a bit.. When you factor in the weird (probably dodgy) line I had, and the normal blood results in October, just makes me feel a bit brighter about it all, but still a long way to go. But I totally get where you're coming from, sometimes you need a mind switch, if that makes sense. Know what you mean about the anger - I flipped between rage and tears when I found out over the summer that my SIL is pregnant again (first baby turns 2 next month) but I was a lot less emotional than the first time around.
I do love pigs in blankets! We're briefly visiting family on Christmas morning then having dinner at home for the first time with just us and our naughty cat so I feel really positive about that. I hope you get your test results soon and that they go well. It's been such a dark year.
