Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 4

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

@Juno231 thanks so much. I was having a wobble and panicking! Oh wowsers 😱 go OH!!! Long May it continue haha, hopefully he’s got it in him to last til OV 🤞🤞

@ambs1994 can you get hold of a FRER? They’re the best! If not definitely wait a couple of days 🤞

Juno231 · 03/12/2020 11:48

@ambs1994 :( remind me how many dpo you are?

OP posts:
ambs1994 · 03/12/2020 11:46

@mumof23188 yep first morning. Might just wait a couple more days now

Juno231 · 03/12/2020 11:44

@mumof23188 they look good I think! I think the shift looks lower due to your FP temps being high but your LP temps certainly look good by being in the 36.80-90s. OH must be ill as he's initiated DTD two nights in a row! That's unheard of! I'm a bit worried he'll run out of steam before ovulation though 😂

mumof23188 · 03/12/2020 11:35

Here’s my chart! I’m a bit concerned about my temps! @Juno231 do they look high enough or do you think there could be an issue?

@Juno231 glad the spotting has stopped! Yay to FW 😁. Hope you got started with a bang yesterday and your OH stopped being in a funk 😆.

@LarasMama how’s your HR today? Yes I’ve also read that days 8-9 are most common for implantation 🤞. My HR went up by one so I’m 64 now. Totally agree about breastfeeding, initially it was the hardest thing ever but so worth it. I was determined as with my first DC I had to stop due to severe mastitis. Oh wow! Mine completely stopped! Yes seems it’s different for everyone.

@ambs1994 ahh I’m sorry, I can’t see anything. Was it first morning wee?

ambs1994 · 03/12/2020 10:37

Pretty sure this is negative

@Juno231 Oh dear, that is so frustrating!
You can improve your thyroid function naturally too. Selenium is great for your thyroid. 1 brazil nut a day can deliver enough Selenium. Go for the organic kind. Maybe it's worth a shot?

Juno231 · 02/12/2020 21:12

@LarasMama thank you, it feels nice to have my worries validated and not batted away! I did speak to my gp about it and she refused to prescribe anything or to refer me. She said the 2.5 guidelines are for people with hypothyroidism already diagnosed. She did also say that the fertility clinic might do something about it but that I'd have to wait until then 😅

OP posts:
LarasMama · 02/12/2020 21:09

@ambs1994 I guess I'd wait another couple of days then. :) I hate wasting tests. Haha...

LarasMama · 02/12/2020 21:06

@Juno231 So many things can affect our fertility. I would maybe ask to have them checked and supplement. As for your TSH levels, I do believe they are too high especially if you have symptoms of hypothyroidism and haven't been able to conceive for a year. I need to be on l-thyroxine and my doctor has always told me I should be around 1. The NHS guidelines go by old lab ranges that have been deemed outdated by most endocrinologists.
I would ask to have them rechecked and explain that you would like to try taking a small dose of l-thyroxine (25). It may take some convincing, but honestly there is no harm in being on a small dose. For you to become hyperthyroid on such a small dose is quite unlikely.

Juno231 · 02/12/2020 20:53

@LarasMama actually they did not check vitamin d or ferritin! Tbh I didn't even realise they could affect fertility! My TSH results annoyed me though as they were at 3.1 and everything I read says it should be maximum 2.5 for TTC (and ideally around 1 I think) but the NHS guidelines call everything up to 4.4 normal so 🤷‍♀️

@LarasMama been very light, nothing painful, i just know they're there if that makes sense. I have no idea what dpo i am, I didnt track. Average LP I think is 13 days

LarasMama · 02/12/2020 20:36

Found this today! I found it so helpful.

LarasMama · 02/12/2020 20:34

@ambs1994 Your RHR sounds so promising! What type of cramps are you having? What DPO are you and how long is your LP usually? You could test in the morning if AF is already late. Smile

LarasMama · 02/12/2020 20:31

@mumof23188 Hey dear, oh, your RHR has gone up by one for you! That's at least something. My RHR has been stuck at 60 for a few days now. It's so frustrating. I'm 6 DPO today and I honestly have nothing else to report. I googled what the most common day for implantation is and found some sources that suggest it's 9 DPO. So we're not completely out yet! Smile
I also love breastfeeding, it's challenging and hard work, but once you get the hang of it it's lovely. My period returned after 6 weeks and I had irregular cycles until my DD was 5 months old. After that my cycles returned fully even though I wasn't supplementing. It's so different for everyone it seems.
I really hope our RHR go up soon.

@MissBPotter That sounds promising! :) I don't think I could handle breastfeeding while pregnant if my next pregnancy is anything like my first. My nipples were so sore.

@Juno231 Some couples take longer to conceive, even when everything is fine. You probably also had your thyroid, vitamin d and iron (ferritin) levels checked, right? I hope this cycle will be your cycle! Fingers crossed for you!

ambs1994 · 02/12/2020 19:38

Im up to 74 now! Af didnt arrive today but I'm fully expecting it to come at any point. Know when you just feel really bloated and I've had some cramps throughout the day. I'm not sure if I should wait til I'm really late to test? I've done early testing before and it does no good to anyone I think.

Ylladyoll · 02/12/2020 17:15

Thanks i will check that out :)

Juno231 · 02/12/2020 17:06

Forgot to say - my RHR is at 72 today! I dread to think what it will look like in the LP this cycle 🙊

@mumof23188 no more spotting btw and fertile week now! Am CD9 but can ovulate any day from CD11-17 so I usually start DTD today :) Having said that - OH was in the mood yesterday so I guess our next round is tomorrow lol.

OP posts:
Juno231 · 02/12/2020 16:59

@Ylladyoll I'd recommend ubiquinol/coq10 to improve the egg quality :)

@LarasMama I've had it all checked, got really good progesterone levels and the ultrasound said my lining was good too. Can't help but feel like something isn't right though if I'm on cycle 12 without even a whiff of a BFP ever.

@lucyrp you can only add RHR if you're paying for premium so that would explain why your searches haven't gone well :( I'm so glad it looks like you ovulated 20 days early though - that's fab!

OP posts:
mumof23188 · 02/12/2020 16:17

@lucyrp that’s so much better for you! 20 days shorter 😱🎉. I paid ten pounds for a month but it’s cheaper if you buy a few months at a time but I just wanted to test it out. It’s quite good, it gives you more info. I took a screenshot for you. Then you get access to the forums. I think if you like the one you’ve got them stick with it.

@MissBPotter yay for ov 🎉 what CD did you manage to dtd? I conceived my last baby on CD10 so it can happen ☺️. My dates were bang on all the way through aswell so I know exactly when he was conceived. Crazy when you think about it isn’t it!

Thank you! I’m praying for a rise 🤞🤞🤞

MissBPotter · 02/12/2020 12:36

I think today might be ov day! Only cd11 so probably not ideal but rhr up again after a dip and thought I could feel it this morning. Have only dtd once again which is annoying, I don’t want to pressure DH but need to get on with it!

@mumof23188 Your chart looks good, hopefully more of a rise in the next few days.

@LarasMama I conceived dd2 while breastfeeding, on the first try actually! Was quite a shock. Dd1 was about 16 months so not feeding that much by then, but I carried on for about a month after my bfp, but then the milk seemed to stop.

@lucyrp yay for shorter cycles! We have the opposite problem Grin

@mumof23188 i know! I ovulated on CD45 last cycle and it was 59 days long and this one is only predicted to be 39😱 noo I don't I pay for Femometer but not ff! How much is it ? Is it worth it ? I've looked so many times to no avail 🤣

mumof23188 · 02/12/2020 11:14

@lucyrp that’s amazing. 20 days earlier 😱. Let’s hope it’s a definite 🤞. Thanks 🙏🏼. Do you pay for the ff app? I paid for a month and I was fiddling about with the app and somehow managed to do it! It wasn’t easy to find tho!
