Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 4

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

@mumof23188 I swear there is a line there!

@LarasMama thank-you! Me too Grin

mumof23188 · 05/12/2020 07:40

@LarasMama yes it’s definitely here haha. The joys 😆. That’s great it’s not persistent. Do you check your cervix at a certain time daily? You would of had sperm waiting for the egg though so you never know 🤞. I agree, the internet cheapies aren’t good for early testing.

So 10dpo and yet again I’ve been stung by FRER and their bloody lines 😩

@Juno231 Can you get your ferritin and vitamin d levels checked? But yes, Floradix is great! I do take it preventative sometimes too.

@Alicespring Aww, congratulations! Hopefully soon you will hear both heartbeats.

@mumof23188 Progesterone our old friend...It keeps messing with us, but we're not out until AF shows, right? My nausea is only until midday and it goes away once I eat something. CM is creamy white and quite abundant. Cervix position is now medium and soft. I really don't expect much from this cycle, seeing that we only dtd once 2 days before ovulation.
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you! Hope your prayers get answered and you'll be surprised with a BFP! Smile
Which test will you be using? I only have the internet cheapies at home. I don't find them very reliable in early pregnancy. So I'll just wait until I'm convinced that I could actually be pregnant...Haha.

@MissBPotter Great that your RHR is on the rise already! Keeping my fingers crossed!

Alicespring · 04/12/2020 20:40

Thank you everyone 🥰

mumof23188 · 04/12/2020 18:02

@Alicespring wow 🥰 congratulations. Really hope little bean keeps growing. Hope your sickness improves bless you but it’s all worth it isn’t it ☺️ Lovely to read your update.

@MissBPotter I can’t help but feel that I’m totally out!! Just preparing myself for the BFN tomorrow. Great about your HR ☺️ Hope it continues to rise for you 🤞

MissBPotter · 04/12/2020 16:39

@Alicespring oh gosh how exciting twins! Definitely keeping fingers crossed for the other little one. Hope the morning sickness improves though, look after yourself!!

SarahTTC2020 · 04/12/2020 14:41

Oh @Alicespring how exciting but also tentative for you. Keeping my fingers tightly crossed that the other bean is just slightly behind and will be ok xxx

MissBPotter · 04/12/2020 13:19

@mumof23188 awesome will power! It is definitely better not to test crazy early, def agree.

@Juno231 I used spatone when pregnant last time. Definitely worth supplementing vit D, the more I read about it the more it seems to be super important and most people will be low in the winter.

Rhr gone up again today, 2dpo.

Alicespring · 04/12/2020 12:59

@Juno231

Apparently a lot of people would benefit from an iron supplement so it might be worth a try anyway 🤷
Had my follow up scan today....it's twins! Although there is only one heartbeat so it could go either way, a whole nother week to find out if the wee bean managed to grow and develop a heartbeat. Other wee bean is doing great though, strong heartbeat. No wonder I've been floored with morning sickness 🙈

mumof23188 · 04/12/2020 11:39

@LarasMama morning! Can’t really say as I’m temping vaginally and the last few were orally. So can’t compare them really from what I’ve read. It felt like I’d jarred it. Was a tender feeling. It’s gone now though. I’m also feeling slightly nauseous, I hate progesterone for this very reason! What was your CM like? Don’t count yourself out yet, every pregnancy is different.

@Juno231 is it really? 🤞🤞. I’m planning on testing tomorrow morning at 10dpo then again at 12dpo. I’m so proud I’ve not tested early this cycle 🤣. I didn’t buy any ICs for this very reason.

After having a read through definitely get something and see if it helps. Isn’t there also something you add into water?

Juno231 · 04/12/2020 11:15

@mumof23188 that bbt rise looks promising! When are you planning on testing?

@Alicespring hmm I've got cold hands and icy feet but that's about it I think! Been losing a lot of hair this year but I wonder if that's linked to something else. Wouldn't have a clue if my gums were paler than they should be 😅 (although they do seem quite pale, looking at them now). I'm also chronically tired but it's hard not to assume it's weather/work/darkness related.

Maybe I should get some floradix @LarasMama ! Love that stuff

LarasMama · 04/12/2020 11:02

@mumof23188 Good morning dear! Does your bbt usually go up by now? Pulled muscle sounds interesting! Is it a sore feeling or a pulling type of feeling?
So yes, I’m 7 dpo, RHR is still at 61. I’m still feeling nauseous, but my stomach seems to be acting up. Maybe I ate something wrong or my body is playing tricks on me. Must be because nothing is happening with my RHR. 🤷🏻‍♀️
TMI: Had lots of CM this morning. So I checked my cervix position and it went high up. Can’t even tell if it’s hard or soft because I cannot reach it. It’s a strange cycle but nothing like when I got pregnant with dd, so I doubt that I actually am.

mumof23188 · 04/12/2020 08:51

@MissBPotter thanks 🤞. Great news you’ve ovulated. 🤣🤣 oh my, nothing like being interrupted by kids is there.

@LarasMama I’m 9dpo today so you must be 7dpo? Yes Fitbit confuses me too with the way it works it out. I’m feeling the same really, still so hungry and my stomach felt like I’d pulled a muscle yesterday.

@ambs1994 sorry lovely! Maybe try again in a couple of days if AF is still a no show!

So I’m 9dpo today! HR has stayed the same at 64 but bbt went up a touch.

@Alicespring I took floradix (liquid and pills) and both worked. The liquid one can stains the teeth temporarily a bit. That was the only drawback.

Alicespring · 03/12/2020 22:05

@LarasMama that's what I'm finding difficult is the back me up so much, someone told me to get a liquid one from boots but I've not done it yet! I've not had them rechecked yet as I was to take them till end of Dec and go back but I feel a lot better

LarasMama · 03/12/2020 22:00

@ambs1994 I can’t see anything either I’m afraid. I’d wait a few days and test first thing in the morning.

LarasMama · 03/12/2020 21:58

@Alicespring I had similar symptoms. I took something natural and it worked great. It also didn’t upset my stomac. In my 2nd trimester I had low levels again and had to take it again otherwise I would have gotten an infusion which I really hoped I wouldn’t need. What are you levels now?

Alicespring · 03/12/2020 21:22

@ambs1994

I don't really think I can see anything. Sorry 😔

ambs1994 · 03/12/2020 17:43

First response after work. I was literally busting when I took it so was a good hold. I think this is negative too but something is catching my eye, could just be me!

Alicespring · 03/12/2020 17:42

@Juno231

I was beyond knackered all the time (I've been low before, heavy periods), my eyelids, gums and nail beds were really pale, my feet were always freezing and I would get out of breath just walking up the stairs. I've not actually taken the iron tablets for a couple days (been struggling really bad with nausea and they don't help) but this is maybe making me think I should make more of an effort to take them on time! I'm not actually anemic though just low iron.

Juno231 · 03/12/2020 17:34

@Alicespring aah that's interesting! What made you get it tested? And could you feel that you were low on ferritin?

OP posts:
Alicespring · 03/12/2020 17:15

@LarasMama @Juno231

Just when you guys are talking about ferritin levels.....

I had a level of 6 and got put onto tablets and the next month I got my BFP. Didn't know there was a connection between them both!

LarasMama · 03/12/2020 16:46

@mumof23188 That’s a lovely rise! You are 7 DPO now, right? Do you have any symptoms yet? Yesterday I kept thinking I was 6 DPO, turns out I’m 6 DPO today. 😂 My RHR is up by one - now at 61. But honestly fitbit confuses me. I have the same pattern and sleeping RHR (lowest at 53) like the days before. 🤷🏻‍♀️
I had some (progesterone?) symptoms. I’m super moody, have to pee a lot and was nauseous. I really think I’m out this month.

@Juno231 That sounds like fun! TTC can be so stressful, it’s nice to just enjoy each other, right? 😎

MissBPotter · 03/12/2020 14:02

@ambs1994 how annoying but maybe it’s too early. Fingers crossed.

@mumof23188 I think your rhr looks really good on that chart.

I think I did ov yesterday, temp has gone up again and no more pains/mild cramping, also not noticed ewcm. Managed to dtd last night even though our three year old interrupted us saying she had fell out of bed!! Luckily she was oblivious to what we were doing... think she was half asleep!

ambs1994 · 03/12/2020 13:07

@juno231 i have no idea, i didnt track. Usually ovulate day 21 - 23 ish. Now on cycle day 35. Plus I was 8 days late last month so dont know if its having an effect this cycle.

@mumof23188 yeah i might do, boots are doing 2 for 1 i think aswell
