Thanks SRyellow - bloody awful having a sweet tooth x

SRyellow · 26/10/2020 12:29

@bwfcchick88 that’s great news hormones are all normal. I definitely am one for too much sugar too X

SRyellow · 26/10/2020 12:27

So confused CD7 and seem to have two lines on the ovulation sticks, my first time using them today but looks like two lines to me, surely must be too early for a high reading

bwfcchick88 · 26/10/2020 12:15

Hey ladies, I hope you are all having a happy Monday (hate that bloody phrase). So I had my telephone consultation with my doctor this morning and all of my hormone levels were normal (which I'm massively relieved about) but my blood sugar is a bit high. He just said that I needed to work on getting it down and told me to monitor my periods and ring back if it happens again. I spoke to the practice nurse who gave me a few tips on diet (must stop drinking sugar in my tea!) and said they'd be happy to do another blood test on me in a year, but that I should probably return again in 6 months. My blood sugar has increased since my last lot of bloods 5 years ago (which were normal - mad considering I was mega stressed out) so I do need to watch it. Apparently apples and cordial can cause high blood sugar, and vitamin drinks as well?! Anyway, I'm relieved my hormones are normal and that I actually know so I can do something about it! Fingers crossed we all get our BFPs soon, especially for those in the TWW or currently ovulating xxx

AnxiousAnnie86 · 26/10/2020 06:40

I also have the backache that I allllllways get 14dpo! I've had it once before where opks go positive before period, so if it's that I've def learned my lesson and won't be doing them after ovulation again 😂

@Blossom428 I love whitby!!! It's one of my favourite places!

I did think I would test but I'm not going to, just gonna wait it out! It's my birthday Sunday imagine how lovely that would be! I just honestly don't see how I could be this month, we really didn't get the timing right!

@Chlo2701 heyyyy there you are! I've been wondering where you went! How's it going? Xx

Chlo2701 · 25/10/2020 23:20

@AnxiousAnnie86 eeeek I'm sooooo keeping my fingers crossed for you my lovely 🤞🏻 you've waited long enough, I really hope this is your time 🙏🏼
I'm still here ladies, I'm just lurking in the background 🙋‍♀️ ive gone off the radar as just taking a step back, but still reading all your comments 👀😬x

Blossom428 · 25/10/2020 22:29

@WaitingForEgg I know exactly how you feel and I thought the same. So hard not to feel jealous/ upset at other people and how quick they may conceive- although you see fb / social media posts and you rarely know the stories behind them. But just think when the time comes we know our little babies will be sooo worth it!!

Blossom428 · 25/10/2020 22:26

Sorry been a bit quiet, I'm away for a weekend in Whitby. A well needed relax!!
@AnxiousAnnie86 very strange about such positive OPKs... did I hear you say you may test tomorrow if AF doesn't show? 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽😆😆

Sorry to hear you aren't having the best time @TheOrangeMonster , but I think it's good to switch off like you say!! Speak soon and let's hope we al have some luck coming our way xx

WaitingForEgg · 25/10/2020 21:45

@AnxiousAnnie86 that’s a very good way to think about it

AnxiousAnnie86 · 25/10/2020 21:36

@WaitingForEgg i know that was a real kicker, but I try to think of it as I wouldn't want anyone to feel the pain We feel each month :( it's truly heartbreaking... think we all reach a point every now and then where it absolutely breaks us... that happened to me when my period came last month. I literally couldn't stop crying, this week marks a year since my miscarriage :( x

@AnxiousAnnie86 what tests do you have?? Some can detect really early can they not? .....its only a couple more days to wait (i know, i say only but it feels like years) .....couldn't be ovulation that is causing the positives could it surely....ive never used opks so i have no idea how accurate or inaccurate they can be in this situation but i have heard of people getting positives then getting a BFP on a test🤷‍♀️. Aaaah i don't know. Maybe just see what happens in the morning...

WaitingForEgg · 25/10/2020 21:25

@TheOrangeMonster I’m feeling the same. I know this is a TTC thread so I’m being unfair, but someone joining and getting PG first cycle has really saddened me. I’m so fed up with people finding it so easy, while I’m constantly being asked when we will be having one

AnxiousAnnie86 · 25/10/2020 20:46

I've taken about 7 opks today l blazing positive, I'm going to do one in morning, if it's positive I'm going to test! Arghhhh or do I wait till I'm a day late?!

OP posts:
AnxiousAnnie86 · 25/10/2020 15:17

@TTCagainHOPEFUL I know :( we are only tracking ovulation with the digital tests just once a day, cos my cycles are so long we are likely to miss it, I don't ever test anymore as it's just too hard too see xx

OP posts:
TTCagainHOPEFUL · 25/10/2020 13:43

@AnxiousAnnie86 there’s not paperclip at all. It’s like a cloud of purple and the line is underneath. I did another test but it’s negative so will wait to see if period comes now.
After a conversation with my OH we have decided not to track anything now. Not even periods I’ve deleted all apps then there will be no pressure on us cos the BFNs really hit us hard. Xx

AnxiousAnnie86 · 25/10/2020 13:26

@TheOrangeMonster it doesn't mean anything! I know it doesn't! I've had positive opks before a period before, just gonna forget about it now..

I'm sorry you are having a hard time with it. We will speak soon, take care in the meantime, and look after yourself x

OP posts:
TheOrangeMonster · 25/10/2020 12:26

@AnxiousAnnie86 you could do a FRER? Otherwise you'll obsess over whether the OPK means anything. At 13dpo a FRER will be accurate.
I really hope you finally caught.

Hi @Redfoot89 abs @TTCagainHOPEFUL

Guys I need to take a break from here again, the resentment demon is getting worse so I need to log off for a bit.

Fingers crossed for everyone, I'll be back next cycle with whatever news there is. In the meantime good luck!

AnxiousAnnie86 · 25/10/2020 12:08

Do you see the little paper clip where you post it's just on there, and then select it from camera roll, does the line have colour xx

OP posts:
TTCagainHOPEFUL · 25/10/2020 11:37

@AnxiousAnnie86 so I went back to the test I did this morning ( I know you shouldn’t go back to them) but there’s a faint line. The test is still wet so could it still be an evaporation line? When I did the test, it took a long time for the urine to go up to the control panel - longer than usual. Now there’s like a pink clouding on the test panel and that’s over the line. I got inspired by you and did an OPK and there’s a line but it’s not faint and it’s not solid. It’s in between I don’t know how to post a picture or I would

TTCagainHOPEFUL · 25/10/2020 11:05

@AnxiousAnnie86 I’ll get some then Thankyou.
Fingers crossed for you! Xx

AnxiousAnnie86 · 25/10/2020 11:01

I just did another it's more positive then when I've ever had one when ovulating! X

Redfoot89 · 25/10/2020 09:43

@TTCagainHOPEFUL i feel that way already and we have only just started. One minute im all chilled about it and the next im checking my tracking app and counting days etc Sad trying to hard to relax about it all but as you say, its super hard if not impossible to relax about something that you want so bad!!
